Scott Hudson: "Hello again everyone and welcome to another night here of TWF action! We are live on the TWF Network from the Wells Fargo Arena at Arizona State University and Matt, we've got a lot to get to tonight"!
Matt Striker: "Do we ever. The TWF is back and the reception for this great company has been terrific, Scott! Tonight, the process to crown new TWF champions will begin as we have the start of two awesome tournaments and a ridiculous battle royal that will help determine a new World champ"!
INSIDE THE RING, FAMILIAR WRESTLERS TRENT BERETTA AND ROCKY ROMERO ARE SHOWN GETTING LOOSE. JUST THEN, "THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK" THEME PLAYS AND CARNEY AND CRIS HENNING STEP OUT FROM THE BACK. THEY RECEIVE A MIXED REACTION.
Hudson: "We are ready for our first match in the TWF tag team title tournament and though Cris Henning and Carney are representing perhaps the strongest group in TWF history but do not overlook this team of Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero".
Striker: "You are not kidding my friend, collectively known as Roppongi Vice, this is one of the most legit tag teams out there today. They don't currently have a TWF contract, but they will if they win this tournament".
TWF Tag Team Title Tournament- 1st Round: Cris Henning and Carney vs. Roppongi Vice When the bell sounded, there was a very clear and distinct speed advantage for the team of Beretta and Romero. They used this to their advantage and it shook the confidence of The Empire. After a dropkick by Romero on Henning, Romero used a flying armdrag before tagging in Beretta. Roppongi Vice then dropped Henning with a double dropkick and the crowd was on fire for the team that has found major success in Japan. Henning became a punching bag of sorts as Beretta hit a huge succession of moves on him. As he moved on a cowering Henning in the corner, Henning stuck a finger in his eye. Carney then tagged in and slowed the pace of the match with several short punches on Beretta. After a big suplex, he threw Beretta face-first into the top turnbuckle. Henning wanted back in the match and Carney slapped his hand. Henning drove several boots into the side of Beretta before shooting him into the far corner. He charged in with a shoulder but Beretta moved out of the way and went and tagged in Romero, who ran across the ring and drilled Carney with a forearm, knocking him to the floor. Henning stumbled to his feet and was met with a crazy double superkick. Romero made the cover, 1.......2........, but Henning managed to get a shoulder off the mat. Romero pulled Henning off the mat and hoisted him up to the top turnbuckle. He tagged Beretta who went to the other corner and Roppongi Vice was setting up some sort of double team move. Just then, Carney came into the ring and took Beretta out with a wheel kick. Henning was able to get off the top rope and after a stiff forearm to the back of Romero's head, he threw him through the ropes and to the floor. As the referee led Carney out of the ring, Henning pulled Beretta into a nasty DDT before covering him for the 3 count. Hudson: "Oh wow...... Henning and Carney found a way to pull this thing out"! Striker: "The referee used his discretion there, he certainly coukd have disqualified The Empire when Carney entered the ring but he let it go and like you said, they found a way". THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK THEME PLAYED AGAIN AS HENNING AND CARNEY CELEBRATED THEIR WIN, BADMOUTHING THEIR OPPONENTS AS THEY WALKED TOWARD THE BACK. Hudson: "The Empire advances to the next round of this tournament and we'll have more on that and the rest of the matchups later in the broadcast". "Hall of Fame" by The Script rings out around the arena as the announcer gives the crowd yet another name they know, one of the superstars of old that made the TWF soar.
Justin Roberts (Ring Announcer): "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, hailing from Paris, France, a former TWF Universal Champion, DYLAN JANSENS!
The veteran TWF fans in the crowd came unglued, cheering Dylan's name, only to immediately fall silent. This is not the man they remember. Gone was the long hair and clean-cut face, gone was the jacket with Ashley across the back, gone was the thrill-seeker.
In a button-down white shirt, glasses and formal slacks, Dylan carried himself with a threatening swagger but otherwise looked like a businessman from head to toe. He raised a hand, as if to silence the crowd, but a fly buzzing in the nosebleeds could have been heard.
"Now I have your attention," began Dylan. "This is a new TWF. It needs new blood. The original Dylan Jansens would get stomped here, consigned to the history books as a crusty relic. This is a new age. This is the INFORMATION AGE!
Jansens drew a heavy book under his arm. Flipping through it, he showed it was covered page to page with an elegant, cursive script.
"THIS IS INFORMATION", exclaimed Jansens.
A curious murmur ran through the crowd.
