Louisiana has always been one of the TWF's favorite stops and this night was no different as 9,000+ fans lined the Centroplex for the stars of PrimeTime who returned from just a handful of miles away in New Orleans, sight of TWF Eruption. The night, as always, got started with Uprising which featured 3 matches with a local kid being invited to the show. Non-Title Match Lightheavyweight Champ Low-Ki vs. Cajun Kid (invitee) The crowd was very much behind the Cajun Kid, a regular worker in Deep South Wrestling. But Low-Ki didn't give them much to cheer about as he brutalized the youngster's 190 pound frame with his vicious kicks and one straight to the head while he was on his knees did him in. Mark Jindrak vs. Sakoda Not too much of note in this match as Sakoda tried to wear Jindrak down with some tactful nerve holds but after escaping his clutches, Jindrak avoided a spinning martial arts kick and turned it into the "Mark of Excellence" for the pin. Luther Reigns vs. Johnny Stamboli Reigns came out very aggressive, looking to take out some frustration for Shane Thompson on one of the Full Blooded Italians. But after hitting a clothesline that knocked Reigns out of the ring, Stamboli began to pummel him once on the floor. But after driving Stamboli into the ring apron, Reigns dislodged the steel ring steps and smashed Stamboli on the side of the head with them, forcing the referee to call for a DQ. But Reigns seemed to care less as he walked away laughing. THE FANS BOOED AS THE SHOT FADED OUT AND THEN THE STAGE CREW CAME OUT TO GET THE SET READY FOR PRIMETIME. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE AS PRIMETIME TAKES THE AIR, STILL PICTURES ARE SHOWN FROM ERUPTION OF SOME OF THE NIGHTS' HIGHLIGHTS AND THEY CONCLUDE WITH ONE OF RHYNO HOLDING UP THE UNIVERSAL TITLE WHILE AN AUDIO CLIP OF THE ACTUAL COMMENTARY IS RAN. PRIMETIME's MONTAGE THEN STARTS UP AS "RAP SUPERSTAR" PLAYS. IN THE ARENA, THE CROWD IS GOING NUTS IN ANTICIPATION FOR THE START OF THE SHOW, THE MUSIC STILL PLAYING IN THE ARENA. Michael Cole: "We are still in the Bayou area but Eruption is behind us! Welcome to TWF PrimeTime, we're glad you all could be here"! Ventura: "Well I want to start this broadcast by recognizing our brand new Universal champion Cole..... Rhyno"! A PROMO GRAPHIC WITH THE PRIMETIME LOGO POPS UP SHOWING RANDY ORTON ON ONE SIDE AND ROB VAN DAM ON THE OTHER. Cole: "Rhyno is scheduled to be out here later as is the former champion, RVD who will go one on one with Randy Orton"! THE MUSIC OF RENE DUPREE HITS AND HE COMES OUT IN A PURPLE ROBE TO A LARGE AMOUNT OF HEAT BUT HE IS CLOSELY FOLLOWED BY DAWN MARIE. Ventura: "That's gonna be a great match too Cole, tough for RVD to rebound in that one". Cole: "No that's very true, but need I remind you, RVD was not the man pinned and still, he lost his title". Ventura: "Ya know you seem to bring that up every time Michael and I'll continue to have no sympathy. These guys know the rules going into the match"! "619" HITS AND THE FANS GO NUTS AS REY MYSTERIO HOPS UP FROM UNDER THE RAMP. Cole: "Fans here in Louisiana love this guy Jesse, did you hear the cheer at Eruption"?! Ventura: "Yeah, and I heard the silence after his team lost their match"! Cole: "Well what I wanna know is what the deal is between Rene Dupree and Dawn Marie, she's out there in French colors for crying out loud"! Ventura: "She's supporting her man Cole, is there something wrong with that"?! Cole: "Chris Kay has been assigned to referee what should be a tremendous opening bout this week"! Rene Dupree w/ Dawn Marie vs. Rey Mysterio As the bell sounded, Dupree had the nerve to tell Mysterio to ask for a forfeit so he wouldn't take a beating. Rey responded with a right hand that caught Dupree off gaurd before whipping him to the ropes for a wheelbarrow bulldog. Rey then looked to the crowd for support and they roared back with a cheer. He picked Dupree up and gave him a couple knifedge chops