Interview EXCLUSIVE to Wrestling-Edge: This interview was conducted by Richard Furness with Scott Levy (Raven). Do NOT use this interview without consent.

Richard Furness : First of all, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this interview with me for the fans of wrestling-edge.

Scott Levy : You're very welcome.

Richard Furness : Thanks, first of all, what made you get into the wrestling business in the first place?

Scott Levy : Well, I used to sit and watch wrestling. I actually didn't even like it, until people like Ric Flair, and Hogan started. I just thought to myself, "wow, I wish I could do that!" So, I just set myself for a goal, and thankfully achieved it.

Richard Furness : So, those two greats were your idol's are you were first getting into the sport?

Scott Levy : Yeah, I used to just look at people like Hogan, and even Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and they were huge. I always wanted big muscles, but I'm happy with where I'm at.

Richard Furness : In your very successful career you've accomplished it all, you've been in the big three, WWF, WCW and ECW. Which did you enjoy the most, and why?

Scott Levy : Well, I will tell you the honest truth. No one backstage at WCW liked it at all. They weren't happy with their pushes, no one was getting credit, and people weren't happy with the roles they were playing. ECW was really great. That is as hardcore as you can get, and that's the way I like it. It was very interesting there. Then I moved to WWF, and people are very happy here, I got the push that I think I deserved by being the hardcore champion. And it's also really great to be working with old friends like Tazz, Tajiri, Jerry Lynn. It's great.

Richard Furness : Is it like the old days back in the ECW locker room?

Scott Levy : Yeah, Tajiri and Jerry Lynn are usually there to give me a pat on the back, and an occasional "great job".

Richard Furness : Do you think Vince McMahon's investment of WCW is a good one, one he can make successful?

Scott Levy : Oh yes, definitely. Vince will make it a great company......maybe even better than WWF. For at least the past year, Vince has dominated WCW in the rating wars, but, that may not be the case once WCW is back on its feet. Expect something great.

Richard Furness : Any plans for you to be a part of the new WCW?

Scott Levy : You never know.

Richard Furness : Would you be happy to work for the new WCW?

Scott Levy : If the option comes up, I will surely think it over.

Richard Furness : You've taken years of bumps, that must take its toll on the body, how's it feeling? Are you in good shape?

Scott Levy : Well, I've been hurt many times in my life, but I always seem to pick myself up, and do my best. I feel that I am in the best shape of my life.

Richard Furness : Do you feel that WWF management should give you another push or are you currently happy with where you are at the moment?

Scott Levy : I'm happy, I really don't want to beg and demand with what some people may say that I don't deserve. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved being hardcore champion, but I'm satisfied at where I'm at. Eventually I would love to go for maybe the European, or even intercontinental titles, but I'm happy right now.

Richard Furness : I truthfully think that you deserve a push, you have been such an influence to the wrestling business and I'm sure that there are thousands of fans out there who would love to see you get more TV time, but I cant argue with you if you say you're happy with where you are.

Scott Levy : Thanks

Richard Furness : Is there any particular superstar you feel that you could work a really good match and good angle with? Maybe an old friend from ECW?

Scott Levy : Definitely. I really think that I could work a match with Tajiri, but the scoop is that he may be feuding with Jeff Hardy in the future. Fans have seen me in the ring with Tazz, and that worked out really well. I could also have a solid, great match with Jerry Lynn.....don't be surprised if it comes up.

Richard Furness : So, a feud with Jerry could be on the cards?

Scott Levy : It may be in the future.

Richard Furness : How much input do you have into your matches?

Scott Levy : Quite a lot if I must say so, but I don't want to sound conceited or anything.

Richard Furness : Have you been impressed in the way that the whole company have structured the WWF/WCW Invasion angle?

Scott Levy : Oh yeah, I think this will be a big story in the future. We've seen people such as Lance Storm, Hugh Morris, Stacy Keibler.......tune into King of The Ring.....you won't be disappointed.

Richard Furness : Do you feel that maybe inter-promotion pay per views may be possible in the future?

Scott Levy : It could happen.

Richard Furness: What was the biggest bump that you have ever taken and what were the consequences of that bump?

Scott Levy : Out of all of my career?

Richard Furness : yes

Scott Levy : Well......there was an ECW house show that we did in Penn. Rhino and I were having a great match. He had set up a table outside of the ring, and we both got on the apron, and he did his move (which was a huge piledriver at the time) through the table, and a piece of the table hit my left eye, and I couldn't see for 2 days after the match.

Richard Furness : Ouch.

Scott Levy : I was so worried because the doctor had told me there was a possibility of losing all my sight in my left eye at the time.

Richard Furness : But, once again, you bounced back and have become one of the top wrestlers of all time.

Richard Furness : Have you set yourself any future goals?

Scott Levy : Yeah, I have set a goal for myself to one day become WWF Champion, and if the option comes up, one day become WCW champion. Then I can say I have held all the major titles in all the major organizations.

Richard Furness : When you finally retire what is the one word that you want people to remember you by?

Scott Levy : Superstar

Richard Furness : What can your fans look forward to in the next few months?

Scott Levy : Hopefully some great work at what I do best!

Richard Furness : I'm sure they wont be let down

Richard Furness : Back to your wrestling name, did you think of the name Raven when you were lying in bed one night or was it something that was put forward to you?

Scott Levy : Well, actually I loved the poems of Edgar Allen Poe, and when I read "The Raven" It amazed me.

Richard Furness : I would just like to say a very big thank you for agreeing for the interview. I hope that the rest of your career will be as successful as it already has been and I hope that you can achieve the goals that you have set yourself, thanks from me and from Wrestling-Edge.com

Scott Levy :You're very welcome, I do the most I can to make my fans happy.
