January 31, 2011

1. TWF Champion: Jason Oliver - He got over the hump of being a transitional champion against Axl Irvin, and then defended the belt again when it truly counted... Closing out a feud with Matt Cruz. We don't know how long he'll be on top, but for now that's exactly where he is. [#2 - Up 1 Spot]

2. Sebastian Cain - The 2011 King of the Ring overcame incredible odds, including Sheamus and Kevin Thorn, on his way to earning the crown he now wears. In due time, we can only imagine that this crown will lead to a World Title shot. Until then, he remains one slot below the TWF Champion. [#4 - Up 2 Spots]

3. Universal Champion: Joe Corey - Although he didn't end up wrestling John Cena at Doomsday, Corey remains Universal Champion. The fact he didn't wrestle does hurt, though, and that's why Corey isn't sitting pretty at the top of the TWF... Just at the top of Primetime. [#7 - Up 4 Spots]

4. The Empire - This spot goes to both Travis Wakeman and Money Mike. The two men of unlimited power have made their presence felt more than anyone else in this company over the past few months, and we see no end to such a thing. [Previously Unranked]

5. Unified Tag Team Champions: The BoogeySaints - They may be the most hated team in the TWF, but they've also been the most dominant in a long time. After defeating the TWF Tag Team Champions, Chaos Wolf and Mark Henry, they have now successfully unified the belts. Can anyone stop them? [#6 - Up 1 Spot]

6. Jordan Rockwell - Any time you can light someone on fire, you'll get respect from this committee. Rockwell did just that as he got rid of Carney, making his goal of eliminating The Empire a little more manageable. He still has a long way to go, but this is a great start. [Previously Unranked]

7. Rob Van Dam - He has been on top of the mountain before, two times as the Universal Champion, once as the ECW World Champion, and he even won the 2003 Royal Rumble. To close out 2010, though, he won the Battle to End 2010, and that may be the next best thing. One can only imagine that he'll have some kind of reward after withstanding such incredible opposition. [Previously Unranked]

8. Edge - He lost the Battle to end 2010 by just one competitor and managed to defeat Intercontinental Champion Evan Bourne in a matter of seconds. His drop from his previous ranking is simply a result of other's success, so don't worry about his spot as one of the elite. [#5 - Drops 3 spots]

9. John Cena - The "Champ" was the Number One Contender to the Universal Title before being brutally attacked. We are unsure of who performed the attack, at the moment, but if anyone knows anything about John Cena, it's that he doesn't let things like this go. Soon enough, the attacker will be revealed and he may have hell to pay. [Previously Unranked]

10. The Requiem - Kevin Thorn was a Drew McIntyre save away from becoming the 2011 King of the Ring, so we can't do anything but give him props for that. If anyone can rebound from this loss, it's Thorn. The rest of The Requiem may have hell to pay with their leader, though. [#11 - Up 1 Spot]

11. Evan Bourne - He may be one of the smallest guys on the roster, but he's also the reigning TWF Intercontinental Champion. Oh, and did we mention that he has a Match of the Year candidate every time he wrestles? [Previously Unranked]

12. Matt Morgan - He defeated Jordan Rockwell at Main Event and has done nothing to tell us he won't honor his #1 ranking on the Magnificent Eleven of 2011. We have high expectations for The Blueprint. [Previously Unranked]

13. TWF Lightheavyweight Champion: Silver Wolf - The mysterious Silver Wolf has been making a huge impact on the TWF as of late. After defeating Gregory Helms in a Non-Title Match at Main Event, Wolf has shown no reason to doubt his future success. [Previously Unranked]

14. Richard Ramsley - Ramsley suffered a brutal beating, and in turn was last seen in a hospital bed. With that being said, his drop isn't a sign of what we expect from him. His words with CM Punk seem promising for both of their futures, so we'll keep a close eye on the psycho known as Ramsley. [#12 - Down 2 Spots]

15. Matt Cruz - The former World Champion suffered a tough loss in what was probably the best match of 2011 so far in the early year. We have no doubts he'll turn things around. [Previously Unranked]