before whipping him to the corner but Dupree caught him following in with a back elbow before shaking the cobwebs off a little. After a scoop slam, Dupree decided to uncharacteristically go to the top rope and Rey got up, dropkicking him off and to the floor. Dawn came over to try and console Dupree when Mysterio leaped over the top rope, taking Dupree out. Luckily for Dawn, she was able to get out of the way. Dupree gave Rey a few stiff shots to his back before rolling him into the ring and delivering a side backbreaker which got him a 2 count when he went for the cover. Rey seemed to be reaching down for some extra power as Dupree treated him like a punching bag and then delivered a vertical delay suplex, showing tremendous power. Dupree then decided to go into his French Tickler dance and Rey got up, using a drop toe hold to get him over the middle rope. That was followed by the 6-1-9 and it looked like the French Tickler was gonna go down as a huge youngster's mistake until Dupree countered the "West Coast Pop" with a big powerbomb and he stacked Rey up for the 3 count. Match Time: 12:04 DAWN MARIE HELPED DUPREE OUT OF THE RING AND THEY HURRIED UP THE RAMP. Cole: "Boy those two aren't sticking around"! Ventura: "Their work is done here Michael, what a win"! THE CAMERAS SHOWED A FRUSTRATED REY NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED. Cole: "It looked like a done deal! What a turn of events there and Rey can't believe it! But I still wanna know what the relationship between Dawn Marie and Rene Dupree is and I'm sure I'm not the only one"! Ventura: "Well we all saw Shane McMahon try and prevent it so we know it's not a relationship that's gonna benefit him"! BACKSTAGE AREA...... IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, JORDAN ROCKWELL IS TALKING WITH MIKE AUSTIN AND PAUL LONDON WHEN NAILS COMES UP. THE HEAVY BREATHING HEARD UNDER HIS MASK MAKES ROCKWELL TURN TO SEE HIM. Nails: "Listen Rockwell..... I know we have had issues in the past, even before the TWF. But I am warning you, you better not ever get into my business the way you did on the last PrimeTime again! You knpw the real me Rockwell.... don't make that person come out". NAILS WALKS AWAY Paul London: "What does he mean by that"? Jordan Rockwell: "Pretty much what he said". ROCKWELL WALKS IN THE OTHER DIRECTION AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR THE GMC SIERRA IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A FOX PROGRAMMING AD FOR THE AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: YANKEES VS. RED SOX. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE.... AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED RESPONSE, THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "Hardly anybody predicted it, but Rhyno overcame all odds and three other men to become Universal champion at Eruption"! Ventura: "I'll admit not even I predicted it Cole but Rhyno earned it and deserves to be champion"! Rhyno: "Now I know what you're all thinkin'! Rhyno? He's no Universal champion, he'll just be a one hit wonder! Well my name Jake Delhomme and unlike the Carolina Panthers, I did win the big one"! THE CROWD BOOS Cole: "Delhomme is a Louisiana native". Rhyno: "I want it made clear that I will defend this title anytime, anywhere and against anybody"! JUST THEN, "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT TRACK HITS AND DYLAN JANSENS APPEARS TO A BIG CHEER. Ventura: "What the hell is this"? Dylan Jansens: "Is that right? Well If you remember correctly, you lost a one on one match on the last PrimeTime.. to me! So the way I see it, I should get first crack at that title"! Rhyno: "Is that what you want"? RHYNO TOSSES THE MIC DOWN AND EXITS THE RING BUT BEFORE HE REACHES JANSENS, "HERE COMES THE MONEY" PLAYS AND SHANE McMAHON COMES OUT. Cole: "And here comes Shane McMahon"! Shane McMahon: "Whoa guys! Now I realize these fans would love to see that match, but I got a better idea! How bout we give them double the excitement? Oh yeah, tonight, in that very ring, it's gonna be Rhyno and Nails teaming up to take on DJ here and Jordan Rockwell"! THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERS Cole: "Now that's a main event"! Ventura: "But Rhyno doesn't seem unhapy about it, he wants it"! TWF RE-WIND SHOWS CHAOS WOLF DEFEATING NICK DINSMORE ON UPRISING PRIOR TO ERUPTION. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" HITS AND TED DIBIASE LEADS OUT ROB CONWAY AND NICK DINSMORE. Cole: "That was perhaps the biggest win of young Chaos Wolf's career and it has led to this tag team match tonight"! Ventura: "Chaos Wolf may've gotten lucky once Cole but it won't happen again"! "TNT" BY AC/DC HITS AND OUT COMES CHRIS TIRPAK AND CHAOS WOLF TO A HUGE POP. Cole: "Well with fan support like this, they might be able to take on anyone…. Listen to this"! Ventura: "But Conway and Dinsmore have one thing their opponents don't….. the Million Dollar Man! That's probably why theyre former champs"! Cole: "That they are and to get back into contention, they'll have to win matches like this"! The Million Dollar Team w/ Ted Dibiase vs. Chris Tirpak and Chaos Wolf Tirpak was like a one man wrecking ball early, taking on both men and Chaos Wolf was just the perfect change of pace. After a back body drop on Conway, Tirpak tagged Wolf in and he became legal along wth Dinsmore. After a tornado DDT, Dibiase decided to try and get involved, jumping on the apron but Tirpak came over to pull him down, unfortunately getting referee Mike Enos' attention too. In the ring, Wolf was left by himself against both men. Conway and Dinsmore delivered a double backdrop suplex followed by a spike piledriver that compacted Wolf's head into the mat and that was it. Cole: "Whatever it takes to win right"?! Ventura: "Hey, who went to put his hands on Dibiase huh"? Cole: "Nonetheless a significant win for the Million Dollar Team". THE CAMERAS SHOW DIBIASE LEADING HIS TEAM UP THE RAMP, LOOKING LIKE THEY'VE JUST BEEN IN A REAL WAR. BACKSTAGE..... THE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS STRIFE AD BAHAMUT ARRIVE WITH THEIR BELTS TO A HUGE POP FROM INSIDE THE ARENA. Ventura: "Here come the champs"! Cole: "Speaking of significant tag team wins, we seem to have found out who the best tag ever is and it's not Orton and Batista! We'll hear from our new champs tonight"! COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A COMMERCIAL FOR DR. PEPPER IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR PIZZA HUT. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... Axl Irvin vs. Rick Clark After a back and forth, seesaw battle inside the ring, these two took it outside. After avoiding the "Axl Cutter", Clark delivered a sambo suplex on the floor and then rolled Axl into the ring. But before he could get back in, the mysterious El Diablo ran out and attacked him from behind, prompting the ref to call for the bell. Diablo then pulled Axl out of the ring and helped him up the ramp to a lot of boos as Clark was awarded the match via disqualification. BACKSTAGE..... RIC FLAIR IS SHOWN WALKING BACKSTAGE AND COMES UPON A STAGEHAND. Ric Flair: "Hey, where can I find Mike Austin"? THE STAGEHAND POINTS DOWN THE HALLWAY AND FLAIR WALKS ON. HE SPOTS AUSTIN TALKING TO A FEMALE ARENA EMPLOYEE. Flair: "Hey.... there he is! AUSTIN GETS HIS GAURD UP AND THE FEMALE LEAVES. Hey, there's no need for that, that's not what I'm here for. Good taste in women by the way". Mike Austin: "What do you want"? Flair: (laughs) "Well I just wanted to let you know that you gave the Nature Boy a real run for his money a couple weeks ago". Austin: "I had you beat and then you..... Flair: "Ah, ah, ah, don't say it kid. Listen, there's no doubt you have what it takes. It's just which direction do you wanna take it"? FLAIR WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO RINGSIDE WHERE THE FBI's MUSIC IS PLAYING. Cole: "What the hell does Flair mean by that"?! Ventura: "Trust me Michael, a kid like him should be listening to every word a man like Flair says as if it's gospel"! Cole: "We are now set for our Revolving Door match that will decide who will be the next challenger to the Lightheavyweight title currently held by Low-Ki". Ventura: "Shane McMahon set this thing up and it's finally an idea of his that I like because we get to showcase one of our crown jewels, the Lightheavyweight division"! "OOOH CHAVO" IS HEARD AND CHAVO GUERRERO COMES OUT TO HIS MUSIC AND A LOT OF BOOS. Cole: "Names were drawn at random earlier tonight and basically we start with two men, once a decision is reached, another man comes out and the last man standing out here will be declared the winner"! Ventura: "Six big names are in this thing Cole and obviously conditioning will play a factor"! Cole: "A shot at the Lightheavyweight title to the winner"! Revolving Door Match to determine #1 contender for the Lightheavyweight Title This match may be called the Chavo Invitational next time because he ran the table. After quickly distinguishing the challenge of Guido Maritato with a brainbuster suplex, he got Paul London. This was actually the most exciting match of contest and London looked really good. After connecting with his dropsault, he went to the top rope but missed badly with a shooting star press and Chavo picked him up for the "Gory Bomb" which secured a 3 count. Next out was Tajiri, a huge rival of Chavo's lately and even though he got the best of him, he sealed his fate when he went for a roundhouse kick outside the ring and kicked the ring post when Chavo moved. Back in the ring, Chavo took Tajiri down with a chop block and then locked in an STF to beat a third different opponent with a third different hold. Both those trends kept up in match 4 as Akio came out but Chavo got in a thumb to the eyes before sliding Akio back first into the ring post. After a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, he whipped him to the ropes but Akio countered with a headscissor. He then went to the top rope and jumped off with a flying kick but Chavo somehow latched onto his leg and used a hold his uncle Eddie has made famous, the Lasso from El Paso and Akio tapped out. All that stood in Chavo's way of a title shot was Essa Rios and Rios was full of energy, taking it to Chavo and getting 3 very near falls. But he made a huge mistake after knocking Chavo out of the ring and going for a suicide flip over the turnbuckle and instead hit the ring barricade when Chavo avoided him. Chavo then rolled him into the ring and hit a flying helo from the apron. That was followed by the STF and although Rios fought it long and hard, he had to tap out. Total Match Time: 17:22 Ventura: "Chavo has done it! Wow that was impressive"! Cole: "Not much you can say to knock him, he wrestled a very intelligent style tonight and he'll be rewarded with a match against Low-Ki for it". CHAVO's MUSIC HIT AND HE LEFT TO A MIXED REACTION. Ventura: "I've long considered Chavo to be the best lightheavyweight competitor in this sport and now he'll get a chance to prove that"! Cole: "Well folks don't move an inch because up next, we will be joined by the brand new TWF Tag Team champions.... Strife and Bahamut"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR CAPITOL ONE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR MILLER HIGH LIFE. RETURN FROM BREAK..... AS SOON AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, "BOMBSHELL" BY POWERMAN 5000 HITS AND THAT LEADS STRIFE AND BAHAMUT OUT TO A HUGE CHEER, ONE OF THE BIGGEST ALL NIGHT. THEY EACH HAVE THEIR TAG TEAM BELT IN THEIR HAND. Cole: "And I'm gonna go ahead and say it to make it official..... ladies and gentlemen, the greatest tag team in TWF history..... Strife and Bahamut"! Ventura: "I gotta admit Cole, they defeated a team that I thought was superior to them at Eruption and they deserve all