September 24, 2004

On the last stop before Eruption, the PrimeTime crew stopped in the state where everything is bigger and that was the case with this crowd. Not only was it one of the bigger all year, but one of the rowdier. The show started with Uprising that featured two big matchups.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Rick Clark

Clark seemed to be giving Chavo a wrestling lesson on the mat, using what he'd learned in the military to bully him to the mat. But Chavo, reverting back to his early training, showed he could go in that style as well. Then, after ducking a wild clothesline, he smoked Clark with a dropkick. Clark was able to get back into it after turning a leapfrog attempt into a powerslam and then went to the top rope. But his uncharacteristic move didn't pay off as Chavo took him out with a dropkick and then brought him off the turnbuckle with his shaking brainbuster drop to get the 1.....2......3.

The Million Dollar Team w/ Ted Dibiase vs. The F.B.I.

Dibiase seemed to have his men back on the winning track as they masterfully took it to the smallest man in the match, Guido Maritato. But Maritato was able to nail Rob Conway with a tornado DDT as Conway went for a northern lights suplex. Tags were made on both sides and Johnny Stamboli beat Nick Dinsmore to the punch. He then gorilla press slammed Dinsmore and moments later, delivering a hard shoulderbreaker. The Bull made the tag to Guido before taking Conway off the apron with a right hand and Guido was able to hit the Sicilian Slice on Dinsmore, hooking the leg for the 3 count and the MDT suffered another setback.

PRIMETIME GOES LIVE

AS PRIMETIME COMES ON THE AIR, FOOTAGE IS SHOWN FROM LAST WEEK OF CHARLIE HAAS PINNING JORDAN ROCKWELL TO BECOME #1 CONTENDER WITH THE AUDIO CLIP OF MICHAEL COLE AND JESSE VENTURA CALLING THE AFTERMATH.

THE MONTAGE VIDEO FOR PRIMETIME ROLLS IN BLACK AND WHITE BEFORE A BRIGHT ORANGE COLOR BURSTS OUT AND THE CAMERAS INSIDE THE ARENA SHOW THE SILVER AND ORANGE RING, SILVER BEING THE MAT AND THE ROPES ORANGE AS A FEW FIREWORKS POP OFF.

Michael Cole: "Houston, Texas is the spot as we head into the home stretch going into Eruption"!

Jesse Ventura: "This arena is going to host Bette Midler, Yanni and Barry Manilow Michael but do you think any of those concerts are gonna be this nuts"?!

A JAPANESE TUNE HITS AND AKIO AND SAKODA COME OUT ALONG WITH LOW-KI WHO HAS THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST.

Cole: "We have all sorts of news on our next pay-per-view event Eruption as we are gonna announce several matches made Jesse"!

Ventura: "I've heard about some of them Michael and they sound great"!

"JADE" BY ADRENALINE HITS AND KID GUNDAM COMES OUT ALONG WITH ULTIMO DRAGON AS FLAMES PUFF OUT FROM EITHER SIDE OF THE ENTRYWAY.

Cole: "Well we know that Charlie Haas is the number one contender and will take on Rob Van Dam for the Universal title and what a contrast of styles that's gonna be"!

Ventura: "Haas and RVD have had some great matches here on PrimeTime in the past Michael but I predict we will see a new champ at Eruption".

PAUL LONDON's MUSIC HITS AND HE RUNS OUT TO A VERY STRONG REACTION.

Cole: "Well based on the non-title win Paul London got over Low-Ki last week, he has been granted a Lightheavyweight title match at Eruption"!

A PROMO GRAPHIC WITH A VOLCANO OVERFLOWING WITH LAVA IS SHOWN. IN FRONT OF THE VOLCANO IS LONDON AND ON THE OTHER SIDE LOW-KI.

Ventura: "I know Low-Ki is looking to redeem himself after that loss and he might not wanna wait until Eruption".

Cole: "London sure brought to an end an impressive win streak but it'll be tough to duplicate that feat. However, this will be a six man tag and I don't know if he could've found two better partners than Gundam and Ultimo Dragon".

Ventura: "That may be your opinion and maybe even the fans' opinion Michael but Low-Ki will make a much more potent team with Akio and Sakoda then them".

