The camera travels along an empty street, until it reaches a manhole cover, the cover slides aside and the camera drops into the hole, The immeadiate black fades away and is replaced by an oncoming red glow. "Suffer Age" by Fear Factory begins to play and bursts into heavy guitar as the red glow is revealed as the mightiest of Hell's cities: Stygian. The camera speeds towards a large cavern, The letters "SWF" burn brightly outside the cave. The camera enters the orifice, and the Maelstrom logo bursts onto the screen, backgrounded by the picture of Dante and Phoenix standing back to back, both with distrustful looks on their faces.
When the logo fades the view is of the huge space that is the SWF arena, the camera circuits the arena, showing the ranks of demons that fill the crowd area some of whom hold up signs like "Dante - your new Champion!", "Silence in the Arena!!" and "One Word - Firebird!", the mortal enclosure above the Eden Gate seperated from the demons by it's perspex screens.
The twin HellTrons flash shots of the recent events in the SWF. The two opposing entrances, the HellGate, from which all of the demonic and otherwise Hellish members of the SWF roster enter the arena and the Eden Gate from which the mortal and Human wrestlers make their respective ways. Finally the camera stops at the commentary desk where four commentators sit in expectation of the evening's entertainment. They are Ozzy J, D Boss, Sarah Jihad and "The Idolator" Alan Slocumbe. The commenators sit on two seperate tables, as they are to interchange commentary between matches. That and the fact that Ozzy and Slocumbe are refusing to work with each other.

Boss: Welcome to SWF Maelstrom! And have we got a card for you tonight!
Ozzy: Have we? They're going to be disappointed if we don't!
Boss: Don't be thick, Ozzy. Yes, we have six highly-anticipated matches for you tonight, which I'll briefly take you through now.

The screen fades into pictures representing the various fights in the PPV. The first picture shows Phoenix, arms folded with his Tag Team title belt over his shoulder and World title belt around his waist, opposite Dante, who has a superior smirk on his face and holds his Tag Team title belt in his hands.

Boss: The main event tonight will see SWF Champion Phoenix take on no. 1 contender, Dante, for Phoenix's World title! These guys are far from friends...but they're also Tag Team partners, and the current Tag Team Champions! But they may not be by the time their fight comes up...

The picture changes. On the left, Phoenix and Dante are shown, in the same poses as the first picture. On the right, the members Malevolence are shown. Chapel has one hand clenched by his leather-covered chest and a determined frown on his face, while Malice stares coldly at the camera with Morrigan perched on her shoulder. In the background, Abel stands impassively.

Boss: Yes! Those two wrestlers must first team up and defend the Tag Team titles against Chapel and Malice of Malevolence! And we all know that if the rivals don't get on the same page, they will NOT come out of the match with the title belts!

The picture changes again. Lycan stands with a feral grin and one clawed hand in the air, InterDimensional title belt over his shoulder and partner Vixen just behind him.. Opposite him, Omega stands at attention, an emotionless look on his face.

Boss: But there's more than just the story of the Firebird and the Dark God! The InterDimensional Champion, Lycan, will defend his title against Omega! Both wrestlers have been put through the wringer recently, especially Omega with the injury sustained in the Bio-Tech cage! Will that be the difference maker?

The next picture shows two Tag Teams. On the left, OGK and Damien Morningstar stand side by side, tapping fists. OGK has the Deathmatch title belt around his waist. On the right, Chotek stands tall, gripping his Demonweight title belt with one scaly claw, backed up by stablemates Sotek and Set, and Silence stands with a slightly amused look and a bored stance.

Boss: Two titles on the line in this match. Deathmatch Champion OGK, with his stablemate Damien Morningstar, fight their nemesis, Silence, and the leader of Serpentine, Demonweight Champion Chotek. Remember, The champion on the losing team must surrender their title belt to the man on the winning team who has no title - even if they weren't pinned, or the other man didn't make the pin!

Next pic shows two dangerous looking people. The Anarkister is casually standing, pictured in the middle of idly tossing a small bomb around in his hands. Next to him, Inquisitor Salem stands solemnly with his customary look of superior anger. In the background, the hulking mass of the Heretic is seen.

