Over 6,000 fans lined the Cricket Arena for a huge night of action from the stars of TWF PrimeTime which featured a total of 9 matches. Chris Masters vs. Super Crazy A huge contrast of styles started the night off and it was the power of Masters who dictated the match to Crazy. But when Crazy used the ropes to fall back on him while he had the "Masterlock" on, he came within inches of a 3 count. Crazy hit a few kicks to the body before catching Masters with a missile dropkick off the top rope. But after hitting the ropes, Masters was waiting with his swinging double sledge right to the face and that led to an easy 3 count. Carney vs. Bill Cutting Two guys looking to get closer to a Lightheavyweight title match went at it here. Carney tried to keep things fast paced against the ground and pound style of Cutting and after catching him with a flying clothesline off the top rope, Carney went to the top rope again, scoring with a corkscrew attack. He went for the cover but Cutting somehow kicked out. Carney pulled him up and whipped him to the corner and after catching him with a reverse spin kick right on the jaw, Carney backed up and ran in again but Cutting stuck a knee right in his face and then stacked him up in the corner to pull off the upset win. CUTTING CELEBRATED ONE OF THE BIGGER WINS OF HIS CAREER AS CARNEY TRIED TO GET UP IN THE RING. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE
PRIMETIME COMES ON THE AIR AFTER THE 20th CENTURY FOX LOGO IS SHOWN. "RAP SUPERSTAR" THEN PLAYS INTO IT's OPENING MONTAGE BEFORE THE CRICKET ARENA COMES INTO THE SHOT AND THE FANS SEEM PUMPED UP AND READY FOR THE SHOW. SECONDS LATER, "BEFORE I FORGET" BY SLIPKNOT AND TAZ STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK TO A HUGE REACTION WITH A TOWEL COVERING HIS FACE. Michael Cole: "We welcome you to TWF PrimeTime here on FOX and we are starting this night off with the street thug from Brooklyn in a rematch from last week"! JBL: "Charlotte, North Carolina is a different world than Brooklyn, New York, Michael, it's like being on different planets, but these people are still screaming their heads off for Taz"! JOHNNY NITRO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WEARING DARK SHADES AND A HEAVY FUR COAT, TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. Cole: "Last week on PrimeTime, we saw this man score a victory over Taz in what I considered a huge upset"! JBL: "And what's it gonna be if he does it again tonight?! Johnny Nitro is one of the fastest rising stars we have in the entire TWF and another win over Taz would add more validity to that"! Taz vs. Johnny Nitro Nitro could see the intensity in Taz as the bell rang to start the match and he did all he could to delay and stall by sticking his head under the top rope. Referee Charles Robinson was forced to keep Taz back and after about a minute, Nitro finally decided to square up against his opponent, thinking he'd gotten inside his head. Nitro lunged at Taz but Taz slipped through and caught him with a big knee to the gut before pounding with 3 hard forearm strikes to the head. Off an irish whip, Taz shot Nitro way into the air with a backbody drop. But Taz clearly wanted to keep the pressure on, locking Nitro's arms and delivering a big belly to belly. Taz made a cover but Nitro was up at 2. Nitro tried to get up and was on his hands and knees when Taz stood over his back abd just swung away with some nasty clubbing forearms to the side of his head. Nitro was in a lot of trouble and once Robinson pulled Taz away, he slid under the bottom rope and looked like he was just going to walk out of the match. But Taz went after him, only to walk right into Nitro's trap. Taz spun him around but Nitro got a thumb to the eye in before running and throwing Taz shoulder first into the steel ring post. From there, Nitro went back into the ring and hit the ropes on the far side before diving through the top and middle ring ropes, colliding with Taz. Nitro had things well in control as he rolled Taz back into the ring. He then positioned himself in the corner, sizing Taz up for a superkick, but Taz saw it coming and ducked out of the way before coming up behind Nitro and locking in the "Tazmission"! Taz took him to the mat and Nitro's arms flailed around as he struggled