Mackey Arena

West Lafayette, Indiana

Attendance: 8,289

March 5, 2009

Coming off of the huge War in the Winter event, the superstars of PrimeTime hit the arena on the campus of Purdue University. And just like they do for Boilermaker basketbal games, fans jammed the seats for this edition of PrimeTime, which got kicked off with a full slate of matches on Uprising.

Carney and Turrican vs. Chavo Guerrero and Super Crazy

Coming off their loss in their attempt to become TWF Tag Team champions, Turrican and Carney opted to continue teaming together and were matched up against the tandem of Chavo Guerrero and Super Crazy. As you might have guessed, this was a very fast paced and very exciting match. Carney and Turrican were able to execute several big double team moves but Chavo got his team back into it when he caught Carney with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He worked on Carney, keeping him on the match for the next couple minutes before tagging in Super Crazy. Crazy came in and hit a deep arm drag on Carney before turning around and clocking Turrican with a cheap shot. Turrican tried to come into the ring but Chavo came in and knocked him over the top rope with a clothesline. Crazy then slammed Carney and went to the top rope for his moonsault, but he landed on Carney's knees and Carney quickly got up and hit the "C-Drive" on Super Crazy, covering him for the pin to get he and Turrican the victory.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Wes Powers (invitee)

Young Wes Powers saw this as a chance to showcase what he could do in hopes of perhaps impressing TWF officials. One problem: The Moscow Mauler was his opponent. Kozlov jumped all over Powers and just overwhelmed him with his Sambo style, suplexing him all over the ring before driving his hard head into the center of his chest. From there, Kozlov picked Powers up and dropped him with a reverse DDT to get a very easy win.

6 Man Tag Team Match

The Requiem: Kevin Thorn, Gangrel and Drusus w/ Ariel vs. Madcow, Blue Demon #2 and The Shiek (invitees)

This six man tag featured 3 masked men taking on the vampire trio of the Requiem and the guys in masks were clearly not much competition. Gangrel roughed up The Shiek before Drusus got his turn with Blue Demon #2. The Demon was actually able to reverse an irish whip and turn Drusus over with a powerslam. Madcow tagged in and went for some kind of bull charge but Drusus got out of the way and slapped the outstretched hand of Kevin Thorn. Thorn came in and got very physical with Madcow, kicking him right in the face after running the ropes. Thorn viciously choked Madcow before lifting him to the top turnbuckle where he delivered the "Dark Kiss" to win the match for his team. After the match, a red haze fell over Mackey Arena as Thorn, Gangrel and Drusus each took a drink from a goblet before handing it to Ariel, who gladly did the same.

Matt Hardy and Ricky Ortiz vs. John Morrison and Tatanka

Uprising's tag team main event was a good one as these 4 superstars went at it for over ten minutes, looking for the win. Morrison and Tatanka did not have very good cohesiveness, arguing throughout the contest. But Tatanka was in the ring, handing a beating to Ricky Ortiz. Outside the ring, Hardy and Morrison went at it as Tatanka flew off the top rope with a tomahawk chop on Ortiz. He went for the cover, but Ortiz kicked out at 2. Tatanka continued to batter Ortiz with chops in the corner but when he pulled him out and tried to get him up for a body slam, Ortiz countered with a nice small package and pinned the Native American out of nowhere!

MORRISON AND TATANKA CONTINUED TO ARGUE FOLLOWING THE BELL AS HARDY AND ORTIZ WALKED UP THE RAMP, SLAPPING HANDS WITH EXCITED FANS MOMENTS BEFORE PRIMETIME TOOK THE AIR.

PRIMETIME GOES LIVE

AS PRIMETIME COMES ON THE AIR, IMAGES ARE SHOWN FROM WAR IN THE WINTER AS THE SOUND OF A CAMERA TAKING SNAPSHOTS IS HEARD. THE FIRST IS OF KATIE LEA PINNING GINA CARANO, HANDING DOWN HER FIRST DEFEAT. NEXT, SAMAIEL IS SHOWN EXITING THE HOUSE OF HORRORS, BATTERED AND BRUISED. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY A PICTURE OF JOHN CENA GETTING JOE COREY UP FOR THE "F-U" AND FINALLY, A SHOT OF EDGE LEAVING THE RING WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE.

