With WrestleMania 8 just two weeks out, the road to the biggest event of the year has hit the stretch run. The stars of PrimeTime came to the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers where one of the largest crowds in some time for a PrimeTime show was ready to greet them and ready for action. Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. Danny Gimondo and Mike Quackenbush (invitees) Paul London and his brand new tag team partner, Brian Kendrick, made their debut as a tag team and they were on fire, wowwing the crowd. After a double dropkick on Gimondo, Quackenbush came in but London and Kendrick were waiting with a double hip toss. Gimondo then got up but Kendrick used a back footsweep right as London caught him with the dropsault. London then flipped Kendrick in the air using his foot and Kendrick landed right on Gimondo to get the 3 count. Gregory Helms w/ Bill Cutting vs. Super Crazy Bill Cutting accompanied his new ally, Greg Helms, to the ring and the referee allowed it. But as Crazy got the offense going with back to back dropkicks and then a powerslam, he hit the ropes but Cutting grabbed his foot, nearly tripping him up. Crazy turned and grabbed the ropes, diving through with both feet to take out Cutting. Crazy pulled himself back into the ring but Helms kicked him right in the gut and then connected with the shining wizard to get the victory. CUTTING AND HELMS LEFT TO PLENTY OF BOOS AS THE STAGECREW GOT THINGS SET UP FOR PRIMETIME TO GO LIVE. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE
*THESE RESULTS WILL BE CONDENSED DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS*
PRIMETIME's OPENING MONTAGE VIDEO PLAYS ALONG WITH "RAP SUPERSTAR" BEFORE THE GUND ARENA COMES INTO VIEW, FULL OF OVER 10,000 WILD TWF FANS.
MICHAEL COLE AND JBL OPEN THE BROADCAST BEFORE RIC FLAIR's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO AN INTENSE OVATION, MAKING HIS FIRST APPEARANCE IN THE TWF IN MONTHS. WrestleMania Jackpot Qualifying Match Ric Flair vs. Chris Masters With one spot remaining in the WrestleMania Jackpot match, both men knew the stakes were high. Masters seemed to think he could get by on his power alone, as he muscled the legendary Flair all over the ring. But after begging the powerhouse off, Flair got in a quick poke to the eye before smashing the chest of Masters with 3 hard knifedge chops. Flair then went down low, grabbing the crotch of Masters and putting him in a lot of pain. Masters popped Flair with a left hand before whipping him to the ropes for a big backbody drop. Masters then slung Flair to the corner and followed in but Flair got in a back elbow before wrapping his arms around the waist of Masters, looking for a takedown. But that turned out to be a mistake as Masters used a go behind right into the vaunted "Masterlock". The fans tried to get behind Flair, but Masters shook him around like a rag doll. Referee Charles Robinson moved in to check the arms of Flair and after dropping his right hand just once, Robinson was satisfied he was done and called for the bell. Match Time: 9:22 Masters celebrated earning the final spot in the WrestleMania Jackpot before the shot went to the back. BACKSTAGE AREA....... CHAVO GUERRERO IS SHOWN IN THE BACK WHEN CHRIS PLATOON APPROACHES. Chris Platoon: "So Chavo, I was just wondering if you knew who might be willing to accept my Hall of Fame challenge for WrestleMania, since your uncle is a "Hall of Famer" and all, which is quite the joke. CHAVO REACHES BACK LIKE HE's GOING TO HIT PLATOON. Whoa, before you do that, you better remember you have a match with PJ Cash tonight". PLATOON WALKS AWAY AND CHAVO IS OBVIOUSLY NOT HAPPY. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ RETURN FROM BREAK.... CAMERAS SHOW CAVALIERS ALL-STAR LEBRON JAMES SITTING IN THE FRONT ROW, ENJOYING THE SHOW. PJ Cash vs. Chavo Guerrero After the comments PJ Cash made about Chavo's late uncle Eddie a few weeks ago, this is a match Chavo had been counting down to. But it seemed like he'd lost focus after what Chris Platoon said to him in the back. Cash came out firing with right hands before drilling Chavo with a flying heel kick off an irish whip. PJ Cash kept the pressure on with punishing shots to Chavo but after he hit the ropes, Chavo used a stun gun over the top rope to bring him back into the match. Chavo tried to get the STF on but Cash struggled free and kicked Chavo in the right kneecap. Cash then went for a suplex, but Chavo blocked it and lifted Cash to the top rope, trying to climb up with him. But Cash punched him three times and pushed him to the mat before flying off with a missile dropkick that found it's mark. Cash quickly covered Chavo for the 1.........2......., but Chavo remarkably kicked out just in time. Cash yelled something to the crowd before pulling Chavo up, but Chavo came up with a very nice small package into a cover to steal the win. Match Time: 5:23 But after the match was over, PJ Cash came back into the ring with a steel chair and just wore Chavo out with it, hitting him across the back 6 times before referee Mickey Henson finally got him to leave. BACKSTAGE....... MARIA IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, STANDING OUTSIDE A DRESSING ROOM WITH MONICA. Maria: "Monica, last week you told Eddie Saint James that things with Johnny Hazard were all worked out, yet, we saw Johnny come out and tell The Saint that he wanted nothing to do with the Army of Darkness". Monica: "I'm gonna allow you to get by with that comment tonight, Maria, because I realize why Johnny made that decision. See, he and I had a long talk, a long talk about a lot of things and I too have had a change of heart. So I have some things to say to Johnny, but I want to do it in front of the world, in the ring". “COME ON” BY WATERPROOF BLONDE HITS AS THE BLOOD BROTHERS MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE RING WITH THEIR FIGHTING STAFFS, AND ASK FOR MICROPHONES.
Dustin Kash: "Last week we were robbed of a Tag Team title shot and we weren’t even pinned or involved in the decision! So right now we are asking the man who cost us a title shot to come to the ring"!
SNITSKY’S MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS.
Sean O’Haire: "What do you have to say for yourself? We bring you back onto TWF television after several months of you doing nothing but help tie other superstar’s boots, and what do you do? Not only do you not solve our Boogeyman problem, but also because of you we don’t have a Tag Team title shot tonight, but instead the washed up failed comeback stars Bahamut and Strife get a shot"!
Dustin Kash: "You had your chance and until you can prove that you are worthy to have at our sides......
JUST THEN, SEAN O’HAIRE SMACKS HIS FIGHTING STAFF RIGHT OVER THE SKULL OF SNITSKY. O'HAIRE BEGINS KICKING A FALLEN SNITSKY, AS DUSTIN KASH LIFTS HIM UP AND HOLDS HIM IN POSITION FOR THE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP/STO COMBINATION, AS SEAN O’HAIRE COMPLETES IT WITH A RUNNING START. KASH THEN LIFTS SNITSKY UP AND THROWS HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR.
Dustin Kash: "Me and O’Haire here have never been more focused and we are hellbent on winning back what is rightfully ours, the TWF Tag Team Championships"!