Cole: "And what makes you say that"?

Ventura: "Let's just call the match, who do I look like, Miss Cleo"?!

6 man tag

Akio, Sakoda and Low-Ki vs. Kid Gundam, Ultimo Dragon and Paul London

Gundam started off with one of his former allies, Akio. The pace was very fast as both men wanted to use their speed to their advantage but after countering a hurracanrana with a powerbomb, Gundam was quickly in control. After a snap mare-dropkick in the back of the head, Gundam tagged in Ultimo who was very stiff in his kicks on Akio. After an armwrench, Ultimo tagged in Gundam and left Akio's rib cage open for Gundam to deliver a martial arts kick. But Gundam had an irish whip reversed followed by an impressive reverse leapfrog by Akio and Akio then scored with a jumping calf kick. Low-Ki was then tagged in and he tried to get on Gundam with his kicks. But Gundam was able to catch his foot and get to his own feet before using a dragon leg whip. London was dying to get in and Gundam made the tag as London came in to begin a riveting series with Low-Ki. After both men took each other out with a clothesline, there was a double nip up and London threw a clothesline but Low-Ki ducked and measured him for a savat kick to the head that jacked his jaw. He tagged in Sakoda who was a real change of pace, using some blatant chokes and a standing nerve hold, trying to put London out. But London waited for the crowd to come back alive and he made his move, getting to his feet and driving his elbow into Sakoda's gut three times. London went to hit the ropes but Sakoda yanked him down by his hair. Referee Mike Enos then got in Sakoda's face about it and that allowed London to get up for the dropsault which he hiot nicely. London then went to the top rope and came off with the shooting star press on Sakoda and it was all over but Low-Ki came in and pulled him off the cover. London went and tagged in Ultimo as did Sakoda, bringing in Low-Ki. Low-Ki was able to take Ultimo out with a footsweep and then went to throw a cheap shot at London. But London saw it coming, ducking the roundhouse kick and Ultimo then came from behind with the Dragon DDT on Low-Ki, hooking both legs for the 1.......2.......3.

Match Time: 6:05

Cole: "Oh my.... Low-Ki may be out cold! And that's what he gets for turning his back on his opponent"!

Ventura: "It's gonna be a bad thing for London though Cole because now Low-Ki has even more to prove at Eruption"!

CAMERAS SHOW THE VICTORIOUS TRIO LEAVING.

BACKSTAGE.....

CAMERAS SHOW SHANE McMAHON SPINNING A TUMBLER, ABOUT TO SELECT SOME PARTICIPANTS FOR HIS INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE CHALLENGE WHEN SHANE THOMPSON ENTERS IN STREET CLOTHES, HOLDING THE BELT AND LUTHER REIGNS BEHIND HIM.

Shane McMahon: "Oh, did you want to see that I'm not cheating here"?

Shane Thompson: "No Shane..... I was about to tell you that this challenge is unnecessary. I don't like the way my match went with Edge last week and I want that match again... at Eruption.... for MY title".

SHANE STOPS THE TUMBLER.

McMahon: "Ya know, I hate to drop one of my genius ideas, but you do have a point. I don't like the way that match went last week either! And I know all the Edge-heads sure as hell don't!

THE CROWD INSIDE CHEERS

So I'll take you up on your offer, you got your match. But you make it out with the title, my opponent selection for you will just get more creative".

Thompson: (gets in McMahon's face) "Go ahead... I'll face anyone".

THE SHOT FADES OUT BEFORE GOING TO BREAK.

A COMMERCIAL BREAK FOR "WALKING TALL" STARRING THE ROCK, NOW ON DVD IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR BURGER KING.

RETURN FROM BREAK....

CAMERAS PICK UP A CONVERSATION BETWEEN SHANE McMAHON AND EDGE.

Edge: "So Thompson wants to defend the Intercontinental title against me at Eruption? Well you know I'm all over that, but I got a bone to pick with that ugly Luther Reigns first".

McMahon: "I'll make the match for tonight if you're up to it".

Edge: "Are you kidding me? These Edgeheads came to see me kick someone's ass and I'm gonna start with Luther tonight and then Thompson at Eruption".