in the hold. Robinson checked Nitro's right arm, dropping it 3 times before calling for the bell. Match Time: 5:17 Cole: "Johnny Nitro has just been choked out"! JBL: "No, Johnny Nitro has just been victimized by an illegal hold"! "BEFORE I FORGET" PLAYED AGAIN AS TAZ WALKED BACK UP THE RAMP, NOT LOOKING BACK AT ALL. Cole: "Taz has avenged the defeat to Nitro and now focuses on whatever lies ahead"! JBL: "Taz has a bright future here on PrimeTime, no question, but I'd like to see someone outlaw that chokehold"! Cole: "Well that's been tried before and until someone finds a way out of it, it may be the most paralyzing hold in all of wrestling"! COMMERCIAL BREAK......... COMMERCIALS FOR LEXUS AND CHARLES SCHWAB ARE SHOWN. *DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS, RESULTS WILL BE CONDENSED FROM THIS POINT IN THE SHOW. RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE...... AS SOON AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, DEUCE AND DOMINO MAKE THEIR VERY UNIQUE ENTRANCE INTO THE ARENA AND ARE ANNOUNCED FROM BEING FROM THE "OTHER SIDE OF THE TRACKS". THE FANS HAMMER THEM WITH BOOS THOUGH. Deuce and Domino w/ Cherry vs. Los Maximos (invitees) Deuce and Domino drew a stiff tesy in the Maximos who at one time were part of the SlaughterHouse roster. Jose and Joel relied on their quick, high flying arsenal to catch the greasers off guard, threatening to pull the upset. But Joel missed with a top rope corkscrew attack on Domino who then whipped him to the ropes and tossed him high into the air. Joel landed face first on the mat. Domino made the tag to Deuce who came in and knocked Jose off the apron with a running forearm. Deuce then whipped Joel to the far corner and ran in with a very hard clothesline before making the tag back to Domino. Domino held Joel in place by the head and Deuce hit the ropes, kicking Joel right in the face. A move they call the "Crack in the Mouth" and Domino covered Joel for the win. Match Time: 6:07 BACKSTAGE AREA..... tThe shot shot shifts backstage where the fans cheer as Jordan Rockwell is shown standing next to Maria, holding the leather strap for his match.
Maria: "Jordan, tonight you face Chaos Wolf in what we hear is a leather strap match that you asked for, my question is why"?
The fans begin chants of "Rockwell".
Jordan Rockwell: "Charlotte, North Carolina.......
The fans cheer.
Home of Michael Jordan, the blue and white of the Tarheels, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and the one and only "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!
The crowd let's out a loud "Wooo".
And tonight above all else, the home of the crimson red better known as the blood of one Chaos Wolf! Ya see Wolf, last week I dealt with Vlad and tonight I deal with you and I deal with you by whoopin your ass nice and slowly with this strap! What you remind me of Wolf is a spoiled child that throws a tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants and do you know what they do to spoiled children that throw tantrums and become a real pain in the ass? They give them a pain in the ass!
Rockwell slaps the strap against the wall.
Tonight Wolf..... tonight I teach you the lesson that you didn't seem to learn a while back in the fact that you do not mess with me, why? Because I don't play and in that ring tonight you're gonna scream out in pain for me to show you mercy, only problem is you won't get any from me cause I am fresh out of mercy and filled up with rage and violence!
The fans cheer again.
By the way, recently I placed a phone call to a friend of mine and this happens to not just be a real good friend but a guy I have been training with for a long time now and I told him the story and he said that he would come down here to watch my back just in case the Army of Darkness tried anything funny out there in the ring tonight".
Maria: "Who is it"?
Rockwell: "He, Maria, happens to be former UFC Lightheavyweight and World Heavyweight Champion and UFC Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture!
Couture walks into the shot and shakes hands with Rockwell.
Hey Wolf, tonight The Natural and I just got two words for you"!
The fans yell out "Showtime".
Randy Couture: "Ass whoopin".
Rockwell and Couture walk off as the shot goes back to the ring.
