Match 2

-=Television Title Match=-
Xander Kross vrs. Billy Dee

“Just like you” by Three Days Grace hits over the PA as Xander Kross steps out to a mixed reaction from the fans. He raises his arms in the air and shouts for all to hear “NEW TV CHAMP!”

TD: Well this young man has a great opportunity to win the TV title tonight.

KK: Yeah in his first match. Whatever happened to people earning matches the hard way?

Kross steps into the ring and does a few last minute stretches as “Velvet Revolver” by Slither hits over the PA as Billy Dee slowly steps out of the curtain to loud cheers. He walks down to the ring, head held high as he rolls into the ring and stares at his opponent.

TD: This match is a preview of what could be TNT’s future. Billy Dee who’s undefeated and Xander Kross, one of the most impressive looking superstars in TNT.

KK: Tim, this isn’t a beauty contest.

Dee raises his arms to the fans. While this is happening, Kross charges at Dee and tries to give him a high knee into the corner. Dee however sees this coming and ducks out of the way. Kross connects knee first with the turnbuckle. Billy starts clubbing the back of Kross with forearms before setting him in the corner and giving him sharp chops to the chest.

TD: Billy Dee is starting off fast!

KK: He’ll tire himself out and Xander Kross will take advantage, no sweat.

Dee doesn’t seem to be tired as he picks Kross up and sets him on the top turnbuckle. Dee steps back a few steps then runs, jumps up to the second rope and connects with a springboard dropkick that sends Kross to the outside. r Kross bounces off the ground and grimaces in pain as Dee stands in the ring and plays to the crowd before he runs the ropes and jumps over the ropes with a suicide plancha.

TD: Great move!

KK: No, wait Kross caught him!

Kross catches a flying Dee and holds him still for a few moments before delivering a fall away slam to the concrete.

TD: Oh on the concrete, everything hurts!

KK: I told ya Xander would come back. He could win the title after that one move.

TD: Don’t be so sure.

Kross rolls Dee into the ring and follows, picking Dee up and delivering a backbreaker. Kross covers Dee:

1…

2…

Dee barely gets the shoulder up.

TD: You won’t put Billy Dee away this early.

KK: You can if you bounce him off the concrete a couple more times.

Kross seems frustrated as he picks up Dee and throws him into the corner. Kross charges and gets caught with a huge boot to the face. As he stumbles backwards, Dee runs forwards and hits a spinning heel kick to Kross. Dee goes for the pin:

1…

2…

KK: Kross gets the shoulder up. It’s going to take more than that Billy!

TD: He can’t hear you Kraig. You are right though; it will take more to keep Xander Kross down.

KK: Think about it Tim. A Canadian with the last name “Dee” can’t represent us on TV.

Dee picks Kross up and gives him a sharp uppercut. Kross stumbles back against the ropes. Dee again runs towards Kross and Xander uses his strength to pick up a charging Dee and slam him throat first into the top rope. Dee hits the mat hard, clutching his throat while Kross sneers at him before running and landing a legdrop onto the neck of Dee to further weaken him. Kross covers:

2…

Dee manages to get his shoulder up. Xander Kross continues his wrath on the throat of Dee by choking him while still on the ground. The referee yells at Kross to stop.

TD: Well, you won’t win too many friends with that blatant choke.

KK: But it will win you the TV title and if you hold that, who needs friends?

TD: I’m sure you say that often Kraig.

Kross picks up Dee and throws him into the ropes and executes what at first looks like a tilt a whirl backbreaker but adds another spin so Dee’s throat lands across Kross’s knee instead of his back. The crowd shivers at seeing that move and Dee falls to the mat holding his throat and neck in extreme pain. Kross brags to the crowd about that move before going for another pin:

1…

2…

And somehow Billy Dee raises his shoulder. The crowd is cheering him on.

TD: Billy Dee is showing some real guts!

KK:  And he’ll soon be seeing his guts if Xander Kross gets his way.

