The Scope hosted the very first PrimeTime in 2006 and 10 months later, all the stars of PrimeTime were back. The King of the Ring tournament got underway on this show which also featured a blockbuster 6 man tag team main event. Bill Cutting vs. Mikey Batts (invitee) Bill Cutting showed a very nasty aggressive streak in this match, beating Batts all over the ring. After dropping him from a fireman's carry right onto his knee, Cutting shot Batts to the corner and hit him with a running kick right to the face. Cutting then lifted Batts to the top turnbuckle and after a stiff right hand, he brought him off with a wicked DDT. He could've beat him there, but he delivered the H-Bomb for a very convincing win. Non-Title Match Gregory Helms vs. Lightheavyweight champion Daivari This was a great, fast paced contest that had many twists and turns. Daivari countered the "Nightmare on Helms Street" and caught Helms with a well placed enziguri. He then shot Helms to the corner and went and sat on the top turnbuckle, using his legs to scissor him. But when Daivari tried for a victory roll, Helms sat straight down into a great pin to defeat him. The Highlanders vs. The Orient Express w/ Sonny Onoo The slide continued for Sonny Onoo's former tag team champions as the Highlanders took it to them in this one. After Rory clotheslined Kato out of the ring, the Highlanders caught Tanaka and put him down with the "Scot Drop" to get the win. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE PRIMETIME STARTS WITH IT's USUAL OPENING MONTAGE WHILE "RAP SUPERSTAR" PLAYS. A PROMO GRAPHIC CONTAINING THE PRIMETIME LOGO IS DISPLAYED ON THE SCREEN, PREVIEWING TONIGHT's MAIN EVENT. Michael Cole: "A huge night in store tonight fans, not only will we continue with the King of the Ring tournament, but we have a huge six man tag team match that could determine the title aspirations for three of PrimeTime's biggest superstars"! PAUL LONDON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT, MAKING A CHARGE TO THE RING AS THE CROWD CHEERS. Jesse Ventura: "And as you mentioned, Michael, the King of the Ring will continue with four qualification matches and here's one of them"! Cole: "And as I also mentioned, a huge six man tag team match involving Randy Orton teaming with the Blood Brothers to take on Taz, Strife and Bahamut! Now, if Orton, Dustin Kash and Sean O'Haire win that match, then Taz can never win the Universal title as long as Randy Orton is champion and Strife and Bahamut can never become tag team champions as long as The Blood Brothers have the titles"! "IN THE END" BY LINKIN PARK PLAYS AND CHAOS WOLF COMES OUT WITH CHAE WHO BOTH SEEM VERY FOCUSED ON THE TASK AT HAND. Ventura: "I can't believe Taz and those two big dummies accepted that match but let's talk about this guy, Chaos Wolf, who if you ask me, needs to have a good showing in this tournament to shut up some of his critics"! Cole: "Think back to the Royal Rumble, where Chaos Wolf challenged London for the Lightheavyweight title. Chae tried to get involved in that match, but London stopped her and was able to win it"! Ventura: "He won by disqualification after he put his hands on a woman, simple as that and tonight, Chaos Wolf is gonna begin his quest to the crown by beating him and embarrassing him here in Norfolk"! King of the Ring Qualification Match Paul London vs. Chaos Wolf w/ Chae Chaos Wolf came out the same way he last did against London, going at him street fight style. London tried to kick him away but Wolf grabbed his head and pulled him into 3 stiff knees to the head. He then hit the ropes and ran him over with a nasty clothesline. Wolf then distracted referee Charles Robinson while Chae got up on the apron and loosened one of the top turnbuckle pads. Wolf then kicked London in the gut and tried to ram him face first into the exposed area but London put his foot up to block it and used the same foot for a high kick right in the mouth of Wolf. London then hit the ropes and knocked Wolf down with a