"BURN IN MY LIGHT" BY MERCY DRIVE HITS AND RANDY ORTON COMES TO THE RING IN DRESS CLOTHES, A WHITE COLLARED SHIRT AND BLACK SLACKS. HE IS CARRYING THE UNIVERSAL TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER. Randy Orton: "Now that it is official that I will defend my Universal title at WrestleMania against John Cena, I have to say one thing....... thank God! Thank God that I have this match because this is the one match that I have wanted for years! Ya see, Cena and I came into this business at about the same time. We both drew the same accolades, we were both referred to as the future of this business! How many of you remember the fact that Cena and I were tag team partners when we were both a part of TWF RAW?! I was praying for this match, praying for this oppurtunity because I know the fans want to see it. And that doesn't mean I care about the fans, cause God knows I don't! But I do want all the debate about who is better to come to an end! I want to prove to the world that I am the better man and that Cena is an also ran! Cena, you saw what I had to do to get this title, my property, back! Do you really thing I'm gonna let someone like you come in and steal it back?! Think again! Oh, and I want to make a personal promise! Cena likes to use the F-U as his finisher, which might very well be the worst finisher in the history of wrestling! I use the RKO, the most devastating finisher in the history of wrestling! Cena, you can't beat me with the F-U, I promise you that! But, between now and WrestleMania, I promise that you'll feel the RKO at least one time"! "BURN IN MY LIGHT" HITS AGAIN AND ORTON JUST DROPS THE MIC BEFORE POSING FOR THE CROWD, WHICH SHOWERS HIM WITH BOOS. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ RETURN FROM BREAK.... TWF HALL OF FAME: CLASS OF 2007: THE ROCK We are proud to announce the very first inductee into this year's Hall of Fame, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. (Clips are shown of The Rock in action) When the TWF opened it's doors, The Rock was arguably it's biggest star. He competed in the main event at the first WrestleMania, challenging The Undertaker for the World title in a First Blood steel cage match. That match is still considered one of the biggest in WrestleMania history. Although he came up short that night, The Rock would win the title 6 months later in a triple threat match on the September 30, 2000 edition of PrimeTime. But it was his matches with Travis Wakeman that stand out in the eyes of most fans, a series of battles that brought out the best in both men. The Rock was a guy who could've competed in the TWF for 15-20 years and even though you can't see him in one of our rings anymore, you can still catch his larger than life persona on the big screens of Hollywood. We here at the TWF are proud to welcome The Rock into the Hall of Fame. BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW AXL IRVIN HUNCHED OVER WITH HIS HANDS OVER HIS FACE. HE SEEMS VERY DISTRAUGHT WHEN TRACI BROOKS WALKS IN, HOLDING A VIDEO TAPE. Traci: "Come on baby, you have to get better". AXL TAKES HIS HANDS OFF HIS FACE AND LOOKS UP AT TRACI. Axl Irvin: "I was moments away from being the main event of WrestleMania..... it's gonna take awhile". Traci: "Okay, well I brought something I thought might help". SHE HANDS AXL THE VIDEO. Axl: "What is this"? Traci: "Just watch it. I think it will instill that killer instinct in you, that win at all costs attitude. Just watch it and I'll talk to you about it later". TRACI LEAVES THE DRESSING ROOM AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. PJ Cash vs. Rory Fox (invitee) Rory Fox looked very confident againt the young, cocky PJ Cash. The bell sounded and Fox quickly grabbed Cash in a standing side headlock but Cash impressively lifted him up and dropped him right on his head with a backdrop suplex. Fox landed with a ton of impact at a bad angle and he never really did recover. Cash had the match in control and began to just toy with Fox, slapping him in the back of the head several times and using his boot to stand on his face. After a hip toss slam off an irish whip, Cash measured Fox and when he stood up, he caught him with the "Cash Register" and that was it. Match Time: 5:11 BUT AFTER THE MATCH, CASH's CELEBRATION WAS CUT SHORT WHEN CHAVO GUERRERO HIT THE RING AND ATTACKED CASH. CHAVO WAS ALL FIRED UP AND HE SWUNG WILDLY AT CASH, WHO DID HIS BEST TO COVER UP. FINALLY, CHAVO HIT A SLIDING DROPKICK AND CASH ROLLED OUT OF THE RING AND QUICKLY HEADED TO THE BACK AS CHAVO YELLED FOR HIM TO COME BACK AND FIGHT. BACKSTAGE...... IN THE BACK, THE BLOOD BROTHERS ARE