EDGE WALKS AWAY, LEAVING SHANE SMILING.

IN THE RING, RENE DUPREE IS POSING WHILE THE FANS BOO AND HIS MUSIC PLAYS.

Cole: "So Edge and Luther Reigns tonight?! That's a huge match"!

A PROMO GRAPHIC WITH THE PRIMETIME LOGO POPS UP. DYLAN JANSENS IS ON ONE SIDE AND RHYNO IS ON THE OTHER.

TAJIRI's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD REACTION.

Ventura: "And that's not all Michael, look at this match that's been made for tonight"!

Cole: "It won't be for the Hardcore title but you can bet Rhyno will get right into that title mix with a win over Jansens but this should be an interesting match, the French Phenom versus the Japanese Buzzsaw".

Ventura: "Well size and strength goes to Dupree easily but Tajiri's got the experience factor".

Cole: "Both men could really use a win here on Shane McMahon's Land of Oppurtunity".

Tajiri vs. Rene Dupree

Just as Ventura pointed out, the bigger and stronger Dupree pounded on the frame of Tajiri early and delivered a sideslam before doing his French Tickler dance. But Tajiri capitalized on the rookie mistake and kicked Dupree in the back of the legs. Dupree lunged at Tajiri but from his back, Tajiri kicked him in the head. He then got up and shot him to the corner before following in and locking in the Tarantula. Referee Charles Robinson nearly got to his 5 count before Tajiri let go but then Tajiri sized Dupree up for the Buzzsaw Kick when Dawn Marie ran out, blowing kisses at Tajiri. Tajiri got a childish smile on his face and became fixated on Dawn when Dupree got up and drilled him with a forearm into the small of the back. He then spun him around, lifted him up and delivered his Michinoku Driver move to get the 3 count. Dupree smiled as Robinson raised his arm and Dawn left very happily.

Match Time: 3:11

Cole: "Now what the hell was that about"?!

Ventura: "I don't know Michael, but I can easily see how Tajiri was distracted by her"!

Cole: "Dawn Marie is up to something and I hope someone gets to the bottom of it! First the threats to Shane McMahon and now this"!

BACKSTAGE AREA.....

SPEAKING TO EACH OTHER IN SPANISH, REY MYSTERIO AND ESSA RIOS SEEM TO FORM SOME SORT OF UNION THAT ENDS WITH A HANDSHAKE.

BACK AT THE BROADCAST POSITION, COLE AND VENTURA ARE PUT ON CAMERA.

Cole: "Did you get any of that"?

Ventura: "Do I look like a speak Spanish"?

Cole: "In some more Eruption news, those two men, Rey Mysterio and Essa Rios will team up to meet this new evil alliance of Sean O'Haire and that nutjob Heidnenreich"!

Ventura: "Call him a nutjob to his face Michael! I dare ya"!

"MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" PLAYS FOLLOWING THE LAUGH OF TED DIBIASE AND HE COMES OUT WITH CHARLIE HAAS WHO IS LOUDLY BOOED.

Cole: "Here comes our number one contender".

Ventura: "That's it? Number one contender? How bout here comes the man who outlasted three of the top superstars on PrimeTime last week to earn a shot at the Universal title.... Charlie Haas"!

Cole: "Everyone plug your ears, Dibiase's got the mic"!

Ted Dibiase: "How bout that huh? Finally, at TWF Eruption, Charlie Haas, the most physically gifted superstar on PrimeTime, is gonna get what he deserves! Charlie Haas won the 2004 Royal Rumble..... but how many title shots has he gotten?! So RVD, you better shine.....

JUST THEN, RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE MARCHES TO THE RING WITH A PURPOSE.

Cole: "What the heck? Here comes the manbeast"!

Ventura: "He's gotta be giving his congrats to Haas"!

Rhyno: "That's enough!

HAAS AND DIBIASE LOOK CONFUSED.

Why don't you tell it like it is Ted! Charlie is getting a title shot at Eruption because I got it for him! It was my Gore that put Rockwell down and he stole the pin! I don't appreciate being made a pawn for you two to get what you want"!

Dibiase: "Now hold up here Rhyno, you're misunderstanding something here. We didn't.....

