PYRO CASCADES OFF THE PRIMETIME SET AS CAMERAS OPEN THE SHOT INSIDE A WILD 1ST MARINER CENTER. MICHAEL COLE WELCOMES THE VIEWING AUDIENCE.
Michael Cole: "At one point it seemed I might not ever get a chance to say this again but welcome to TWF PrimeTime and as we get this thing rolling again, I am very pleased to introduce you all to my brand new broadcast partner!"
THE CAMERA PANS OVER TO SHOW JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD IN A NICE SUIT. HE HAS HIS TRADEMARK GRIN AND IS WEARING A HEADSET.
JBL: "During the TWF's hiatus I was asked to come to you all and replace Scott Hudson because... well because he was weird! It's not the only change here on PrimeTime, Michael, wait until you see our new backstage interviewer."
Cole: "This is going to be a huge show here tonight as Travis Wakeman is scheduled to address the crowd!"
JBL: "We don't know why he and Money Mike threw down on Rampage and worse yet... we don't even know a thing about this TWF Network."
Cole: "We hope to be able to answer that question tonight and we also have M.X. Ogden defending the Intercontinental title against Kofi Kingston."
"BARBIE GIRL" BY AQUA COMES ON AND A PINK CORVETTE PULLS OUT ONTO THE STAGE. BOOS FOLLOW AS KEN DOLL GETS OUT OF THE VEHICLE WITH THE LOVELY LACEY VON ERICH.
JBL: "Are they serious?! Nine months with no PrimeTime and the best you can come up with to start the show is this fruit booty?!"
Cole: "Like him or not and it seems most fans don't, this guy was as hot as anyone last year on this show and he looks like he's in even better shape now!"
JBL: "Well I'll give him one thing, he's got good taste in women... but I wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit he's got on!"
"WOO WOO WOO.... YOU KNOW IT" LEADS INTO "OH RADIO" AS ZACK RYDER COMES OUT TO A MASSIVE CHEER.
Cole: "Zack Ryder will be the opponent tonight and listen to this reaction....
JBL: "He's the definition of an internet darling, Michael... he's even created his own internet championship, but Zack Ryder could start off the 2013 year on PrimeTime with a win and that would do wonders for him."
Ken Doll w/ Lacey Von Erich vs. Zack RyderRyder does a go behind into a belly to back suplex then drops a leg on Doll and goes for the pin but only gets a one count. Ryder goes for another go behind but Doll reverses it this time into an Irish whip and takes Ryder down with a pinning powerslam but only gets a two count. As Doll picks him up, Ryder pulls free and levels him with a neck breaker and puts him into a camel clutch. Doll fights out of it and falls backward onto the mat onto Ryder. He pulls him up and goes for an Irish whip but Ryder reverses, sending him into the corner instead chest first and runs in for a dropkick but misses and hits the mat hard. As Doll picks him up, he shoves him into the turnbuckle and steps back a few feet and runs, going for a splash, but Ryder gets his boot up and quickly tosses Doll into the corner and runs at him, hitting him with a running forearm which sends Doll out groggily. Ryder then drops him with the Rough Ryder for the pin.
Match Time: 3:46
Cole: "Wow... who saw that coming?"
JBL: "Look at the look on Ken Doll's face! The expression is almost as bad as it is on the actual toy"!
Cole: "Zack Ryder has pulled off a huge win... maybe this is a sign of things to come for him!"
RYDER SLAPS HANDS WITH FANS AS HE CELEBRATES THE WIN, GETTING THEM TO "FIST PUMP" WITH HIM AS "OH RADIO" PLAYS AGAIN.
AFTER A BRIEF BREAK, TRAVIS WAKEMAN COMES OUT FROM THE BACK. HE IS DRESSED IN A PLAIN WHITE T-SHIRT AND SOME LOOSE FITTING BLUE JEANS. HE IS GREETED BY A STRONG OVATION.
