September 9, 2009
It's been 2 and a half years since the superstars of PrimeTime were in St. Louis, one of the richest wrestling territories in the U.S. The action on this night got kicked off with Uprising but droves of fans filed into the arena with eager for the buildup to MeltDown. Samaiel vs. Matt Hardy The first match out of the box was a very competitive one and the crowd was solidly behind Hardy. He came out and hit a flying clothesline and the Side Effect to put Samaiel near the brink of defeat. But when he went for the "Twist of Fate", Samaiel held onto the top ring rope to block it and a surprised Matt found himself in a schoolboy rollup and Samaiel got a quick pin. Colt Cabana vs. Sami Callahan (invitee) Cabana started very strong in this one, using his innovative offense to sting Callahan, who just looked happy to be there. Cabana scored with a cradle DDT and then a huge elbow drop. But when he got Callahan on his shoulders and attempted an airplane spin, Callahan raked his fingers across his eyes and then delivered a belly to back suplex, dropping him right on his head. Callahan then went to the middle turnbuckle and flew off with a front dropkick but Cabana took a step back to avoid it before grabbing the legs of Callahan and turning him over in a very unique inverted Boston crab. Callahan wasted no time in tapping out. Finlay vs. Chris Masters Looking to make the mark on PrimeTime that he did over on Rampage, The Masterpiece squared off with the Belfast Brawler in Uprising's main event. This was a hard hitting affair that saw Finlay get the upperhand after driving Masters into the mat with a fireman's carry slam. He tried to get him up for the "Celtic Cross", but Masters got free and clubbed Finlay across the back. He then whipped him to the ropes but Finlay ducked his attempt at a swinging double sledge and hit the ropes on the other side, jumping and driving his posterior right into his face. Finlay then whipped Masters to the corner and charged in but he posted his right shoulder very hard when Masters moved out of the way. Finlay then became a prime target for the "Masterlock" which Masters slapped on and wrenched in with all his incredible power. Finlay tried his best to get free, but he finally succumbed as the referee called for the bell, awarding an extremely impressive win to the former 2-time World champion. The fans hastily booed as Masters' music played and he left the ring with both arms raised while the stage crew prepared the stage and the ring for PrimeTime, switching out the ring apron and putting on the signature orange ring ropes. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE
WHEN PRIMETIME TAKES THE AIR, FOOTAGE FROM THE LAST SHOW IS REPLAYED OF JOE COREY ISSUING A CHALLENGE TO THE UNDERTAKER FOR MELTDOWN. THE WORDS "HELL IN A CELL" ECHO AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. LIVE CAMERAS THEN PICK UP A HEARSE ARRIVING AT A CEMETERY. THE HEARSE PULLS UP AND STOPS NEXT TO A VERY OLD, BLACK METAL GATE. THE BLACK AND WHITE OPENING MONTAGE VIDEO FOR PRIMETIME BEGINS TO ROLL WHILE "RAP SUPERSTAR" PLAYS. THE SCOTTRADE CENTER COMES INTO THE SHOT AND PYRO POPS OFF THE SET AS THE CAMERA PANS AROUND THE ELECTRIC CROWD. Michael Cole: "Welcome to TWF PrimeTime live here on FOX and tonight we are live in St. Louis, Missouri..... this crowd is one fire, partner"! Honky Tonk Man: "Before we went on the air, I got one of the loudest, most respectful ovations in a long time and I can't thank these fans enough"! Cole: "Are you sure? Cause I thought they were cheering for the divas that were out here throwing t-shirts into the crowd, but that could just be me". HTM: "Oh shut up, Michael". Cole: "I can see the cheers only getting louder as this night goes on because we have a huge night of action in store"! A PROMO GRAPHIC FEATURING THE PRIMETIME LOGO POPS UP SHOWING JORDAN ROCKWELL AND DOINK THE CLOWN ON ONE SIDE AND SHANE THOMPSON AND EVAN BOURNE ON THE OTHER. HTM: "Two huge singles matches tonight as Jordan Rockwell faces Doink the Clown and Shane Thompson battles Evan Bourne"! Cole: "Evan Bourne who we saw defeat Shane Thompson on the last PrimeTime but most importantly, we found out that Shane McMahon has allowed both Thompson and Rockwell to name the stipulations for one fall each in the three stages of hell match at MeltDown"! HTM: "Thompson will name the first fall, Rockwell will name the second and if a third stage is necessary, that will be decided by Shane McMahon"! Cole: "Those announcements will take place tonight but first, we have tag team action"! "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" BY THREE SIX MAFIA COMES ON AND MARK HENRY COMES OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. HTM: "And speaking of huge announcements, it has been confirmed that Mark Henry will challenge John Morrison for the