MLW Saturday Night Fire Results

October 5, 2002

We start out the show with a one on one shoot interview with myself and ABH Matt Casey. Casey said that the MLW International Championship was just a stepping stone to his sixth MLW Championship. He said that he didn't hate Big D, just "really disliked" him. The most noteworthy part of the interview came when Casey said he felt he should be the leader of the Corporate Connection because of all of his accomplishments, not the Hot Shot. Casey stormed off.

Jay v. Big D

Both men made their way to the ring for this matchup. Lockup, Jay locks D in a front chancery and but D backs Jay into the corner. Arm wringer by D but Jay counters it into a leg trip. Lock up, D backs Jay into a corner and works the body over with some right hands then throws on a side headlock. Jay shoots him off the ropes and D hits a shoulder block. D goes for the cover and only gets two. Shortarm clothesline by D then D follows it up with a legdrop (one of the best I might add, next to The retired one, Neil). D only gets a two count, D locks him in an arm wrench and hits a suplex. D then starts to work over the leg and locks on a spinning toe hold. D picks up Jay and sends him off the ropes and hits a flying clothesline but only gets a 2 count. Jay reverses and irish whip into the corner, D staggers back out and gets caught with a German Suplex but Jay only gets a 2 count. Jay locks on a boston crab on D but he lets go of the hold. Jay whips D into the ref and the ref goes down. Jay throws D to the outside but D fights back. D drops Jay throat first across the top rope and only gets a 2 count. ABH comes out and Jay pushes D into the ref and the ref turned away as the ref turned away ABH hit D with the belt and Jay hit the R.E.F. to get the 1,2,3 on D to score a huge upset.

Your winner is Jay!

We go backstage to see MLW C.E.O our "fair" boss was on the phone until he was interrupted by The One Man Army PAT. PAT is scheduled to fight Chuck tonight and PAT is not happy cause he is the #1 contender and he feels he deserves a better match. But Hot Shot gave PAT what he wanted. Tonight PAT would be in the Handicap match against ABH and Nemesis. Due to an undisclosed knee injury, the Sickness will be out till Ultraclash, so PAT will take his spot in that match tonight.

We see Chainsaw w/ helmet and all, riding on a very girly bike into the MLW arena and all of a sudden a paranoid Shotgun blazes out and jumps Chuck and kept saying, "You will not intimidate me" as he beat Chuck into oblivion.

We catch Ryan in his lockeroom and apparently CD was left for him. He popped it in the player and played this song. Apparently the message in the song got to Ryan as he completely snapped. Does this have any links to the stuff on the board? Who is behind this?

We see PAT, the #1 Contender in his lockeroom and he had a few words for us. PAT talked about his climb up the ladder in MLW and he said that in tonight's match he would have back up, in the form of a steel chair. He said, "After tonight, Shotgun I'm coming for you."

Main Event: Handicap Match: PAT v. Nemesis and MLW International Champion, ABH Matt Casey

All participants made their way to the ring for this match. Nemesis starts out against PAT. PAT hits a kick to the gut and hits a roll through DDT and only gets a 2 count. Nemesis gets back up and clotheslines PAT down. Nemesis sends PAT off the ropes and hits a side belly to belly but only gets a 2 count. PAT gets back up and goes for the chair but PAT turned his back on Nemesis and he mauls him in the corner. Nemesis shoots PAT off the ropes and hits a clothesline. Nemesis tags in ABH. ABH climbs to the top rope and hits a double axe handle but only gets a 2 count. ABH picks up PAT and hits a clothesline and then follows that up with a diving elbow. ABH whips PAT into the corner and hits a clothesline coming in and PAT falls out of the corner. Tag to Nemesis, PAT reverses his irish whip and hits a clothesline. PAT locks on a version of a full nelson camel clutch but Nemesis gets to the ropes. PAT gets up and sends Nemesis into the corner and Nemesis staggers out and gets hit with a T-Bone Patplex but PAT only got 2 on that pinfall. PAT continues the offense but Nemesis strikes back w/ a shot to the gut and he whips PAT into the corner. Foot Choke by Nemesis then Nemesis backs up and hits a big splash but only gets a 2 count. Tag to ABH.

ABH throws PAT into his corner and is met w/ a knee by Nemesis and ABH goes for the roll up after but only gets two. ABH whips PAT into the ropes and hits a dropkick. ABH misses the elbow from the top rope and PAT fights back and he hurls ABH into his corner and he tags Nemesis. DDT by Nemesis but only gets a 2 count. PAT counters the assault by Nemesis and hits a vertical suplex. A slugfest occurs between these two monsters w/ PAT getting the best of the exchange. Nemesis gets whipped off the ropes and gets a clothesline. PAT whips Nemesis into the corner and a blind tag by ABH. ABH hits a clothesline and then locks on the Chambers of Heart but PAT powers out. ABH gets back up and throws PAT off the ropes and hits a middle kick to the gut and hits a DDT. ABH goes to tag Nemesis but he backs off, ABH tries again but the same result. Their seems to be mis-communication between the two of them.

ABH goes to the outside and grabs the belt but Jay the ref takes it away from ABH. As ABH turned around he was met with a T-Bone and both men were down. PAT staggers over to ABH’s limp body and drops and arm over his chest but ABH kicks out at a 2 count. Finally ABH gets the tag to Nemesis and Nemesis sends PAT into the ropes and hooks his neck w/ a hooking clothesline. Nemesis distracts the ref and he started to unloosen the top turnbuckle. PAT blocks the head shot into that exposed turnbuckle and rams Nemesis’ head into that turnbuckle and he was out. ABH comes in to check on Nemesis and Big D comes out of nowhere and hits ABH w/ his belt and ABH staggers back into the PATmission and PAT gets the win.

Your winner is PAT

It wasn't over there, D goes running after ABH on the outside of the ring and Hot Shot comes out of nowwhere with a blind side clothesline. Nemesis goes after PAT and a double team by the Connection on Big D. Ryan comes out to break up the connection double team, all these men go back into the ring. ABH gets tossed out of the ring by Big D, Hot Shot chucks D out. PAT clotheslines Hot Shot over the top rope and Ryan goes right at Nemesis and knocks him over the top rope. All that was left in the ring was the Champ and the Challenger. A stand off happened but we didn't have enough time to see if anything transpired cause we had to cut our cameras.

Question is, Can those two combustible elements hold off till Ultraclash? We will find out next week on Saturday Night Fire!