JBL: "Here comes Mr. Wakeman... this is the man who called me about this job and I have to say, I'm interested in what he has to say here."
Cole: "I think we all are."
Travis Wakeman: "Thank you... thank you guys for that. It's always nice to be appreciated, even if it did look like the TWF wouldn't be around anymore. I have to admit, even I thought it was over. So I wanted to come out here and be honest..... shoot straight with you guys because I know you have questions and as long time followers of this product, you deserve answers. The truth is, I had my eyes opened just before Deadly Games. I knew we were in trouble, I just didn't know how to go about it. The day of Deadly Games, I was given word that both the USA and FOX networks were cancelling our TV deals. Despite the fact that we were the number one show on both stations, they were taking us off. So I thought, what the hell? There has to be something wrong. Well I got to the bottom of it and while I may never know exactly what was said... I know who was responsible for it... Money Mike."
Cole: "What?"
Travis Wakeman: "That's right. Mike and I came up with The Empire together, but what I didn't realize is that he went and did many things behind my back... things like getting a registered trademark to the name Empire... so that he could use it for his own. Now if my gut is correct, Mike wanted to create his own brand from within and destroy the TWF but when he realized that wasn't going to work, he did whatever he did to end the TWF. Mike never cared about me... and he never cared about any of you. So how did the TWF Network come to fruition? Let's just say I was able to put together a fool proof deal. So this is where we are now... there are no more sponsors.... there are no more TV networks and there are no more censors! We are here to do whatever the hell we want to and I really hope you guys enjoy it. I don't know what the future holds for me, whether it be inside this ring or in the back making sure things run smoothly, I will do whatever is best for this company, as I always have. In the meantime, I will be searching for a governing body to call the shots on both Rampage and PrimeTime, whether that be one person or a group of people. The TWF will be bigger and better than ever before... you can count on that.
WAKEMAN GOES TO LEAVE THE RING BUT STOPS AND LOOKS DIRECTLY INTO THE CAMERA.
Oh and one other thing... Mike, I know you're not gonna go away that easily. I'll be looking forward to your rebuttal."
WAKEMAN HANDS THE MICROPHONE BACK TO RING ANNOUNCER HOWARD FINKEL BEFORE LEAVING THE RING TO A STANDING OVATION AND CHANTS OF "TWF".
Cole: "Well... that sure cleared the air."
JBL: "Shocking statement from the owner of the TWF and as far as I'm concerned, Money Mike is now public enemy number one to this company."
Cole: "It looks like some very interesting days lie ahead for the TWF and coming up next, there is more action inside the ring as the world's strongest man, Mark Henry goes one on one with the Hardcore Icon, Nails."
COMMERCIAL BREAK.....
RETURN FROM BREAK... RINGSIDE....
(MATCH JOINED IN PROGRESS)
Chaos Wolf vs. Justin GabrielWolf kicks Gabriel in the stomach and Irish whips him into the corner and lifts him up and drops him with snake eyes. He then drops a knee to the head and goes for a pin but gets a two count. Wolf breaks the cover and bends over to pick him up but Gabriel kicks him in the head and dazes him. But when Gabriel charges at him, Wolf moves out of the way, sending him into the corner and quickly smothers him with a Sting-like splash which sends him to the mat. Wolf goes for the pin but only gets a two count so he puts him into the corner chest-first and puts him on the top rope. He then climbs up himself and takes Gabriel down with a belly to back suplex and again goes for the pin but once again Gabriel fights back and kicks him in the stomach and takes him to the mat with a snap suplex. Gabriel then goes for a standing moonsault but Wolf gets his knees up which sends Gabriel reeling and holding his abdomen. As Wolf gets up, he begins stalking behind Gabriel and as soon as he turned, Wolf dropped him with a jumping downward spiral which he calls the "Chaos Theory" for the pin.
Match Time: 2:27
Cole: "Justin Gabriel had a lot of fight in him tonight but a quality win for Chaos Wolf for sure."
