Since her debut in the ring, Stephanie McMahon's presence has been compelling. She has been such an incredibly strong woman -- and while it is the norm for strength to be in brawn, Stephanie's is in character. She was quite literally sent to hell and back. Kidnapped by the Undertaker, Stephanie was put through a horrendsouly terrifying trial -- only to be almost married to the Phenom. Fortunately, Stone Cold Steve Austin heroically came to her rescue.

Perhaps the most devastating aspect of her nightmare was the revelation that her brother, Shane and father, Vince Mcmahon, were behind it all. Nevertheless, Stephanie bounced back, not allowing the Undertaker--or her family--to ruin her life.

Next, we watched as Stephanie fell in love. The object of her affection was Test, the former Motley Crue bodyguard, much to her parent's and sibling's chagrin. The last person on earth Vince McMahon wanted his daughter to fraternize with was the "hired help." Complicating Stephanie and Test's romance was Shane's constant interference, even recruiting the Mean Street Posse to do his dirty work. Regardless of all the hoopla and hurtful confrontations with her brother and father, Stephanie defied all their attempted to control her life and stood by her convictions -- and her love.

Stephanie signifies a true woman of the 21st century -- strong in courage and character and willing to risk everything for her ideals. What a rarity in today's power-driven, money-hungry, competing world. Above all, though, Stephanie is a McMahon. But she has turned the negative traits the family seems to posses-manipulation and ruthless -- into assets. Having been betrayed by so many this past year, will Stephanie's resolve be able to survive any more anguish? What will she bring to the squared circle in 2000?