the credit in the world"! Bahamut: "What's up everybody?! THE CROWD POPS BIG. Orton and Batista..... is there any doubt now?! We proved what we've been proving since the day we set foot here in the TWF! This is our house and we have set the standard in tag team wrestling, not only here in the TWF, but in this business as a whole! There is not a team out there that we think stands a shot in hell of beating us! So Strife, tell these people what you think". HE HANDS STRIFE THE MIC BUT BEFORE HE CAN GET A WORD OUT, WAR ON AMERICA's MUSIC HITS AND THE ARENA FILLS WITH BOOS. Cole: "Now what"? Ventura: "Oh no, not this". Aries: "You two are nothing but typical Americans, always having to brag about what you can do. Sure, you defeated Orton and Batista but there's only one problem with that..... they're not us. So you two can come out here and tell all these Louisiana residents how good you are but what is the average IQ level in Louisiana? Exactly..... about the same as it is everywhere else in this hellhole you people call a country"! STRIFE AND BAHAMUT GIVE EACH OTHER A QUICK LOOK AND LEAVE THE RING, HEADING FOR ARIES AND HIROHITO. Cole: "Oh boy.... this is gonna get ugly"! ARIES CHARGES STRIFE BUT STRIFE BLOCKS A RIGHT HAND AND NAILS HIM WITH A FEW OF HIS OWN AS BAHAMUT GETS THE BEST OF HIROHITO. AFTER TAKING A THOROUGH POUNDING, WAR ON AMERICA RETREATS AS OFFICIALS AND AGENTS COME OUT FROM THE BACK. Cole: "Yeah, get that damn black flag and get the hell out of here! Those two have some nerve"! Ventura: "And I don't think Strife and Bahamut are gonna forget about that real soon Cole"! RAMPAGE REPLAY WITH "ACROSS THE NATION" PLAYING, THE HIGHLIGHT CLIP SHOWS A MAN DRESSED AS A DRUID ATTACK THE UNDERTAKER AFTER A VICTORY OVER MATT MORGAN. THAT MAN TURNED OUT TO BE DREW BLOOD WHEN HE REMOVED THE HOOD. THE CLIP GOES ON TO SHOW A-TRAIN PIN SCOTT STEINER IN A 6 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH AFTER STEVEN RICHARDS AND MR. MATURE MADE THEIR TWF RETURN AND INTERFERED. BACKSTAGE.... BACK TO LIVE ACTION, IDALIS IS STANDING WITH SHANE THOMPSON. Idalis: "I am here with former Intercontinental champion Shane Thompson and he has agreed to give me the interview I was looking for at Eruption so Shane, can I just..... Shane Thompson: "Can it Idalis, I've only agreed to this interview to give my side of the story of how Edge really won that title from me". Idalis: "I'm sorry, but I thought..... Thompson: "You thought? You thought? Well that was your first mistake"! JUST THEN, EDGE COMES INTO THE SCENE. Edge: "Hey tough guy, quit taking your anger out on Idalis, she didn't kick your ass at Eruption.... I did. So go ahead Shane, tell all these people watching how I really won the title. SHANE STAYS SILENT BUT IS VISIBLY UPSET. Okay, well any time you wanna do it again, you just let me know.... I'll be happy to put another blemish on that win-loss record". EDGE WALKS AWAY AND THOMPSON GIVES IDALIS A DIRTY LOOK BEFORE SHE LEAVES TOO. Heidenreich w/ Sean O'Haire vs. Kid Gundam Gundam seemed seriously overmatched but he didn't let the unstable Heidenreich intimidate him and stayed away from his reach. But after brushing Heidrenreich back with some stiff kicks, he hit the ropes and Heidenreich was waiting with a scrapbuster slam that put a big smile on O'Haire's face. But Gundam reached down deep and kicked out at 2 and the crowd got back into it. Gundam then avoided a big elbow drop from Heidenreich and got up to find O'Haire on the apron. He took O'Haire off with a thrust chop to the throat but O'Haire had slid a steel chair to Heidenreich. Gundam turned but before Heidenreich could use the chair, he got it kicked in his face! Gundam then picked it up and smashed it over Heidenreich's head as referee Mike Chioda called for the bell. O'Haire came into the ring looking to get back at Gundam but the Ultimo Dragon hit the ring and aided Gundam, fending off O'Haire and then the 2 left the ring to a