OPENING MATCH: STEVE WRIGHT vs. JOE MALENKO

-Both competitors square off in a friendly display of the European mat style. They shake hands to begin the match and then go about trading holds and counter holds. Wright takes home the victory after bridging out of a bridging fireman’s carry takeover and countering with a backslide. Both men shake hands after the match and Malenko asks for a rematch. Wright says he will grant a return match any time that Malenko feels ready.

RESULT: WRIGHT BY PINFALL AT 16:25 WITH A BACKSLIDE

SECOND MATCH: HANDICAP MATCH-KING KONG BUNDY vs. ART CREWS & KENNY JAY

-Bundy makes quick work of his two preliminary opponents in this contest. Jay and Crew tried their best to double team Bundy at the opening bell, but had little success against the awesome Bundy. Bundy walked through their kicks and punches and pinned both wrestlers with a big splash after piling them up on top of each other. As usual, Bundy demanded that the referee count to five. After the match, Leo Burke hit the ring and dared Bundy to pick on someone his own size. Bundy attempted to attack Burke, but was caught with a belly to belly suplex in an incredible show of power by Burke. The stunned Bundy recovered, rolled out of the ring and exchanged words with Burke.

RESULT: BUNDY BY DOUBLE PINFALL AT 6:02

THIRD MATCH: RAYMOND ROUGEAU vs. “EXOTIC” ADRIAN STREET

-This contest was an excellent mix of high flying, mat wrestling and even brawling. For the first 15 minutes of the bout, the match went back and forth with both men having the upper hand at times. Rougeaus hit the top rope sit down splash on Street and looks to have a victory, but as he went for the cover he noticed the Valiants in the entrance way with the Canadian flag. Rougeau left the ring and chased after the Valiants, but it was a set up as Akio Sato attacked Raymond from behind and then The Valiants joined in on the beating. After being awarded the victory, Street made it four on one and the group left Raymond laying in a heap at the entranceway. Jacques Rougeau was not in attendance at this show.

RESULT: ADRIAN STREET BY COUNT OUT AT 17:27

INTERMISSION

FOURTH MATCH: BLACKJACK MULLIGAN & TERRY TAYLOR vs. BOBBY DUNCUM & BARRY ORTON

-Duncum and Orton came to the ring and Duncum took the mic and said that he hadn’t got enough of Ric Flair and Blackjack Mulligan and that they had been ripped off in their last meeting because he and Barry had not been prepared for a singles match. Duncum assures the crowd that they are ready for a tag team match tonight and want some action. Mulligan comes out and informs the crowd that Flair is in L.A. this week, but that Ric had suggested a tag team partner for him to team with. Terry Taylor comes out and he and Mulligan charge the ring. All four men brawl at the beginning of the match before it finally settles into a traditional tag team affair. With Taylor and Mulligan in charge at the 20 minute mark, a brawl broke out between all four men. Mulligan and Orton battled all the way to the back as Taylor and Duncum fought in the ring. As the referee was trying to control Mulligan and Orton, Duncum took the liberty of pulling a chain from his boot. Duncum took a wild swing at Taylor, who ducked and attempted a belly to back suplex on Duncum. As Taylor went for this move, he was clocked by Duncum with the chain. Taylor was knocked cold and covered by Duncum who got a tainted pin fall victory for his team.

RESULT: DUNCUM & ORTON BY PINFALL AT 20:18, DUNCUM PINNED TAYLOR

FIFTH MATCH: MIL MASCARAS vs. ED WISKOWSKI

-The high flying Mascaras delighted the Canadian crowd in the early going of this rare north of the boarder appearance. The Mexican superstar kept Wiskowski off guard for much of the match with his unique lucha libre style, but the crafty Wiskowski eventually started carrying out his game plan of working on Mascaras’ legs in an attempt to ground the high flier. Mascaras looked to have things well at hand after a flurry of offense, but halted his onslaught when the Sheik made his way to ringside. This momentary distraction allowed Wiskowski to clip Mascaras from behind and take back over the match. Wiskowski worked over the leg relentlessly and gained the victory with a spinning toehold when Mascaras could finally stand no more.

RESULT: ED WISKOWSKI BY SUBMISSION AT 19:49 WITH A SPINNING TOEHOLD

MAIN EVENT: THE SHEIK vs. ANDRE THE GIANT

-Much like their Buffalo encounter, this match was out of control as soon as it got under way. Andre backed the Sheik into the corner only to have the ref attempt to break up the two combatants. Andre obliged, but the Sheik kept as close to the ropes as he could. Andre went after the Sheik again and the Sheik went to the ropes again. The referee stepped in for a second time, but this time Andre lifted the ref, carried him to the opposite corner and then sat him up on the turnbuckle. Andre patted the referee on the head and told him to be good and sit back and count to three when the time comes. This allowed the Sheik to attack Andre from behind and go on the offensive. The two men brawled relentlessly around the ringside area ignoring the referee’s count forcing the match to end in a double count out. As the two men brawled in the entranceway, Ed Wiskowski joined the fray when he attacked Andre. The Sheik and Wiskowski beat on Andre until Mascaras hobbled out to even the odds. All four men brawled to the back and the show ended.

RESULT: DOUBLE COUNT OUT AT 7:05