Intercontinental title at MeltDown, a title Henry has held before". Cole: "This tag team match will showcase two singles matches that have just been signed for MeltDown and we'll get to the other one in a moment but yes, it was Morrison who was able to defeat Mark Henry in the finals of the Intercontinental title tournament and few, if any fans seem to think Morrison can do that again"! BOOS FILL THE SCOTTRADE CENTER WHEN "BREAK DOWN THE WALLS" STARTS UP AND CHRIS JERICHO COMES OUT, MAKING HIS USUAL COCKY ENTRANCE. HTM: "And I'm one of the guys that will buy into that win being a fluke. I don't think Morrison can do it again"! Cole: "Well that remains to be seen at MeltDown but also at MeltDown, this man, Chris Jericho, will face Damion West in one on one action"! "AIN'T NO MAKE BELIEVE" BY STONEFREE EXPERIENCE COMES ON AND JOHN MORRISON COMES OUT TO A VERY GOOD REACTION, HOLDING THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE UP IN HIS RIGHT HAND. HTM: "It's amazing to see how many fans have jumped on the John Morrison bandwagon, especially since most of them were booing him just a few months ago"! Cole: "People can change, partner. Morrison has always had the physical skills but he is creating a connection with the crowd that seems to be making him even better". MORRISON STOPS AT THE END OF THE ENTRANCE RAMP TO WAIT FOR HIS PARTNER. AN ENGINE REVS UP AND LEADS INTO "STRONGER" BY KANYE WEST AND DAMION WEST COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. WEST MAKES HIS WAY DOWN THE RAMP, SLAPPING HANDS WITH THE CROWD WHEN HE SPOTS CANDACE PARKER OF THE WNBA's LOS ANGELES SPARKS. PARKER IS WEARING A "HIGH OCTANE" T-SHIRT AND WEST GIVES HER A HIGH FIVE. Cole: "That's Candace Parker! Do you know who....... HTM: "No and I don't care! I'm ready to call this match and Jericho and Henry look ready to get it started"! Mark Henry and Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison and Damion West Jericho got into the ring and demanded that West start the match off with him. West gladly obliged and the two men locked up. West gained control of the exchange and backed Jericho into a corner before blasting his chest with several knifedge chops. Referee Marty Elias pulled West away to get a seperation and Jericho was able to get a kick into the gut before tossing West into the same corner. He then smashed the chest of West with some chops of his own but when he backed up and flew in knees first, West got out of the way. West came back with a snap suplex before making the tag to Morrison who came in with a flying helo from the apron. He covered Jericho but could only get a 1 count. Shockingly, Morrison challenged Jericho to tag in Henry and he did. Henry came in with a huge smile on his face, ready to pick Morrison apart. But Morrison avoid the lunging World's Strongest Man and began to batter him with kicks to the legs. Henry threw a clothesline that missed and Morrison springboarded off the ring ropes, catching Henry with a reverse roundhouse right to the face. West tagged in and employed the same strategy Morrison did, kicking Henry's legs repeatedly. This process continued for several minutes as Morrison and West tagged in and out 7 more times. The legs of Henry were starting to get knotted up as the team of West and Morrison were making him nearly immobile. West ran the ropes and dropkicked his right knee, dropping him to one knee. He then went to the top rope and jumped off but Henry swatted him right out of the air. Henry then picked West up and threw him into a corner before charging in but West drilled him with the "Head on Collision" as he ran in! Both men were down, but West was able to crawl to his corner and tag the extended hand of Morrison who came in and delivered a his breakdance legdrop right across the throat of Henry. The fans cheered as Morrison made the cover for the 1...............2................, but Jericho came in to make the save. This brought West back into the match and he hit Jericho with 3 hard right hands before clotheslining him over the top rope. When Jericho got to his feet, he flew over the top rope with a plancha to take Y2J down. Meanwhile, Morrison had ascended to the top rope and he flew off, only to be snatched out of mid air by Henry! With a firm grasp of the Intercontinental champion, Henry squeezed with all his might with a bear hug. Morrison quickly began to fade in Henry's tree trunk-like arms and Elias moved in to check on him as West and Jericho continued to brawl on the floor. Elias picked up the right arm of Morrison and let it drop and he had seen enough, calling for the bell. Match Time: 6:14 HTM: "And that's it! Henry has put Morrison out"! Cole: "A good stoppage there by the referee, he could've checked the arm two more times but it was clear Morrison was out of it". "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" PLAYED