Boss: The man on a mission for his soul, Salem, fights the man on a mission for his amusement, the Anarkister! Watch out for this match - expect to see the indestructible Heretic take a role...if Anarkister doesn't blow up the ring first!

The final match's picture is displayed. On the left, the Half-Elf Gal'Noren stands, slightly hunched to cradle the little griffin Dosel'Ttil in his arms. On the right, Bench Man stands in his absurd bench-attatched coat, trying (and failing) to look menacing.

Boss: And of course, we'll see Gal'Noren make his SWF debut, when he defeats...er, I mean fights the *snicker*dangerous*muffled laugh* self-proclaimed Bench Avatar, Bench Man!
Ozzy: You love the sound of your own voice, don't you?
Boss: Oh, shut up! We're about to start the event, with the Tag Team title match! But first, let's take a look at how this match came about!

Several scenes from the past few weeks flash on the screen. Malevolence are shown, defeating Serpentine a few weeks back. There are scenes of Malevolence being attacked and beaten down by Serpentine, Lycanthropy, and Gal'Noren. Then finally, the end of the Empty Arena match from two days ago is shown, where Malice and Chapel pin Vixen of Lycanthropy to win the Tag Team Tournament...
Other scenes are shown. Dante challenging Phoenix for the SWF title. The two winning the Tag Team titles, then arguing on several occasions, culminating in a shoving match and minor brawl in a barfight.

"Linchpin" is sung by the Choir of Tortured Souls, and Phoenix steps out onto the ramp, with both his title belts over a shoulder. He gets a huge pop from the crowd, and he nods to them as he walks down to the ring.

Ozzy: He's scared.
Boss: What?? I don't think Phoenix is scared of anything!
Ozzy: Trust me on this.

"Eyeless" starts up, and Dante walks down to the ring, tossing his title belt from hand to hand. The crowd boos, but Dante doesn't seem to give a damn. He jumps into the ring, smirking at Phoenix.

Ozzy: There you go. Our next SWF Champion!
Boss: Say what you want, I think he's going to find it a lot harder to beat Phoenix than you're claiming.
Ozzy: Yeah, right! Dante's got no...what's that?

The HellTrons have activated. They show Malevolence talking with Veil, leader of the Consortium of Nightmares! There isn't any sound being picked up, so we can't hear what's being said. Veil produces something which looks like a pulsating amulet of pure darkness attatched to a silver chain, and gives it to Malice. Malice smiles and puts it around her neck.

Boss: What was that?
Ozzy: I don't know...has Veil decided to give Malice the piece of Darkness Primal she wanted?