JBL: "Chaos Wolf is one of those guys who has floundered around the mid card his entire career, Michael. I'd really like to see him take the necessary steps to get to the next level in 2013."
"HALLELUYAH" IS HEARD AND DAMIEN SANDOW, WHO MADE HIS TWF DEBUT AT DEADLY GAMES, COMES OUT FROM THE BACK WITH A MICROPHONE.
Cole: "Well we were introduced to this man here at TWF Deadly Games and he is here to address Chaos Wolf again it looks like.".
Damien Sandow: "As I worked my way up through the ranks, getting trained by some of the best this business has ever seen, I still had people telling me I wasn't quite right for this business. And what, this man in the ring is? Tell me, Mr. Wolf, what qualities did you have before getting into the TWF? Better yet, don't answer that question because I don't feel like popping several aspirin after hearing your answer. My point is that if a man such as the lost cause you see before you in the ring can get into this business, I think just about anyone can. However, it is a sad state of affairs. The TWF should think higher of its institution than to have someone with the mentality of a seven-year old performing for them. Mr. Wolf, or Chaos, if you prefer... please consider doing something else with your career and leave the craft of wrestling to the professionals. May I suggest a garbage truck driver or even a stunt double for Billy Bob Thornton. Maybe you have your own idea. Whatever the case, you can repay me for my wisdom later...... You're welcome."
SANDOW's MUSIC PLAYS AGAIN AND HE HEADS TO THE BACKSTAGE AREA. WOLF IS CHALLENGING HIM TO COME TO THE RING, BUT SANDOW IS PAYING NO ATTENTION.
Cole: "What in the world was that all about?"
JBL: "It sounded like a little life guidance if you ask me and while Damien Sandow has a lot of never to say some of those things... I applaud him for it."
BACKSTAGE AREA.....TRAVIS WAKEMAN IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, TALKING WITH TWF AGENT ARN ANDERSON WHEN JORDAN ROCKWELL APPROACHES.
Jordan Rockwell: "Glad you finally saw it."
Travis Wakeman: "Look man, don't come up to me with that I told you so stuff... I haven't been in the mood."
Jordan Rockwell: "Actually, what I'm coming up to you for is a chance to get my hands on Jericho. I know you said you were looking for someone to run the shows but until then, I figured you could make it happen."
Travis Wakeman: "You were out inside the arena earlier weren't ya?"
Jordan Rockwell: "Yeah and..... oh don't tell me. You're giving me Jericho in the cell?! I saw the cell hanging from the ceiling."
Travis Wakeman: "You and Chris Jericho inside Hell in a Cell... tonight."
Jordan Rockwell: "Looks like it's my lucky night."
BACK AT RINGSIDE, "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" BY THREE SIX MAFIA COMES ON AND MARK HENRY PLODS HIS WAY OUT FROM THE BACK.
Cole: "Hell in a Cell? Tonight?"
JBL: "I knew we'd get to the bottom of that cell and what a match that's gonna be... on live television!"
Cole: "And right now, if you wanted to see some hard hitting, you came to the right place!"
JBL: "It's the Kodiak bear of PrimeTime, Mark Henry and you're right, Michael. I'm not sure if these guys should be fighting in the ring or a back alley somewhere!"
"LEFT BEHIND" BY SLIPKNOT COMES ON AND NAILS COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP.
Cole: "One of the most recognizable stars in TWF history... a return to TV wouldn't be the same without the Hardcore Icon!"
JBL: "To this day he's still wearing that hockey mask. Ya know I saw him take that off one time, Michael and... well we won't get into that tonight."