AGAIN AND HENRY LEFT THE RING AS WEST CAME IN TO CHECK ON MORRISON. JERICHO AND HENRY GOT TO THE TOP OF THE RAMP AND HENRY MOTIONED AROUND HIS WAIST AS IF TO SAY HE'LL WIN THE TITLE AS THE CROWD BOOED. HTM: "We could be looking at the next Intercontinental champion"! Cole: "Both of those matches should be very competitive and they will both go down at MeltDown, which is quickly turning into a huge event! But fans, you don't want to go anywhere, because still to come tonight, Shane Thompson and Jordan Rockwell announce their own choices for the three stages of hell match"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.............. RETURN FROM BREAK....... RINGSIDE...... WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, RICKY ORTIZ IS IN THE RING AND IT APPEARS HE IS TRYING TO PITCH SOMETHING TO THE CROWD. Cole: "Does he really have toothpaste"? HTM: "Let's just listen, it might be something that could help you out, Cole"! RICKY ORTIZ IS HOLDING UP A SMALL RED AND BLUE BOX AND THE CROWD IS BOOING HIM HEAVILY. Ricky Ortiz: "Like I said, guys, just try "Ricky O's Shiny Smile", you won't be disappointed. And for just nineteen dollars and nineteen cents, it can be yours. These are gonna be distributed all over the world..... so who wants to come in here and test it out"? ORTIZ STARTS LOOKING AROUND THE CROWD BUT HE DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY TAKERS. JUST THEN, SYLVESTER TERKAY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS. Cole: "Oh boy...... I have a feeling this isn't what he was looking for"! HTM: "Well who knows, maybe Ricky Ortiz can get the Manbear to be his first customer"! TERKAY GETS INTO THE RING AND SWATS THE TOOTHPASTE OUT OF ORTIZ's HAND. ORTIZ GOES DOWN TO PICK IT UP AND WHILE HE's DOWN THERE, HE LOW BLOWS TERKAY. Cole: "Uh..... that probably wasn't a good idea". Ricky Ortiz vs. Sylvester Terkay With an early advantage, Ortiz got in some early offense before opening the box of toothpaste and pulling out the tube. Ortiz yelled "I'm gonna ram it down his throat". But when he turned around, Terkay got up and kicked Ortiz straight it the mouth, knocking him senseless. From there, Terkay pulled him up and delivered a devastating Heart Punch, covering him for the very quick win. Match Time: 1:41 Cole: "Wow...... I think Ortiz may have just swallowed some teeth instead"! HTM: "A very easy win for Terkay and if you ask me, Ricky Ortiz might want to stick to trying to become the next Billy Mays"! JUST THEN, VLADIMIR KOZLOV's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT AND STANDS AT THE TOP OF THE STAGE, LOCKING EYES WITH TERKAY. Cole: "Vladimir Kozlov has come out here and we saw this on the last PrimeTime". HTM: "Well I don't know about you, but that is a brawl I would pay to see"! Cole: "What does the Moscow Mauler have against the Manbear?! To me, it seems Kozlov wants to prove he's the biggest and baddest and Terkay coming over here in the draft somewhat threatens that". PARKING GARAGE.......... BLADE IS SHOWN IN THE PARKING GARAGE IN STREET CLOTHES. HE IS PACING BACK AND FORTH, POPPING HIS KNUCKLES. BACKSTAGE AREA............ LENA YADA IS SHOWN WITH CM PUNK WHO HAS HIS ARM IN A SLING. Lena Yada: "I am here with CM Punk who was scheduled to compete tonight but apparently a shoulder injury will keep you from doing that"? CM Punk: "Yes, Lena, it's very unfortunate because I thrive on going out there and competing but the doctor is just not ready to clear me". Lena Yada: "When did this injury come about"? Punk: "I had a match on Uprising against Samaiel and.... what the heck"? JUST THEN, COLT CABANA COMES UP. Colt Cabana: "Dude, seriously? An injury? What are you afraid of man, I've never known you to fake an injury". CM Punk: "Fame an injury?! What the hell is your problem"? Cabana: "Don't listen to this guy, Lena..... I've known him for a long time..... he just..... he's just not a real honest guy". WITH THAT, COLT CABANA WALKS OFF AND CM PUNK LOOKS STUNNED AT HIS COMMENTS. Rene Dupree w/ Paul Burchill and Katie Lea vs. Austin Pyromania w/ Taylor Made After being handed one half of the TWF Tag Team championship, Rene Dupree wanted to show his tag team partner Paul Burchill and his sister Katie Lea that they'd made a good choice. But Pyromania got off to a very quick start and was determined to send the Frenchman to a defeat. After a swinging neckbreaker, Pyromania pulled Dupree up and shot him to the ropes for a perfect dropkick. He went for a cover but could only get a 2 count before Dupree was up. Pyromania went for another irish whip but Dupree reversed it and then showed some of his own athleticism with a nice leapfrog. He then dropped to his back looking to catch Pyromania with a monkey flip but Pyro grabbed his feet and spun him around before dropping a corkscrew legdrop across his chest. Pyromania