"RAP SUPERSTAR" THEN BEGINS TO PLAY AS THE PRIMETIME MONTAGE VIDEO RUNS. THE MACKEY ARENA IS SHOWN AND A COMBINATION OF PYROTECHNICS AND SOME VERY LOUD CHEERS KICK THINGS OFF.

Michael Cole: "It is a cold March evening outside here in West Lafayette, Indiana, but inside the Mackey Arena, these TWF fans are ready for the number one wrestling program on television"!

Honky Tonk Man: "And as the dust settles from War in the Winter, we are heading on a collision course with the Royal Rumble! Too bad Damion West wasn't on the mark with his head on collision, if you get my drift"!

"MISERIA CANTARE" BY AFI STARTS UP AND BOOS FILL THE ARENA AS JOE COREY COMES OUT FROM THE BACK AND HE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE IN A VERY GOOD MOOD.

Cole: "Well Edge is still the Universal champion and he will defend that title again tonight in the main event which we will get to momentarily, but we are starting things off with a man who also fell short at War in the Winter"!

HTM: "Go ahead, Michael, keep piling on. Fact is, Joe Corey shouldn't have even been in that match if it wasn't for that idiot Paul Heyman screwing up"!

Cole: "Oh, so he should be the number one contender even though someone beat him one, two, three in the middle of the ring"?!

Joe Corey: "Ya know, for once, do you think you people could shut the hell up?! I came out here because I want to make a clear statement and I don't want to have to talk over anyone".

THE BOOS GET LOUDER AND LOUDER.

Cole: "Yeah, that worked".

Corey: "I know you were all happy about what happened at War in the Winter but fact is, Cena got lucky! Nine times out of ten, I win that match. But I want to make something crystal clear right here and now. If you think that I am gonna be out of the Universal title picture that easily..... you're wrong. And that message goes to Shane McMahon...... the championship committee..... you people..... and whoever else needs to hear it. So make no mistake, I will........

SUDDENLY, COREY's MIC CUTS OUT. HIS LIPS ARE MOVING, BUT NOTHING CAN BE HEARD.

HTM: "What the heck"?

Cole: "There is a God".

HTM: "Typical for a second rate arena like this one to have cheap equipment".

OUT OF FRUSTRATION, COREY THROWS THE MICROPHONE OUT OF THE RING AND LEAVES AS THE CROWD CHEERS AND HECKLES HIM BACK UP THE RAMP.

Cole (laughs): "Well, Corey didn't get a chance to finish his speech, but he did mention the Universal title and right here tonight in our main event..........

A PROMO GRAPHIC FEATURING EDGE AND JOHN CENA STANDING SIDE BY SIDE IN FRONT OF THE PRIMETIME LOGO IS DISPLAYED.

John Cena will try to make good on the number one contendership he obtained at War in the Winter when he challenges Edge"!

BACKSTAGE AREA........

The fans cheer as Lena Yada is shown standing next to Jordan Rockwell who has the Intercontinental title resting on his shoulder.

Lena Yada: "Jordan, tonight you are scheduled to team up with Evan Bourne and CM Punk to take on Scott Steiner, Gregory Helms and Mark Henry in a six man tag team match. My question is, however, do you have any concern teaming with one of the men involved in the tournament to crown the number one contender for your Intercontinental title, which starts tonight"?

Jordan Rockwell: "Concerned, Lena? Fact is, there are several things that I am like. For one, I am Jordan Rockwell or for two I am the Franchise. Third, as you can see, I am the TWF Intercontinental champion but unfortunately for these guys in the tournament and especially for CM Punk, the one thing i am not is concerned because I don't care what size, shape, color, height, weight, religious background you are, if you come looking for this championship.........