Mark Henry vs. Nails In a battle between two of the TWF's most powerful brawlers, Nails and Mark Henry wasted no time in testing which man possessed the more dominant mean streak. Nails struck first, avoiding a lock-up by hitting Henry with a stiff headbutt. Henry took a step back, while Nails gave a deranged scream. Henry instantly attempted to gain momentum, but the mental damage was done. Nails hit Henry with a straight kick to the knee and dropped Henry to a crouch. This enabled Nails to slam the big man down with a DDT. The move garnered nothing but a one count, as Henry pushed Nails into the air to break up the count. Nails stayed on the offensive, pummeling Henry with kicks to the chest. With one final stomp, the World's Strongest Man caught Nails' leg and grabbed him by the chest. With one pull, Henry threw Nails right out of the ring. Henry wasted no time in ignoring the referee's demands and followed the veteran to the outside. Nails threw two haymakers, but Henry shook them off and leveled him with a clothesline. Henry proceeded to step right on Nails' gut with all of his 412 pounds. Nails rolled around in pain, but Henry continued to inflict pain. With the referee's count now at 5, Henry lifted Nails up and locked him in a bearhug. Nails battled back with shots to the head, but Henry ran and slammed him spine first into the steel ring post! The crowd was silenced by this act as Henry stood over Nails with a sadistic smile on his face. With the referee's count at 8, Henry rolled back into the ring. Nails lay motionless outside the ring 9... Henry lifted his arms into the sky to a chorus of boos... 10.
Match Time: 4:01
JBL: "Nails has been counted out."
"SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" CAME ON AS HENRY's HAND WAS RAISED IN VICTORY. NAILS LOOKED ON FROM THE FLOOR, STARING RIGHT AT HIM.
Cole: "Henry was able to beat the count back into the ring but this is one that I'd like to see again... what a war."
JBL: "Mark Henry may just be satisfied to take the victory and move up the ranks... he's got no reason to face Nails again."
Cole: "Well fans you don't want to go anywhere as this return for PrimeTime will start heating up big time when we come back. Not only will we see the Intercontinental title defended along with a Hell in a Cell match, but we will also have the fourth match in the best of five series between Joe Corey and John Cena for the Universal title!"
JBL: "And with Cena already leading 2-1, it's a must-win situation for 'The Show' and tonight... he'll have to do it in a Tables match!"
COMMERCIAL BREAK....
TWF RE-WIND
FOOTAGE IS SHOWN FROM TWF DEADLY GAMES. KOFI KINGSTON LAST ELIMINATES RANDY ORTON TO WIN THE FINAL BATTLE OF SURVIVAL.
BACK TO LIVE ACTION, KOFI KINGSTON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER.
Cole: "Fresh off of being the ultimate winner at Deadly Games... Kofi Kingston is on a hot streak here in the TWF and may be able to call himself Intercontinental champion after tonight!"
JBL: "Despite a very weird scene involving Wayne Brady that ended that pay-per-view, Kingston was also central in costing Matt Cruz the World title and on the next Rampage, Cruz and Kingston will go one-on-one, Michael."
"CAPRICORN" BY 30 SECONDS TO MARS COMES ON AND OUT COMES M.X. OGDEN WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. WITH HIM IS AJ LEE.
Cole: "Well Kofi better be focused on this match because this is a huge opportunity for him."
JBL: "M.X. Ogden has gone on record as saying he wants to be the greatest Intercontinental champion the TWF has ever seen and a win in this one would go a long way to bolstering that position."
Cole: "Ironically enough, these two men were on opposing sides at Deadly Games and Ogden was actually the first man eliminated in that match".
JBL: "And don't think he doesn't feel like he has something to prove tonight because of that."