Sean O’Haire: "One way or another, after Wrestlemania, we WILL be Tag Team champions"! SHORTLY AFTER THE BLOOD BROTHERS LEAVE, SNITSKY IS BACK IN THE RING, TRYING TO SHAKE OFF THE AFFECTS OF THE ATTACK WHEN THE BOOGEYMAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES CRAWLING OUT WITH A LARGE CLOCK HANGING FROM HIS MOUTH. The Boogeyman vs. Snitsky The Boogeyman pretty much just picked up the pieces of what was left of Snitsky and after 3 hard clotheslines, he grabbed Snitsky by the throat and began to choke him out. Referee Mike Chioda moved in to break it up and that allowed Snitsky to kick Boogeyman in the gut. Snitsky then went for a pump handle slam but Boogeyman slipped off his shoulders and picked Snitsky up from behind before just driving him chest and face first into the mat. Boogeyman then rolled Snitsky over and made a very unorthodox cover to get the 1.......2.......3. Match Time: 2:19 After the match, Boogeyman took a fistful of worms and crammed them down the throat of Snitsky before going into his unusual gyrations while his music played before PrimeTime went to break. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... RETURN FROM BREAK.....WRESTLEMANIA REPLAY SHOWS RHYNO SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDING THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AGAINST EDGE AT WRESTLEMANIA 3. BACKSTAGE......DRESSING ROOM..... THE FANS LOUDLY POP AS SHAWN MICHAELS IS SHOWN LACING HIS BOOTS WHEN JORDAN ROCKWELL WALKS IN. Shawn Michaels: "Hey man, what's up? You ready for our match tonight"? Jordan Rockwell: "Ah, you know I'm ready to go out and beat the hell out of two members of the Village People. But I just wanted to say thanks for having my back last week, I knew you'd be there when I made the call". Michaels: "Yeah, no problem, it's good to be back. And with WrestleMania coming up, it makes it that much better, right? See ya out there, man". MONICA COMES OUT TO THE RING AND ASKS JOHNNY HAZARD TO COME OUT. HAZARD QUICKLY RESPONDS, TELLING THE HAREM TO GO BACKSTAGE AFTER THEY COME OUT AND DANCE WITH HIM. HAZARD GETS INTO THE RING AND MONICA TELLS HIM SHE UNDERSTANDS WHY HE MADE THE DECISION HE MADE AND NOW SHE WANTS TO "CHANGE HER LIFE" AS WELL. HAZARD SEEMS A LITTLE HESITANT, BUT SAYS HE ALWAYS SAW MONICA AS A FOLLOWER, SOMEONE WHO COULD DO BETTER. BUT SUDDENLY, EDDIE SAINT JAMES RUNS OUT AND ATTACKS HAZARD WITH OF ALL THINGS, A TIRE IRON! AFTER A SHOT TO THE HEAD AND SEVERAL TO THE RIBS, MONICA KICKS HAZARD SQUARE IN THE FACE, REVEALING THE WHOLE THING WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A SET UP. JAMES MITCHELL IS SHOWN STANDING AT THE TOP OF THE STAGE, LAUGHING AND ENJOYING THE ATTACK VERY MUCH. BACKSTAGE....... MARIA IS SHOWN STANDING WITH CM PUNK AND THE CROWD GIVES HIM A GOOD CHEER. Maria: "CM, now that Chris Masters has qualified for the WrestleMania Jackpot, the field is set. How do you feel about your chances going into WrestleMania"? CM Punk: "Maria, I am more excited about this oppurtunity than I've ever been in my wrestling career, and I......... "You have no chance! FINLAY COMES INTO THE SHOT. Finlay: "Prove it, Punk, prove it". FINLAY WALKS AWAY AS PUNK JUST LOOKS ON BEFORE THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. Shawn Michaels and Jordan Rockwell vs. Chaos Wolf and Vlad the Impaler w/ James Mitchell Shawn Michaels started the match off and showed no signs of ring rust as he took it to both Wolf and Vlad. He caught Vlad with the "Sweet Chin Music" after a nip up but Wolf prevented the 3 count. Michaels delivered an inverted atomic drop to Vlad before tagging in Rockwell who drilled him with a clothesline. Rockwell then hit the ropes but Wolf clubbed him in the back of the head and Vlad delivered a nasty clothesline of his own before making the tag to Wolf. This would start a period of domination for Wolf and Vlad who kept Rockwell on their side of the ring, away from Michaels. Wolf tagged in Vlad and whipped Rockwell to the ropes, picking him up for a sideslam but as he went down, Vlad came off the middle rope with a big legdrop. A cover was made but HBK came in to break up the pin and as referee Mike Enos forced Michaels back to his corner, Wolf and Vlad used the tag rope to choke Rockwell. Mitchell yelled for them to increase the pressure and even when Enos turned to notice, they continued strangling the Franchise. Enos made a 5 count and they still didn't let loose, so he asked for the bell, disqualifying Wolf and Vlad. Michaels came into the ring and caught Vlad with a right hand before superkicking Wolf out of the ring. Rockwell then broke free of the tag rope and ran and clotheslined Vlad over the top rope as well. Wolf and Vlad wanted to continue the fight, but Mitchell held them back. Match Time: 7:12 After the match, Michaels got a microphone. Shawn Michaels: "Hey Rockwell..... before ya leave, I thought I'd tell ya the real reason why I came to PrimeTime to get your back last week. ROCKWELL IS FROZEN BY THE WORDS AND TURNS AROUND TO FACE MICHAELS. For the last five years at least, your name has been synonomous with this company, the