"And information can be bought, traded, exchanged, or even given if the conditions are right. This book, ladies and gentlemen, contains the secrets of every superstar in TWF and the world. Imagine Jordan Rockwell, the terrifying Rockwell, ooooh, I shiver just to think of him, is bearing down on you? You know Extreme Measures is about to crush you. What do you do? This book can tell you.
How fast should you rotate to reverse the Cross Rhodes? What's the best pressure point to reverse the Glam Slam? It's all in here. Striker: "Glam Slam? She's not here, is she"?
Superstars, divas, tag teams, I've studied all of you. I know your every move, your tells, your warm-up routines, your cheers, your taunts, when you need to rest, what weapons you favor. I've broken down all of you. IT'S ALL IN HERE!
Holding the book up high, Dylan continued. "And any of you can get what you need. Face. Heel. I don't care. My door is open to all of you. COME FIND ME!" "HALL OF FAME" PLAYED AGAIN AS JANSENS LEFT THE RING. THE CAMERA PICKED UP THE FACES OF MANY CONFUSED FANS IN THE STANDS. Hudson: "Well that was..... interesting". Striker: "It's not the Dylan Jansens of yesteryear, Scott and I gotta say, I like it". Hudson: "We'll see if any of the superstars in the back take him up on his offer. I kind of have a hard time believing that he has any relevant information in this little book of his". BACKSTAGE..... IN THE BACK, M.X. OGDEN IS SHOWN CHATTING WITH MATT AND NICK JACKSON, COLLECTIVELY KNOWN AS THE YOUNG BUCKS WHEN JENN STERGER WALKS UP. Jenn Sterger: "Excuse me guys, can I get a moment"? THE BUCKS SLAP HANDS WITH OGDEN BEFORE WALKING AWAY. Sterger: "M.X., I just wanted to talk to you about tonight's number one contender's battle royal. I was just informed that you actually turned down a spot to compete in it"? M.X. Ogden: "I did and please, don't act so surprised. I said it on the last show, I am not here to compete. I love this business and I love to come by and see my friends as it's tough to catch up sometimes, but this company doesn't owe me anything". Sterger: "So you don't want to talk to anyone and see if something can be worked out"? Ogden: "Do you want to talk to Brett Favre again? Probably not. STERGER HAS A SURPRISED LOOK ON HER FACE. I said it last week, I am not interested in competing in the TWF. I have had a wealth of success over in Japan, winning titles and making enough money to live comfortably for the rest of my life. In fact, I just saw Jamaica for the first time. I'm loving life. Most importantly, I have the respect of those in the industry that I was never afforded here. Any other questions"? OGDEN STARES AT STERGER BEFORE WALKING OFF. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "MUSE" BY HYSTERIA HITS AND P.J. CASH COMES OUT FROM THE BACK. Striker: "Jenn Sterger pushin' buttons in the back, Scott. She better be careful". Hudson: "Moving on here to our next match, we just talked about how much different Dylan Jansens is from the last time the TWF was around but this man, P.J. Cash, has a noticeably different demeanor than he once did". Striker: "On two separate occasions, I've tried to get a word with P.J. Cash on the backstage area and he's very short with his answers. I'm not sure what he's keeping in but it's pretty evident that he's bottling something up". P.J. Cash vs. Adrian Hawkins (invitee) Hawkins attacked Cash before the bell rang and the flamboyant wrestler hammered Cash with some hard forearms to the back before whipping him to the ropes and delivering a heavy clothesline. He then pulled Cash to his feet and rocked him with a right hand. He then hit the ropes and went for another clothesline but Cash ducked and ran the ropes himself, driving a high knee into Hawkins' head that the fans popped loudly for. It looked for a moment like Hawkins was unconscious but Cash picked him up and he dropped to one knee. Cash hit the ropes and delivered a nasty kneelift to the face that dropped Hawkings again and Cash covered him, hooking the leg for the 3 count. "HYSTERIA" PLAYED AGAIN AS CASH's HAND WAS RAISED AND HE JUST STARED DOWN AT HIS FALLEN OPPONENT. Striker: "Quick and easy victory for P.J. Cash and anyone who is familiar with local independent wrestling down here in Arizona knows that Adrian Hawkins is no slouch". Hudson: "It looks as though he is going to speak the the folks in Tempe here". P.J Cash: "I'm not much for old cliches but damn it's true when they say you don't know what ya got till it's gone. You have no idea how much I missed this place.
The crowd in attendance cheers and applauds in agreement.
