Thomas & Mack Center

Las Vegas, Nevada

Attendance: 14, 511

December 17, 2004

Fans in Las Vegas were ready for the Holiday season and they were celebrating by catching the stars of TWF PrimeTime! 2 big matchups showcased Uprising to begin the event.

Kid Gundam vs. Guido Maritato

Kid Gundam was well on his way to another victory after a savat kick but he became distracted when Rick Clark showed up on the top of the entrance way and Guido came up from behind with a schoolboy, getting plenty of leverage to assist in the 3 count and a big upset.

Rob Van Dam vs. Charlie Haas

Uprising got PrimeTime ready with a terrific matchup between 2 pure athletes. Haas and RVD have had many battles in the past and this was as good as most of them. But after ducking a clothesline, RVD blanked Haas with a spin kick and then went to the top rope, hitting the "5 Star Fragsplash" to win the match.

PRIMETIME GOES LIVE

THE SCREEN OPENS IN A WINTERY SETTING AND SNOW BLOWING EVERYWHERE. A LARGE SNOWFLAKE COMES TOWARDS THE SCREEN, INSIDE IS THE GLOWING ORANGE PRIMETIME LOGO.

THE MONTAGE VIDEO FOR PRIMETIME KICKS UP AND "RAP SUPERSTAR" BEGINS TO PLAY. THE THOMAS AND MACK CENTER COMES INTO THE SHOT, LOADED WITH SCREAMING TWF FANS.

IMMEDIATELY, BATISTA's MUSIC HITS AND THE MONSTER FROM THE NATION's CAPITOL COMES OWN SHOWING HIS INCREDIBLE PHYSIQUE. BATISTA IS GREETED BY A MIXED RESPONSE AS MICHAEL COLE AND JESSE VENTURA OPEN THINGS UP.

Batista vs. Tajiri

Batista experienced more than a handful of problems with the smaller yet quicker Japansese Buzzsaw. Tajiri aggravated him with his style, even getting in the green mist which the referee didn't see. But Batista fought through the bad eyesight and after ducking the Buzzsaw Kick, he drove Tajiri into the mat with a wreckless spinebuster and hooked the leg for the win.

Match Time: 9:50

AFTER THE MATCH, BATISTA GOT ON THE MIC AND SCREAMED FOR SABLE TO COME OUT AND TELL HIM IF THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO THE "RUMORS". SABLE NEVER CAME OUT AND NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT BATISTA WAS REFERRING TO.

COLE AND VENTURA THEN PREVIEWED TONIGHT's DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: JORDAN ROCKWELL VS. LUTHER REIGNS IN A STREET FIGHT AND DYLAN JANSENS DEFENDING THE UNIVERSAL TITLE IN A REMATCH FROM KING OF THE RING AGAINST RHYNO.

SHANE THOMPSON TELLS JASON TIGER OLIVER GOOD JOB FOR HIS WORK LAST WEEK AND ASKS HIM FOR HIS HELP AGAIN TONIGHT. HE ASSURES HIM IT WILL "MAKE HIM A STAR FASTER" AND REFERS TO WHAT HE's DONE FOR LUTHER REIGNS. OLIVER AGREES AND THOMPSON PULLS HIM ASIDE TO GIVE HIM THE NEW PLAN.

COLE ANNOUNCES THAT THE MAIN EVENT FOR WAR IN THE WINTER HAS BEEN SIGNED AND IT WILL BE A TAG TEAM HELL IN A CELL MATCH: DYLAN JANSENS AND JORDAN ROCKWELL VS. RHYNO AND SHANE THOMPSON.

THEY ALSO ANNOUNCE THAT AT WAR IN THE WINTER, THE 4 MEN INVOLVED IN THE NEXT MATCH WILL BE OPPONENTS IN A FATAL FOUR WAY FOR THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.

Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon vs. Chavo Guerrero and A.J. Styles

There was action abound in this match and the crowd loved it as 4 of the greatest pure performers in the TWF went at it. But the ending came abruptly. As Chavo and the Dragon went at it on the floor, Rey missed with his Drop the Dime legdrop and Styles gave us our first look at the "Styles Clash" since coming to PrimeTime, rolling Mysterio over and getting the 3 count.