flying calf kick. Looking to keep the match at a fast pace, London bounced off the ropes again but Wolf caught him with a jujitsu-like, STO takedown and covered London for the 1........2........., but on instincts alone, London was able to escape the 3 count. After some stiff punches to the head, Wolf loaded London up for a piledriver but London countered with a backbody drop. He then went for an irish whip to the corner but Wolf reversed it and flew in with a jumping body splash, similar to the one Sting used to use, but London moved out of the way and Wolf landed head first right on the previously exposed bolt! London then used a beautiful bridged german suplex and Robinson hit the mat to register the 3 count. Match Time: 7:50 Cole: "London got him! The ploy by Chaos Wolf came back to bite him and London has advanced to the next round of this tournament"! Ventura: "Another cheap win for London"! Cole: "Another cheap win? Are you kidding me?! It's Chaos Wolf's own fault he lost! And after the success London has had over the last year, he could be a real wild card in this tournament"! CHAOS WOLF WAS ENRAGED IN THE RING OVER THE DEFEAT WHILE CHAE TRIED TO CALM HIM DOWN. THE FANS CHEERED AS LONDON STOOD AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP, LOOKING BACK AND JUST LAUGHING. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... COMMERCIALS FOR SOUTHWEST AIRLINES AND EBAY ARE SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, "NO LEAF CLOVER" BY METALLICA PLAYS AND EDDIE SAINT JAMES IS LED TO THE RING BY MONICA. Cole: "We're jumpin' right back into the action here with another King of the Ring qualification match and Jess, we've already seen Paul London get into the next round tonight, who's gonna join him"? Ventura: "Well what I wanna know is where is the rest of this group?! I only see Monica out there"! Cole: "Well that's due to Shane McMahon ordering both James Mitchell and Vlad the Impaler to stay in the back for this all important matchup". "FIREFLY" BY BREAKING BENJAMIN HITS AND CHRIS PLATOON HEADS TO THE RING TO A RESPECTFUL CHEER. Ventura: "One of these men will take the next step in making a name for himself and becoming royalty". Cole: "You are looking at a man who has overcome so much, so much adversity in his life and some consider it a miracle that Chris Platoon is even here today". Ventura: "Well The Saint is no pushover and he'll have to overcome him if he wants to advance"! King of the Ring Qualification Match Eddie Saint James w/ Monica vs. Chris Platoon Platoon wanted a lockup to start the match but The Saint used a knee to the midsection to catch him off guard. From there, Saint James smashed Platoon with several right hands and a kick to the gut. After a knifedge chop, Saint James whipped Platoon in but Platoon ducked a clothesline and came off the other side with a nice flying forearm. Platoon followed up quickly, shooting The Saint to the ropes and connecting with a flying knee. Platoon quickly went to the mat and locked in a painful reverse armbar, but Monica aided Saint James in getting his foot to the ropes and referee Mickey Henson never saw her do it, calling for a break. Platoon pounded Saint James with a barrage of right hands, knocking him into the corner. After a snap suplex, Platoon went to the apron and after warning Monica to keep away, he climbed up to the top. But The Saint got to his feet and ran at Platoon, knocking his legs out from under him. Platoon was racked on the top turnbuckle and The Saint negotiated him to his shoulders before delivering the "Death to Humanity". Monica excitedly jumped up and down, knowing her man had just hit a big move as The Saint covered Platoon, hooking the leg for the 1........2........3. Match Time: 8:54 Ventura: "He got him..... The Saint has advanced"! Cole: "What a devastating move that was, nobody's kicking out after that"! Ventura: "To this point in Eddie Saint James' career, people have thought of him as a tag team wrestler but I believe he's out to