THE FANS GO WILD AS "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND ROB VAN DAM COMES WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE OVER HIS LEFT SHOULDER AND A MICROPHONE IN HIS RIGHT HAND.

Cole: "And now here's the champ"!

Ventura: "Three's a crowd Michael"!

Rob Van Dam: "Ya know Rhyno, I can kinda feel your pain dude. I mean, you do have a point. But by the same token, I wouldn't feel too bad if I were you, after all, Haas has absolutely no chance of beating me".

THE CROWD CHEERS

Rhyno: "Ya know Rob, I wish I could come up there and.....

Cole: "Wait a minute"!

JUST THEN, JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES FROM OUT OF THE CROWD AND INTO THE RING. RHYNO TAKES A SWING BUT ROCKWELL BLOCKS IT AND KNOCKS HIM TO THE MAT WITH A SHOT OF HIS OWN. HAAS SCRAMBLES AWAY BUT ROCKWELL CATCHES DIBIASE.

Ventura: "Don't do it Rockwell! That's a huge mistake"!

"HERE COMES THE MONEY" PLAYS AND SHANE McMAHON COMES OUT.

Shane: "That's it! That's it! I'm not gonna allow this place to turn into a warzone! So Rockwell, please unhand Dibiase!

DESPITE THE FANS' PROTESTS, ROCKWELL LETS HIM GO AND DIBIASE ROLLS OUT OF THE RING, ADJUSTING HIS SUIT.

Now, I just had an idea while listening to the four of you bicker from the back! Oh yeah, why not make the first pay-per-view event since my return show just how much PrimeTime is the land of oppurtunity! So the Universal title is gonna be on the line as RVD defends against Charlie Haas...... Rhyno and Jordan Rockwell"!

Cole: "Oh my gosh"!

HAAS AND DIBIASE ARE FURIOUS.

Ventura: "Haas gets screwed again! I'd file a grievance Charlie"!

Cole: "A grievance? Come on, at least he has a shot"!

BACKSTAGE......

MIKE AUSTIN IS SHOWN IN HIS DRESSING ROOM WITH THE DOOR HALF OPEN. HE IS WATCHING FOOTAGE OF HIS UNCLE "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN FROM HIS EARLY TWF DAYS WHEN AN UNIDENTIFIED STAGEHAND KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND TELLS HIM HE's NEXT.

COMMERCIAL BREAK......

A COMMERCIAL FOR DR. PEPPER IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PROGRAMMING AD FOR "TRADING SPOUSES".

RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE....

WIPING HIS FACE WITH A TOWEL AND HEADING TO HIS DRESSING ROOM, RENE DUPREE IS CONFRONTED BY AN OUT OF BREATH SHANE McMAHON.

Shane: "Rene.... wai...wait".

Rene Dupree: "Well.... speak".

Shane: "What the hell was that with Dawn Marie"?

Dupree: "Who? I didn't see no Dawn Marie".

Shane: "Yeah, yeah sure ya didn't. Just take my advice, you have a great future ahead of you, don't ruin it with any association to her".

DUPREE STARTS TO LAUGH

Dupree: "You think I need your advice? That's a good one".

DUPREE WALKS RIGHT BY SHANE.

IN THE ARENA, WAR ON AMERICA's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND THEY ARE WAVING THEIR BLACK FLAG. HIROHITO GETS THE MICROPHONE AND SAYS SOMETHING IN JAPANESE THAT SOUNDS FILLED WITH HATE.

Cole: "I don't know what he just said and it's probably better that way".

Ventura: "I just thought it was great to see Sgt. Slaughter join the fight against these creeps last week".

MARK JINDRAK's MUSIC PLAYS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MILD REACTION.

Cole: "The legendary Sarge definitely had had enough of hearing America get bashed week in and week out by these guys and ya gotta wonder when it's gonna come to an end".

Ventura: "Well I have had a surprise all night long that I've been keeping in and now seems like a good time to announce it".

Cole: "You have"?

Ventura: "Yes and that is that in a couple weeks, right here on PrimeTime, we are going to have both presidential candidates Bush and Kerry in a formal debate"!

Cole: "You've gotta be kidding? They've accepted"?

Ventura: "Yes, according to my sources they have and guess who's been selected to moderate this debate".

