You Were Right

You were right about me
You were so right
Everything you said
You saw the evil in me

And you were right

I am not a good person
All those evil intentions
You thought I had...
Well, I lied when I denied them

You were so right

I've been fooling myself
Making myself believe in my nobility
But you saw it for what it was
A crock, a lie, a deception

You were right about me

What you have I want
I sometimes wish I could kill you
And take your place
Step into your shoes and your life
And have what you have

I can't deny it anymore
I can't pretend any longer
I don't want to anymore
It hurts to pretend
It hurts too much

So yes, I want what you have
I want the love that belongs to you
I want the greener grass
I want the brighter ray of sunshine
I want the one who loves you