then made a sudden turn and slid out of the ring, dropping Burchill with a right hand. He then got to the apron as Katie Lea rushed over and he launched himself into the ring using the ropes but Dupree got out of the way. Dupree then performed the familiar 'French Tickler' dance, which drew some of the loudest boos of the evening. He then ran the ropes and went for an elbow drop that missed everything. When Dupree got up, Pyromania grabbed him from behind, looking for a german suplex but Dupree used a standing switch to set up a cobra clutch. He had it locked in good and tight and Pyromania didn't seem to have a way out. Taylor Made got up on the apron but Burchill ran over and yanked him off, dropping him with a clothesline. In the ring, Pyromania was able to back Dupree into a corner to break the hold before coming up with a jumping roundhouse to the head that dropped Dupree. Pyro then pulled Dupree to the center of the mat by both legs and locked in a Texas Cloverleaf. Dupree was in a lot of trouble when Burchill got on the apron but ready to give him a receipt, Taylor ran over and pulled him off the apron, smashing him with a right hand. But this drew referee Mike Enos over and allowed Katie Lea to come in and jump on the back of Pyromania, forcing him to release the hold. She had her fingers dug in the eyes of Pyro but he was able to fling her over his head, slamming her to the mat. But Dupree came from behind with a lowblow which led to the "French Bomb" from Dupree and he covered Pyromania, hooking the inside leg for the win. Match Time: 5:08 BURCHILL AND DUPREE LEFT WITH THEIR TAG TEAM BELTS AND KATIE LEA HELD HER BACK, STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF BEING SLAMMED TO THE MAT BEFORE THE SHOW WENT TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK............... RETURN FROM BREAK.... PARKING GARAGE...... WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, BLADE IS SHOWN IN THE PARKING GARAGE ONCE AGAIN AND HE SEEMS TO BE GROWING INCREASINGLY FRUSTRATED WHEN SAMAIEL COMES UP. Blade: "What the hell do you want"? Samaiel: "Well, is that a way to talk to someone who is here to help"? Blade: "What do you want"? Samaiel: "I know you're out here waiting for Nails, but speaking from experience, you might want to be careful. So, I thought I'd offer you my..... services....... for a price of course". Blade: (pausing for a moment) "I got it". BLADE GIVES SAMAIEL THE ANSWER IN A VERY MATTER OF FACT MANNER AND SAMAIEL JUST WALKS AWAY BEFORE THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. EVAN BOURNE's MUSIC PLAYS AND HE BURSTS OUT FROM THE BACKSTAGE AREA TO A VERY GOOD CHEER. HTM: "Do you think Nails is gonna show up, Cole"? Cole: "Whether he will or not is up in the air, but I do think Blade will regret it if he does". "FULLY ALIVE" BY FLYLEAF HITS AND SHANE THOMPSON COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. HTM: "Why are you so sure about that? Blade just turned down help in taking out Nails". Cole: "Maybe he's broke? Anyway, here comes Shane Thompson who we understand will name the stipulation for the very first stage at MeltDown in the three stages of hell match for the vacant Universal title but first, he's gotta beat a guy who has already proven he can beat him". HTM: "Yes, but make sure to throw in the fact that Jordan Rockwell provided the help he needed to win that match". Cole: "Rockwell is set to battle Doink the Clown later tonight but you can bet that somewhere within the Scottrade Center, he has his eyes on this one". Shane Thompson vs. Evan Bourne The bell sounded and Bourne walked right up to Thompson, slapping him across the face, the same way Thompson started their last encounter. An angered Thompson pulled his right hand back and threw a punch but Bourne avoided it and then countered with a big hip toss. Thompson quickly got up, only to find himself on the receiving end of a dropkick. Bourne stayed on him with a quick legdrop before hitting the ropes for a low dropkick to the rib cage. Stunned, Thompson rolled out of the ring trying to regroup but Bourne bounced off the ring ropes on the far side and launched himself over the top rope, looking to land on Thompson. At the last second, Thompson moved out of the way to avoid him and Bourne landed very hard on the floor, hurting his arm in the process. Thompson rolled Bourne into the ring and began to slowly pound away at him as a split screen replay showed Bourne landing dangerously on his right arm trying to brace his fall. Thompson worked on the arm of Bourne, pulling it and trying to dislodge it from the socket. He then slapped on a Fujiwara armbar and Bourne looked ready to tap out, but out of desperation he wheeled left leg over to the bottom ring rope. But Thompson pulled him back to the center of the ring and stayed on the arm, driving his knee into