One Night
"Why now? Why would he tell me this right before the wedding?" Rachel cried to Shawn who was suppose to be the best man of her and Hunter's wedding. "Because he loves you more then anything and he wanted to be honest with you." Shawn tried to calm down his best friends fiance as much as he could. Trust was an important issue when it came to rachel and Hunter. For over a year she sat on her couch and watch her fiance walk down a ramp with Stephanie McMahon on his arm playing the role of his wife. rachel was the jealous type, just seeing him on television, playing husband and wife made her sick. She understood, that part of hunter's job was acting, but who wouldn't get a little upset at seeing your man in the ring, with thousands of screaming women around him, and a beautiful women attached to him. It felt wierd seeing him hold a microphone and noticing the wedding ring on his finger, or hearing him say, "My wife Stephanie." It just made her uncomfortable. She was the only women in hunters life, and no one ever knew of her. The wedding was to take place in four days. rachel thought it over a thousand times. Should she forgive him? Forgive him for what you ask? Well the night before Hunter and rachel had a life changing conversation.

THE NIGHT BEFORE
"All the secrets gotta come out now.... After Sunday, it'll be to late." exclaimed the road dogg jesse james. Rachel and Hunter decided that they would have few friends over for dinner, just to talk about pre wedding jitters, and other things. Among the friends, there was Jesse James, and his lovely wife, Steve Austin was there with Debra, Matt, and Jeff Hardy, and Edge and Christian. "ahhh the secrets..." Edge chuckled to himself, then Hunter passed him a dirty look as he shut up. "Moving right along...." Matt tried to get another conversation going. They all chatted for awhile and had a good time. It was almost midnight when everyone had left rachel, and Hunter with a lot of dishes to clean. rachel turned the sink on and began to clean the pile of dirty dishes that hunter was bringing in from the dining room. "So do you?" She asked. "Do I what?" Hunter asked. They spoke without making any eye contact. "Do you have any secrets?" she questioned with a smile trying to make light of the situation. She asked it seriously wanting to know. She figured that he must of had some secrets, most of the time he was on the road, with soooo many women, she would bet on it, that he had screwed up a few times. "Oh come on, your gonna ask me that now, you know I'd never do anything to hurt you." He said in all honesty. "Oh is that why you aren't telling me?" She questioned. Hunter threw his hands up in the air and walked out of the kitchen. She finished washing the dishes and followed to where he was in thier living room. He sat on the couch staring into the fire place. She cuddled up next to him. "Look, don't you pull out that 'Triple H I'm such a bad guy' attitude with me mister. You know I love you, and you know I Can't wait to be your wife.... I only asked because I really wanted to start off our marriage honestly. And if you messed up one or two times, Yeah, it's gonna hurt, but I'll understand, and I'll forgive you because I love you. ok baby?" She ran her fingers through his blonde pony tail. "Have you ever done anything and not told me about it?" He asked looking at her. She grinned bashfully. "Oh my god, you have? What?!" He asked scared to know the answer. "One time, about a year ago, Shane kissed me." She confessed, "But I moved away quickly and told him no. The only reason I never told you about it was because I didn't want you to get all hot tempered with him, and do something you'd regret." There was a long pause, "Now you tell me Hunter." She erged on. He looked at her, then turned is whole body so that he would be facing her, and took her tiny hands into his. "What is it Baby?" A question she would later regret asking. "I love you. I love you more then anything, more then anyone, more then wrestling, more then life, and Anything I have ever done in the past to hurt you, I regret so much. And If there is anything that I could do to take back this one time, I would because I know If I tell you this, It'll hurt so bad." Rachel was confused. "What is it?" she pulled away slowly. "Wrestlemania 16." he stated taking her back to that night.