STANDING OVER SNITSKY, WHO IS SEATED IN A CHAIR. Snitsky: "I know, I know, I screwed up". Dustin Kash: "Damn right you did. The way O'Haire and I see it, you cost us the tag team titles". Sean O'Haire: "We told you what the Blood Brothers were all about, Snistky, you said you could handle it"! Snitsky: "So what, you guys don't want me around anymore, is that it"?! A DEFENSIVE SNITSKY STANDS UP, NOSE TO NOSE WITH DUSTIN KASH. Kash: "No, but another mistake like the one you made last week will cost you". Snitsky: "You have my word, The Boogeyman will pay for sticking his nose in our business". O'Haire: "Then make it so". CHAOS WOLF IS SHOWN STANDING IN THE RING, HOLDING A LEATHER STRAP WITH JAMES MITCHELL AT HIS SIDE. THE FANS GO ABSOLUTELY NUTS AS "BACK IN BLACK" BY AC/DC HITS AND JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT WITH UFC LEGEND RANDY COUTURE. Leather Strap Match Jordan Rockwell w/ Randy Couture vs. Chaos Wolf w/ James Mitchell Both men held a leather strap in hand as the bell sounded and they came out swinging. Both men took some serious shots as the straps cracked against their bodies like whips, but Wolf kicked Rockwell in the gut and slapped him 3 times across the back with the strap. He then used the strap to choke the Franchise before pulling him throat first to the mat. Wolf then raised the strap above his head and swung downwards but Rockwell rolled out of the way and then used his leg in a sweeping motion to kick Wolf's legs out from under him. From there, it was all Rockwell. He punished Wolf with the strap, causing him to bleed from the ear after a whip against the side of his head. James Mitchell had seen enough and waved to the back asking for help. Vlad the Impaler came running out but he was met by Couture. Vlad took a swing at the former UFC champion but missed and Couture dropped him with a left-right combination. In the ring, Rockwell kicked Wolf in the gut and delivered the "Extreme Measures" to win it. Match Time: 7:42 AS ROCKWELL AND COUTURE LEFT TO THE SOUND OF "BACK IN BLACK", JAMES MITCHELL YELLED "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS ROCKWELL"! COMMERCIAL BREAK......... RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE....... WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, MARIA IS SHOWN IN THE BACK WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION BOBBY LASHLEY, WHO HAS THE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Maria: "Lashley, tonight you defend the Intercontinental title against Edge, who challenged you to a match last week". Bobby Lashley: "Do I look like someone who will back down from a challenge, Maria? My question is, if Edge wanted a title match, why'd he wait so long to ask? Well, after what I do to him in that ring tonight, maybe he'll wish he didn't". LASHLEY WALKS OFF AS THE SHOT IS SENT BACK INTO THE ARENA WHERE RENE DUPREE IS IN THE RING GETTING LOOSE WITH DAWN MARIE STANDING WITH HIM. "THIS FIRE BURNS" BY KILLSWITCH ENGAGE HITS AND IT BRINGS THE CROWD TO THEIR FEET IN CHEER AS CM PUNK COMES OUT, RECEIVING A DEAFENING RESPONSE. WrestleMania Jackpot Qualifying Match CM Punk vs. Rene Dupree w/ Dawn Marie The first ever WrestleMania Jackpot match has been announced as a 6 man ladder match to take place at WrestleMania 8 where the winner earns a future World or Universal title shot. Obviously, both Punk and Dupree wanted a win in the worst way here. After the fight went to the floor, Dupree used a distraction from Dawn Marie to push Punk shoulder first into the steel ringpost. Dupree would dominate the next several minutes of the match but when he picked Punk up and swung him around, Punk's foot accidentally caught referee Mickey Henson and knocked him to the mat. Dupree hit his "French Bomb" and actually had the 3 count but once Henson came over to make the count, Punk kicked out at 2. Dupree was furious as he argued with Henson and he lost focus. Punk got up and when Dupree turned around, he hit him with an open handed slap to either side of the head before drilling him with a roundhouse kick. Punk then shot him to the corner and flew in with a knee to the head and Dupree was seeing stars. But when Punk went for a jumping bulldog, Dupree countered with a backdrop suplex. Dupree had recovered enough to perform his French Tickler dance but when he went to pull Punk up, Punk locked his arm in and delivered the Uranagi and rolled the legs of Dupree up for the win. Match Time: 7:12 BACKSTAGE..... TRACI WALKS BACK INTO AXL IRVIN's DRESSING ROOM AND AXL CLEARLY IS NOT HAPPY. Traci: "So, what'd you think of the tape"? Axl Irvin: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin? What