Cole: "Uh... I have a feeling".

Ventura: "Yep, yours truly".

Cole: "That is huge news Jess, if your sources are right but it looks like Hirohito's gonna waste no time getting this underway"!

HIROHITO ATTACKED JINDRAK FROM BEHIND AND THEN THE BELL SOUNDED.

Hirohito w/ Aries vs. Mark Jindrak

Referee Chris Kay had his hands full early as Hirohito took every shortcut he could, eye gouging and hitting Jindrak with a closed fist. Hirohito was all over Jindrak with his unorthodox style and after 2 big kneelifts, he hit the ropes and took Jindrak down with a running thrust chop to the throat. After a whip to the corner, Hirohito followed in but Jindrak showed some serious agility by jumping to the top rope and coming off with a flying reverse clothesline. Jindrak then hit a gutwrench suplex and had gotten his second wind when Aries got on the apron to steal his momentum. But Jindrak knocked him to the floor with a right hand. Hirohito came from behind with a rollup but Jindrak rolled through it into a pinning predicament of his own to steal the win.

Match Time: 6:56

Cole: "Oh what an upset.... Jindrak got him and Hirohito can't believe it"!

Ventura: "But look out"!

FROM BEHIND, JINDRAK WAS DROPPED WITH THE FLAGPOLE TO THE SPINE AND WAR ON AMERICA THEN DID A SERIOUS NUMBER ON JINDRAK, LEAVING HIM FACE DOWN ON THE MAT. ARIES THEN GRABBED A MICROPHONE.

Aries: "Slaughter! You sure you want to mess with us? This is what you will get if you accept my challenge! I challenge you to a match, me and you at Eruption! You wanna fight for this country you piece of trash.... then you do so against me"!

Ventura: "I hope Slaughter accepts that challenge! I hope he shuts that jerk up"!

Cole: "Yeah but does Sarge really want to do that? He's in his latter years now and I don't think he came back to compete".

AN AD FOR THE NEW TWF FIGURES IS SHOWN WITH SHANE THOMPSON, JOE COREY AND JORDAN ROCKWELL HITTING STORES THIS WEEK!

THE LEGENDARY THEME OF RIC FLAIR HITS AND HE COMES OUT IN A DARK BLUE ROBE TO A RESPECTFUL CHEER.

Ventura: "Get up Cole, show some respect. We are privaledged enough to see the greatest wrestler that ever lived, right here on PrimeTime"!

Cole: "Very interesting matchup coming here as Flair will face Mike Austin in a match that clearly shows PrimeTime to be what Shane McMahon says it is, the land of oppurunity"!

"SAD BUT TRUE" BY METALLICA PLAYS AND MIKE AUSTIN COMES OUT TO A FAVORABLE POP.

Ventura: "Shane has given this man the chance to make an instant name for himself but that's easier said than done Michael! Flair has seen thousands of stiffs walk down that aisle trying to do the same thing"!

Cole: "Well combined with being the nephew of Stone Cold Steve Austin, this young kid could be well on his way to superstardom".

Ric Flair vs. Mike Austin

Not one person would've picked this to be a match of the year candidate, but it should end up as just that. Austin used his deadly combination of speed and power to take it to the legend Flair. After catching the Nature Boy with a flying forearm off an irish whip, he picked him up for a gorilla press slam. Austin then sat on Flair's back, grabbing and then turning his right arm. Flair was in a lot of pain but the experienced Nature Boy stretched his right foot to the bottom rope. Austin broke the hold but moved in on Flair who on his knees, was begging for mercy. Austin went to grab Flair but Flair got in a thumb to the eye and then stood up, rocking Austin with a combination of straight right hands and his deadly knifedge chops. The pro-Austin crowd even "WOOOOED" after each one. The match was beginning to turn into Flair's favor as he went to the right knee with a chop block. He followed that with a bone on bone kneedrop and Austin grabbed at his knee with both hands in severe pain. Flair then pulled Austin up and pushed him to the corner, draping the leg over the middle rope. Flair then used the base of his boot to kick at the knee, softening it up some more. But Austin was able to reverse an irish whip and Flair flipped up over the turnbuckle, landing on his feet on the apron. He ran to the opposite turnbuckle and tried to climb up but Austin grabbed him and slammed him off. Flair reached for his back in pain as Austin went back to work with a very technical attack. Flair was able to turn the tide with another eye rake and then used an arm wringer. But Austin pulled Flair into a one armed chokeslam type manuever and he covered him for the 1......2......., but Flair was up. Austin was surprised but he stayed on the offensive. But after a backbody drop, the "dirtiest player in the game" showed how he earned that moniker. Flair removed his wrist tape and tossed it across the ring. Naturally, referee Mike Enos went after it and it distracted Austin enough for Flair to get in a full fledged low blow and he small packaged him for the 1.......2........3.