Match Time: 4:15

AFTER THE MATCH, STYLES WENT AND GRABBED THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AND LOOKED AT IT WITH GLEAM BEFORE CHAVO CAME OVER AND PULLED IT AWAY FROM HIM, INCREASING THE TENSION BETWEEN THE TWO.

Rome vs. Paul London

London used his lightning quickness and a hit and run style to throw Rome off his game. But when Rome avoided a move from the top rope, London landed on his feet but Rome trampled him with a stiff clothesline. He followed that up with the "Ragnoreck Powerbomb" and covered him for a convincing 3 count. But Rome then demanded that the referee pound the mat two more times for a count of 5. Some fans booed but others were just in awe of this newcomer.

BACKSTAGE......

Joel Gertner: "Cage is coming back out here"!

The fans began cheering as a bruised up Devon Cage came running down the aisle and he jumped the gaurd rail onto David Flair.

Cage pounded on Flair with rights as his family looked on in fear. Cage tossed him over the gaurd rail and picked him up and launched him into the steel post which busted him open. He then took the house mic and looked into the camera.

Devon Cage: "Ric Flair!!!! How do you like me now"!?

Cage drops the mic and leaves as EMT's come out to check on David Flair.

RIC FLAIR IS INTRODUCED AND HE AND MIKE AUSTIN COME OUT. AUSTIN MAKES THE COMMENT THAT TO THE CAMERA THAT DEVON CAGE WILL PAY FOR THAT.

Ric Flair w/ Mike Austin vs. Randy Orton

This was actually a tremendous encounter. The aging Flair took it to Orton, showing flashes of what many consider to be the greatest of all time. After a poke of the eye, Flair slapped the chest of Orton with his trademark knifedge chops. But Orton fought back with some solid right hands and after an amazing dropkick, he went for the "RKO" but Flair pushed him to the ropes and hit another knifedge. Flair then took Orton down with a wicked chop block and locked in the Figure 4. But with the crowd behind him, Orton refused to tap out and rolled the move into a sharpshooter of his own. In the center of the ring, Flair had to tap out.

Match Time: 6:35

MIKE AUSTIN PULLED FLAIR OUT OF THE RING AND HELPED HIM UP THE RAMP AS ORTON GRABBED THE MIC.

ORTON TOLD BATISTA THAT EVERY BIT OF THE AFOREMENTIONED RUMORS ARE TRUE AND THAT HE HAS THE TAPE TO PROVE IT. HE WARNED SABLE TO EITHER COME CLEAN WITH BATISTA OR HE'LL SHOW THE TAPE.

But off an irish whip, Luther dropped his head too soon and Rockwell DDT'ed him right on a trash can lid. He then grabbed a steel chair and wrapped it around Luther's head, covering him for the 1.......2.........3.

TWF Universal Title Match

Challenger: Rhyno vs. Dylan Jansens

This match quickly went to the floor with both combatants using everything as a weapon. After an elbow in the midsection, Rhyno rammed DJ face first into the broadcast position before whipping him hard into the steel ring steps. In the ring, the manbeast had gained control. But through it all, DJ tried to fight back, reminding everyone he was still in it. It looked like he caught a break when he hit a jumping enziguri but when he went for a cross body block after bouncing off the ropes, Rhyno fell forward with a powerslam. After a hard spinebuster, Rhyno went for the cover but DJ kicked out at 2 3/4. Moments later, Rhyno was primed and ready for the "Gore". But just like at King of the Ring, Jansens saw it coming, this time using a leapfrog to escape. When Rhyno turned around, he caught a kick in the midsection followed by the "Awakening". There was no getting up from it and Jansens got the pinfall to retain the title.

Match Time: 4:27

AS "OVER MY HEAD" PLAYED, DJ BACKTRACKED UP THE RAMP, HOLDING THE TITLE HIGH IN THE AIR AS A FURIOUS RHYNO LOOKED ON.

OFF AIR........