the point of his elbow 3 times. Bourne screamed in pain as Thompson worked him into the corner and slapped his chest with some backhand chops. After a snap mare, Thompson kicked Bourne in the square of the back and he had taken firm control of the match. Bourne struggled to get to his feet and Thompson just belted him with kicks to the body when he did before throwing a superkick but Bourne ducked and came up with a Pele kick out of nowhere. The crowd was suddenly back in it as it seemed Bourne still had a chance. Thompson got up and Bourne launched an offensive of kicks to the body before drilling him with a jumping spin kick to the jaw. Thompson was down in the center of the ring as Bourne went to the outside of the ring, looking for the shooting star press. But Thompson could sense it was coming and he got to his feet, falling into the ropes which crotched Bourne on the top turnbuckle. From there, Thompson climbed up the turnbuckle and threw Bourne off with a Frankensteiner and unfortunately for Bourne, he landed on his right arm and shoulder again. Like a shark smelling blood, Thompson ran over and put the Fujiwara armbar on again. This time, there was no escape for Bourne and he had to tap out. Match Time: 8:57 HTM: "That's it, ring the bell...... he's tappin' like a drunk man near closing time"! Cole: "The injured arm of Evan Bourne just will not allow him to continue here and Thompson was able to exploit it"! "FULLY ALIVE" PLAYED AGAIN AS THOMPSON HAD HIS ARM RAISED BEFORE HE WAS GIVEN A MICROPHONE. HTM: "And now we get to find out what the first stage of hell will be"! Shane Thompson: "Some of you may already know that there is something I have been training for lately along with my wrestling, but it hasn't been reported on any of those crappy internet sites. I can't believe some of the stuff I read on there. No, this is something that, if I must say so myself, I find almost more rewarding that what I have done for years here on PrimeTime. Rockwell...... when I found out we got to name our own stipulations for the three stages of hell match at MeltDown.... my eyes lit up. So at MeltDown, the first stage of hell will be a Mixed Martial Arts match"! THOMPSON SLOWLY SETS THE MICROPHONE DOWN ON THE MAT AS "FULLY ALIVE" PLAYS. Cole: "A what? Did you know he was training for that"?! HTM: "Yes I did and I know who he has been training with and let me just say this...... Jordan Rockwell has no idea what he's getting himself into with that one"! Cole: "Well I must say, I wasn't expecting that but it is the choice of Shane Thompson.... a very unique one at that". KEVIN THORN AND ARIEL ARE SHOWN IN AN UNKNOWN LOCATION. THE SEGMENT SEEMS TO BE PRE-RECORDED. SEVERAL CANDLES ARE LIT IN THE ROOM AND ARIEL IS HOLDING A RED ROSE. Ariel: "John Cena..... you have made a grave mistake getting involved in our dealings with the lovely Maria. Tonight, the two of you will have to find out what happens when you get on the bad side of the Requiem". ARIEL BEGINS TO SEDUCTIVELY STROKE THE ROSE ACROSS THORN's FACE. Kevin Thorn: "And once our business is complete in that ring tonight, once I have disposed of John Cena....... Ariel and I will continue where we left off with Maria". BACK IN THE RING, "EX's AND OH's" BY ATREYU IS PLAYING AND PJ CASH IS IN THE RING. HE IS WEARING HIS OWN T-SHIRT AND A PAIR OF LIGHT BLUE JEANS. PJ Cash: "Stop the music. THE BOOS OF THE CROWD ARE VERY EVIDENT ONCE THE MUSIC STOPS. As you can see, I'm not dressed to compete tonight. No, I was given the night off from the ring, so I'm in the back, minding my own business when I notice something. Camera man..... go ahead, put her on camera again.... you already felt the need to do it once". Cole: "What's he talkin' about"? Cash: "Come on camera man, is it that hard to do your job....... do I need to show you how to do it"? CASH LEAVES THE RING AND GOES UP TO ONE OF THE CAMERA MEN, FORCING HIM TO PUT CANDACE PARKER ON CAMERA. There..... right there! There she is. If it isn't the WNBA superstar herself, Candace Parker". Cole: "Not this again". PJ Cash: "So, tell the good fans here, Candace, what brings you here tonight? Did you guys know that this was the first female to ever dunk a basketball in an NCAA game"? THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS AND CASH THEN PUTS THE MICROPHONE UP TO CANDACE. Candace Parker: "Well, I'm from right here in the Show Me State and I came back to visit some friends. Sheldon and I decided to come check PrimeTime out tonight, if you must know, and we're having a great time"! Cole: "Alright"! PJ Cash: "Ah yes, if it isn't your boyfriend, Sheldon Williams. Isn't this the guy........... WILLIAMS, SITTING NEXT TO PARKER, STANDS UP IN HIS FRONT ROW SEAT, ALL 6 FEET 9 INCHES OF HIM. Well aren't you just a tall drink". WILLIAMS GRABS THE MICROPHONE OUT OF CASH's HAND. Sheldon Williams: "Look, punk..... we've been watching the show and we know what you're out here doing.... so save it..... before you get yourself into trouble". A UNISON "OOOOOOOOOOOH" COMES FROM THE CROWD AS CASH JUST PUTS HIS HANDS UP AND BEGINS TO WALK AWAY. BUT AS SHELDON AND PARKER BEGIN TO SIT DOWN, CASH GRABS A NEARBY STEEL CHAIR AND RUNS BACK OVER, SMASHING THE NBA STAR RIGHT IN THE HEAD! Cole: "Oh my God..... you gotta be kidding me"! HTM: "He just struck that guy in with the chair! Who's been watchin' the show now, punk"?! Cole: "Oh come on! Certainly you can't condone this behavior! NBA player or not, PJ Cash just struck a fan with a steel chair! Maybe we oughta get Ron Artest in here too! PJ Cash should be jailed as far as I'm concerned"! AS CASH LEFT TO SOME DEAFENING BOOS, EMTs WERE CHECKING ON SHELDON WILLIAMS AS A VERY CONCERNED CANDACE PARKER LOOKED ON, ALMOST IN TEARS. COMMERCIAL BREAK.................... RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE...... WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, PJ CASH IS WALKING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE. JUST THEN, CHAOS WOLF COMES UP. PJ Cash: "Heh, can I help you"? Chaos Wolf: "You can start by explaining why you choose to come out each and every week and attack any celebrity that comes to our shows. And you can save the crap about how celebrities cost you your match at WrestleMania, because the only reason you lost that match is because you are a loser". PJ Cash: "You want an explanation? How about this"? WITH THAT, CASH POPS WOLF WITH A RIGHT HAND. WOLF RESPONDS WITH ONE OF HIS OWN AND THE FIGHT IS ON. BACK AND FORTH THEY GO UNTIL OFFICIALS RUSH IN TO SEPERATE THE TWO MEN. THE SHOT THEN GOES OUT TO THE PARKING GARAGE AND CAMERAS HAVE PICKED UP THE ARRIVAL OF NAILS. BLADE IS SHOWN, READY TO ATTACK AS NAILS APPOACHES, DRAGGING A FIRE POKER ALONG THE PAVEMENT. THE SCREECHING NOISE OF THE METAL DRAGGING ON THE GROUND GROWS LOUDER AS NAILS GETS CLOSER BUT WITH THAT, BLADE RUSHES HIM AND ATTACKS BEFORE NAILS CAN PICK THE FIRE POKER UP. BLADE IS BEATING NAILS SENSELESS AFTER KNOCKING HIM TO THE GROUND AFTER HITTING HIM IN THE RIGHT LEG WITH HIS BASEBALL BAT. FROM THERE, BLADE PICKS HIM UP AND THROWS HIM OVER A PARKED CAR AND NAILS IS DOWN AND OUT. THE SHOT RETURNS TO THE RINGSIDE AREA AND THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA GO OUT. A RED HAZE FALLS OVER THE SCOTTRADE CENTER WHEN "MI DESTROYERO" COMES ON AND KEVIN THORN MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING ALONG WITH ARIEL. THORN IS CARRYING HIS WALKING STICK AND ARIEL HAS A BLACK HOODED CAPE ON. Cole: "Things are starting to get out of control inside and outside the Scottrade Center here tonight, partner, and was it just me, or did it seem like Nails wasn't really himself just a minute ago"? HTM: "I knew Nails would be making a big mistake tonight showing up to fight Blade and as we just saw, it didn't go his way"! Cole: "As Kevin Thorn and Ariel approach the ring, we have a mixed gender tag team match on the way and earlier tonight, Thorn and Ariel both seemed to have some strong words for John Cena". "MY TIME IS NOW" PLAYS AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT TO A MOSTLY FAVORABLE REACTION, PROBABLY IN LARGE PART DUE TO THE FACT THAT MARIA IS WITH HIM. HTM: "Well Cena decided to interject himself in another situation that didn't involve him and now he's made the Requiem mad". Cole: "Maria picked him as her partner a few weeks back, what was he supposed to do"? HTM: "The Requiem seems to want to get their hands on Maria so in order to do that, they're gonna have to take Cena out of the equation". Cole: "Wait a minute, here comes the rest of the group..... Gangrel and Drusus are making their way to the ring"! DRUSUS AND GANGREL CAME OUT TO RINGSIDE, EACH STANDING ON ONE SIDE OF THE RING. CENA TOLD MARIA TO GET OUT OF THE RING AND JUST THEN, GANGREL AND DRUSUS GOT INTO THE RING. CENA DID HIS BEST TO FIGHT THEM BOTH OFF BUT THORN CAME FROM BEHIND AND HIT CENA IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD WITH HIS WALKING STICK. SEEING THIS, MARIA DECIDED TO GET OUT OF HARMS WAY, RUNNING UP THE RAMP AND INTO THE BACKSTAGE AREA. IN THE RING, THORN PICKED CENA UP AND DELIVERED HIS CRUCIFIX POWERBOMB BEFORE "MI DESTROYERO" CAME ON AGAIN. THE REQUIEM THEN SURROUNDED THE FALLEN CENA AND LOOKED DOWN AT HIM. HTM: "It looks like Cena has been taken out of the equation, Michael"! Cole: "Kevin Thorn has left Cena laying after hitting him with that walking stick again and good thing for Maria, she got out before it got worse"! HTM: "The Requiem has sent a serious message here and hopefully for Cena, he quits while he can still walk"! THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE CEMETERY THAT WAS SHOWN IN THE OPENING AND JOE COREY COMES INTO THE SHOT. Joe Corey: "Expecting