Kross decides that’s it and grabs Billy Dee and puts his head in between his legs and sets him up for a powerbomb. He tries picking Dee up once, Dee blocks. He tries again, another block by Billy Dee. Finally Dee uses his leg strength to pick Kross up and slam him back down, Dee landing in a sitting position. Dee rolls away, both men are down hurting.

TD: Billy Dee has completely turned this match around! He could win this!

KK: But he won’t… so there.

The referee starts a 10 count. At the 4 mark, both men start to move. At the 7 mark Kross is halfway up and Billy Dee’s just reaching the ropes, at the 9 mark Kross’s fully up and the count breaks. Dee is still at the middle rope.

KK: Now is your chance, get him Kross!

Kross grabs at Billy Dee but Dee pushes him away and begins connecting with right hands to Kross’s face. Billy Dee runs towards the ropes and ducks a Kross clothesline and catches him with a reverse DDT. Kross gets back up and is caught with a hip toss by Dee. Kross gets up and charges again, this time getting caught with a back body drop. As soon as Kross gets up again, Billy Dee is all over him, hitting him with elbows to the head. Dee Irish whips Kross into the ropes and ducks his head.  Kross catches him and puts him in a DDT position. Dee manages to power up with punches to the ribs and follows up with a northern lights suplex pin:

Xander Kross powers out. Dee lands some stomps on the top of Kross’s head and then picks him up in a suplex position He delivers a snap suplex and rolls through. He then gives him a nice DDT and goes for the pin:

Kross kicks out again.

TD: Kross has had some close calls during this match!

KK: This just shows Kross wants it more!

TD: I think Billy Dee’s showing that he wants to retain just as badly!

KK: No, he’s just frustrating Xander!

Dee whips Kross into the corner and charges hitting Kross with a spear. He lifts Kross up on the top turnbuckle. He climbs up and tries to deliver a huricanrana. Kross blocks and throws Dee off from his seated position. Dee charges back and Kross nails him with a boot to the face. Kross hops down and grabs Dee in a bearhug. He then launches Dee into the air and hits a beautiful overhead belly to belly suplex so that Dee lands back first into the turnbuckle and then it ends with Dee landing on the top of his head.

TD: OH MY GOD! I think Billy Dee’s back is broken!

KK: A great move by Xander Kross and it’s bye-bye TV title for Billy Dee!

TD: You actually may be right Kraig!

Kross stops for a breather before turning Dee around and pinning him:

Somehow, someway Billy Dee gets his foot on the bottom rope and Kross can’t believe it Kross rips Dee’s foot off the rope and pulls him to the center of the ring and tries another pin:

Once again Billy Dee manages to find some leftover strength and raises the shoulder. Xander Kross decides it’s over. Kross grabs Dee and puts his head in between his legs and hooks his arms.

TD: He’s going for the Bottom Dollar!

KK: And it’s over.

Kross tries to lift Dee but Dee fights it. Dee gets an arm loose and twists out. He pulls Kross towards him and executes a side effect.

TD: Dee’s still fighting.

KK: Gold will do that to you. Now Kross must pummel him some more.

Both men slowly get up. Kross gets up first. He charges Dee and swings hard with a lariat but Dee ducks and hits a beautiful German suplex, bridging into a pin:

Kross manages to escape. Dee doesn’t wait for him to get up as he’s all over his with chops. He pushes him back into the nearest corner and whips him to the opposite corner. Dee charges Kross and nails him right between the eyes with a flying forearm. Kross stumbles out of the corner and Dee sits on the top rope, grabbing Kross’s head in a DDT position.

TD: He’s going for the Dee-Stabilizer

Dee swings out of the corner but Kross keeps swinging, dropping Dee down with an inverted atomic drop. Dee bends over in pain and Kross grabs him, hitting the Bottom Dollar.

TD: Bottom Dollar!

KK: It’s over.

Kross pins Dee:

1…

2…

3!

“Just like you” starts to play and the referee hands Xander Kross the TV title.

KK: You can’t say he didn’t earn that.

TD: I never said he didn’t

KK: You were thinking it.

TD: You’re a strange little man, we’ll be back.
