Top 10 moments of the year for A.C. Riddick

1. October 28, 2001 – Flatonia, TX – vs. Oz – ETW

A.C. Riddick wins the held up ETW Texas Heavyweight Title from former ECW star Oz.  This is the same title from the old TWA, so it had a little more meaning to A.C. Riddick, because he never got the chance to wrestle for the TWA (only a run in).  It was one of A.C. Riddick best matches to date.

2. April 14,2001 – Fredericksburg, TX – vs. Manny Montoya - TXW

2 reasons for this match.  1^st it was A.C. Riddick’s very 1^st win, 2^nd A.C. Riddick won the TXW Hardcore Title in a match that was fought all over the building.  Unfortunately, this is also the match of the infamous egg incident (don’t ask if you don’t know!).

3. October 13, 2001 - San Antonio, TX – ACW Hardcore Royal Rumble – ACW

A.C. Riddick out lasts 16 other participants to become the ACW Hardcore Title holder.  A.C. Riddick was the 1^st one in and the last one out.  ALSO, A.C. fought with a broken hand for the entire match.  A.C. also eliminated 8 wrestlers and dealt with a wanna be shooter enroot to winning.

4. June 23, 2001 – Taylor, TX – vs. Lance Steele – BGZ

This was the semi final to crown the BGZ Heavyweight Title holder.  A.C. Riddick may have lost to Lance Steele, but this was by far the best match of A.C.’s short career.  Many near falls and a lot of chain wrestling showed why Lance Steele (Shadow or Breakdown) is A.C. toughest opponent.

5. October 21, 2001 – San Antonio, TX – vs. Kid Soulja/Rob Summers – PWI

This was the 1^st tag team match of A.C. Riddick’s career.  Jeromy Sage would team with A.C. Riddick to form The Educated Nightmare.  Even though this was their 1^st time teaming up, they gelled together like a well-oiled machine and took the win.

6. April 28, 2001 – Eagle Pass, TX – vs. Jeromy Sage – PWI

This is a personal favorite of A.C. Riddick, as A.C. has a lot of respect for Jeromy Sage and found it a great honor to be in the ring with Sage.  This was technical match with a lot of high flying involved.  A.C. may have lost, but this is one of A.C.’s all time fav’s.

7. March 17, 2001 – San Antonio, TX – vs. Manny Montoya – TXW

A.C. Riddick fought Manny for the 1^st time in a hardcore match for the TXW Hardcore Title.  This match was brutal as both A.C. and Manny were thrown into thumbtacks and barbed wire.  Manny was able to get the victory with a splash through a table.  Both Manny and A.C. walked away with respect for one another.

8. January 13, 2001 – Arlington, TX – vs. Shadow – PCW

This is the 1^st time that A.C. Riddick and Shadow (Lance Steele or Breakdown) ever faced off.  This match showed the beginning of a feud that has gone on all over Texas.  These 2 wrestlers would meet again in various different promotions, each time their matches would be bigger and better.  This match showed the intensity that is still in each of their matches today.

9. February 3, 2001 – Arlington, TX – vs. Bonecrusher – PCW

A.C. Riddick requested this match.  Again, like Jeromy Sage, Bonecrusher is another wrestler A.C. has the utmost respect for.  This match was intense and A.C. is not at all ashamed to have lost to B.C. Hopefully Bonecrusher will comeback to wrestling, so A.C. Riddick can have another match with him.

10. November 10, 2001 – San Antonio, TX – vs. Rudy Boy Gonzales/Masada – Red Cross Benefit

A.C. Riddick enjoys this match on many levels.  1^st and foremost this was for the Red Cross Relief fund, due to the tragic events that happened on 9-11-2001.A.C. and numerous other wrestlers wrestled 2 and 3 times for this worthy cause.  2^nd, A.C. and Jeromy Sage re-teamed to form The Educated Nightmare.  3^rd, this was the 1^st time A.C. stepped in the ring with one of his trainers, Rudy Boy Gonzales.  This match showed what some wrestlers can do when they are having fun.
