"Unsure? You mean, like she looked confused?" Jeff asked his father. "She knew what she wanted to do, she was just unsure if she could do it. It takes a lot to swallow your pride and apologize for leaving like she did." Jeff sat on his fathers kitchen counter, as Mr Hardy washed dishes from Lunch. "You think she loves me dad?" Jeff asked looking down, as if he were embarressed to ask the question. "Oh stop acting like a 14 year old girl Jeffery, Next you'll be picking daisys and sayin' she loves, me she loves me not..." Jeff looked disappointed in his dad's answer to his serious question. Mr Hardy put his hand on his younger sons shoulder, "Yes, boy, she loves you." Jeff smiled, and opened his mouth to say something, when the door swung open. "Dad, Why the hell is Jeff's car here?" Matt blurted out while walking into the house. he then continued, "Oh, you're here." He said. "Glad to see you to bro." Jeff said hopping off the counter. "Are you leaving?" Matt asked sternly. "Do you want me to?" Jeff asked. "Well, that's a given, of course I want you out of here." Matt declared stomping a foot, like a lion claiming his territory. "Well, fat chance then, I'm staying right here." It didn't matter how old they were, Jeff would always be, and act, like the little brother he was. "Boys, knock it off!" Mr Hardy said playing referee. "Grow the hell up already, life's to short to fight with each other." Mr Hardy yelled and walked out of the room. Jeff and Matt say silently. "How's your shoulder?" Jeff asked concerned. "Fine." Matt said. "Dude, she's out of both our lives, she left me there at the arena last week, alright? so, Let's just give it up, and not fight over this. I shouldn't have done what I done behind your back. I was wrong, real wrong. But give me a little credit, I told you the truth, we didn't hide it from ya. I lost her, you lost her, It be a mistake if we lost each other." Jeff pleaded sincerely. Jeff stared at Matt, as Matt just stared at the floor. "Let's umm.. Let's go out or something." Matt said. Jeff smiled, and jumped over and hugged his brother... "Oh get the hell off me." Matt said pushing him away. Mr Hardy stood in the hallway easdropping on his sons, grinning. "Your car or mine?" Jeff asked. "Mine, I hate your driving." Matt teased.
"I gotta go out tonight" Skyler thought. She knew Jeff was home for the next few days, and she knew she would have to call him if she were home also. She didnt want to have to call him, so she decided to go to a local club that night... get out and meet people, try not to think about Jeff. She slid into a pair of jeans that had rhine stones going up the side, and put on a black halter top. She combed out her hair, grabbed her car keys and left.
She walked inside the club and was automatically hit with loud music, and a cloud of smoke. "I need a drink" she thought. Skyler rarely went clubbing, she needed a drink to make her a little more comfortable.
She leaned against the bar drinking when she spotted Matt and Jeff walk in together! She almost choked. "ok Sky, just stay calm, exit quietly, and they will never know... Oh my God, Jeff looks good in the tight black tank. look at his arms, I'd do anything to have those arms wrapped around me... SKY! damnit, what are you doing??! just leave now, while you still can!" she thought to herself. Just then She made eye contact with matt. "Crap! you idiot now he saw you!!!" She repremanded herself. "Hey, look whos here." Matt leaned in and told jeff shouting over the music. Jeff looked pass the circle of girls that surrounded him and saw her. His heart almost melted. What he would do just to be next to her, and smell her hair, or touch her soft skin. "Man, maybe we should go then...." Jeff suggested. "No, stay, Cameron's a small town, it was bound to happen eventually." Matt commented. Matt and Jeff went over to a table and sat down. Skyler played with her drink with her back towards them still standing near the bar. The brothers spoke about wrestling, and Matt's return to the ring, and How Jeff had been handling the past few weeks by himself in the ring. "oh just go." Matt said. Jeff looked up at his brother. "What?" he asked. "Just go talk to her... You haven't stopped looking at her since we sat down, and that longing look in your eyes, is making me embarressed to sit with you." Matt said. Jeff just sat there and looked at his brother. "Jeff, does she love you?" He asked. "ummm...." was all Jeff could get out. "Well does she?" Matt asked. "I think so." Jeff said. "Well it's obvious you love her, and I don't want to be the person to stand between that, so Go." Matt said. "What about you Matt?" Jeff asked concerned. "Don't worry about me... our waitress was pretty hot." He said as he smiled. "Matt, why are you doing this?" Jeff questioned. "Do you have to analyze everything? Just do it." He demanded. "Thank you Matt, Thank you." Jeff said as he got up and walked over to Skyler. He got over to the bar and wrapped his arms around her waist, I don't believe I've ever seen you here, he whispered. She turned around and looked him in the eyes. She didn't know what to say, So she just threw her arms around his neck, and hugged him tightly. "I missed you Jeff." She said holding back tears. "I missed you too. Let's get out of here." He lead her by the hand outside. Once they got to the parking lot, he explained everything that Matt said. They stood in the parking lot talking and holding each other looking up at the stars. After awhile Matt came out, and walked over to them, Sklyer hugged Matt, and whispered "You are amazing, thank you." He smiled and said, "I had to tell him to go for it, if I stood in the way of what you guys have, not only would you two never forgive me, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself. Man, what you guys have, that's something special, and if either of you ever do something to screw it up... I'm gonna kill ya." He smiled, "goodnight." Matt walked away, and got into his car and drove away. "I love you" He whispered "I love you too Jeff."
