Firstar Center

Cincinati, Ohio

Attendance: 8,409

August 23, 2006

Over 8,000 fans came to the Firstar Center in Cincinati, ready for the last edition of PrimeTime before MeltDown and Uprising featured 3 very solid matches to start the show.

Essa Rios vs. Daivari

Getting out of his managerial role, Daivari took on Rios in what was a great match. Daivari caught Rios with a flying heel kick and went to the top rope. But Rios got up and dropkicked Daivari off and leaped to the top rope himself, flying off with his moonsault to get the win.

Bill Cutting vs. Taylor Made

This match featured two guys in need of a win to create some momentum for themselves and it was back and forth all match until Taylor went for his "Customizer" and Cutting got in a mule kick the referee never saw. Cutting then locked in an STF, a move he hasn't gone to before and Taylor tapped out.

Rene Dupree w/ Dawn Marie vs. Chavo Guerrero

The main event of Uprising was a highly contested bout but as usual, Dupree used Dawn Marie to his full advantage and as she distracted Chavo, Dupree came from behind with rollup and got the win.

Dupree proudly waved his French flag as Dawn clapped and the shot faded out.

PRIMETIME GOES LIVE

*DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS, THIS EDITION OF PRIMETIME WILL BE CONDENSED*

PRIMETIME's MONTAGE VIDEO ROLLS AND "RAP SUPERSTAR" PLAYS BEFORE THE SHOT OPENS INSIDE THE FIRSTAR CENTER WHERE MICHAEL COLE AND JESSE VENTURA OPEN THE BROADCAST. IN THE RING, SHANE THOMPSON IS STANDING WITH A MICROPHONE.

SHANE THOMPSON SAYS THAT TONIGHT, HE WILL EXPLOIT ONE OF THE VERY MEN WHO WAS PART OF RUINING THE SPORT OF WRESTLING AND THEN EMBARASS HIM IN THE RING. A VERY FAMILIAR ENTRANCE THEME HITS AND THE GODFATHER COMES OUT, IN FULL PIMP ATTIRE, WITH 5 VERY SCANTILY CLAD WOMEN TO A VERY BIG CHEER, WHICH JUST MADE THOMPSON SHAKE HIS HEAD.

Shane Thompson vs. The Godfather (invitee)

Thompson tuned up for his Universal title shot at MeltDown with a very impressive performance here. A dropkick to the left knee put Thompson in control and he dictated the pace to the Godfather, even slapping him a couple times across the face. But after shooting him to the corner, Thompson ran into a hig back elbow and Godfather exploded out with a clothesline. Off an irish whip, Godfather hit a big powerslam which got he and the crowd all fired up. He shot Thompson to the corner and began to warm up the Ho Train. But as he charged in, Thompson stepped out with a superkick that could've put some teeth down his throat. Thompson then yelled at Godfather, demanding to see him use a wrestling hold. But when Godfather got up, Thompson pulled him up for a unique swinging neckbreaker slam right into a cover and that was it.

CM Punk: "Can I help you"?

Chaos Wolf: "I doubt it. Ya see, I don't need any help. I have all the tools necessary to be as good as anyone here on PrimeTime, but do I get to show it? No, because this company puts the spotlight on guys like you. Why? Because you have a stupid Pepsi tattoo on your arm? Because you knuckles say Drug Free? I don't get it".

Maria: "Well no offense Mister Wolf, but you did get to show your skills on Main Event, against Stone Cold Steve Austin".

Chaos Wolf: "Oh, I suppose that's funny. That's just a big joke isn't it"?

Punk: "Look man, I don't know what you want from me, but whenever you want to try me, just let me know".

CHAOS WOLF AND CHAE ACT LIKE THEY'RE GOING TO WALK AWAY AND PUNK GOES BACK TO TALKING TO MARIA BUT WOLF TURNS BACK AND DECKS HIM WITH A RIGHT HANDED SUCKER PUNCH.

Chaos Wolf: "How's that"?

CHAOS WOLF AND CHAE WALK OFF AS MARIA GETS DOWN TO CHECK ON CM PUNK.