At the same time, however, the TWF closing its doors years ago was the best damn thing to ever happen to me. Because despite what they would have you believe on T.V, when this company closed up shop, I walked out of the arena that night with nothing.
I was no longer self made millionaire P.J Cash, I was just a former pro wrestler who got lucky with the stock market. At the end of the day, the only thing more empty than my bank account was the broken shell of a man that I had become. All of the money, all the women, the limousine rides and the private jets. That all meant nothing to me. Because the one thing I wanted more than anything in this world was to be a champion here in the TWF. And for years I tried to buy my way to success. Every loss and every setback ate away at me inside and I would go home each night and look at myself in the mirror. To tell you the truth, I hated the person staring back at me. I had all kinds of offers on the table. New Japan Pro, All Japan Pro, Pro Wrestling NOAH. The list goes on and on. I could've gone overseas like all the other guys but I didn't do it. You know why? Because I couldn't look at a wrestling ring without getting sick to my stomach. This sport was the one thing in my life that I could call my own and I was an utter failure. I knew there was no going back at that point, and I gave it all up.
The camera zooms in on Cash and the emotion in his eyes is clearly visible.
So that night I used my last thirty bucks at a bus terminal and took a Greyhound down to Johnson City, Tennessee. And I learned one thing. When you're poor, your family doesn't call you and your friends don't know you anymore. I started doing the kinds of things I never thought I would. I volunteered to help the less fortunate. Served food at soup kitchens. I worked construction and landscaping. My hands calloused and bled because I worked my fingers to the bone. In the blink of an eye, I was everything that I had looked down on for years. I changed my life. And for the first time in years, I felt alive. I wouldn't have it any other way because I may not be living large anymore, but I'm living right! But then I heard the news. I heard rumors of a TWF return and a light shined down on me as if it were divine intervention. The TWF relaunch could not have come at a better time because I am stronger, smarter, and faster than I've ever been. I've learned how it feels to truly build something from the ground up with my own two hands. In the past I blamed others for my failures. Now I know I was the only one standing in my way. I'm gonna tear through the TWF like a hurricane and take what I want, what I crave. And when I get to the top of the mountain and grab that brass ring, Jim Cornette, Travis Wakeman, Vince McMahon or God himself is gonna have to pry it from my cold, dead hands"!
Cash spikes the microphone to the mat and leaves the ring to a mix of loud cheers and mild boos. Some don't seem to believe that the former Primetime Prodigy has truly turned over a new leaf. JHudson: "Another unexpected turn from a longtime TWF superstar here, Matt". Striker: "It's hard to believe that he blew through all of that money but he seemed very, very genuine there, Scott". Hudson: "Despite all of that money, Cash apparently never reached his personal goals in the TWF. Will he be able to do that this time around"? BACKSTAGE.... IN THE BACK, GUNDAM JR. IS SHOWN GETTING LOOSE WHEN LOW-KI APPROACHES HIM. HE LOOKS HIM UP AND DOWN. GUndam Jr.: "Can I help you"? Low-Ki: "You remind me of your dad. You look just like him. He may not have told you that he and I have a long history together". Gundam Jr.: "Oh no, he told me. He also told me exactly how I'd be able to beat you tonight". Low-Ki (laughs): "You really want to be just like him? You might want to rethink that one, Junior. If not, you'll be the same failure that he was". LOW-KI WALKS AWAY AND GUNDAM ISN'T IMPRESSED BY HIS COMMENTS. "THOUGHTLESS" BY EVANESCENCE PLAYS AND FORMER TWF WOMEN's CHAMPION, MONICA, COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. AT HER SIDE IS EDDIE SAINT JAMES. Hudson: "One of the most popular female competitors in TWF history has returned and will take part in the Women's title tournament! Here comes Monica"! Striker: "Along with her of course is Eddie Saint James who many fans will remember from one of the most successful tag teams in TWF history, The BoogeySaints". IN THE RING IS FAMILIAR ENGLISH WRESTLER SARAYA KNIGHT. Hudson: "Saraya Knight will provide the opposition in this first-round matchup, a woman who has won twelve titles during her great career". Striker: "In addition to advancing in this tournament, Saraya Knight could also be competing for a TWF contract in this match. A win over Monica could not go overlooked". TWF Women's Title Tournament-First Round Monica w/ Eddie Saint James vs. Saraya Knight Mutual respect was shown by the two women as they shook hands to start the match. After a quick lockup, the veteran Knight used an arm drag to get Monica off her feet and she controlled the match from there. After fighting to get back to her feet, Monica was able to kick Knight in the gut and then hit a Slingblade after hitting the ropes. Monica was on the attack for the next several minutes but Knight showed resiliency, catching Monica with a knee to the midsection before backing her into a corner and smashing her with some knifedge chops to the chest. "Sweet" Saraya then lifted Monica up onto the top ring rope and pulled her to the mat with a nasty rope-hung DDT. It appeared to be over, but when Knight went for the cover, she only got a 2 count. Knight went up to the top rope and waited for Monica to get up. She jumped off but Monica stepped back and kick her right in the stomach. With Knight bent over, Monica ran the ropes and then did a flip right into a bulldog. Knight tried to get to her feet but she was unaware of where Monica was in the ring and was blasted with the superkick known as "The Awakening". Monica covered Saraya and hooked the leg for the victory. "THOUGHTLESS" PLAYED AGAIN. Hudson: "A truly impressive win for Monica, who now advances in this tournament". Striker: "We've yet to reveal all of the names for this tournament, Scott but even without doing so, it seems pretty clear that Monica looks like her old self and is going to be difficult for anyone to defeat in this thing". The scene comes alive backstage a few doors down from Jim Cornette's office. We see Troy Gafgen pacing around angrily. He notices the camera and snarls.