Match Time: 17:18

Ventura: "Now that was brilliant! What a move by Flair"!

Cole: "Brilliant? He cheated"!

FLAIR's ARM WAS RAISED BY ENOS IN THE AISLE AS HE LOOKED BACK AT AUSTIN WITH A BIG GRIN ON HIS FACE.

Ventura: "So much for the instant name"!

Cole: "Now that's where I'd disagree. Because for eighteen minutes, these two wrestled one hell of a match and I think we could all see the outcome had Flair not bended the rules"!

Ventura: "And that is why Flair has beaten so many men Michael, he outsmarts them".

A PROMO GRAPHIC IS DISPLAYED WITH RANDY ORTON AND BATISTA ON IT.

Cole: "Up next, Flair's two proteges Orton and Batista have promised a surprise for Strife and Bahamut"!

COMMERCIAL BREAK.....

A PREVIEW FOR NFL FOOTBALL IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PROGRAMMING AD FOR "NEXT GREAT CHAMP" WITH OSCAR DE LA HOYA.

A DARK SCREEN IS SHOWN WITH SMOKE RISING. THE CAMERA COMES TO REST ON THE DARK EYEHOLES OF THE HOCKEY MASK WORN BY NAILS AS HIS VOICE STARTS TO SPEAK.

Nails' Voice: "I tried, I tried to stay away from this game.... but our fearless owner put me back in. Now, a man is going around saying hardcore is a belief. Dylan Jansens...... you have no idea what the word hardcore means! I made hardcore here in the TWF and when the time is right.... I am going to get my hands on you and show you the true meaning of hardcore! You like to say beware as the dragon enflames you. Well I've always said that it's hardcore or nothing and for you.... it's gonna be nothing"!

Cole: "Chilling words from Nails and let's just hope our Hardcore champion heeds them".

2 MASKED MEN ARE IN THE RING, INTRODUCED AS THE TEXAS HANGMEN.

Ventura: "Can you believe this though Michael? We got the Texas Hangmen out here. I haven't even heard of these guys forever".

"BOMBSHELL" BY P.O.D. HITS AND STRIFE AND BAHAMUT COME OUT TO ONE OF THE BETTER REACTIONS OF THE NIGHT.

Cole: "One of the ongoing debates here in the TWF is who is the better team. These two, or our current champions Randy Orton and Batista? That question will be answered at Eruption but first, is this surprise from Orton and Batista".

Ventura: "Strife and Bahamut may've been the best team at one time Michael but not any more! They might not even get by the Hangmen tonight"!

Cole: "We've got a referee out here and the bell has sounded so apparently this is a match"!

Ventura: "Oh my gosh.... look at that"!

SUDDENLY, THE CRACK OF A WHIP WAS HEARD AND SABLE's MUSIC HIT, BRINGING HER OUT AND SHE WAS IN VERY LITTLE CLOTHING. THAT PROVIDED THE MOMENTARY DISTRACTION THAT WAS NECESSARY AS THE HANGMEN REMOVED THEIR MAKES REVEALING THEMSELVES TO BE ORTON AND BATISTA AND THEY ATTACKED THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS TO THEIR TITLES. ORTON HIT THE "RKO" ON BAHAMUT AND BATISTA AMAZINGLY PUT STRIFE DOWN WITH THE SIT OUT POWERBOMB. THEY THEN GRABBED THE NOOSES THEY CAME OUT WITH AND HUNG EACH MAN OVER THE TOP ROPE. STRIFE AND BAHAMUT WERE GASPING FOR AIR.