Fatal 4 Way/#1 Contenders for TWF Tag Team Titles

Strife and Bahamut vs. The Orient Express w/ Sonny Onoo vs. Vlad the Impaler and Eddie Saint James w/ James Mitchell and Monica vs. The Highlanders

The action was all over the place here as the rules stated you could tag in any other member of any other team including your own. Shortly into the match, the new tag team champions, The Blood Brothers came out to observe what was happening. It looked like the Highlanders had the match won when they hit Kato with the "Scot Drop" but Eddie Saint James came in to stop the count. The Saint and Vlad then disposed of both Rory and Robbie but Strife and Bahamut came over and clotheslined Eddie out of the ring. Bahamut went to the floor to follow him but Monica jumped on his shoulders. Strife pulled Kato up and began hammering him in the corner as Vlad and Tanaka went at it. But Sonny Onoo got on the apron and threw his salt in the eyes of Vlad as the referee had his attention on the action outside the ring. Tanaka then pasted Vlad with a superkick and covered him for the 1.......2........3, giving his team a chance to reclaim their titles. As The Orient Express' music played, they stared up the ramp at Dustin Kash and Sean O'Haire, who were holding their titles up in the air.

Match Time: 6:18

BACKSTAGE AREA........

RAMPAGE's JOE COREY HAS SHOWN UP WITH HIS AGENT PAUL HEYMAN AND MARIA HURRIES OVER TO GET AN INTERVIEW.

Maria: "Joe Corey, what are you doing here on PrimeTime"?

Joe Corey: "That's it? That's the best question you could come up with? Well it turns out I have a better question and Rockwell, this is for you to ask your sister, Britney Haven the next time you see her. I want you to ask her how good I was because, I'd like her opinion".

HEYMAN TRIES TO KEEP FROM LAUGHING.

Maria: "Okay, well at TWF Main Event, we found out that Steve Austin will be the special referee in your match with Jordan Rockwell at MeltDown. How do you feel about that"?

Corey: "All Austin has to is make the three count and I'm sure even someone with an IQ as low as he has can figure out how to do that".

JUST THEN, CHRISTIAN COMES UP.

Christian: "Ya know what, I'm tired of this. Maria did have a very good question for you.... what the hell are you doing here? The sign outside doesn't say Rampage does it? No, it says PrimeTime. So unless you came here to get into the ring tonight, maybe with someone like myself..... the TWF Intercontinental champion, then.......

Corey: "Wait a minute, are you challenging me to a match tonight"?

Christian: "You're damn right I am".

Corey: "Fine, you and me tonight..... it's showtime".

COREY WALKS AWAY

Christian (to himself): "No, that saying belongs to someone else...... chump".

TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match

Challenger..... Gregory Helms vs. Paul London

After becoming number one contender, Helms had all the momentum in the world going into this match. The pace never let up, it was fast throughout and both men had many chances to win. Helms backdropped London and went for the shining wizard but the champion avoided it and went for a roundhouse kick which Helms ducked and the came back with the "Nightmare on Helms Street". He made the cover but London got his foot on the bottom rope at the last second to stop the count. Helms took a moment to argue with referee Charles Robinson over the decision and London got up, hitting the dropsault to the back of London's head. He then went to the top rope and came off with the 450 splash but Helms got his knees up, right into the sternum of London. Helms tried to set up the Nightmare on Helms Street again but London countered into a great bridged german suplex and got the 3 count, continuing his 10 month reign as Lightheavyweight champ.

But Kennedy slipped off and pulled Lashley to the mat with a nasty neckbreaker to get 1........2........, but Lashley was up. Kennedy controlled the next few minutes of the match, but Lashley just wouldn't go away. They stood toe to toe in the center of the ring, throwing right hands. Lashley had more behind his and began to rock Kennedy but Kennedy came back with a thumb to the eyes. As Lashley bent down, Kennedy kicked him square in the chest before hitting the ropes but an unphased Lashley responded with a devastating spear and he covered him for the win.

Hardcore Rules

Randy Orton vs. Chris Platoon

Orton was out to prove a point in this match and that is that he can be hardcore. Platoon took the fight to him early and after clotheslining him out of the ring, he went and grabbed a steel chair. Orton got into the ring and Platoon took a swing but missed and Orton dropkicked the chair right in his face. He then took the chair and threw his throat down, right on the top of the chair. As Platoon struggled to catch his breath, Orton drilled him with the "RKO", right on the chair before rolling him over for the 3 count.