Rockwell holds the title up to the camera.........

you will not have an easy time of taking it away from me. So boys, I welcome you all to enter this thing and to win it because much like those guys across from my team tonight, you will get your ass kicked all over the ring, so sayeth the franchise and so it shall come to be".

ROCKWELL WALKS OUT OF THE SHOT AS IT FADES OUT.

COMMERCIAL BREAK...............

RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE......

WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, FINLAY IS IN THE RING HOLDING HIS SHILLELAGH WHILE HIS MUSIC PLAYS.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" BY WITHIN TEMPTATION COMES ON AND BLADE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING.

Cole: "We're back live and before we went to break, Jordan Rockwell made mention of a tournament to crown a number one contender for his Intercontinental title and this will be the first match in that tournament".

HTM: "That's right, it's eight men and it's single elimination. Lose and you're done and if you remember, Cole, Blade has a bit of a score to settle with Finlay".

Cole: "Finlay handed Blade his lone defeat here in the TWF and........

HTM: "And he did it with that shillelagh..... throw that in there"!

#1 Contender for IC Title Tournament- 1st Round

Finlay vs. Blade

As soon as the bell sounded, Blade demanded that referee Mike Enos ask Finlay to set down his shillelagh. When Finlay did, Blade attacked him from behind, hitting him with several shots to the back. He then picked him up for a backdrop suplex but Finlay elbowed him in the head to block it before turning around and clobbering him with a clothesline. After pulling Blade up, Finlay delivered a body slam before jumping on him with a seated senton drop. Blade held his chest and seemed to have the wind knocked out of him as Finlay pulled him up and went for an irish whip but Blade reversed it and then showed his crazy athletic ability, leapfrogging the Irishman before drilling him with a pinpoint dropkick. Blade went on to control the next few minutes of the match, surprisingly taking the fight to Finlay. But when Finlay reversed an irish whip to the corner, Blade tried to sling over him and Finlay caught him on his shoulders, delivering a fireman's carry slam. Finlay went for the cover but Blade was up at 2. After pushing Blade to the corner, Finlay got very physical, punishing him with 3 European uppercuts before Enos backed him away. Blade noticed he was in the same corner Finlay set the shillelagh down in and he grabbed it. But Enos quickly realized it and took it away from him as Finlay charged in. But at the last second, Blade saw him coming in and he sidestepped him, using his own momentum along with an extra shove to send him shoulder first into the steel post. Blade then got Finlay up and delivered a running powerslam he calls "The Slicer" into a cover and he hooked the leg to get the 1.........2.........3!

Match Time: 7:18

Cole: "Oh wow, he got him".

HTM: "Take a look at this, Michael! Blade has just defeated Finlay and advanced in this tournament"!

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" PLAYS AGAIN AND BLADE LEAVES THE RING WITH ONE ARM HELD HIGH IN THE AIR AS HE WALKS BACK UP THE RAMP.

Cole: "I consider it to be at the very least a mild upset but Blade has advanced with a big, big win".

BACKSTAGE......

CAMERAS IN THE BACK CATCH TITO ORTIZ STANDING IN GINA CARANO's WAY, ALMOST PREVENTING HER FROM GETTING PAST HIM.

Gina Carano: "Tito, come on, the match is already made, just let me go".

Tito Ortiz: "Gina, you really have to stop doing stuff without me knowing. I don't think it's a good idea for you to face Katie Lea tonight..... some more training is needed and she already beat you once".

Carano: "Are you serious? She beat me..... because of you".

GINA PUSHES TITO ASIDE AND WALKS OFF HEADED FOR THE RING.

THE SHOT SWITCHES TO THE RING WHERE KATIE LEA IS ALREADY INSIDE WAITING WHEN "TEARS DON'T FALL" BY BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE COMES ON AND GINA CARANO STEPS OUT TO A HUGE RESPONSE.