would make you think I wanted to see a tape of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin"? Traci: "He's one of the best of all time, I thought....... Axl Irvin: "That's it, you didn't think"! Traci: "He's my all time favorite wrestler! I thought you could learn something from him so excuse the hell out of me"! Axl: "Oh, you thought that I could learn something from your all time favorite wrestler, huh"? AXL GETS UP TO LEAVE THE ROOM AND GRABS THE DOOR HANDLE. Traci: "Where are you going"? Axl: "To do something about this". TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger: Edge vs. Bobby Lashley Srangely, Edge decided to wrestle this match wearing a t-shirt and from the start, Lashley easily took the fight to him. Edge got in a kick here and there, but Lashley's power was almost too much. After a big clothesline in the corner, Lashley got Edge up on his shoulder for the running powerslam but Edge slipped free and went for a clothesline, but missed badly. Seeing an oppurunity, Lashley ran and speared Edge, but he looked like he took the worst of the collision. Lashley was limp as Edge got him off of him and then Edge positioned himself in the far corner, screaming for Lashley to get up. When he did, Edge ran over and crashed into Lashley with a spear of his own, covering him for the 1.........2..........3. Match Time: 6:05 "METALINGUS" BY ALTER BRIDGE PLAYED AS EDGE WALKED UP THE RAMP WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE, HOLDING IT UP HIGH TO THE HECKLING FANS. BUT AT THE TOP OF THE STAGE, EDGE LIFTED UP HIS T-SHIRT TO REVEAL SOME SORT OF STEEL PLATE STRAPPED AROUND HIS MIDSECTION AS LASHLEY, WHO WAS STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF RUNNING INTO THAT STEEL PLATE, LOOKED ON. BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW EDDIE SAINT JAMES APPROACH MONICA. Eddie Saint James: "So, did you talk to Johnny"? Monica: "I sure did". Eddie Saint James: "Good..... then let's go". COMMERCIAL BREAK......... RETURN FROM BREAK...... AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, CHRIS PLATOON, WHO DOES NOT SEEM HAPPY, IS IN THE RING WITH A MICROPHONE. Chris Platoon: "I hope to make something loud and clear to the decision makers in the TWF right now! If that means Shane McMahon or someone in headquarters, I am not going to sit back and be treated like some midcard star anymore! I am the top guy that you have here on PrimeTime and it's time this company realizes that! I defeated Ric Flair and I defeated him easily at the Royal Rumble! What do I get in return? No spot on the show! Yet, we have time to pay tribute to The Rock for what this company is calling a Hall of Fame career? Newsflash, he left this business that I love to be a movie star! So while The Rock is off in Hollywood drinking pina coladas, I'm here at the show, ready to pursue my own Hall of Fame career, yet he gets on the show and I don't! I will come out here each and every week until this crap stops, you have my word on that"! PLATOON DROPS THE MICROPHONE AND LEAVES THE RING WHEN RANDY ORTON COMES OUT TO "BURN IN MY LIGHT". ORTON WALKS UP TO PLATOON AND THE TWO HAVE A BRIEF STAREDOWN BEFORE ORTON OFFERS HIS HAND AND PLATOON SHAKES IT. ORTON COMES OVER TO THE BROADCAST POSITION TO DO GUEST COMMENTARY. Eddie Saint James w/ Monica vs. John Cena It was The Saint who wanted this match and he attacked the number one contender head on, hitting him with a barrage of right hands and kicks to the abdomen area. But true to form, Cena fought back, catching The Saint with his spinning side suplex. After a big powerslam, Cena called for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and the crowd was ready for it. But when he hit the ropes, Monica grabbed his foot. That allowed The Saint to come from behind with a shot to the head. After a nasty DDT, The Saint looked towards the stage and seemed to be expecting something but Cena started to stir. The Saint did his best to keep him down with a few kicks before hitting the ropes but Cena ducked a clothesline and picked him up on his shoulders for the "F-U", dumping him on the mat with it. After glancing over at Orton, Cena made the cover and got the 3 count. Match Time: 6:56 "THE TIME IS NOW" HIT AND CENA CELEBRATED THE WIN WITH THE ROWDY CROWD. ORTON SAW AN OPENING AND SNUCK INTO THE RING, TRYING TO BLINDSIDE CENA. BUT CENA SAW ORTON ON THE PRIMETRON AND TURNED AROUND BEFORE HE COULD DO ANYTHING. ORTON THOUGHT BETTER OF AN ATTACK AND SLID UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE WITH HIS UNIVERSAL TITLE, STARING ON AT CENA AS THE SHOT FADED OUT. OFF AIR.........