Match Time: 5:58

But Orton's music stopped and his celebration was cut short as Johnny Hazard came out with a microphone. Laughing, Hazard tells Orton he has no idea what he's in for at MeltDown.

EDGE IS IN THE RING AND HE CALLS OUT THE "SPECIAL OPPONENT" HE ASKED THE TWF TO FLY IN FOR HIM TO FACE TONIGHT. IT IS TED WALLENSTEIN FROM THE OLD GSE.

Edge vs. "The Icon" Ted Wallenstein (invitee)

Wallenstein looked completely out of shape as it's anyone's guess when he had his last match. Edge of course took advantage of this and caught him with the "Edge-a-cution" and big spear to defeat him in under 2 minutes.

Match Time: 1:44

AFTER THE MATCH, EDGE GETS THE HOUSE MIC AND YELLS AT TAZ, REMINDING HIM THAT THIS IS THE TWF, NOT THE GSE AND AFTER MELTDOWN, HE'LL BE WISHING HE WAS BACK IN THE LAND OF "HORRIBLE GIMMICKS" AND "PORN ADDICTED MORONS".

JOHNNY HAZARD IS SEEN ABOUT TO LEAVE THE ARENA WHEN HE IS HIT FROM BEHIND AND KNOCKED TO THE GROUND. RANDY ORTON STEPS INTO THE SHOT, HOLDING A 2x4 AND HE TELLS HAZARD THAT HE IS THE ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE's IN FOR AT METLDOWN.

Non-Title Match

"The Show" Joe Corey w/ Paul Heyman vs. Intercontinental Champion Christian

Christian showed a very aggressive side, attacking Corey and he looked like he was out to hurt him. With the help of Heyman, Corey tried to get all the breaks he could to keep Christian away. But Christian, like a rabid dog, just kept coming, hitting Corey with closed fists in the corner. Finally, Heyman got on the apron, trying to step in and referee Mike Chioda pushed him back. But as Christian came in again, Corey kicked him right in the groin and then delivered the "Showstopper" to get the 1..........2........3.

Match Time: 7:46

BACKSTAGE......

AXL AND TRACI ARE SHOWN IN THEIR ROOM AND THERE IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR. TRACI GETS UP TO ANSWER IT.

Traci: "Axl.... there's someone here to see you".

TRACI COMES BACK IN FOLLOWED BY NONE OTHER THAN HARLEY RACE.

Axl Irvin: "Well, if it isn't Harley Race..... woooooooo"!

Harley Race: "Listen kid, I want to make it perfectly clear that what you're doing is wrong. Not only is it wrong because of who you've done it to, but it's wrong because there is no way in hell that you'll ever live to be half as good as Ric Flair has been in this business".

Axl: "Is that right? Well I guess we'll have to see about that at MeltDown. Until then........

SUDDENLY, AXL COLD COCKS RACE, KNOCKING HIM TO THE FLOOR.

I'll just have to kick your ass"!

AFTER BEATING THE HELL OUT OF RACE, AXL BREAKS ONE OF THE WINE BOTTLES OVER HIS HEAD.

THOMPSON SIGNS THE CONTRACT AND CHALLENGES BATISTA TO USE ONE WRESTLING HOLD ON HIM IN THEIR MATCH. THEN, HE FINALLY TELLS HIM THAT HE BELIEVES HE IS PART OF WHAT HAS RUINED THE SPORT AND IT MAKES IT WORSE THAT HE GETS CHEERED FOR IT, MEANING GENERATIONS OF GUYS THAT COME INTO THE BUSINESS WILL TRY TO BE LIKE BATISTA, WHO IS MORE LIKE A BODYBUILDER THAN A WRESTLER.

BATISTA SMILES AND SAYS "THAT's ALL IN NEEDED TO HEAR". HE THEN SIGNS THE CONTRACT AND "I WALK ALONE" BY SALIVA HITS AS THE SHOT FADES OUT ON THE TWO MEN STARING A HOLE THROUGH ONE ANOTHER.