someone else? (pauses) Twenty years. For twenty years people have been being intimidated by The Undertaker. This cemetery, it represents everything that people fear about him. The darkness, the unpredictability, the creepiness, it is all reminiscent of The Undertaker. But let me tell you something Deadman, I don't intimidate that easy. That is why I am taking the fight to you, in your own match. That is the reason that brings me here tonight. If you are going to take down a demon, you need to exercise it from your life. I am going to go one step further, I am going to exercise you from the entire TWF. And to do that, I need to come to your playground, get familiar with your surroundings. This place here, this cold, dreary cemetery, is just like the cold, emotionless soul that you have, and oh yes, you have one. But this is about more than just you. There are people out there who think "The Show" has lost a step. Maybe that is true, but come MeltDown, I am going to be taking two steps forward. I am going to remind the world just who I am. I am the man who held the King of Cable longer than anyone had before him. I am the man who has been both a Rookie and a Wrestler of the Year. I am a former World Champion, and dammit I am going to be one again. That there is all step one. The other step is to claim my place in history. I am going to be remembered forever as the man who finally ended the career of The Undertaker. Many have tried and failed, but that will not happen this time. I am going to end the age of the Phenom, and enter the TWF into the Age of "The Show". I am not afraid of you Deadman, and I am not afraid of death. That is the reason I am here, because I spit on your powers. You want to kill me, I am ready for you.
Corey grabs a shovel and jumps into a large hole.
This here is my cemetery plot. I am digging it myself, because I just don't care. When I die, I will be laid here. And the best part, is that they forever will be able to see my legacy. But don't worry Deadman, because after Meltdown, we will be linked together for eternity, you son of a bitch".
Corey goes back to shoveling as the camera pans up to a tombstone. It reads "The Show" Joe Corey... 10/29/1984-???... The man who ended The Undertaker. COMMERCIAL BREAK........... RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE....... Non-Title Match Carney vs. Lightheavyweight Champ: Kenny Doane The action in this match was very fast paced and even though the title was not on the line, Carney went at Doane like it was. After getting the best of Doane early in the match, Carney was able to gain a very near fall following a crossbody block off the top rope. Doane rolled outside the ring to catch a break but Carney followed, coming off the apron with a flying front flip attack, slamming into Doane. Both men were slow to get to their feet and Carney whipped Doane into the ring apron again before rolling him into the ring. But as Doane pulled referee Charles Robinson away, Super Crazy came running out from the back and attacked Carney. After hitting him in the back of the head, Crazy rolled him into the ring and Doane scored with a low dropkick to the left temple. Doane made a cover but Carney kicked out at 2. Doane was in control for the next few minutes of the match and after whipping Carney to the ropes and catching him with a textbook powerslam, Doane got up and yelled "It's over! drawing several boos. Doane picked Carney up and was looking to hit his rolling reverse neckbreaker but Carney escaped and kicked the right kneecap of Doane. He then went for a flying calf kick but he took out Robinson when Doane ducked. With the referee down, Carney and Doane traded punches as Super Crazy went and grabbed the Lightheavyweight title belt and brought it into the ring. He ran at Carney, who had his back turned, but Carney felt him coming and moved out of the way. Super Crazy struck Doane with his own title and a dropkick from Carney knocked Crazy through the ropes and to the floor! From there, Carney got Doane up and drove him into the mat with the "C-Drive", hooking the leg as Robinson recovered to make a very slow 3 count! Match Time: 5:48 Cole: "He got him! Carney has pinned the Lightheavyweight champion"! HTM: "That was a terrible mistake by Super Crazy! He'll be lucky to be a part of the Doane-ation after that"! Cole: (laughing) "Yeah that Doane-ation, would be down to just one guy if that was the case"! BACKSTAGE AREA........... IN THE BACK, LENA YADA IS WITH CHAOS WOLF, WHO STILL SEEMS VERY FIRED UP. Lena Yada: "Chaos Wolf, I just saw you come out of Shane McMahon's office. What were you talking about"? Chaos Wolf: "I just went to Shane and got a match with that punk PJ Cash at MeltDown! And since he likes celebrities so much, I am going to have a very special celebrity in my corner"! WOLF WALKS AWAY AND AS HE