COVER STORY On March 4, 2004, the TWF made it's biggest acquisition to date, purchasing Madmen of Wrestling, a fed I long considered the best on the internet, for 16.5 million dollars. For the last 4 days, everyone has been talking about what will become of this company, and what the TWF wants with it. Well, a decision has been made and here is what will happen.
- We will be taking one of their many divisions, Slaugherhouse, and turning it into TWF Slaughterhouse. In effect, this will create a 3rd division or brand for the TWF, something no major company has ever done. - We will be doing away with the mFw and going back to having just one developmental territory, SMW. The Slaugherhouse roster will be compiled of some mFw superstars and some of M.O.W.'s old superstars. This new show will be cutting edge, stuff you won't see on RAW and PrimeTime. - The current plan is to run at least 2 shows per month, but maybe more. Quarterly pay-per-views are planned but for the 4 major pay-per-views (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, MeltDown and Deadly Games) Slaughterhouse may be involved. - We anticipate this move to put the TWF ahead of any and all other companies on the internet and prove once again that nobody does this like we do. So look forward to TWF Slaughterhouse....... coming soon! A couple weeks ago, a new superstar showed up on PrimeTime, his name, Rick Perfect. Little is known about this superstar but many fans have written, wanting to know more. Earlier this week, he sat down with Idalis to shed some light on that very question..... who is Rick Perfect? Idalis: "Hello, welcome to the Superstar Corner. This week, we have new superstar Rick Perfect. We dont know a lot about you Rick, can you tell us a little about yourself"?
Rick Perfect: "Yes, I sure can. I was born and raised in the south. Just like now defunct presidential candidate John Edwards, my dad worked in the mill and my mom tried to support us in any way she could. My parents both taught me the virtue of hard work, which I keep to this day. Nothing but hard work got me to where I am sitting before you today and nothing will keep me from getting to the top of TWF".
Idalis: "We learned earlier via primetime that you had quite a military career. What did it entail"?
Perfect: "Yes I did. I entered the navy because they would pay for my college tuition and as a kid, I had always been really into ships. I just liked the way they gracefully sped through the water. Once I completed Basic Training, I was assigned to the USS Graceland. There I served under Captain Paxton Briggs, who first started getting me interested in wrestling. Me and some of the boys along with Pax would always watch various wrestling tapes, cause Pax was a collector. In due time, I decided that I wanted to be like them. Pax helped me train and I went on to become a three time wrestling champion in the Navy on board the Graceland. Lucky for me, I never actually had to fight a battle, but I would have if I had to, since I had a job to defend my country. After I served my required amount of years, I wasnt quite sure what to do. I was torn between having a career in the military, or going to college and getting a degree. After a brief talk with my father, I decided to go to college, mainly because that was the one thing he always regretted not doing. I also told him about my career as a wrestler in the Navy, which he said he would be fine with if thats what I wanted to do, and if I went to college before hand and got a degree, so I had something to fall back on. So I attended Rutgers University, and at the end of the four years, I successfully got my degree, and then via a friend I found out about the TWF. I was given a tryout match, and impressed you guys. So here I am right now, just living out my dream".
Idalis: "Very true, you did impress us. What is your relationship with Chris Tirpak"?
Perfect: "We're good old friends, thats all. Nothing else needed to explain".
Idalis: "Alright, what do you plan on accomplishing during your span here"?
Perfect: "I plan on getting myself to the top. Not exactly sure what titles I intend to go after, I just want one to show I am one of the best in TWF. Hopefully it happens soon".
Idalis: "Well thats all for now, no more questions here I thank you for your time Rick".
Perfect: "You're welcome and remember to watch for me on Primetime".
TURNING BACK THE TWF CLOCK Justin Sane: "The match I wanna see came from WrestleMania three, Sabu and my boy Nails in a Falls Count Anywhere brawl". Nails vs. Sabu This match turned into a showstealer and was possibly the best on the card. The fans were on their feet as these two beat the hell out of one another. Sabu's quickness gave him an early advantage as he caught Nails with a flying headscissor takedown and a dropkick that knocked him out of the ring. But Sabu bounced off one set of ring ropes and came flying at Nails with a suicide dive as the crowd went nuts. But as they struggled to their feet, Nails headbutted him with his hockey mask and then bodyslammed him on the steel ramp. Nails went for a suplex on the ramp but Sabu blocked it and hit Nails with a suplex of his own. He then used a backflip onto Nails to get a 1....2.., but Nails kicked out. Nails then got a knee into the midsection and threw Sabu into the fans! Sabu landed hard on some of the floor level seats as Nails entered the sea of fans and smashed a chair over his head. Nails then rammed Sabu into one of the stage level loudspeakers. Nails set Sabu up for a piledriver but Sabu countered with a backdrop onto the concrete area of the floor. Sabu found a table and set it up for the moment of the night. Sabu laid Nails on the table and went up one level into section 2 of the stands. He then took a flying leap and backflipped in mid air but Nails rolled off the table. Sabu crashed through it as the crowd chanted "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT"!. Sabu wasn't the same as Nails got him back to the ring and after whipping him into the ring steps, Nails grabbed a fire poker which was in the bag he came to the ring with. He held it and and blasted Sabu with it between the eyes! Nails then set Sabu on the top turnbuckle and pulled off one of his old favorites, the top rope powerbomb as Sabu crashed into the mat. Nails hooked the leg and got the 1.....2.....3. Match Time: 10:17 J.R.:"Oh my god! In twenty five plus years in this business, I have never seen anything like Sabu just did"! Lawler:"And it cost him J.R.! Nails might be King of the street fight"! J.R.:"He's definitely in his domain in this type of match King but there's no doubt, this one will go down in WrestleMania history"!