TWF Intercontinental Title MatchChallenger: Kofi Kingston vs. M.X. Ogden w/ AJ LeeAware of the momentum Kingston had coming into this match, Ogden did his best to stall in the opening moments, ducking under the ropes every time Kingston drew near. AJ ran over to the other side of the ring, looking to distract Kofi while Ogden came from behind. Showing great instincts, Kofi turned and kicked him in the midsection before he could. He then ran the ropes, drilling the champion with a jumping clothesline. Kingston waited for Ogden to get to his feet and pushed him into the corner with right hands. He then backed up and ran in for an impressive monkey flip. It was a great start for the challenger who quickly went to the top rope, coming off with a cross-body in which he had to be close to 15 feet in the air. He landed it perfectly and got a long 2 count before Ogden kicked out. Looking to regroup, Ogden rolled out of the ring but Kofi followed. Having the benefit of having AJ, Ogden saw her say "turn around" and Ogden got a thumb into Kofi's eye. He then grabbed him by the back of the head before bouncing him off the ring steps. After rolling him into the ring, Ogden battered him with kicks to the body as he tried to get to his feet. The ringside cameraman got a great shot of Kofi's face, which had blood pouring from his nose from the impact with the ring steps. Ogden stayed on the attack, pulling Kofi to his feet. He got him up onto his shoulders before bringing him down across both knees. Ogden rolled Kofi over and covered him, getting a very near fall. Ogden got Kofi up and lifted him to his shoulders again but this time, Kofi got free. Ogden turned around and Kingston scored with "Trouble in Paradise"! He covered him but failed to hook a leg and at the last possible second, referee Scott Armstrong saw Ogden's left foot on the bottom rope. Only AJ had put it there, and Armstrong knew it. Wanting the match to continue, Armstrong opted to send AJ to the back rather than call for a DQ. The fans were loving it as it seemed Kingston was moments away from securing the title. Kingston pulled Ogden up and delivered the S.O.S. to get a 1........2........, but Ogden showed tremendous resolve by kicking out. Kingston got him up again and lifted him to the top rope. Kingston looked like was going to go up with him when suddenly, members of Rising United, Justin Gabriel, Tyler Reks and Vance Archer came out from the back, surrounding the ring. Armstrong tried to keep order but the momentary distraction allowed Ogden to come off the top rope with a flying leg lariat on Kingston, driving him face first into the mat! He then got his challenger up and scored with the "Memory Maker" to get the 1...........2........3!
Match Time: 6:27
Cole: "Ogden has retained! Kingston was in position to become champion, he just couldn't overcome all the odds!"
JBL: "This is what happens when you are a great leader of men, Michael, which Ogden clearly is! It will be very tough to get that belt off his waist!"
RISING UNITED CELEBRATED WITH OGDEN AS "CAPRICORN" PLAYED. SUDDENLY, 3 MEN DRESSED IN BLACK HIT THE RING.
Cole: "What the hell......
THE MEN ATTACKED GABRIEL, REKS AND ARCHER, BEATING THEM DOWN AS OGDEN STOOD CLEAR.
JBL: "This is an assault, Michael! These guys are destroying Rising United and Ogden's not doin' anything about it!"
AFTER INCAPACITATING REKS AND GABRIEL, THE 3 MEN GOT ARCHER UP FOR A TRIPLE POWERBOMB, SLAMMING HIM HARD INTO THE MAT. WITH THE CROWD IN A STUNNED SILENCE, OGDEN MOVED IN AND SHOOK THE HAND OF EACH ATTACKER.
Cole: "What's goin' on here?! Ogden is with these guys?!"
JBL: "That's sure the way it seems, Michael! It looks like Ogden may have just upgraded Rising United! These three guys look awesome!"
Cole: "We are being told that the three men are Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns but what they are doing here is anyone's guess."
JBL: "I said just a minute ago that Ogden is a great leader of men and this just takes that notion one step further."
THE CAMERA GETS A SHOT OF OGDEN, ROLLINS, AMBROSE AND REIGNS STANDING OVER ARCHER IN THE RING.
BACKSTAGE.....CAMERAS IN THE BACK ARE TRAINED ON A BEATIFUL RED-HEADED WOMAN.
Lauren Gardner: "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lauren Gardner and I will be your new backstage correspondent here on PrimeTime. (PJ CASH COMES INTO THE SHOT)
My guest at this time.... PJ Cash. PJ, you wanted a little time here, so go ahead."