Cole: "Ya know, I'm sorry, but I have to totally agree with everything Gina Carano just told Tito Ortiz".

HTM: "Well you would, but think about the fact that she wouldn't even be here in the TWF if it wasn't for him opening that door".

Cole: "Well either way, Gina gets her rematch here with Katie Lea and I know she's itching to get that loss back. I talked to her earlier today.... she's a very likeable girl".

HTM: "She'd never go out with you, Cole, forget about it".

Katie Lea vs. Gina Carano

Gina slid into the ring and Katie Lea was on her even before the bell rang. She backed her into the corner and slapped her chest with 2 knifedge chops before grabbing her by the hair. But Gina flung Katie's hands up and caught her with 2 right hands. Katie grabbed her right cheek and got a look of serious anger in her eyes before running in but Gina lifted up with the top rope and put two feet right in her face before catching her with a flying wheel kick. Gina went for the cover but Katie was out at 1 and a half. The ladies continued to trade shots until Carano connected with a spin kick to the midsection. She then ran the ropes but Katie came back with a low kick of her own, setting up a sit down facebuster. Carano was in a lot of trouble as Katie rolled her over and covered her for the 1........2......, but Carano was up. Katie was able to keep her on the mat with a reverse chin lock, trying to soften up the lower back. When Carano wouldn't submit, Katie broke the hold and let her get up, running at her with a clothesline when she did. But Gina ducked that and smashed her with a roundhouse kick that knocked Katie into the corner. Gina then got Katie up on her shoulders and swung her around into a crazy move, driving her face first into the mat. Gina then got down and rolled Katie over as referee Marty Elias got down to make the 3 count, but he could've counted to 300.

Match Time: 6:17

HTM: "What the heck was that"?!

Cole: "It's hard to even describe, but she told me to look for it tonight and that move is called the GC Crush and Katie Lea felt it tonight"!

HTM: "Oh, did she tell you that in the little conversation the two of you had"?

Cole: "She sure did"!

"TEARS DON'T FALL" PLAYED AGAIN AND GINA WENT BACK UP THE RAMP WITH A HUGE SMILE ON HER FACE, SLAPPING HANDS WITH THE CROWD. TITO ORTIZ CAME OUT AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP, APPLAUDING AND WHEN GINA MADE IT UP THERE, HE GAVE HER A HUGE HUG.

HTM: "See, there's her mentor for support".

Cole: "Yeah, what a great guy! He tried to talk her out of this match and now he wants to share in the glory"!

THE SHOT FADES OUT WITH TITO ORTIZ RAISING GINA's HAND AND POINTING TO HER AS THE CROWD CHEERED.

COMMERCIAL BREAK.................

RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE......

WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, LENA YADA IS STANDING IN THE BACK WITH CHERRY.

Lena Yada: "I am here right now with Cherry who.............

Cherry: "Save it, Lena. Before you ask, how could you do what you did to CM Punk..... let me make one thing clear. I am nobody's doormat and I don't need anyone to take care of me, I'm not that kind of girl. So now..... all of you out there can get ready for a brand new Cherry".

CHERRY BRUSHES PAST LENA AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING.

Non-Title/Royal Rumble Qualification Match

Austin Pyromania and Taylor Made vs. Tag Team Champions: Paul Burchill and Harry Smith

With 2 spots in the Royal Rumble match on the line, all 4 of these men did what they could to put their team over the top. Coming off their hard fought win at War in the Winter, Smith and Burchill seemed primed and ready for an upset. Taylor and Pyromania gave the champions all they could handle and without Katie Lea at ringside, they had no one to help. After tossing Harry Smith out of the ring, Pyromania turned to Taylor with a double superkick to put Burchill on the mat. Pyromania then went to the top rope but before he could take to the air, Smith was able to get up on the apron and shove him to the mat. Taylor turned and threw a right hand at Smith which was ducked and Burchill came from behind with a chop block on Taylor. Smith then came into the ring and got Pyro up on his shoulders before delivering the running Bulldog Powerslam, covering him for the win and giving he and Burchill a spot each in the Royal Rumble match.