Troy Gafgen: "Everyone was so pleased when Jim Cornette was announced as the commissioner of TWF. Everyone believed that he would be a saving grace to this professional wrestling company. To me, it's all just the same bullshit. It's all just a farce to pull the wool over the true fans eyes because we all know that nothing has really changed.
Troy takes a moment to compose himself.
Cornette claims he has the keys to the kingdom, and yet he apparently still answers to an "anonymous new owner". So, it doesn't take rocket science to prove that he's just a puppet in this game. I bet Money Mike and Travis Wakeman are still running amok behind the scenes. That being said, I'm getting a bit off topic. I'm still furious beyond belief. Jim announced that there would be a process to crown the TWF World Champion. That was the only thing I agreed on. As he was announcing names he failed to mention the man who will single-handedly change this business...me! Now, I know that things process slow in the old southern brain of his but you can't seriously believe that I'm going to take a back seat in this rebirthing process for the TWF
Troy looks to continue his rant but stops himself. He looks confused...then snaps himself out of it.
Oh! Then the worst crime of them all was when Sebastian Cain just strolled into Cornette's office and asked if his contract was still on the table...which of course it was. It's just another reason why old habits die hard. This is the same old bullshit that was going on back when the TWF was actually relevant...and if they think I'm going to kiss ass to get what is rightfully mine...well then everyone has another thing coming. I pray that when I step in between those ropes, whoever is facing me has life insurance; because I'm going to inflict so much pain on them that they'll be sucking their meals through a straw.
Troy runs a hand through his hair as he takes a few steps towards Cornette's office.
I guess I'm going to have to show Jimmy why I'm the best wrestler this company has to offer. I mean, if he has any sense he'll put his stock into Troy Gafgen. I am unfiltered and unapologetic. What you see is what you get from me. I'm not going to go to media day, or promote some bullshit sponsor; all I can promise is that when you put me into that ring people will be entertained. 2017 is going to be the year of Troy Gafgen in the TWF...and all of you better recognize it...or you'll just become another victim.
Troy smirks as he walks towards Jim Cornette's office and the shot fades out.
BACK INSIDE THE RING, THE TEAM OF MATT SYDAL AND RICOCHET IS SHOWN AND THE CROWD IS CHEERING IN SUPPORT OF THEM. "WAR OF NERVES" COMES ON AND THE YOUNG BUCKS POP OUT FROM THE BACK TO A HUGE CHEER, EASILY THE BIGGEST TO THIS POINT IN THE EVENING. Hudson: "We are ready for more action in our tag team title tournament and here come the Young Bucks"! Striker: "Some people call them spot monkeys, but I prefer to call them supremely talented. This is one of the best teams in the world today". Hudson: "And they are one of the favorites in this tournament but let's not look past their opponents here. Successful in their own right as singles wrestlers, Matt Sydal and Ricochet have formed quite the impressive tag team". Striker: "Unlike the Bucks, Sydal and Ricochet have not been offered TWF contracts but that could soon change. These two have won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team championship on two occasions". TWF Tag Team Title Tournament-First Round The Young Bucks vs. Matt Sydal and Ricochet The matchup between the Young Bucks and the pairing of Ricochet and Matt Sydal would definitely be one for the books, with both teams attempting to put each other away as quickly as possible. We fast forward into the match up...... where we see the Young Bucks have had enough of Ricochet and Sydal and begin to leave the match. Ricochet and Sydal would shake their heads and take off after but it turned out to be a trick as both men would meet superkicks and the Young Bucks would high tail it back to the ring, insisting the ref start the count.