AFTER THE PPV WRESTLEMANIA 16
"I was leaving, packed my stuff up, won my four way elimination match, I was tired, all I wanted was to go to my hotel room, and hit my head against a pillow and fall asleep. But then........." Hunter walked up the corridor to get to the parking lot where his rental was, when he heard pains of agony coming from one of the locker rooms. He sprung open a door, and saw Jeff Hardy trying to bandage up a hole in his elbow that he sustained from a bump he took during the course of his triangle ladder match. "What the hell happened to you!?" Hunter said noticing the wound. "I-I-I- umm..." Jeff said startled. "Spit it out." Hunter said sitting on a bench next to Jeff and taking the bandage from him. "When I did that swanton from the top of that ladder to buh buh I hit my elbow on the table, I crashed into it. Hurts like hell." He explained. "You're something else Jeff Hardy." Hunter said taping the bandage to Jeff's arm. "I gotta get out here. Where the hell are we Anahiem? You know where any bars, or clubs are in this city?" Hunter smiled, it wasn't to long ago that he was capable of going out infront of a crowd of thousands, fighting as if it were for his life, being completley torn apart, and then still wanting to go out and party. ahhh... he remembered the days of DX... the cool DX with Shawn Michaels the heartbreak kid. They would Go out there kick some ass, feel like shit and go out afterwards. Shawn's bad back, Hunter's bad knees, wouldnt keep either of them away from The women at the clubs they would go to. They girls were like groupies from the 70's. They'd do anything just because it was a thrill since it was with a wrestler. Jeff reminded Hunter a lot of Shawn. He didn't care what anyone else thought... He was young, and He'll probably have to retire before the age of 30 because of some crazy stunt. "Yeah i know of a club, Mind if I tag along?" Hunter asked. "Sure!" Jeff said suprised one of the main eventers wanted to hang out with him. They traveled about 15 minetes when they got to a club called Abyss. Hunter and Jeff went in. There were women all over, and all over them. Jeff danced for a while, as hunter hung out by the bar. Hunter saw Jeff's real personality which was a lot like good ol' HBK's. He acted so shy whenever he would walk passed Hunter, But there he was sucking up a ton of attention from a lot of ladies in the house. After Jeff was sweaty from dancing he joined Hunter by the bar, they got smashed that night, drank so much they couldn't see straight. Hunter yelled out at one point, "Drinks for everyone on me.... Tonight was wrestlemania!!!!" Jeff couldn't even walk. "Looks like I'm gonna carry your ass back to the hotel." Hunter said throwing Jeff over his shoulder and heading out. A lot of the wrestlers stayed at different hotels in the area, Hunter had no idea where Jeff was staying so he figured, he'd just check him into the hotel where he was at.
"There's absolutley no more rooms available?" Hunter questioned the clerk at the front desk. "I'm sorry sir, but this IS a 5 star hotel, so we're all booked. People make reservations months ahead, you can hardly expect us To have anything available. If you'd like I can arrange for someone to bring up a cot for your friend." "Yeah, Thanks." Hunter said annoyed that here he was carrying a guy he hardly even knew up to HIS hotel room, cause this shmuck couldn't handle his damn liquer. They got up to the room and Hunter layed Jeff on the bed. He pulled his shoes off and pulled a cover over him. He wasn't sure if it was true, or if it was just the alcohol thinking for him, but Jeff Hardy had the most beautiful lips he'd had ever seen. He sat there studying his face, he put one hand on the lines of unshavened hair and drew his fingers cross it and over his chin. He wondered what it would be like to taste those lips, he moved in closer, when Jeff opened his eyes, got up and ran into the bathroom. Hunter heard him throwing up. "Ohh god, umm you alright in there." Jeff opened the door slighly, holding his mouth and almost in tears. "I puked" He said shyly. "I see... you ok?" Hunter asked concerened, Jeff shook his head no, held his stomach and crawled onto the bed. Hunter sat down next to him and poored him a glass of water. He held it up to Jeff's mouth and helped him drink it. Jeff fell asleep soon after, and hunter fell asleep right next to him. They slept peacefully for about an hour when Hunter was awoken by Jeff's tossing and turning. "Hey hey, you ok? calm down, take a breath. it's ok... sshhh..." Hunters voice calmed jeff down. They looked at each other through the darkness of the room, and only did what came naturally.... Hunter pressed his lips against Jeff's. They kissed, slowly at first but then it got more ruff'. Hunter pulled jeff's pants off, and looked at his body in just boxers. Hunter kissed Jeff's stomach and worked his way down, "you ok?" Hunter whispered between kisses. "uh huh." Jeff said through deep breaths. Hunter pulled Jeff's boxers down and took him into his mouth. Sucking every inch of his dick harder and harder. He slid his hands under Jeff's balls squizzing them. He slid his tounge up and down The shaft of Jeff's dick, once and awhile nipping the head of it. sucking hard using his tounge a lot, "I'm gonna cum." Jeff whined through moans of pleasure. He Held onto Hunters head moving it in a motion that was right for him. Hunter went faster up and down Jeff's dick, until Jeff finally exploded into Hunter's mouth. Hunter swallowed every bit of his seed. They both panted heavily. Jeff knew he should return the favor, and he wanted to, he turned around slowly as hunter crawled up behind him."Go slow." Jeff whisperd scared of how much this may hurt. Hunter climbed off of him. "What's a matter?" Jeff questioned. "I don't want to hurt you." He said taking Jeff's hand and wrapping it around his dick. Jeff began to jerk Hunter off. Watching his face as he moved his hands up and down Hunter. He watched Hunter moan, and He felt him shake right before he came. And when He did, he turned towards Jeff letting his hot seed explode onto Jeffs dick they moved together slowly. They felt each others chest inhaling and exhaling. for minetes, niether of them could catch thier breath. And that's what happened. The next morning Jeff woke up in Hunter's room alone. As if it were all a dream. Hunter checked out. And they haven't spoken about it. For the next year, they were never on the same bus, or plane, never stayed in the same hotel, and once in awhile when they had to be together because of mutual friends, they didnt even look at each other.