Match Time: 6:48

ARENA BASEMENT.........

SAMAIEL WAS SHOWN IN A VERY DEEP, DARK AREA OF THE BASEMENT AND HE SEEMED ALMOST IN A TRANCE AS HE SAT ON A STAIRCASE. HE ROSE TO HIS FEET AND BEGAN HEADING UP THOSE STAIRS BUT WHEN HE TURNED THE CORNER, NAILS WAS STANDING AT THE TOP.

Samaiel: "Ah..... if it isn't Jason Vorhees..... oh I'm sorry, wrong guy. So, have you found a partner for tonight"?

Nails: "I don't need one".

Samaiel (laughing): "You're..... you're kidding, right? You don't plan on taking on me and Dockland Destroyer yourself, do you"?

NAILS STARES BACK AT SAMAIEL FOR A MOMENT BEFORE TURNING AND HEADING BACK UP THE STAIRS.

MICHAEL COLE AND THE HONKY TONK MAN ARE SHOWN AT THE PRIMETIME BROADCAST POSITION.

HTM: "Well I guess we're gonna have a handicap match here".

Cole: "Well while we're on the subject of Samaiel, he was involved in one of the most brutal matches we've seen in quite some time in the House of Horrors match at War in the Winter and just to update the condition of Chaos Wolf, he did sustain some very serious injuries in that match and while he refuses to say what those injuries are..... he does say that they will not prevent him from being one of the thirty men in the Royal Rumble match"!

"BULLS ON PARADE" BY RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE PLAYS AND DOCKLAND DESTROYER COMES OUT ALONG WITH THE YARD BOSS TO SOME TREMENDOUS HEAT.

HTM: "And speaking of brutal matches, what about the war between this guy and Nails"?

Cole: "Certainly a match that saw it all and although Dockland Destroyer came out on the losing end, he did send a message to Nails after the match that he wanted more".

"OH NO YOU DIDN'T" BY THE WOJAHN BROTHERS PLAYS NEXT AND SAMAIEL HEADS OUT TO JUST AS MANY BOOS.

HTM: "Well he's good some good help on his side tonight and if Nails goes through with this idea of a handicap match.... he's out of his mind! Oh wait, he doesn't have one of those"!

"LEFT BEHIND" BY SLIPKNOT HITS AND THE FANS BEGIN TO COME TO THEIR FEET FOR THE HOCKEY MASKED FREAK. NAILS APPEARS FROM THE BACK AND HEADS TO THE RING.

Cole: "Well I'd say he's going through with it! One thing that has remained true Nails' entire career is that he backs down from no one"!

HTM: "It's two on one here..... what do you think is gonna happen"?!

Handicap Match

Nails vs. Samaiel and The Dockland Destroyer w/ The Yard Boss

Unable or unwilling to find a partner, Nails came into the ring and started swinging at anything that moved, even taking a swipe at referee Charles Robinson. Samaiel and Dockland Destroyer quickly cornered him and the two one one odds were too much to handle as they overpowered him and began to beat him down. After slowing Nails down, they pulled him up and DD whipped him to the corner before slinging his own partner Samaiel right into him. That led to a double DDT and Dockland Destroyer covered him for a near fall. The fans began to try and rally Nails back into it and suddenly, he began to fight back, trading punches with both men. Before long, he had taken control of the match, hitting both men with right hands before dropping Dockland Destroyer with a headbutt. He then grabbed Samaiel by the back of the head and launched him over the top rope and to the floor before scooping DD up for the "Nail Driver". But The Yard Boss got up on the apron and Nails let go of the Destroyer, making his way for his handler. But this allowed DD to come from behind with an axe handle to the back of the head and after pulling Nails into a short-armed clothesline, Dockland Destroyer made way for Samaiel to return to the ring and deliver the "Hell's Hammer". Samaiel then allowed DD to make the cover and Robinson got down to issue the 3 count.