1.....2.....3....4....5...6...7...8....9.... Ricochet would make it back into the ring as Nick Jackson cartwheeled into the middle ropes and turned around into a tornado DDT to Sydal. Meanwhile, Ricochet would be on the receiving end of a Boston Crab by Matt Jackson, but Ricochet would get to the ropes. Matt Jackson would walk Ricochet back out but Ricochet would not let go and Nick Jackson would fly in with a 450 splash across Ricochet's back. With Sydal still reeling, The Young Bucks pointed at the corner post. Matt Jackson set Ricochet up and nailed a beautiful corner powerbomb as Nick Jackson connected with an enzuguri! The Bucks then call for the Meltzer Driver. Matt Jackson was ready to deliver the Tombstone and Nick Jackson springboarded up but Sydal would make it to the apron at the same time and out of nowhere he hit a springboard dropkick of his own. Ricochet would fall backwards and lift Matt Jackson to his shoulders and hit the Detonation kick! With momentum shifting back into Ricochet and Sydal's favor, The Young Bucks would try to regroup outside. But as they did, Sydal and Ricochet, with a full head of steam, launched themselves over the top rope, crashing down on The Young Bucks. Sydal would drag Nick Jackson back into the ring and the two would exchange punches. Matt Jackson would make it back to the apron before being sent back down when Sydal slid through his legs and swiped Jackson's legs right out from under him. Ricochet goes for the pin, but only got a two count. Ricochet whipped Nick Jackson into the ropes and Sydal hit a Manhattan drop. The referee was slowly losing control of the match. Both men looked down at Jackson and while Sydal would land a standing moonsault and Ricochet a standing shooting star press it wouldn't be enough as Jackson again kicked out at the last second. Fast forwarding further into the match as both teams were extremely tired and wondering what it's going to take to win. The Young Bucks would start a superkick party as The they would take turns superkicking each of their opponents. Matt Jackson would pick Sydal up for a firemens carry into a rolling Samoan drop towards their corner followed by Nick Jackson's 450 and ending with Matt Jackson's moonsault. Matt goes for the cover, 1...2... No! Sydal Kicks out! Ricochet got back into the ring but received a dropkick to the knee and a superkick to the face for his effort. Sydal stumbled to his feet but he was scooped up by Matt as Nick went to the top rope and the brother combination was able to hit the Meltzer Driver to get the 1......2......3. Hudson: "Wow what a match"! Striker: "You're not kidding, Scott. If that's a sample of what it's going to take to become TWF tag team champions, we're in for an excellent tournament"! Hudson: "The Bucks got all they wanted from Sydal and Ricochet who may have left an impression on TWF officials here". THE TWO TEAMS SEEM TO EXCHANGE SOME MUTUAL RESPECT AS "WAR OF NERVES" PLAYS AGAIN. AFTER A SHORT BREAK FROM THE ACTION WHILE A TWF NETWORK AD RUNS FOR THE VIEWERS AT HOME, GUNDAM JR's MUSIC PLAYS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD RESPONSE. LOW-KI IS ALREADY IN THE RING. Hudson: "Earlier tonight, Low-Ki ran into Gundam Jr. in the backstage area and spoke about Kid Gundam, a man Low-Ki has faced before. Matt, does that give him any kind of advantage in this match"? Striker: "I mean, it could, but don't think that Gundam Jr. is just some wet-behind-the-ears rookie, he has been trained well by his father who of course, is a TWF Hall of Famer. This kid has legitimate mat skills to go with some crazy aerial offense". Hudson: "Well a win over a veteran such as Low-Ki, who has had success all over the world, would be a tremendous feather in his cap". Gundam Jr. vs. Low-Ki