number one wrestling company in the world today. And with WrestleMania coming up, we all know that WrestleMania is the event where legends are made. Now, neither one of us needs to make a name for ourselves, but what if we can give these people what they want to see? I know you had a match with The Undertaker last year that you wanted your whole career and now, I am asking you for a match I've wanted since the first time I saw you wrestle. Rockwell, it would be ny honor to face you at WrestleMania". MICHAELS EXTENDS HIS HAND AND ROCKWELL SHAKES IT AS THE FANS GO WILD. Michael Cole: "It looks like we've just gotten an earth shattering announcement for WrestleMania! Jordan Rockwell will face Shawn Michaels"! JBL: "It's the Franchise versus the Heartbreak Kid, Michael, but how ironic is it that now, Michaels wants to do something for the fans when the last time we saw him, he was totally against them"! Cole: "The last time Michaels was on TWF television prior to last week, it was High Octane who told him he didn't want to see him back until he was the old Shawn Michaels again! It looks to me like Michaels has found it within him to go back to that guy"! COMMERCIAL BREAK............ RETURN FROM BREAK....... RINGSIDE...... TWF Tag Team Title Match Challengers: Strife and Bahamut vs. The Highlanders After earning the title shot last week, Strife and Bahamut weren't about to let this oppurtunity slip away. They looked as good as they ever have as they punished the Highlanders and with all 4 men in the ring, Bahamut took Rory McCallister and powerbombed him over the top rope and to the floor! Referee Chris Kay almost looked like he wanted to disqualify the challengers, but as Robbie checked on his cousin, Strife came out and kicked him right in the side of the head. Strife then fed Rory into the ring to Bahamut and Bahamut nailed one of the most impressive moves in TWF history, a 7 foot man performing the Lionsault, which he calls "What Legends are Made of" and Bah hooked the leg, securing the fourth Tag Team title reign for he and Strife. A wild celebration was set off as Strife and Bah were given the titles once again. Match Time: 8:00 BACKSTAGE....... IN THE BACK, MARIA HAS CAUGHT UP WITH AN ELATED JORDAN ROCKWELL. Maria: "Rockwell, everyone saw what just happened out in the ring so we gotta know, what's your answer to HBK's challenge"? Jordan Rockwell: "Are you kidding? Michaels is a guy I've respected since day one here in the TWF and a match with him at WrestleMania would be gold. I'm on my way to Shane McMahon's office to draw up the contract right now". Axl Irvin w/ Traci Brooks vs. Carney Axl Irvin came out to his new theme song, "The Realest" by Young Jeezy which seemed to be part of a new attitude as Axl was in a zone we've never seen him in before. Axl punished Carney with a power attack and after a side backbreaker, he waited for Carney to get up before sending a message to Steve Austin by using the move he made famous, the Stunner. Axl made the cover and got the quick win as even Traci seemed impressed by Axl's performance. Match Time: 2:32 But after the match, to the surprise of everyone, the sound of breaking glass was heard and the fans were jumping up and down, screaming their heads off as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin headed to the ring! But Austin wasn't on foot, he was driving a black truck with the Cleveland Cavaliers logo on the hood. Austin got out of the truck with a can of beer in one hand and a microphone in the other. Austin then stood on the hood of the truck to address Axl. Austin said by Axl challenging him to a match at WrestleMania meant he was either very confident or one stupid son of a bitch! Austin mentioned that Traci had good taste in him being her favorite wrestler, but bad taste in men in general seeing as how Axl looked like the lovechild of Richard Simmons and Tammy Faye! Austin said he would be in New Orleans to face Axl and open up a can of whoop ass all over him! Austin then threw the truck in reverse and backed up as Axl and Traci seemed to be arguing in the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ RETURN FROM BREAK..... SHANE McMAHON's OFFICE....... AS PRIMETIME RETURNS, SHANE McMAHON IS SHOWN IN HIS OFFICE DOING SOME PAPERWORK WHEN THE BLOOD BROTHERS ENTER. Shane McMahon: "Ah, I saw what you guys did to your friend Snitsky tonight. I don't know..... Dustin Kash: "He's not our friend. We came here because we feel we deserve a shot to get our Tag Team titles back and now that Strife and Bahamut have them, we want a shot"! Shane: "Even though if you two are the champs, they can't get one from you because of that stipulation". CHAOS WOLF AND VLAD COME INTO THE OFFICE. Chaos Wolf: "Whoa, these two chumps might be the former champions, but we deserve a shot at the belts too". Shane: "Well, I know for a fact that Strife and Bahamut are fighting champions and I don't think they'd have any problem facing both of you. So at WrestleMania, we will have a triple threat match for the Tag Team titles. Now, if you'll escuse me, I have to work out the details of a contract here".