Match Time: 5:31

HTM: "I told you he was out of his mind to come out here for this match"!

Cole: "Yeah and it wasn't even two on one! Add that goon that comes out here with Dockland Destroyer and it was three on one! But I'll tell you this..... he may be down..... but he's not out! These two guys have not heard the last from Nails"!

COMMERCIAL BREAK.........

RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE......

WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, THE YARD BOSS GIVES SAMAIEL A WAD OF CASH FOR HIS HELP WITH TAKING OUT NAILS. SAMAIEL LET's OUT AN EVIL LAUGH BEFORE WALKING AWAY.

BACK IN THE RING, WILLIAM REGAL IS IN THE RING, ARGUING WITH SOME FANS WHO ARE GIVING IT TO HIM.

"STRONGER" BY KANYE WEST KICKS UP AND DAMION WEST COMES OUT TO A VERY STRONG CHEER.

Cole: "Welcome back to PrimeTime as you take a look at the man who came oh so very close to winning the Universal title at War in the Winter and......

HTM: "Yeah but he didn't! He didn't and that should be the story"!

Cole: "The Universal title is still yet to be decided tonight but right now, High Octane has a very stiff test in the form of William Regal".

HTM: "It's already been a successful night for the U.N. and now the leader of the group has a chance to make it even better".

William Regal vs. "High Octane" Damion West

Regal knew a win over High Octane would propel him up the ladder on PrimeTime and he came out very physical against West, taking away his quickness but keeping him grounded a good part of the match. West, as usual, hung tough and kicked out of pin attempt after pin attempt. Regal had him locked in a double underhook but he somehow slipped free and caught Regal with his superkick. Both men fell back on the mat but West was able to get up and make his way to Regal where he made the cover, but Regal got a foot on the bottom rope to break the count at 2. West got up and hit the ropes but he missed a flying forearm attempt and Regal picked him up, delivering a half nelson german suplex where he dropped West right on the back of his head, folding him up like an accordion. Regal made the cover but West kicked out, the 7th time he had kicked out of a pin in the match. Regal grabbed Octane for a suplex but West got a knee up in his abdomen before kicking him in the back of the right leg twice. West then got up on Regal's shoulders and spun around into a DDT, a terrific move! West covered Regal to get the 1........2.........., but Regal got his right shoulder up at the last second. A great match was going on and the crowd knew it, getting more and more into it by the second. Regal got up and drove his forearm into the face of High Octane a couple more times before going for a running knee. But West avoided it and took Regal down with a back footsweep. Regal got up and Octane grabbed his right arm, shooting him to the ropes. He then went for a hurracanrana but Regal was able to sit straight down, pinning West's shoulders to the mat and grabbing plenty of tights to help secure the 3 count.

Match Time: 8:47

HTM: "That was three! Regal got him"!

Cole: "He had the tights..... check the replay, ref"!

HTM: "What is this, the NFL?! This match is over"!

BOOS FILLED THE ARENA AS REGAL LEFT THE RING AND WALKED UP THE RAMP WITH THE WIN.

Cole: "A tough loss here for Damion West but like it or not, Regal got the win".

HTM: "And like it or not, the United Nations are getting stronger and stronger each passing day"!

BACKSTAGE...... DRESSING ROOM........

SCOTT STEINER IS SHOWN IN HIS DRESSING ROOM LACING HIS BOOTS WHEN CHERRY COMES INTO THE ROOM WEARING A VERY, VERY SKIMPY OUTFIT. YOU COULD BASICALLY SEE STEINER's JAW DROP.

Scott Steiner: "Uh..... I........

Cherry: "Like what you see"?

Steiner: "Hell yeah"!

STEINER REACHES A HAND OUT BUT CHERRY SLAPS IT BACK.