PJ Cash: "Thank you, I just wanted to say that things have changed so much in my life and I have been humbled so much since I lost at WrestleMania. I've gone from drinking wine and eating caviar to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. When the TWF went on hiatus, I struggled... I struggled badly. Now, I just want to fight for my name and for my honor and see if I still have a place in this business. Tatanka, I know you're pretty much retired at this point but despite that, you were the better man at WrestleMania. I'd like to test myself against you one more time. So if you'd be kind enough to come to the next PrimeTime, I'd be thankful for the opportunity."
Lauren Gardner: "Michael, JBL, back to you guys."
Cole: "That's a side of PJ Cash we've certainly never seen before."
JBL: "My question is, if Tatanka does show up and beats him again... then what? I used to team with PJ Cash and I can tell ya.... that was disturbing."
CARNEY IS SHOWN HEADED TO THE RING. HE GETS INTO THE RING AND DEMANDS A MICROPHONE.
Carney: "Hey everybody... remember me? The last time you saw me, I was gonna be a father, right? WRONG! I don't know what happened to Alba Rios, but I can tell you two things. The paternity test revealed I wasn't the father of the baby boy she ended up giving birth to and number two... she has been terminated from the TWF. That was one of the last things Wakeman did before we shut down and then we come back and he and Mike are at each other's throats? What did I miss? The three of us had so many good times.... I don't want to see that go. So it is going to be my personal mission to get the boys back together and make sure The Empire doesn't crumble because we were the greatest thing this business has ever seen. I mean......
JUST THEN, CARNEY IS INTERRUPTED BY AN EXPLOSION ON THE SET, ONE THAT ROCKS THE ARENA. WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS, GUNDAM IS STANDING THERE, POINTING A SINGLE FINGER AT CARNEY. CARNEY JUST STARES BACK AS THE SHOT FADES...
COMMERCIAL BREAK.......
RETURN FROM BREAK.....WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, "MI DESTROYERO" IS PLAYING AND KEVIN THORN IS ON HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH ARIEL.
Cole: "Strange set of circumstances before the break there as Gundam came out... I didn't think he was around anymore."
JBL: "Well we've thought that before. I was much more interested in what Carney had to say about The Empire. Is there any way it can be pieced back together?"
THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND THE FANS CHEER AS STING's THEME COMES ON. AFTER APPEARING ON THE STAGE, HE SLOWLY MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING.
Cole: "Well fans, just to get you caught up on this situation, Sting was all set to call it a career following his once in a lifetime match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 12. Instead, Kevin Thorn had other ideas and the beating he put on Sting forced him to change his mind."
JBL: "They got a little piece of each other at Deadly Games but this is going to be a fight right here. Kevin Thorn is a former Universal champion and Sting may wish he stuck to his original plans by the time this is over."
Sting vs. Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel
From the sound of the opening bell, Kevin Thorn was looking to make a statement. The demonic brawler took it to the veteran Sting, kicking his knees out from under him before pummeling the face-painted legend with kicks and straight rights to the face. Thorn proceeded to bring Sting to his feet and drop him with a snap Samoan Drop. Thorn dropped into a cover with his forearm across Sting's face. The vet managed to kick out, but Thorn dropped an elbow directly across Sting's chest. Thorn proceeded to pick Sting up, but the legend had his next move scouted. Sting fought back with right hands and open chops, pushing Thorn back into the turnbuckle. Sting proceeded to land a knee to the gut and send Thorn to the opposite corner. Sting quickly followed with his patented Stinger Splash! The crowd went wild and Sting hit the move again, this time causing Thorn to stumble forward. Sting wasted no time in slamming him down face first with a one-handed bulldog. Sting quickly fell into the cover and garnered the 1.. 2.. No, Thorn is able to kick out. Sting looked out to the crowd and screamed, "One more?!" The fans went wild and approved as Stinger sent Thorn right back into the turnbuckle. Just as Sting went for a third Stinger Splash, however, Thorn moved out of the way. Sting went head first into the turnbuckle and allowed Thorn to crush him with a stiff standing jawbreaker. Sting hit the mat and the crowd became silent. The vampire wrestler wasted no time in picking Sting up and positioning him leg-first across the top ring rope. Just as Thorn attempted the "Dark Kiss", Sting dropped his legs back onto the mat and pulled Thorn down with the Scorpion Death Drop! The crowd erupted and counted in harmony as Sting garnered the 1... 2... 3!