Class of 2007 Hall of Fame Inductee- Drew Blood Unquestionably one of the most successful superstars in TWF history, Drew Blood will be remembered for both his ability to get the best of his opponents both physically and psychologically. Drew Blood was also as good a mat technician as the TWF has ever seen. He also held both the World and Universal titles, as well as winning the Intercontinental and European during his stellar TWF career. Many fans felt Drew Blood gave up wrestling too soon and had his best years ahead of him, but don't rule out the possibility that you'll see him in a TWF ring again some day. But as a member of the class of 2007, we honor Drew Blood with his election to the TWF Hall of Fame. TAZ COMES OUT TO THE RING AND FURIOUSLY CALLS OUT KEVIN THORN FOR HIS ATTACK ON HIM LAST WEEK. TAZ SAYS HE WILL CHOKE THORN's "BLOODSUCKING ASS OUT". THORN COMES OUT AND ARIEL FOLLOWS, TRYING TO DISCOURAGE THORN FROM GETTING IN THE RING. BUT THORN CLIMBS IN AND THE FIGHT IS ON WITH BOTH MEN TRADING SHOTS. FINALLY, OFFICIALS COME OUT FROM THE BACK TO PULL THE MEN APART, BUT THEY CLEARLY WANT MORE OF EACH OTHER. BACKSTAGE...... EDGE IS SHOWN PREPARING FOR HIS MATCH COMING UP NEXT WHEN RANDY ORTON COMES UP. Randy Orton: "Ready to go"? Edge: "What do you think"? Orton: "Look man, I know we haven't exactly seen eye to eye lately and I know you have a shot to earn a future title shot in the WrestleMania Jackpot, but let's see if we can work together tonight because Cena will feel the RKO"! Edge: "Fine, besides, I'm not through with Bobby Lashley". Orton: "Let's head out there". ORTON AND EDGE WALK OFF, OUT OF THE SHOT AS IT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK.......... RETURN FROM BREAK....... Randy Orton and Edge vs. John Cena and Bobby Lashley The fans were very into this match as Cena and Lashley took on PrimeTime's top two singles champions. Edge and Orton didn't seem to exhibit any of the problems they've had lately as they worked on Bobby Lashley, isolating him in the ring and not letting him get anywhere near his corner to tag out. But Edge missed a spear attempt and Lashley got up and swatted an Orton dropkick away before making it over to tag in Cena. Cena came in the ring off the hot tag and he had the fans behind him, taking it to both Orton and Edge. He caught both men with his spinning side suplex before catching Edge with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Edge was in a lot of trouble but Orton was able to catch Cena with a chop block. He then went for the "RKO" but Cena had it scouted once again, throwing Orton across the ring. But Cena turned right into a spear from Edge who then ran over and knocked Lashley off the apron. Orton yelled for Cena to get up, catching him with the RKO when he did. He finally hit the move and Edge climbed on top of Cena, hooking the leg for the 3 count and the win. "BURN IN MY LIGHT" PLAYED AS ORTON SHOOK HANDS WITH EDGE AND THEN STOOD OVER CENA, HOLDING UP THE UNIVERSAL TITLE, MUCH TO THE CROWD's DISMAY. OFF AIR.........