This match would take off quickly and show both men's technical side as Low-Ki would use a lock transition into a side headlock. Gundam Jr. would back into the ropes and push Low-Ki off and he would rebound and take down Gundam with a shoulder block. Low-Ki takes off for the ropes and Gundam would lay down while Low-Ki hopped over. Gundam then leapfrogged on the rebound into a backwards roll while Low-Ki would hop over and back into the ropes. Gundam then took off after him. Low-Ki redirected back off the ropes and confused, Gundam turns back around only to get caught in a head scissors but he would cartwheel out. Gundam takes off for the ropes but would take not one, but two arm drags. On the second one, Gundam would shoot for Low-Ki's back and push him into the ropes trying for the roll up. But Low-Ki would hold on and after Gundam hit the mat, Low-Ki jumped off the middle rope with a springboard back elbow. Unfortunately for him, Gundam caught him in mid air and nailed a German suplex. Smiling at the crowd, Gundam kipped up and waited for Low-Ki to get to a knee. When he did, Gundam crashed into him with a stiff shining wizard before pulling him up and delivering a hanging brainbuster which led to the three count. Hudson: "He got him! What a big win for Gundam Jr."! Striker: "You know his father is somewhere smiling about that one. Low-Ki is not an easy guy to get outta there and Gundam just outworked him right there! Great stuff.... GUNDAM JR.'s MUSIC PLAYED AND HE WAVED TO THE CROWD, SHOWING APPRECIATION FOR THEIR APPLAUSE. A TWF NETWORK PROMO IS SHOWN FOR THE "TWF RESURRECTION" PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT. BACKSTAGE..... THE SHOT SHIFTS TO THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHERE THE GOLD STANDARD IS WALKING DOWN A HALLWAY. FLANKED BY GINA CARANO AND SYLVESTER TERKAY, TAYLOR MADE IS CHECKING OUT SOME OF THE TALENT. Taylor Made: "Not him.... not them... definitely not them, are you kidding me? TAYLOR SEES A COUPLE OF FEMALE STAGEHANDS AND GIVES CARANO A SMIRK. Don't worry, I have all the woman I need already. JUST THEN, THE GROUP COMES UPON THE YOUNG BUCKS, WHO JUST FINISHED UP THEIR MATCH. Well, well, well, look what we have here. Why, it's the best tag team in the world. Isn't that what you've heard, Sly"? TERKAY NODS BUT DOESN'T SAY A WORD. THE YOUNG BUCKS START LAUGHING. Matt Jackson: "Seriously, what is this about? Who are you"? Nick Jackson (looking at Terkay): "Yeah and what about you big chief, who the hell are you"? TERKAY TAKES A STEP TOWARD THE BUCKS BUT TAYLOR PUTS A HAND OUT TO STOP HIM. Taylor: "Don't waste your time with these guys, Sly. So what I'd like.... Nick Jackson: "We already know where this is going, but what makes you think we'd want any part of this"? Taylor (chuckles): "Oh yeah, you guys just know it all, don't ya? Is that why you sell merch looking to get three dollars per T-shirt so you can afford to dress like teenagers? Is that why you call yourselves the Young Bucks, but aren't you guys in your thirties? This act.... it's tired. But, if you'd like to roll with a winning group, one that includes a self-made millionaire such as myself, that could be arranged. You just need to grow up and realize that this business isn't about pleasing people. It's about making money. THE GROUP STARTS TO WALK AWAY BUT TAYLOR TURNS BACK. Oh, and get a haircut". THE BUCKS LOOK AT EACH OTHER JUST SHAKING THEIR HEADS WHILE MATT GRABS A LOCK OF HIS LONG HAIR. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE WE ARE READY FOR MORE ACTION. Austin Pyromania vs. Ryan McQueen (invitee) Ryan McQueen, a trainer at the Reno Wrestle Factory, provided the opposition for Austin Pyromania, but had his struggles. Pyromania came out with a quick attack, smashing McQueen with some stiff forearms and a nasty spinebuster off an irish whip. He pulled McQueen to his feet and hit the ropes but McQueen responded with a nice dropkick. Seeing an opportunity, he went up to the top rope and jumped off but Pyromania was able to kick him right in the gut before grabbing his head with two hands and flinging him backwards, head-first into the mat. Pyromania then got down on the mat and locked in a rear-naked chokehold on McQueen. McQueen could feel himself going out and had to quickly tap to end the match. Hudson: "Two shows in a row Austin Pyromania has come out and shown a brand new side of himself. This guy looks to be in tip-top shape, Matt". Striker: "There is no debating that. Toward the end of the TWF the last time around, Austin Pyromania was all but a forgotten soul. He's making sure that won't be the case this time". Hudson: "Wait a minute... check this out". JOE COREY WAS SHOWN COMING TO THE RING WEARING A NICE SUIT AND CARRYING A MICROPHONE. HE GETS INTO THE RING AND PYROMANIA SEEMS SURPRISED TO SEE HIM. COREY BEGINS CLAPPING. Joe Corey: "Wow, well done. It's almost like I don't recognize you. Except I do. You're still the same guy, you've just done something with yourself since the TWF