Birds of a Feather Flock Together
Raven's Secret Negotiations to Reform the Flock
Rumors of a dark secret have been flying around the World Wrestling Federation. Raven's plan to make the Federation a drab, dismal place has taken flight, as the former leader of the infamous "Flock" has begun negotiations with numerous Superstars to reform the group. A special World Wrestling Federation has uncovered top-secret information that will shed some light on Raven's design for days of doom. Those who have followed Raven's career know that in both ECW and WCW, the bizarre grappler recuited numerous other lost souls to a group that became a cult-like following. Snce joining the Federation last year, some admirers have been awaiting the next coming of Raven's Flock, and a recent investigation leads us to believe that this reunion may indeed be forthcoming.
A private investigator fired by WWF Magazine recently followed Raven during a one-week stretch of Federation events. Several hours before the first show was scheduled to begin, the investigator was surveiling the arena when he discovered Raven and Kidman sitting next to each other in the stands, holding a seemingly ominous conversation. Although the investigator was unable to hear exactly what they were talking about, using a sound magnifier, he picked up enough dirt to deduce they were reminiscing about Kidman's days as a member of Raven's Flock in WCW. Oddly enough, the two Superstars lef in different directions as soon as they were seen together.
A few hours after that initial incident, another bizarre occurrence followed--this one even more puzzling. The investigator trailed Raven to a janitor's closet. Moments later, Saturn--under the guise of looking for a broom--entered the closet as well. The investigator caught their laughter on tape, though most of their conversation is unintelligible. But since Raven recently tortured Saturn by obliterating the love of his life, Moppy, there is no logical reason for them to be together. However, astute fans may remember that Perry Saturn was one of the original members of Raven's Flock. Perhaps that is the tie that binds these two forever.
Seeing Raven talk to two former Flock members could have been coincidence, but when the same invetigator saw him congratulate Steven Richards on a great match and told him to give his two friends "the message", the apparent plan to reform the Flock was subsequently revealed. Before being leaer of the now-defunct Right To Censor, Richards was a loyal member of Raven's Flock and has had a friendship with Raven dating back to their days together in ECW.
We later spoke with a reliable source to find out more details reguarding the disbanding of the RTC. "The two members of the RTC closest to Richards were the Goodfather and Val Venis," says a Superstar who wishes to remain anonymous. "I specifically heard Richards tell them that down the line, he would take care of them and make sure they received the opportunity they deserved for their loyalty. Richards is too headstrong to be part of a group without being the leader, so I imagine that he meant he would put in a good word with Raven and get them a spot in the Flock. After all, Richards and Raven are two of the best when it comes to mind control." While the conversations with Saturn and Kidman make sense due to their former membership in the organization, the inclusion of Val Venis and the Goodfather is a little more perplexing. Perhaps Raven is interested in them because as members of the RTC, the two have already shown a propensity to follow a strong leader--an attribute he looks for. Also, each man is looking to regain a footing in the WWF, and perhaps they feel that teaming with a powerful faction will give them an edge in doing so.
Also interesting is that many years ago, the Goodfather competed as Papa Shango, a dark and mysterious utsider who openly practiced witchcraft. And while the Goodfather wouldn't fit in with Raven's minions, Papa Shango would be a perfect complement to join the Flock. While our private investigator was trailing Raven two nights later, he observed Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible and Raven leaving a hotelbar and departing in one car. This is quite suspicious, as Tommy Dreamer is a man with a storied history as Raven's childhood nemesis. Apparently, Raven is burying past vendettas in hopes of building an invincible new contingent consisting of people he has fought both with and against.
For right now, Raven seems to be renewing old friendships and negotiating with Superstars he believes will stand by him when the time comes. While we do know that Raven is laying the groundwork to reform a new chapter of the Flock, we do not know when his plans will come together, how these events will unfold, or if his plans will be seen to fruition. If the reunion of the Flock materializes, the collective group will be quite a force. The enigmatic loner will have a loyal following and nobody in the Federation will be safe from Raven's reign of terror.