"My Way" begins, and Malevolence emerge from the HellGate and walk calmly to the ring. Morrigan flies forward and perches on a ringpost. Abel stays outside, and the others walk into the ring. The two teams square off, and it is decided that Dante and Malice shall begin the match.
Dante boots Malice in the face, then whips her into the corner. He levels her with a huge clothesline. He whips Malice into the opposite corner and runs in with a second devestating clothesline! On a roll, he goes for the same move again. This time, Malice jumps before she hits the turnbuckle, and flips over backwards, sailing over the head of Dante! Dante barely manages to stop himself crashing into the turnbuckle, but turns around into a high sweep-kick to the side of the head! The Dark Elf whips the Dark God into the ropes, tagging in Chapel. Dante comes back, leap frogs over Malice, and is caught in a spinebuster by Chapel! Chapel covers - 1..2..kickout! Chapel jumps up and lands with a legdrop, then picks up Dante. He goes for the Christian Burial, but Dante pushes him back into the corner. Dante starts pounding on Chapel's head, but Malice grabs his head and jumps off the ring apron. Dante's neck is froced sharply onto the ropes, and he is catapulted off into the centre of the ring! Chapel hops onto the second buckle, flies off with an elbowdrop...and misses! Dante rolls away in time. He gets back to his feet and powerslams Chapel onto the mat for a cover - 1..2..kickout! Dante shakes his head and tags in Phoenix, to a large roar of approval from the crowd.
Phoenix jumps up to the top rope and flies off with a flying clothesline! He covers Chapel - 1..2..shoulder up! Phoenix picks up Chapel and hits him with a facebuster. He pins again - 1..2..shoulder up! Phoenix pulls him up again...and Chapel executes a short powerbomb! He drapes a shoulder over Phoenix's chest - 1..2..shoulder up! Chapel gets to his feet and grips Phoenix's legs. He pulls them back, tagging in Malice as he does so, and locks on a boston crab. Phoenix grits his teeth and endures the pain as Chapel piles on the pressure onto the champion's lower back. Phoenix calls on all his strength and powers up onto his hands! He tries to reach for the ropes, but Malice has climbed the turnbuckle. She leaps up and drops a high, fast leg onto the back of Phoenix's neck! The Firebird's face is driven right into the canvas, to a large groan from the crowd. Malevolence haul up Phoenix, lift him up and bring him crashing down in a double brainbuster! Malice covers - 1..2..thr-shoulder up! Malice whips him over to her corner, and instructs Chapel to hold him their. She takes a good run up and leaps...but Phoenix falls to the floor, and sends Malice crashing into Chapel! Malice falls back, and Phoenix scoops her up, executing a running powerslam! Phoenix points up, and the crowd responds wildly! He climbs to the top rope and prepares to execute the Leap of Faith. But suddenly, Dante runs up and crotches him on the buckle! The crowd boos as Dante tries to execute the Rings of Hades on his partner right off the buckle, obviously hoping to injure Phoenix before the main event.
To the suprise of the crowd, Abel reaches up and pulls Dante off the top rope all the way down to the concrete floor! Phoenix stands back up on the ropes, wary of abel's sudden assistance. Abel makes no move to intercept Phoenix as he prepares the Leap of Faith - Chapel does instead, clipping Phoenix's ankle, and crotching him for the second time! Malice is now back on her feet, and Malevolence waste no time in executing the Malicious Intent! Malice covers - 1..2..3! Malevolence win the match, and become the new Tag Team Champions!
After the match, Malevolence walk triumphantly back to the locker rooms. Phoenix gets to his feet in the ring, and Dante gets to his feet outside of the ring. Phoenix points at Dante and yells. Dante shrugs and walks off.

Boss: Dante tried to get Phoenix injured there before their match later tonight. But it didn't work, and he lost them the Tag Team titles!
Ozzy: The night's still young. Dante still has plenty of time to take down Phoenix.
Boss: Well, there's been one title change tonight already. Malevolence are in the back. I undertsand that we've got special guest reporter Madilyn Hanson there to interview the new Tag Team Champions! Madilyn?

The scene changes to the locker rooms. Madilyn Hanson has just met up with Malevolence.
Hanson: Yeah, yeah, I've got it covered, jackass. So, Malevolence, congratulations and all that crap.
Chapel: What have we said all along? No one's been able to stop Malevolence - not the Werewolves, not the Snakes, not even the Champion or number 1 contender!
Hanson: Malice, about the meeting you had with Veil before the match. Would you like to..?
Malice: No. That business is between Malevolence and the Consortium, not you.
Hanson: Fine, sod you then!
Hanson storms off. Malevolence walk off to their locker rooms. As the scene fades, a figure can be seen walking away from around the corner. It is only seen briefly, a dark-skinned individual with pronounced fangs, wearing a white suit. But it is enough for longtime SWF fans to recognise him.

Boss: Unholy sh!t, did you see THAT?!
Ozzy: Was that...was that Assamite?
Boss: The Unconquered was destroyed by the Consortium well before the new SWF started up! What is their leader doing here now?!

Ozzy and Boss fade out, and the voices of Sarah Jihad and Alan Slocumbe fade in.

Jihad: It's already been an eventful night. First Dante tries to stab Phoenix in the back, Malevolence get the Tag Team titles, and now the apparent return of Assamite?
Slocumbe: I don't know what that means. What I do know is that we have another match coming up. The newcomer, Gal'Noren, is about to make his debut against Bench Man. We don't know much about Gal'Noren, other than he might be allied with Lycanthropy, and he and Malice apparently have some sort of history.
Jihad: Gal'Noren seems to be an old friend of Malice's, but she doesn't want anything to do with him. Let's see if he's as good a fighter as she is.

