On Friday night, February 23, Jordan Rockwell appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show to talk WrestleMania 8. Below is a recap of his appearance:
the show returns from break and nicholas Cage who was the previous guest is seated on stage.
Jimmy Kimmel: "My next guest is one of the top wrestlers in the TWF, please welcome Jordan Rockwell!
Rockwell makes his way out in his street clothes with his hair down to loud cheering from the audience and shakes hands with both Kimmel and Cage.
Kimmel: Thank you for being here tonight".
Jordan Rockwell: "My pleasure".
Kimmel: "So, I hear you met Nicholas Cage, the star of Ghost Rider earlier today".
Rockwell: "Yeah we met backstage and I was looking forward to coming tonight cause I was telling him backstage that I am a big fan of his work".
Kimmel: "What was the last film of his you saw"?
Rockwell: "Well I just got the chance to see Ghost Rider the other day and iIhave pretty much seen about all of his films but I think one of my favorites was the one you did with Jon Voight".
Nicolas Cage: "That would be National Treasure".
Kimmel: "Could you see yourself acting"?
Rockwell: "Honestly no, and no offense to actors, but I'm a wrestler and that is my passion so for me that's who I am and who I will be until I retire".
Kimmel: "Now speaking of which, you guys have your big event coming up in New Orleans".
Rockwell: "Yes we do, WrestleMania eight which in everyone's opinion will be bigger than last year's show".
Kimmel: "I know that the TWF has raised some money for the relief fund".
Rockwell: "Yeah the TWF has raised one point five million dollars to this point.
The audience applauds
Which reminds me, like I told Nick earlier, I want to extend an offer for you to come to WrestleMania this year so just let me know how many tickets you need and I'll hook you up".
Kimmel: "Why thank you".
Cage: "It should be great seeing the TWF live".
Rockwell: "Maybe you and I could be tag team partners".
Cage: "Absolutely".
Kimmel: "And I could be your manager".
Rockwell: "Well we'd want to win".
The audience laughs.
Kimmel: "So you are doing good in your career"?
Rockwell: "Yeah I have been lucky enough to be injury free now".
Kimmel: "You have been in the middle of some great rivalries in the past, do you have a favorite"?
Rockwell: "Well I would have to say my rivalry I had with Drew Blood cause that fued made our careers since we set the bar way too high for a lot of the guys that came after us and also I had the chance to face off with guys I idolized like Ric Flair, The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin".
Kimmel: "Now one thing i noticed is that the wrestling fans have stuck by you no matter what".
Rockwell: "Yeah which is a real blessing cause I was told a long time ago that you can't b.s the people and if you can capture them then you will be successfull and for me I think it is because I have grown up in front of them so they know me and that's what they see is who I am. And also because in the end I am a fan just like they are so for me they are as much part of my success as I, or anyone else is".
The audience applauds.
Kimmel: "And he is also a humble and down to earth person because we offered to send a limo to pick you up but you actually drove yourself".
Rockwell: "Yeah I am not big on that whole part of the business, I figure if I can drive then I am going to do it myself".
Kimmel: "This from a guy who drove onto the lot in an expensive Mercedes".
Rockwell laughs
Rockwell: "Hey I never said I didn't enjoy the benefits of taking Vince McMahon's money".
Kimmel laughs.
Kimmel: "Now getting back to WrestleMania, how important was and is the location this year"?
Rockwell: "Oh it's very important, we have all seen what's gone on in New Orleans and in some of the other areas down there so if we can do something to show we care and everyone does and take their minds off things for a few hours then it's worth it".
Kimmel: "And I understand the company will be holding Fan Axxess this year"?
Rockwell: "Yes, there will be information listed on TWF.com on everything but the fans will be able to come out and meet us and get pictures and autographs plus a variety of other activities".
Kimmel: "Plus the celebrities come out in full force every year for WrestleMania".
Rockwell: "Yeah the list of celebrites that want to be at WrestleMania seemingly grows every year".
Kimmel: "Well Nick and I will be there this year".
Cage: "Absolutley".
Kimmel: "Well I want to thank my guest Jordan Rockwell and I look forward to seeing you at WrestleMania".
Rockwell: "Sounds good, Jimmy".
The show goes to a commercial as Rockwell shakes hands with Kimmel and begins talking to both he and Cage........