Cole: "Someone stop this! They can't breathe for God sake"!

Ventura: "Yeah I agree, somebody's gotta get out here"!

FINALLY, OFFICIALS FROM THE BACK CAME OUT TO STOP THE INSANITY AND ORTON AND BATISTA LEFT WITH SABLE TO SOME OUT OF CONTROL BOOING.

Cole: "Orton and Batista have sent one final message heading into Eruption"!

Ventura: "Well you hate to see something like that Cole but I still believe that at Eruption, we will find out who the better team is and it's the team walking away right now"!

BACKSTAGE.....

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, CAMERAS ARE FOCUSED ON A HEAVY BREATHING HEIDENREICH AS SEAN O'HAIRE ENTERS THE SHOT.

Sean O'Haire: "I know you're ready to snap the necks of those two but patience will bring you the feeling you desire. Because at Eruption, when you and I destroy Mysterio and Rios, this company will have no choice but to notice you and in turn, your pain will be eased".

HEIDENREICH's BREATHING CALMS AS HE LOOKS UP AT O'HAIRE WITH AN EVIL LOOK IN HIS EYES.

Cole: "We'll be right back folks. How weird was that"?

COMMERCIAL BREAK......

A COMMERCIAL FOR ENERGIZER BATTERIES IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PROGRAMMING AD FOR "THE REBEL BILLIONAIRE" WHICH IS PART OF FOX FALL.

RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE.....

AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, JORDAN ROCKWELL IS TALKING WITH CHRIS TIRPAK AND CHAOS WOLF IN THE BACK WHEN ROB VAN DAM COMES UP.

Rob Van Dam: "Hey Jordan, ya know, I didn't need your help out there tonight".

Jordan Rockwell: "Oh yeah, you could've fooled me. But that's okay, cause you won't have my help at Eruption either".

ROCKWELL, TIRPAK AND WOLF WALK AWAY AS RVD JUST LOOKS ON.

BACK AT RINGSIDE, "NEVER GONNA STOP" BY ROB ZOMBIE KICKS UP AND SMOKE FILLS UP THE ENTRANCE AS EDGE TROTS OUT IN HIS LONG BLACK TRENCH COAT AND SHADES TO A HUGE POP.

Cole: "Well we can now officially confirm that at Eruption, this man will challenge Shane Thompson for the Intercontinental title"!

Ventura: "Well that's if there's anything left of him after tonight"!

LUTHER REIGNS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A LOT OF HEAT.

Cole: "It was just last week when Edge seemingly had the Intercontinental title won only to have this man interfere and deliberately disqualify Thompson"!

Ventura: "Big Luther is out here to do a job tonight Michael and that job is not necessarily to win the match"!

Cole: "Keep in mind it was Edge who wanted this match so there's certainly no intimidation on his part".

Edge vs. Luther Reigns

The bell sounded and Edge got right up in the face of Reigns. Luther pie faced him but Edge took a moment and fired back with 3 overhand rights before whipping him to the ropes. Edge kicked him in the gut and then hit the ropes before delivering a swinging neckbreaker. Edge went into the cover but didn't even get a 2 count. He hit the ropes again but this time Luther dropped him with a clothesline. After putting the boots to the fan favorite Edge, Luther shot him to the corner and Edge fell to the mat, holding his lower back. Luther then moved in and picked him up, dropping him across his knee with a side backbreaker. He made the cover and got 1........2......, but Edge was up. Luther thought he had worn Edge up enough and he lifted him up onto his shoulder, positioning himself for a running powerslam. But before he could deliver it, Edge slipped off and pulled him down with the Edge-O-Matic. Edge then hit the ropes when Luther got up and ducked a clothesline before connecting with the spear. It looked like it was all over but Shane Thompson ran out and broke up a sure 3 count with an IC Title shot to the back of Edge's head. Referee Charles Robinson called for the bell, disqualifying Reigns but Edge stumbled up right into the "Outcast". Thompson then got down right next to Edge's ear, screaming that he was just a "long haired punk who could never equal him". Luther got up and he and Thompson left as "Waiting to Die" by Hed(pe) played.

Match Time: 4:10

Cole: "And just like last week, Thompson bails Luther out this time"!