closed, something I'd like to tap into. I have been looking high and low for a client that can build off of my past success and with the right change in attitude, I feel like that could be you. Of course, if you want to be the same average guy getting the same mediocre results that you did last time around, by all means, continue on this path. But.... if you don't...... COREY EXTENDS HIS HAND TO PYROMANIA. PYROMANIA LOOKS AROUND INTO THE CROWD WHICH STARTS A CHANT OF "NO, NO, NO". AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF STARING INTO COREY's EYES, PYROMANIA WALKS PAST HIM AND EXITS THE RING. COREY JUST GRINS AND SHAKES HIS HEAD. Hudson: "Well I guess he has his answer". Striker: "I don't agree with that decision in any way, shape or form. Joe Corey is one of the most decorated superstars in TWF history and Pyromania apparently thinks he's too good to join him. Psshhh". Hudson: "It appears that the search for a new client is going to continue for The Show". FANS IN ATTENDANCE TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO THE VIDEO WALL IN THE ARENA AND VIEWERS ON THE TWF NETWORK ARE SHOWN THE SAME VIDEO PACKAGE. IT STARTS BY SHOWING VINCE McMAHON HOLDING UP THE TWF TITLE AFTER WINNING A 20-MAN BATTLE ROYAL IN NOVEMBER 1999. "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN, THE UNDERTAKER, TRAVIS WAKEMAN AND VAL VENIS ARE ALL SHOWN FOLLOWING THEIR TITLE-WINNING MOMENTS. THE VIDEO THEN SHOWS HOLLYWOOD HOGAN AND TRIPLE H FOLLOWED BY A SHOT OF JORDAN ROCKWELL's EMOTIONAL TITLE WIN AT TWF MELTDOWN IN 2002. DREW BLOOD COMES INTO THE SHOW FOLLOWED BY MONEY MIKE AFTER HIS VICTORY OVER DAMION WEST AT THE 2006 ROYAL RUMBLE. RANDY ORTON AND JASON OLIVER ARE SHOWN DURING THEIR CROWNING MOMENTS, AS IS MATT CRUZ. THE PACKAGE ENDS BY SHOWING DOLPH ZIGGLER CELEBRATING WITH THE BELT AFTER CASHING IN HIS MONEY IN THE BANK BRIEFCASE AGAINST CRUZ AT TWF DEADLY GAMES IN JULY 2012. THE SHOT RETURNS LIVE AND THE RING IS SLOWLY FILLING UP WITH COMPETITORS. Hudson: "What a great video package. Hats off to our production team for coming up with that one". Striker: "That was awesome. Reliving moments like that is what it's all about". Hudson: "As Jim Cornette announced on the last show, we've got a 20-man battle royal here but it's a unique battle royal. We will go until we've only got four men left in the ring". Striker: "That's right and then on the next show, those competitors will go into a fatal four-way match and you don't want to be the man to take the fall in that one as you will be eliminated from the competition, which then turns into a triple threat". Hudson: "And the man who is pinned in that triple threat will be eliminated and the last two wrestlers will head to TWF Resurrection to battle for the TWF World title". Striker: "Taking a look at some of the talent in that ring, I can't pick just one guy here". Hudson: "Well the object is just to get into that final four". 20-man Battle Royal- Last 4 Wrestlers advance to TWF Title Fatal 4 Way Axl Irvin vs. Chris Tirpak vs. Chaos Wolf vs. Eddie Saint James vs. Matt Cruz vs. Jordan Rockwell vs. Nails vs. Sebastian Cain vs. Kevin Thorn vs. Ken Doll vs. Austin Aries vs. Wade Barrett vs. Mil Muertes vs. Sylvester Terkay vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Taylor Made vs. Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Jason Oliver vs. Troy Gafgen vs. Richard Ramsley Right as the bell sounded to start the match, Richard Ramsley went through the ring ropes to leave the ring. No one seemed the notice this as the brawling started between the other 19 competitors. The tandem of Taylor Made and Sylvester Terkay were combining to attack several guys 2-on-1. That was until Chris Tirpak and Chaos Wolf crossed their path and the two teams got into a big brawl. Meanwhile, Kevin Thorn was able to muscle Austin Aries out of the ring for the first elimination. When Aries got up, Ramsley trampled him with a clothesline on the floor. Terkay was able to fend off Tirpak and after Taylor raked the eyes of Wolf, Terkay grabbed him and launched him over the top rope. Matt Cruz brawled with Mil Muertes and was able to get some space but after hitting the ropes, Muertes caught him with a big powerslam. On the other side of the ring, Jason Oliver and Eddie Saint James traded blows while Jordan Rockwell tried to get Ken Doll out of the ring. Thorn came over and clubbed