Cherry: "Ah.... you can look, but you can't touch. See, this is what you could've had, if you weren't such a prick..... and who knows..... maybe if you make it up to me..... you'll have your shot again. Better get ready for your match".

CHERRY TURNS AND WALKS AWAY AND STEINER IS ALMOST MESMERIZED AS HE WATCHES HER.

COMMERCIAL BREAK.........

RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE.....

WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS FROM BREAK, JORDAN ROCKWELL IS SHOWN TAPING HIS WRISTS WHEN CM PUNK APPROACHES.

CM Punk: "Rockwell.........

ROCKWELL TURNS TO SEE PUNK WITH HIS HAND STRETCHED OUT AND HE SHAKES IT.

Punk: "I just wanted to say that I hope to win the tournament to face you for the Intercontinental title, because it would be a true honor. But tonight, I just want to focus on being teammates".

Rockwell: "My focus is on the same thing. Oh, and about what Cherry did to you.......

Punk: "Don't worry about it...... I'll see ya out there".

PUNK TURNS AND WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE BROADCAST POSITION.

Cole: "Fans that six man tag team match is coming up momentarily, but during the break, a huge match was announced for the Royal Rumble".

A PROMO GRAPHIC POPS UP FEATURING THE ROYAL RUMBLE LOGO AS WELL AS NAILS AND DOCKLAND DESTROYER WITH A HUGE BALL OF FIRE IN BETWEEN THEM.

HTM: "Well I thought what these two did to each other at War in the Winter couldn't have gotten any worse, but now this"!

Cole: "That's right, at the Royal Rumble, Nails will face the Dockland Destroyer inside an Inferno match and with what went down earlier tonight, more fuel has been added to this fire, no pun intended".

Six Man Tag Team Match

Jordan Rockwell, CM Punk and Evan Bourne vs. Mark Henry, Scott Steiner and Gregory Helms w/ Cherry and Talia

After all the hoopla of 6 exciting entrances, Gregory Helms started the match off with the man that defeated him for the Lightheavyweight title at War in the Winter, Evan Bourne. Helms and Bourne tied up in a collar and elbow and Bourne quickly whipped Helms to the mat with an arm drag. He then ran in and ducked a clothesline before hitting a wonderful standing dropkick. He then tried to use the ring ropes to spring off of but he did it on the wrong side of the ring, catching a right hand from Steiner. Helms then recovered and rocked Bourne with 2 right hands before whipping him to the ropes and delivering a kick to the midsection. Steiner tagged into the match and hit a heavy clothesline on Bourne and quickly, the 180 pounder was in trouble. Steiner dropped a big elbow across his chest before doing some push-ups, which the crowd got on him for. Helms tagged back into the match, wanting another piece of Bourne. After delivering a snap suplex, Helms measured Bourne for the Shining Wizard but Bourne avoided it just in time. He then got up to catch Helms with a dropsault style kick before jumping to his corner to slap the hand of CM Punk. Punk came in and he was all over Helms, catching him with 2 quick punches followed by a backhand to the jaw. After whipping him to the corner, Punk struck Helms with a flying knee right to the face. He then connected with a jumping bulldog, rolling him over into a cover and getting a long 2 count before Henry and Steiner both came in to break it up. But as referee Mickey Henson ordered both men back to their corner, Punk made the switch to the Franchise and Rockwell came in looking to put the finishing touches on Helms. After back to back clotheslines, he locked in the STF and Helms was ready to tap out in the center of the ring before Steiner again came in to break up the pin. About this time, Cherry, still wearing the shocking outfit she showed Steiner earlier in the night, came around and yanked Punk off the apron by his foot. Punk actually gave chase around the ring and ran into a hard clothesline from Henry. But in the ring, Rockwell hit Helms with the "Extreme Measures" before making the tag to Bourne. Bourne went to the top rope but Steiner ran into the ring ropes to knock him down. Rockwell came into the ring and he and Steiner began brawling as Helms slowly crawled over to his corner and tagged in the World's Strongest Man. Henry came in and scooped up Bourne, lifting him high above his head with both arms before driving him into the mat with the "World's Strongest Slam" as Henson got down to register the easy 3 count.