prove differently"! "NO LEAF CLOVER" AGAIN PLAYED AS MONICA RAISED EDDIE's ARM WHILE THEY LOOKED BACK ON PLATOON, WHO HAD JUST GOTTEN BACK TO HIS FEET. Cole: "Well if this match is any indication, he could go deep in this tournament"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... SHANE McMAHON IS IN HIS OFFICE WHEN BOTH AXL IRVIN AND TRACI COME IN. AXL SETS HIS RIGHT HAND, WHICH IS IN A CAST, ON HIS DESK. Shane McMahon: "What is this"? Axl Irvin: "What does it look like? Because of your boy.... because of your little franchise, my hand is broken, so it's in a cast"! Shane: "Yeah, I see that". Traci Brooks: "But you can't keep Axl from being in the ring, in matches, so the cast is legal". Shane: "Uh.... I don't...... Axl: "Do you want to talk to my doctor? Do you want to talk to my attorneys, McMahon?! I didn't think so". AXL AND TRACI LEAVE THE OFFICE AS SHANE JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD. THE SHOT SWITCHES BACK TO THE RING WHERE RENE DUPREE IS SHOWN GETTING LOOSE ALONG WITH DAWN MARIE. Cole: "What do you think of that, Jess, Axl Irvin is now gonna wear a cast during his matches"?! Ventura: "I think it's poetic justice and I hope he hits Jordan Rockwell upside the head with that thing"! THE CROWD WILDLY POPS AS BOBBY LASHLEY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT AMID SOME PYRO WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "Axl Irvin is scheduled to battle Chavo Guerrero later tonight but here comes Lashley"! Ventura: "Yeah, here comes Lashley, but let's also mention what an oppurtunity this is for Rene Dupree"! Cole: "This will be a non-title match, but a win by Dupree would go a long way in getting him an Intercontinental title shot". BEFORE THE BELL CAN RING TO START THE MATCH, BOOS FILL THE ARENA WHEN "METALINGUS" BY ALTER BRIDGE PLAYS AND EDGE COMES OUT, WALKING TO THE RING WITH A PURPOSE. Cole: "Wait a minute.... what's this"?! Ventura: "It's Edge who we haven't seen in weeks, Michael, boy it's good to see him back"! Edge: "Let's cut the B.S. right now! I want the big officials in charge around here to answer some tough questions! Questions like why in the hell haven't I been booked since Eruption?! I want to make it clear that from this point forward, since the TWF has no problem allowing illegal holds, I am going to do whatever the hell I want around here! So Shane McMahon, you better........ LASHLEY GETS UP IN EDGE's FACE. Cole: "Oh boy, this situation's about to explode, Jess"! Edge: "Oh what, don't tell me this jacked up idiot is gonna try and stop me, get outta my face"! EDGE PIEFACES LASHLEY BUT LASHLEY RESPONDS WITH A HUGE SPEAR. MEANWHILE, DUPREE AND DAWN MARIE HAVE LEFT THE RING. LASHLEY GETS HIS TITLE AND LEAVES EDGE IN THE RING, HOLDING HIS MIDSECTION AS THE CROWD POPS. Ventura: "What the heck was that for"?! Cole: "What fo you mean what was that for?! Edge came out here running his mouth and Bobby Lashley stuck his foot in it, so to speak"! Ventura: "I just hope that Lashley realizes that Edge won't forget what just happened"! THE SHOT FADES OUT AND GOES TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR MILLER LITE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR SAMSUNG HD-TV's. RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE...... King of the Ring Qualification Match Super Crazy vs. Johnny Nitro This was one of the more intriguing matches in the qualifying round and it was a good one at that. Both men are still looking for an identity as they pursue singles careers and it was Super Crazy who came out the more energized of the two. After coming back from an undetected mule kick, Crazy hit Nitro with a flying wheel kick followed by a standing moonsault which got him a 2 count. Crazy whipped Nitro to the corner and ran in, looking for a monkey flip but Nitro held the top rope to block it and then crushed Super Crazy with a superkick. Nitro made a cover but Crazy was up at 2. After a breakdance type legdrop, Nitro pulled Crazy to his feet and belted him