MLW HAS FOUND A HARDCORE HOME!

This is Ryan "Shotgun" Morris, MLW alumni! For the past 15 years, myself, Notorious Neil, and Achey Breaky Heart Matt Casey have had an underground wrestling federation called Major League Wrestling. At first, it was just for fun. We'd do battle in my grandmother's basement and we always dreamt of taking our little group public. Well, 2 years ago, we decided to try and make this dream a reality.

Myself, Matt, and Neil enrolled some friends to take MLW to the big time. "The Outlaw" Vic Prime, $E-Money$, "The Innovator of Silence" Big D, and The Rapta! We had some other friends, but they thought about what was good for them more than what was good for MLW, so they're no longer with us.

However, we had a problem. Where would the new MLW battles take place? We thought about the backyard, but too many regulations were against us. We then thought about renting an arena, but we realized that NY State is very strict about wrestling licenses. Suddenly, what was supposed to be 2 months of looking for a place, turned into 2 years. Which brings us to July 23, 2001.

Myself and The Outlaw, together making up the tag-team Rebel Arsenal, decided to take matters into our own hands. We found this junkyard not too far from my house. We thought that we'd find some good stuff there. It turned out to be the understatement of the year. The junkyard is about the size of a football field hidden by trees and covered by sand. The MLW Coliseum, as we named it, is surrounded by an 8-foot fence with barbed wire protecting it. The way the land is shaped, it looks like an arena. It starts out high, where the stands will be, and goes lower, where the ring will be. There's even a high place for the announcer's booth!

Outside of the coliseum, there is a huge mountain of dirt, which we named Mount Major. This thing is impossible to climb. A Mount Major Match, where a wrestler must climb the mountain to get the title from the top, will make ladder matches seem like a thing of the past.

We walked further down and saw a 6 foot wall of stone covered in graffitti with "FTW" as one of the terms on it. A great place for cutting promos. We were feeling that we were destined to find this place. We didn't know what lay ahead.

A little further up and into the woods must have the most extreme area ever seen! Spools of barbed wire, pallets, steel rods, and more hardcore goodies were all there! We named this part Extreme Corner and the Extreme Title Matches will take place here.

We took pictures of the whole place which will be up on the site in a couple of days. We even saw a praying mantis cross our path on the way out. We were definately destined to find this place!

What's next? Well, this Monday, we're going to have a meeting at our new "home". The MLW may finally start this summer! If you live in the NY area and would like to join, just E-Mail the webmaster and he'll give you the info.