huge cheer. Match Time: 4:13 Cole: "Heidenreich has won this thing by DQ but Gundam has just sent a big message to this new tandem"! Ventura: "Yeah and he doesn't realize it yet, but he just made a very critical mistake there"! O'HAIRE WAS HOLDING AN INFLAMED HEIDENREICH BACK AS GUNDAM AND ULTIMO WENT BACKSTAGE. BACKSTAGE...... IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, CAMERAS ARE ON THE SCENE TO SHOW CHAOS WOLF AND CHRIS TIRPAK COME OUT OF THE DRESSING ROOM OF JORDAN ROCKWELL AS PRIMETIME GOES TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR BUDWEISER IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR SMACKDOWN 6 ON PS2: COMING SOON TO THE TWF. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... Randy Orton w/ Ric Flair vs. Rob Van Dam After a fast paced start, Orton slowed things down with his dropkick that sent a wad of saliva flying from RVD's mouth. He then took it to RVD in a very physical manner, using some european uppercuts and a backbody drop. But when he went for the "RKO", he telegraphed it too much and RVD countered with a back footsweep that started up a flurry of offense for him. He hit the Rolling Thunder and got 1.......2......, but Orton was up. Off an irish whip, Orton ducked a clothesline and RVD tried to come back with a spinning heel kick but Orton ducked that too and it struck referee Brian Hebner. As RVD tried to help Hebner up, Flair came into the ring with a pair of brass knucks on his hand but RVD moved just in time and Flair cold cocked Orton! After taking Flair out with a spinning heel kick, RVD went to the top rope and delivered a split legged moonsault, landing with his knees on Orton's chest and he hooked both legs as Hebner got up to make the 1........2........3. Match Time: 6:48 Cole: "What a win for RVD and the former Universal champ has just made his own rematch case here"! Ventura: "Yeah but it took him knocking the referee out to do it"! Cole: "Do you need glasses? It was the screw up on the cheating attempt by Flair that cost Orton this match and up next folks is our main event but first, let's show everyone why RVD is no longer the Universal champion". TWF RE-WIND FROM ERUPTION: SHOWS RHYNO PINNING JORDAN ROCKWELL AFTER THE GORE AND THEN HOLDING THE UNIVERSAL TITLE UP IN CELEBRATION. Rhyno and Nails vs. Jordan Rockwell and Dylan Jansens This was nothing more than a free for all which referee Chioda never really had control of. Rockwell brawled all over the arena with Rhyno while Jansens and Nails traded shots in the ring. Rhyno dropped Rockwell with a spinebuster on the steel ramp just as Jansens was able to deliver a DDT in the ring to Nails. Rhyno tried to sneak up on Jansens from behind but Jansens turned with a kick to the gut followed by a 2 handed facebuster. Jansens got up, knowing Rhyno wasn't the legal man and Nails scooped him up, dropping him with the "Nail Driver" and hooking the leg for the 1.....2.......3. Match Time: 10:52 Cole: "And that's it, what a devastating move that is"! Ventura: "Now, is Hardcore still a belief"? Cole: "Oh wait a minute"! RHYNO ROLLED ROCKWELL INTO THE RING AND DELIVERED THE "GORE" AS NAILS STOOD OVER JANSENS WITH HIS SADISTIC FIRE POKER. BUT JUST THEN, CHRIS TIRPAK AND CHAOS WOLF RAN OUT. WOLF CLIPPED NAILS WITH A DROPKICK AND THEN KNOCKED HIM OUT OF THE RING WITH A FULL HEAD OF STEAM CLOTHESLINE. MEANWHILE, TIRPAK HIT RHYNO WITH 4 OR 5 SHOTS TO THE BODY BEFORE A WIND UP RIGHT HAND THAT KNOCKED HIM TO THE MAT. "TNT" BY AC/DC HIT AS RHYNO AND NAILS BACKED OFF. TIRPAK AND CHAOS WOLF THEN HELPED JANSENS AND ROCKWELL UP AS THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERED. Ventura: "Are these two trying to make up for losing tonight? What the hell are they doing"?! Cole: "They're doing the right thing.... that's what they're doing! Nails was gonna try and end DJ's career"! Ventura: "Well something tells me that the situation between these men is nowhere near over"! OFF AIR.......