Rockwell from behind and tried to dump him over the top. Rockwell held onto the ropes as Thunder Liger came and attacked Thorn with some kicks to the back of his legs. He then ran at Thorn but the TWF's resident vampire grabbed him by the back of the head and sent him sailing over the top rope. Ramsley then pulled Thunder Liger up and DDT'ed him on the floor. Sebastian Cain tangled with Axl Irvin and they each came close to eliminating one another as the rest of the competitors brawled all over the ring. A huge moment in the match came as Oliver and Saint James took their focus off each other to take Wade Barrett out of the match with a double clothesline. But seconds later, Troy Gafgen came from behind and tossed out both Saint James and Oliver! Gafgen let out a roar as the crowd was in shock. Gafgen then came face to face with Terkay and the two traded shots. Ramsley went over to attack both Oliver and Saint James but Monica came over and stood in Ramsley's way. As Ramsley backed off, he saw Irvin struggling with Cain in the corner. Ramsley got up on the apron and pulled Cain over the top rope and to the floor. Irate, Cain got up and and pulled Ramsley to the floor, smashing him with a big right hand. He then rolled him into the ring where an opportunistic Cody Rhodes was able to pick up the scraps and toss Ramsley out of the ring. Al fired up following that elimination, Rhodes then ran across the ring and caught Tirpak with a kick to the face, knocking him back against the ropes which allowed Taylor Made to take him out with a clothesline. The ring was starting to thin out and The Gold Standard was starting to take over. Though Gafgen put up a strong fight against Terkay, who was no match for the two of them and after a kick to the groin from Taylor, Terkay delivered a roundhouse kick to the back of the head before using his brute strength to push Gafgen over the top rope. Axl Irvin tried to surprise Terkay from behind but Taylor came over with a running elbow to the back of the head. That stunned Irvin, who was then dumped out of the ring by both men. It was looking like no one would be able to stop the two men. But Rockwell stepped forward, along with Cruz. The two men looked at each other before going right at Taylor and Terkay. On the other side of the ring, old rivals Nails and Thorn brawled in the corner. Ken Doll tried to sneak up on them and get in the middle of their fracas. He actually aided Nails in eliminating Thorn. But Nails didn't repay him kindly. He grabbed Doll and headbutted him. The headcutt with the hockey mask split Doll open. Doll couldn't believe the sight of his own blood but he didn't have much time to react as Nails grabbed him and threw him over the top rope. On the other side of the ring, Taylor and Terkay were starting to get the best of Cruz and Rockwell. But Taylor ran at Cruz and was backdropped over the top rope. Taylor actually landed on the apron and was holding on but Rockwell whipped Terkay right into him, knocking him to the floor. A double clothesline from Rockwell and Cruz then took Terkay out! We were down to 5 men. Rockwell, Cruz, Muertes, Rhodes and Nails. The five men started going at it and Rockwell was feeling it. He took out Rhodes with a running kick to the face before ducking a Muertes clothesline and taking him down with a german suplex. Nails and Cruz traded blows in the corner when suddenly, Mystical sauntered down the aisle toward the ring. She was waving her index finger at Rockwell, who didn't know what to think. The crowd then became very loud as Money Mike made his way through the stands and entered the ring. Rockwell turned around and was met with a "Money Pit". Money Mike got up and badmouthed "The Franchise" before Rhodes again came in to clean things up, taking Rockwell and launching him out of the ring as the bell sounded. Hudson: "My God Money Mike has cost Rockwell a chance at the title"! Striker: "There used to be some very harsh feelings between those two men and apparently, they never subsided! Money Mike has struck again"! MIL MUERTES LEFT THE RING ON ONE SIDE AS CATRINA LED HIM AWAY WITH A BIG SMILE. RHODES, CRUZ AND NAILS JUST STARED AT ONE ANOTHER INSIDE THE RING. Hudson: "We have reached the final four in the process to crown a new TWF World champion! One of those four men will win it"! THE SHOT FADES OUT AS THE TWF COPYRIGHT INFORMATION IS DISPLAYED.