Ventura: "This is what Edge is gonna have to overcome at Eruption and the last two weeks on PrimeTime, he's been left laying in the ring"!

Cole: "That match will happen at Eruption for the Intercontinental title and what a card it's shaping up to be Jess"!

THE THEME MUSIC FOR ERUPTION STARTS TO PLAY AS THE OVERFLOWING VOLCANA GRAPHICS POP UP ON THE SCREEN TO PREVIEW EACH MATCH.

Ventura: "Well the one I can't wait for, we're gonna find out who the best tag team in the TWF is when Orton and Batista defend the tag team titles against Strife and Bahamut"!

Cole: "The Lightheavyweight title is also gonna be on the line when Low-Ki defends against the man who owns a pinfall victory over him, Paul London"!

Ventura: "Rey Mysterio and Essa Rios will team up to face perhaps the most deranged team we've ever had here in the TWF, Sean O'Haire and his new student if you will, Heidenreich"!

Cole: "And listen to this, we have been given confirmation that Sgt. Slaughter has accepted the challenge of Aries and both men have agreed to Slaughter's personal match... the Boot Camp match"!

Ventura: "And then in the main event, four men going at it for the Universal title! Can RVD survive the challenge of Rockwell, Rhyno and Charlie Haas"?!

RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED REACTION.

Cole: "This man right here could be the next Universal champion"!

Ventura: "He's gotta be a favorite in that one Michael but I personally think he and Haas should team together till it gets down to the two of them and then see who the better man is"!

A BLACK DRAGON APPEARS ON THE PRIMETRON AND BEGINS BREATHING FLAMES AS "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT TRACK HITS AND DYLAN JANSENS COMES OUT TO A GREAT POP. HE HAS THE HARDCORE TITLE TIGHTLY STRAPPED AROUND HIS WAIST.

Cole: "There seems to be some friction between those two at this time but there also seems to be some friction between Rockwell and RVD so who knows what to expect"?!

Ventura: "Well if you're Dylan Jansens, expect to be hearing from Nails sometime soon"!

Cole: "Nails said what he said in that pre-recorded statement earlier but tonight the focus is not on Nails for our Hardcore champion, but instead on the Motor City Manbeast"!

Non-Title Match

Rhyno vs. Hardcore Champion Dylan Jansens

The night ended with another great one on one encounter. The bigger and stronger Rhyno was in charge early but it was the resiliency of Jansens that really stood out. After a vertical suplex, Rhyno pulled Jansens up and whipped him to the ropes. But he ducked his head too soon and Jansens made him pay with a stiff front kick. He then hit the ropes but Rhyno wrapped his arms around him with a bear hug. Jansens was having all his energy sapped out of him by the ferocious Rhyno but he refused to give up. After a headbutt didn't seem to phase him, Jansens created some seperation by biting his nose. Rhyno threw a retaliatory clothesline but Jansens ducked and kicked him in the stomach before using a 2 handed facebuster to get the 1........2......., but Rhyno kicked out. Jansens got 2 more near falls after a cross body block and an amatuer style rollup but after ducking a clothesline, he ran right into Rhyno's spinebuster. That looked to spell the beginning of the end for Jansens, especially as Nails came down to ringside with a pair of brass knucks on his hand. But out from the back came Jordan Rockwell and he spun Nails around, dropping him with the Extreme Measures. He then took the brass knucks and tossed them to Jansens who caught them. But not wanting any added advantage, Jansens dropped the foreign object and turned to see Rhyno charging with the "Gore". But using his cat-like reflexes, Jansens moved and Rhyno went headfirst into the middle turnpad before DJ rolled him up for the 1........2.........3.

Match Time: 11:44

ROCKWELL CAME INTO THE RING TO CONGRATULATE JANSENS AS "OVER MY HEAD" PLAYED AND THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERS.

Cole: "How do ya like that Jesse?! You don't need brass knucks to win a match! Some of these guys need to take a lesson from DJ"!

Ventura: "All he's done is angered Nails and now, Rockwell may be on that list as well"!

The Hardcore champion has used his own brand to win this match but will Rockwell have a belt to match after Eruption"?!

THE SHOT FADES TO BLACK.