"Schnock" starts playing, and Bench Man starts lumbering down the aisle, inexplicably avoiding all the mines that were placed there for him to tread on. The crowd curses, and vows that next time...
Suddenly, Gal'Noren's little Griffin, Dosel'Ttil, leaps from out of nowhere and lands on benchy's head, clawing away at his eyes. Benchy yells out in alarm and starts running around the ring like a headless chicken, swatting at the little creature. The sight is really quite comical. Gal'Noren runs up into the ring. He pulls of Dosel'Ttil and reprimands it. The young creature huddles up in apology. Gal puts it aside and turns towards Benchy. To his exasperation, Benchy is still running around, apparently convinced that Dosel is still on his head. Gal shakes his head and lashes out with a kick to the head. Bench ygoes down like a ton of benches.
Gal rips off Benchy's coat, then hauls Benchy back onto his feet. Gal then falls into a fighting stance and starts thrashing Bench Man with a hundred lightning-fast attacks. Benchy is pummeled with numerous kicks, punches, elbows, knees, and palm thrusts to almost every part of his body. Each attack keeps him upright, or even off the ground. Finally, Gal ends his dance, and Benchy crumples into a broken, bloody heap. Gal prods him with his foot. No response. Dosel comes back into the ring and sniffs the body. No response. It decides that Benchy's warm corpse would be the perfect place to set up nest, much to gal's annoyance. Gal pulls it off and places it firmly in the corner. The little Griffin starts wailing, and Gal has to soothe it. Benchy has yet to move. Finally, Gal rembers the match and places a foot on benchy's chest - 1..2..3! Gal'Noren wins the match!
After the match, Gal picks up Dosel and walks off, apparently not pleased at the rather crummy match. Benchy is pried off the mat and, to the dismay of the crowd, is found to be still alive.

Slocumbe: Why do we keep Bench Man on the roster? His matches just get worse and worse!
Jihad: Well, there is one advantage. It guarantees that anyone making their debut gets a win on their record.
Slocumbe: Right...

In the back, Madilyn Hanson is standing with Gal'Noren. There's supposed to be an interview going on, but Dosel'Ttil has decided that it likes Hanson, and Gal is trying to entice it from Hanson's hair. Hanson, for his part, is banging his head against the wall in frustration.

Once again, Ozzy and Boss's voices fade in to continue commentary.

Boss: Coming up next, we have an unusual tag team match. Two members of the Soulless, OGK and Damien Morningstar, will be squaring off against their nemesis, Silence, and the leader of Serpentine, Chotek. Remember, if OGK and Damien win, Damien gets Chotek's Demonweight title, but if they lose, Silence gets OGK's Deathmatch title!
Ozzy: So, basically, Damien's about to win a title tonight! Should be great!

"Rose" starts playing, and Chotek walks out of the HellGate, accompanied by his stablemates, Sotek and Set. He proudly carries the Demonweight title over his shoulder as he gets into the ring.

Ozzy: It really creeps me out.
Boss: What does?
Ozzy: The way these guys have snake-bodies one minute, then legs the next!
Boss: It creeps me out that you haven't been torn apart by one of the people you've insulted over the years, but you don't hear me bitching about it!

"Rose" fades out, and a complete silence hits the arena as Silence walks down to the ring, chuckling to himself. He gets in the ring and looks at Serpentine, who look right back at him

Boss: This is something we haven't talked about. OGK and Damien are used to working together, while Chotek and Silence haven't even met before!
Ozzy: Which is why they haven't got a chance!

"Antichrist Superstar" starts up, and OGK and Damien Morningstar walk out of the HellGate, accompanied by the SWF President, Lucifer Morningstar. They both run right into the ring at Silence, who avoids and ducks out.

Ozzy: They're eager!
Boss: Why is the President here?
Ozzy: Probably to ensure that Serpentine don't intefere.
Boss: We'll see...

