Lifetime Achievement Award: I had decided who was going to get this year's award last year, and then I changed my mind. But, I thought about it again, carefully, and I came to the conclusion that this person deserves it. I know he's not as involved as he used to be, by his own admission, and I know he's not as big a wrestling fan as he once was, but this is a lifetime award, and his body of work in the TWF shows he deserves it. He's a member who hasn't always been a favorite of everyone, and even I didn't particularly care for him at times, but he won my respect and he won me as a friend, forever. This guy was as interested in the TWF at one time as anyone has ever been. I remember when I would be asking him about what happened in the TWF, things I didn't always remember myself. He was the first member to ever pick up the phone and call me on a regular basis, to talk wrestling, or just to talk life. He asked for my advice on several occassions, and I was glad to give it to him. I really feel 2009 was his year in general, and I hope this award solidifies that. Alex Maider, you are this year's Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Congratulations, my friend.