16. Sheamus - After an incredibly impressive victory over John Morrison, winning in just over two minutes, Sheamus came up short against eventual winner Sebastian Cain. Sheamus has shown great promise for the future, and we can only imagine that he will use this loss as motivation. [Previously Unranked]

17. Dolph Ziggler - Ziggler had an incredible impressive victory over Kofi Kingston in the First Round of the King of the Ring. On top of that, he went through JJ Ramplin to get into the tournament in the first place. Unfortunately, he ran into Kevin Thorn in the Semi-Finals. [Previously Unranked]

18. John Morrison - He was able to qualify for the King of the Ring tournament, but that's about as far as he got. Sheamus absolutely destroyed him, but we fully expect Morrison to recover from this. [#15 - Down 3 spots]

19. TWF King of Cable: Chris Tirpak - He finally did it. Tirpak finally got back into the positive conversations by winning the King of Cable Title at Doomsday! Let's see if he can keep this up. [Previously Unranked]

20. Justin Gabriel - After winning the TLC Match at Doomsday, Justin Gabriel has skyrocketed himself from newcomer to very relevant. He has a future title shot in the briefcase he will keep by his side, and has seemingly found common ground with newcomer Cayden Cole. Whenever he cashes in on that title shot, we can't expect him to lose after the effort he put forth at Doomsday. [Previously Unranked]

21. Chaos Wolf - He makes no gain and no loss after beating Boogeyman 1 on 1, but losing his Unification Match at Doomsday. Wolf has made excellent strides, nevertheless, and it will be exciting to see where he goes from here. [#21 - No Change]

22. Drew McIntyre - He gains in ranking because of one simple thing: he may be the reason Sebastian Cain is the 2011 King of the Ring. We will all have our eyes on this budding story, but if we've learned anything about Drew McIntyre it's that he can never be trusted. [#24 - Up 2 Spots]

23. Gregory Helms - Although he lost in a Non-Title Match against Silver Wolf at Main Event, Helms picked up a win over former World Champion Damion West. Mark Henry played a big role in this result, but a win is a win. [Previously Unranked]

24. Carney - He got lit on fire in the Inferno Match, but we can't discredit his incredible effort. If he ever overcomes the physical, and mental, scars from Doomsday, he has proven that he is back as a force to be reckoned with. [#23 - Down 1 Spot]

25. Kayla Karter - She made her impact felt on Main Event, picking up a win over the Women's Champion, Gina Carano, in a Non-Title bout. If she keeps this up, she'll have the belt around her waist in no time. [Previously Unranked]

On the Bubble

JJ Ramplin - The man who once had endless potential has suddenly found himself on the wrong end of every decision he's been involved in. We here at the committee hope he gets the World Title shot he deserves, but he'll need to win before he gets that shot.

CM Punk - Does this really need any explanation? He's the X-Factor of every show he performs on.

Axl Irvin - After losing to Jason Oliver in a TWF World Title Match, he kept his misfortunes up by losing his King of Cable Title to Chris Tirpak. If he doesn't turn things around, his bubble may burst.

Troy Gafgen - He came up short in the First Round of the King of the Ring Tournament, but the fact that he qualified is definitely noteworthy.

New Superstar Package - Justin Gabriel has gotten his recognition, but Vance Archer and Tyler Reks have also made some waves on Primetime. Two successful victories can't get them into the Power 25, though, after failing to win the TLC Match.

Cayden Cole - After a very promising start, Cole suffered a minor set back at Doomsday. He and Justin Gabriel have seemingly found a mutual respect, though, which may be a good sign after the conflict he's had with the New Superstar Package in recent weeks.

Chris Masters - If you wrestle in a #1 Contender Match for the Universal Title, we have to put you somewhere on this list. Unfortunately, Masters couldn't defeat John Cena.

Caleb Weber - One of the newcomers who has made a big splash on Primetime, Caleb Weber started off by defeating Shane Thompson and taking him out of the TWF. He proceeded to fail in qualifying for the King of the Ring Tournament, though, which can only be viewed as a setback.