Chotek grabs OGK and throws him to the mat as he chases Silence. Chotek hits a quick elbowdrop and performs a roll up pin with his feet on the rope, and the other members of Serpentine grabbing hold! Ref counts 1..2..Lucifer yells at the ref and points to the Snakepeople. The ref orders them back, and forces Chotek to break up the pin. Chotek looks angry and shoves the ref. OGK takes the oppertunity to lock on the 187 onto the Demonweight Champion. Chotek flails wildly, and kicks back in a low blow. OGK is forced to release the hold. Chotek runs the ropes and goes for a flying clothesline, but OGK counters with a powerslam into a pin - 1..2..kickout! OGK pulls up Chotek and starts smashing his head into the turnbuckle. The other members of Serpentine try to storm the ring, but Lucifer casts a large prison of rock around them. It looks like Serpentine are removed from the match.
OGK tags in Damien, and they whip Chotek to the ropes. Silence grabs Chotek and delays his run back for a moment. OGK and Damien had intended to execute a double backdrop, and Silence's interference causes them to mis-time. They both lower their heads a half-second too early, allowing Chotek to hit them with a double DDT! Chotek rolls over to his corner and tags in Silence. Silence runs in and hits a flying elbowsmash into Damien's face. He goes to lock on a sharpshooter, but OGK pulls him off and down with a reverse faceslam. Damien grabs Silence by both the arm and leg, and locks on an arm-leg grapevine and digs his knee into Silence's spine. Silence yells out and reaches for the ropes, but they are much too far away. He tries to hit Damien, but can't twist his body into a suitable position.
OGK gets into the ring, and starts kicking Silence hard in the exposed and outstretched abdomen and stomach. Silence's breath rushes out of his body, and he starts coughing up blood. Chotek gets in the ring, but the ref cuts him off. Lucifer slides a chair into the ring. Damien releases Silence, and he and OGK execute a double chokeslam onto the chair! Silence looks totally unconcious. OGK kicks the chair out of the ring as Damien covers - 1..2..thre-foot on the ropes! Furious, Lucifer bats Silence's foot off the ropes, and Damien covers again, hooking the leg this time. 1..2..Chotek breaks the count! Damien roars in frustration and clotheslines Chotek out of the ring. He tags in OGK and jumps out of the ring, intending to teach the Demonweight Champion a lesson.
OGK runs in and drops a leg onto Silence's face. He covers - 1..2..thre-shoulder up! OGK hauls Silence up and throws him over the top rope to the outside. Silence lands hard, and his shoulders and head fall underneath the ring. When he withdraws them, the crowd gasps - he has pulled out a bottle of the alcohol that he stole from Lucifer's office and is drinking heavily! OGK is furious at what he reads as Silence mocking him. He runs outside and kicks the bottle away. Silence's face must be swelling up, because his cheeks are bloated. OGK doesn't care, he just throws Silnce into the ring. As OGK gets back in the ring, Silence pulls out a lighter. His face isn't swollen at all - it's full of alcohol! He spits it in a cloud into the Deathmatch Champion's face, holding up the lighter. The alcohol flares into a large fireball, right in the eyes of OGK! OGK is thrown back, clutching his face. Silence sweeps away OGK's legs and rolls him up, placing his feet on the ropes like Chotek did earlier. The referee counts - 1..2..3! Chotek and Silence win the match, and Silence becomes the new Deathmatch Champion!
Lucifer and Damien finally see what has just happened. Beyond furious, they run into the ring. Silence grabs the Deathmatch title belt and dives into the crowd to escape. Serpentine make their exit, and the Soulless return to the back in fury.

Ozzy: NO WAY!!!!
Boss: Silence pulls off an upset here. He and Chotek win the match, and he gets the Deathmatch Championship too!
Ozzy: What a rip-off! Is the referee blind too?
Boss: We've got Madilyn Hanson in the back ready to interview Silence. Madilyn?

In the back, Hanson is just staring at the camera blankly. Silence is not seen, probably because he's running from the very angry Soulless members. the screen fades out and returns to the ring and the DemonGate commentators.