...............................................................
"I just wish you would see that he only told you because he really does love you soo much.." Shawn tried to make Rachel understand. She was so confused, surely she thought he must have slipped up a few times, but never in her wild imagination did she think it would be something like this. "I love him to Shawn, but I hate him for doing this." She explained.
"I need to think about this before I decide what to do with him." "Well, think as fast as you can, we got a wedding in a few days.." Shawn chimed in......
...............................................................
"Hello?" Jeff answered his yellow cell phone waiting to hear who the voice on the other line would be.
"Hardy, it's Hunter." Jeff almost dropped the phone in disbelief. When Jeff was having dinner at thier house Hunter hadn't said two words to him.
"Surprise." Hunter said trying to make the silent awkwardness, less then what it was.
"Ahh yeah... that is a bit of a surprise. What can I do for ya?" Jeff asked politley.
"Rachel is mad at me. The whole wedding... it just doesn't look so
good." Hunter explained.
"And what does that have to do with me?" Jeff said trying to be stern with Hunter.
"Well," Hunter started, "I told her somethings she wasn't to happy about." There was more sileince, "I told her what happened last wrestlemania."
Hunter waited for Jeff to speak. But all he heard was a hang up. Why did Jeff just Hang up on him.... Could he still be mad for Hunter just leaving on him? Hunter wasn't sure why he called Jeff, He thought it was because he needed comfort and how would anyone else understand what he was going through besides the person who went through it with him.
...............................................................
Later that night at the arena there was a knock on Hunter's dressing room, "come in." he called as he wrapped a towel around his waste stepping out of the shower. He looked up and there was Jeff. "Sorry for hanging up on you earlier, I should have been there for ya. You're getting married, and If it's that bad I shouldn't have hung up on ya like that." Jeff said looking at the floor. "Hey, don't apologize, What were you suppose to say?" Hunter said. "Well, what can I do to help ya fix things with Rachel? Want me to talk to her? I'll tell her it was just a stupid thing we did cause we were drunk and that was it." Jeff said still not looking up at Hunter. Hunter walked over to Jeff, He lifted Jeff's chin up, so that he was looking him in the eye. "I wanna work things out with Rachel, I LOVE Rachel, but listen hear, I don't do stupid things. It wasn't stupid, don't call it that." He demanded. Jeff smiled, "ok, I just thought that....." Hunter cuts him off, "I don't care what you think Hardy Boy." Hunter said stepping into character. They both laughed it off.
...............................................................
The next few days where scary for Rachel, She would mope around her house crying. She didn't know what to do. In her mind she would curse Jeff Hardy, If she were to ever see him again, she would get sick. She thought about what would happen if she didn't marry Hunter, Her life wouldn't be as happy. She wanted to be with him so bad, How could she tell him that she didn't want to marry him? It would be a lie. Because she did want to be with him. She picked up the phone and decided to call him.
"Hello?" Hunter answered the phone. "Hunter its me." She said quietly. "Oh, you are finally ready to talk about this." "Yes, baby, I wanted to call you and tell you that I miss you. And that I love you, and that I think I'm ready to forgive you."
"Baby, really? I'm so happy, thank you. So, We're getting married tomorrow!" They were both happy. Hunter hoped that this would never come up again for the rest of thier lives.
...............................................................
Wedding day.
They stood there infront of thier friends and families. Hunter had performed infront of millions, but standing infront of his own family and friends, and binding his life forever with someone elses somehow made him a bit nervous. She had her hair tied up, and blew lightly in the summer breeze. They both always wanted an out door wedding. "I do..." She whispered. "Wow were we already up to that part?" Hunter thought to himself....
The priest continued to speak, When Hunter noticed a head of multi colored hair walk in. As soon as he saw Jeff the memories of that night rushed back into his brain as if he were watching it on a movie screen. He still tasted it, He still smelled it, everything from the night, was etched into his mind forever. He looked down at the pair of hands he was holding, how could he do this to her? Marry her, and have the thought of someone else on his mind. That was unfair, and so was this. "Do you Hunter take this women as your bride, to love and to cherish for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health, till death do you part, and as long as you both shall love?" "I-I-I- can't." He stated which was followed with a gasp from everyone there, Hunter Headed down the aisle and said to Jeff on the wayout, "You coming?" Jeff followed. Hunter got in his car and Jeff hoped into the passanger side. They kissed. "I want you, I've always wanted you, I was just to scared to say it outloud..." Hunter said between deep kisses and breaths. Jeff pushed Hunter back, "Why did you decide this?" Jeff asked needing to know. "Because, you forgave me for walking out on you over a year ago, she couldn't forgive me for doing what I did over a year ago. it put things in perspective. It made me relize that I love you." Jeff smiled, "I love you too."
