Kid Ego was born Erik Tripp in Detroit
Michigan. Growing up he always participated in some sort of
sports, but never really excelled in any, despite showing incredible
athletic ability. He did take some scattered martial arts
training, and had a knack for throwing some of the hardest kicks
around, but seemed to lack discipline to truly excel in the Eastern
Arts. After graduating High School, Tripp was lost. He
floated around at local level tough man fights, tried his hand at
boxing, and went to work for a delivery service. On a delivery
to Las Vegas, Tripp noticed a sign for a local wrestling
school. He immediately took his weekly check, went to play
blackjack, and his gamble paid off as he won enough money to enter
the school.
The school
happened to be the now famous "Hell Hole" run by hardcore
legend, Wayne "Hellraiser" Harrison. Harrison at the
time was using some of his money from a very successful stay in the
W4, including a long run as the top draw in the company, and was
setting up some business opportunities. Harrison had only
trained one wrestler, Cheri Fields, but was accepting a new class of
trainees.
Ego was a
natural. Harrison was impressed with the kids toughness,
reckless style, and bravado. He immediately became the star
pupil of the school. Harrison decided to make his his personal
project and even started the kid off on his first over seas tour,
allowing him to take the Harrison name and wrestle in Japan as
"Mad" Anthony Harrison. The Harrison's were a hit in
Japan, but upon returning to the states, Tripp wanted a gimmick of
his own. The two turned down a deal with the W4, and Tripp
continued to train and compete in local shows.
Finally, in a
conversation with the brash kid who was saying that he would
"Kick His Teachers Old Ass," Harrison remarked "Hey
Kid, you've got an Ego bigger than mine. Tripp had an idea,
and began to dub himself "Kid Ego." Harrison was
impressed, and after signing with Big Sky Wrestling, decided to
bring in the Kid under his guidance to gain his first real national
exposure, and the two formed a tag team known as "The
Untouchables."

Strengths --
Very Quick and cunning. Willing to take chances. Tough and has
a nasty streak for a wrestler his size.
Flaws -- As his
name suggests, his EGO can get him into trouble. Tends to
underestimate opponents. Lacks in strength against most
bigger opponents. Takes too many chances at times.
Style -- High