with 2 knifedge chops. He then shot him to the ropes but he dropped his head a tad too soon and Crazy made him pay with a sitdown facebuster. He rolled Nitro into a cover and got the 1............2........, but Nitro got his left shoulder off the mat. After a whip to the ropes, Crazy caught Nitro with a hip toss before catching him with a big time powerslam. But he broke the pin attempt to go to the top rope. Nitro was in perfect position in the center of the ring and Crazy flew off with a moonsault, only to land right on the knees of Nitro. Nitro got up and Crazy was in a lot of pain. So he picked him up and drove him into the mat with a nasty fisherman driver, hooking the legs for the 3 count. Match Time: 8:12 Ventura: "What a move, what's he call that"?! Cole: "Not sure partner, but it put Crazy out and Johnny Nitro has advanced in the King of the Ring tournament, much to the dismay of this crowd"! NITRO's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE LEFT THE RING WITH HIS ARMS RAISED AND A BIG, COCKY SMILE ON HIS FACE AS THE CROWD BOOED. Ventura: "Well they better get used to it because this guy has quite a future ahead of him"! Cole: "Johnny Nitro joins Eddie Saint James and Paul London as superstars who have advanced tonight, one spot remains"! BACKSTAGE....... FINLAY IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, TALKING TO ONE OF THE STAGEHANDS WHEN CM PUNK APPROACHES. CM Punk: "Hey, Finlay. FINLAY TURNS TO SEE PUNK. Proud of the way you beat me a couple weeks ago, ya know, with that shillelagh and all". Finlay (laughs): "Gimme a break. Besides, let's be honest, Punk, you would've made a joke for a king anyway. King Punk..... how pathetic is that"? FINLAY WALKS AWAY AND CM PUNK IS LESS THAN THRILLED. *RESULTS WILL BE CONDENSED FROM THIS POINT* King of the Ring Qualification Match Chris Masters vs. Johnny Hazard Masters seemed to be able to easily overpower Hazard and he wore him down with both a bearhug and his slow, plodding pace. But after being whipped to the corner, Hazard watched Masters post his left shoulder when he got out of the way. Hazard kicked the same shoulder twice before putting Masters down with a discus clothesline. It was the rugged, unpredictable offensive attack of Hazard that had Masters in trouble, but when he went for a crucifix pin, Masters swung him off and locked him in the "Masterlock". Hazard valiantly fought the hold but after nearly one minute of being in it, referee Mike Enos checked his arm one time and after watching it drop helplessly, he called for the bell to prevent further damage, giving Masters the win. Match Time: 8:11 Right after the match, Shane Thompson and Alex Shelley hit the ring like 2 vulchers, attacking Hazard. They were really laying into him until John Cena ran out to a deafening pop. Shelley tried to meet him with a right hand but Cena blocked it before nailing him with one of his own and then clotheslining him out of the ring. Thompson had already exited the ring as Cena asked for and received a microphone from Howard Finkel. John Cena: "Hey..... you camera guys want it, you guys want it so bad, well you got it! Ya see, Johnny and I were talkin' earlier and we came up with an idea! You two want us gone so bad, well you're gonna get your chance in the first ever tag team Loser's Leave Town match! I'm a new guy around here, but I'm willing to put it all on the line! So basically, if you guys win, you'll never have to worry about me or the hazardous one again! But if we win, then both ya'll get to steppin'"! THE CROWD POPS AS THOMPSON AND SHELLEY CONFER BEFORE BOTH BREAK OUT A SMILE. THOMPSON MOUTHS THE WORDS "YOU GOT IT" AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE...... STRIFE AND BAHAMUT ARE IN THEIR DRESSING ROOM TALKING ABOUT THEIR UPCOMING MATCH WHEN TAZ COMES IN. TAZ ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE AND THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN GREAT FRIENDS, DATING BACK TO HIS DAYS IN THE GSE, BUT IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME THEY NEEDED TO SEE EYE TO EYE..... IT's TONIGHT. Axl Irvin w/ Traci Brooks vs. Chavo Guerrero Chavo made it clear very quickly in this one that he wasn't going to take any of Axl's attitude. Axl started the match with a slap to the face, but Chavo came back with a flurry of offense. Axl was definitely hindered by his right hand being in a cast and after a nice brainbuster style suplex, Chavo went to the top rope, looking to hit the move his late uncle made famous- the Frog Splash. But Axl saw it coming, rolling out of harms way. Axl then waited for Chavo to get up and when he did, he just popped him right in the head with his cast. Chavo appeared to be clean out and Axl rolled onto him as referee Mike Chioda, frustrated he couldn't do anything, made the 3 count. Match Time: 10:24 But before Axl and Traci could do much celebrating, "Back in Black" by AC/DC hit and Jordan Rockwell came out to a ridiculous pop, mic in hand. Jordan Rockwell: "Wow Axl, I'm impressed. Now you've got a move that will win you a match. Oh and sorry about your broken hand, it's just that, you went after my knee, so it's an eye for an eye kind of thing. But I know you want another match with me and you can bring that cast for all I care. Cause I thought long and I thought hard. I wanted a match that would be so brutal, so dangerous that no one would have the balls to get into it! And then I found it, a match that Shane McMahon says he might not even sanction, a match that has only taken place once in the history of the TWF...... Bed of Nails! AXL LOOKS AT TRACI, WHO SEEMS VERY UNSURE. What's it gonna be, Axl, I can wait all night". Axl Irvin: "Fine..... fine Rockwell, you're on! Bed of Nails match at King of the Ring"! "LIT UP" BY BUCKCHERRY PLAYS AS AXL AND TRACI STARE AT A SATISFIED ROCKWELL, WHO HAS DEFINITELY JUST GOTTEN WHAT HE WANTED. BACKSTAGE...... BILL CUTTING IS APPROACHED BY MARIA. Maria: "Bill, you asked for some interview time"? Bill Cutting: "Yeah, as a matter of fact I did and don't get too excited Maria, I didn't ask for it to get close to you like I know you were hoping. I asked for this time because I am sick and tired of hearing about Carney! All this hype surrounding a guy who has lost more matches than almost any superstar in TWF history! Bill Cutting should be getting all these hype up videos, bot some orange haired freak! So Carney, whenever it is you do decide to show up on PrimeTime, I want the first match with you". CUTTING WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE...... 6 Man Tag Team Match Randy Orton and The Blood Brothers vs. Taz, Strife and Bahamut It was main event time and this one had huge implications involved. Bahamut started the match off with Sean O'Haire and the two had a great series. But after an irish whip, Bahamut kicked O'Haire right in the face. Strife came into the match and was smelling blood quickly. After a big clothesline, he caught O'Haire with his swinging chokeslam but Dustin Kash came into the ring to break it up. As Kash and Strife went at it, O'Haire made the tag to Orton who came in and drilled Taz with a cheap shot, a forearm right to the face. Soon, all 6 men were in the ring but quickly, the fight spilled to the floor. Orton and Taz went at in in the ring while outside, the Blood Brothers used a clothesline-back footsweep combo to take Bahamut off his feet. Strife came over but was overtaken by the tag team champs who rammed him head first into the steel ring post. Strife was rolled back into the ring as Orton caught a charging Taz and backdropped him over the top rope and to the floor. Orton then positioned himself, waiting for Strife to get up and when he did, BOOM, he nailed the "RKO" and rolled him over for the 1..........2..........3. Match Time: 5:21 TAZ HAD A LOOK OF UTTER DISBELIEF ON HIS FACE AS ORTON AND THE BLOOD BROTHERS LEFT WITH THEIR BELTS AS THE CROWD SHOWERED THEM WITH BOOS AND "BURN IN MY LIGHT" PLAYED BEFORE THE SHOT FADED TO BLACK. OFF AIR.......
