-If They Only Knew-
"Chyna: The Ninth Wonder of the World" is a particularly big accomplishment to Chyna because she says when she started in the World Wrestling Federation, she had two goals -- her own action figure "because I thought that was neat" and a book. Both goals will be fulfilled when the novel is released on the early fall. The early reviews are positive. "It's one of those situations where I read a couple of pages and I really wanted to read a lot more," said World Wrestling Federation announcer Jim Ross. "It's really going to be more about her life than about headlocks and hammerlocks; (it will be) really, really interesting, because her life has been interesting."
Of course, the two previous superstar autobiographies -- The Rock's and Mick Foley's -- reached No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. "Those books did wonderfully because of the magnitude of the stars they are," Chyna said. "I'm hoping that my book will do well in our fan base, but I'm not The Rock either. So I know that there should be some pretty good content in that book to get people to read it, which I feel there is. "Maybe there are some other people at the Barnes & Noble who may not known who Chyna the wrestlers is but when they see the book and hear about the book might want to read it for other inspirational purposes or because the story is really great and not just about wrestling. Maybe we'll be able to grab some other fans out there because of Chyna's life story. And I think that's a pretty cool opportunity to be able to do that."