DOES, JOHN CENA COMES UP AND HE SEEMS A LITTLE ANGRY. John Cena: "And he's not the only one who just got a match for MeltDown. Kevin Thorn, you want to attack me with your freaky walking stick, you want to drink blood and act like Dracula, that's fine. But at MeltDown, I'm gonna take the sun and shine it right on your face! In Arizona, there will be a MeltDown...... you and the rest of your vampire friends will feel what it's like to get on the bad side of someone who just doesn't care! You wanted a war...... you've got a war"! A CIRCUS THEME LEADS INTO DOINK THE CLOWN's MUSIC AND HE COMES OUT TO PLENTY OF BOOS AS EVIL, HECKLING LAUGHS CONTINUE THROUGH HIS ENTRANCE THEME. DOINK GOES OVER TO A YOUNG FAN AND OFFERS TO SHAKE HIS HAND. WHEN THE FAN TRIES, A FAKE HAND COMES OFF AND DOINK BEGINS TO LAUGH HYSTERICALLY. Cole: "Ya know, MeltDown is turning into a can't miss event". HTM: "I'm sitting here trying to figure out who Chaos Wolf is bringing to MeltDown...... the Wolfman? Or maybe, he'll get somebody from that movie Silver Bullet..... remember that one"?! Cole: "Right after this match, Jordan Rockwell will announce his stipulation for the three stages of hell match at MeltDown, but we all know what kinds of problems Doink the Clown has presented for him". HTM: "I was just gonna say the same thing. He won't be making any announcements if Doink the Clown knocks him out"! "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO STARTS UP AND JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP, PROBABLY THE LOUDEST OF THE NIGHT, BEFORE MAKING HIS WAY TO THE RING. Cole: "We've already heard that Shane Thompson has selected a Mixed Martial Arts fight for the first stage of hell but what will the second be"? Doink the Clown vs. Jordan Rockwell Right as the bell sounded, Doink the Clown reached into his jacket pocket, probably to pull one of his pranks, but Rockwell smashed him with a right hand. After pulling his jacket over his head, Rockwell just teed off on Doink, showing a very aggressive side. Doink tried to pick himself up after being knocked to the mat in the corner and referee Mike Chioda asked Rockwell to back up. Doink finally got his jacket off and stood up in the corner but Rockwell grabbed him from behind, trying to german suplex him. But Doink blocked it by holding the ropes and with Chioda in a position he couldn't detect it, Doink used a mule kick to drop Rockwell to his knees after the shot to the groin. Doink then put him down with a DDT before getting on him and driving several stiff elbows into his face. Doink got up, laughing some more, but when he ran at Rockwell, the Franchise used a drop toe hold to set up the STF. Rockwell had it in good but a little too close to the ropes and Doink was able to reach out and grab the bottom one to earn a break. Rockwell grabbed the feet of the clown and pulled him to the center of the ring but Doink rolled over to his back and poked Rockwell right in the eye. He then got up and delivered a nice swinging neckbreaker. From there, Doink went to the outside of the ring and climbed to the top rope. The fans yelled for Rockwell to get up as a huge upset was just moments away. Doink jumped off with the "Whoopie Cushion" but Rockwell rolled out of the way and Doink hit the mat very hard. Rockwell then waited for him to get up and when he did, BOOM, he hit "Extreme Measures" on him and covered him, hooking the leg for the 3 count! Match Time: 5:09 Cole: "Jordan Rockwell is rollin' into MeltDown"! HTM: "He made quick work of Doink tonight, but I guarantee it's not gonna be that easy against Shane Thompson"! VERY MUCH OUT OF BREATH, ROCKWELL PUTS A MICROPHONE UP TO HIS MOUTH. Jordan Rockwell: "An MMA fight, huh Shane? That's a good one...... but I think I can do you one better. The second stage of hell is going to be Last...... Man...... Standing"! THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERS AS "SAVE ME" PLAYS AGAIN. Cole: "A last man standing match?! What's gonna be left if there has to be a third stage"?! "HERE COMES THE MONEY" PLAYS AND SHANE McMAHON COMES OUT ON STAGE AND HE HAS A MICROPHONE IN HAND. Shane McMahon: "Hmmm, I must say, interesting choice, Rockwell. In fact, I considered doing that very same thing for the third stage. But, if it's necessary, I figured I would have to come up with a brutal, physically demanding match. And guess what? Neither one of you is gonna know what it is...... unless it's necessary". "HERE COMES THE MONEY" PLAYS AGAIN AND SHANE HEADS TO THE BACK. Cole: "Wow, what a match that's gonna be"! HTM: "We know that we will see an MMA fight and a Last Man Standing match....... but if that third fall is necessary, we won't know what it is until right when they have to do it"! Cole: "MeltDown has all the makings to be the biggest one of all time! We hope you're ready"! OFF AIR..................