Match Time: 7:44

Cole: "Oh my....... what authority! Evan Bourne might have a broken sternum after that"!

HTM: "We need the proverbial spatula out here to scrape what is left of our Lightheavyweight champion off the mat"!

"SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" BY THREE SIX MAFIA PLAYED AS THE FIVESOME OF HENRY, STEINER, HELMS, CHERRY AND TALIA WALKED UP THE RAMP TO MOSTLY BOOS. IN THE RING, BOTH ROCKWELL AND PUNK SHOWED CONCERNED OVER BOURNE, WHO WAS CLEARLY IN A LOT OF PAIN.

Cole: "I just can't imagine what Evan Bourne is feeling right now, after Henry picked him up with sheer ease and drove al four hundred pounds of muscle into that devastating move"!

HTM: "Now if I'm Gregory Helms, I ask for my rematch as soon as possible"!

CAMERAS GET A SHOT OF THE ARENA FROM THE OUTSIDE AND A HUGE BANNER WITH THE PURDUE BOILERMAKERS LOGO ADORNS A WALL JUST TO THE EAST OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE.

Cole: "We are live in West Lafayette, Indiana and after that huge six man tag, we are now ready for our main event"!

HTM: "Edge staved off High Octane at War in the Winter and once he defeats John Cena tonight, I want it put to rest, Cole! I want you and all the other naysayers out there to admit that Edge is the best in this business"!

"THE TIME IS NOW" COMES ON AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT TO HIS USUAL MIXED RESPONSE, BUT THE CHEERS SEEM TO OUTWEIGH THE BOOS ON THIS NIGHT.

Cole: "John Cena is already a two time Universal champion and his battles with Edge over the year's have been well documented! I doubt tonight will be any different"!

HTM: "If Edge wins this match, in my mind, he should get the Royal Rumble off and not even have to defend the title"!

"METALINGUS" BY ALTER BRIDGE STRIKES UP AND EDGE STEPS OUT OF THE SMOKE FILLED ENTRANCE WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. HE IS GREETED BY STRAIGHT BOOS.

Cole: "And here comes the champion, who you claim to be the best in the world but this crowd here tonight seems to feel differently, partner".

HTM: "Why, cause they're booing? When are you going to stop judging everything that goes on here in the TWF by what these people think?! That's what's wrong with you, Cole"!

Cole: "Maybe because without them, none of us, especially you, would even be employed. But onto more important matters, John Cena is set to challenge Edge here for the Universal title. Referee Mike Chioda is in charge of this one fall match"!

TWF Universal Title Match

Challenger: John Cena vs. Edge

Referee Mike Chioda held the title up for all to see before handing it to the timekeeper before asking for the bell to start the match. Edge and Cena then locked up with Cena gaining the upper hand with a standing side headlock. Edge pushed him to the ropes and shot him to the other side but Cena put him down with a shoulder tackle before landing some hard right hands when he got up. But before much else could occur, Joe Corey hit the ring, wielding a steel chair. He smashed Cena over the head, prompting Chioda to call for the bell. Edge stood over Cena with a smile on his face but Corey turned the chair on him as well, dropping him to the mat after blasting him over the head with it!

Cole: "What the hell is going on here?! Joe Corey has sabotaged our main event"!

HTM: "He started this broadcast by saying he would keep himself in the Universal title picture....... what a way to do that"!

THE FANS POP WHEN "HERE COMES THE MONEY" HITS AND SHANE McMAHON STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK WITH A MICROPHONE.

Shane McMahon: "Real cute, Corey, real cute. I know you think you just made a smart move by destroying Cena and Edge and ya know, I'm actually gonna give you what you want. That's why at the Royal Rumble, we are going to have a triple threat for the Universal title featuring the champion Edge...... John Cena..... and The Show... Joe Corey!