Match Time: 8:06
Cole: "Wow what a match! A tremendous counter from Sting and a huge win!"
JBL: "I'll be damned, I didn't think Sting would be able to pull this one off but he can still do it... that's for sure!"
ARIEL PULLED THORN BACK UP THE RAMP AS HE LOOK BACK AT STING WHO WAS IN THE RING, MOST OF HIS FACE PAINT PEELED FROM THE BRAWL.
BACKSTAGE.....LOOKING TO GET A BIG SCOOP, LAUREN GARDNER TRACKS DOWN AJ LEE IN THE BACK.
Lauren Gardner: "AJ.... can I ask why Ogden had his own group attacked?"
AJ Lee (laughs): "Yeah, like I'm gonna tell you that. All I can say is this.... sit back and watch, people, because 2013 is going to bet the year M.X. Ogden has gotten everything that has been coming to him for nearly a decade."
AJ LOOKS VERY SERIOUS AS SHE MAKES THAT STATEMENT.
BACK TO THE RING, CAMERAS SHOW SEVERAL TABLES SET UP AROUND THE RING.
Cole: "You ready for this, partner?"
JBL: "More than ready, Michael. It's match four in the best of five series and it's a must-win for Joe Corey."
"AMAZING" BY KANYE WEST COMES ON AND OUT COMES JOE COREY TO NOTHING BUT BOOS.
Cole: "After tasting defeat at Deadly Games in a ladder match, Corey will now need to win two in a row to win this series and become Universal champion."
JBL: "But the fifth match won't even matter if he doesn't put Cena through a table tonight! Tremendous pressure on Corey here in Baltimore!"
"MY TIME IS NOW" COMES ON AND JOHN CENA STEPS OUT WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. HE IS GREETED BY A VERY MIXED RESPONSE. AFTER SALUTING THE CROWD, HE RUNS DOWN THE RAMP AND SLIDES INTO THE RING.
Cole: "Cena on the other hand has to have an incredible amount of confidence here tonight! He knows that if he puts Corey through one of these tables, this series is over and he holds onto the gold!"
JBL: "The stakes are high and it's a big-fight feel here in the 1st Mariner Arena.... this is great!"
Tables Match/Best of 5 Series- Match #4 (Cena leads 2-1)"The Show" Joe Corey vs. John CenaAs soon as the opening bell rang, both John Cena and Joe Corey hit the outside of the ring. With tables placed along the outside, both men were looking to set up shop. Just as Corey turned around, however, he realized that Cena had tricked him. Corey popped his head up, only to have it nearly knocked off by a stiff clothesline. The fans instantly erupted and Cena gave them no rest, picking Corey up and hitting him with a short-arm Shoulder Block. Corey began to crawl away, but Cena stayed right on him. Cena went for the STF early, but Corey had it scouted by dropping the champ with a kick to the groin. Cena dropped to his knees and allowed Corey to drop him with a short-arm DDT. Just as Corey appeared to have momentum, The Show decided that he was more interested in inflicting damage. Corey went under the ring and came out with a steel chair, thus causing the fans in the front row to come to their feet. Corey cocked back and swung the chair at Cena's head, but The Chain Gang Soldier anticipated the attempt and ducked under. Just as Corey turned around, Cena hit a sloppy dropkick that sent the chair right into Corey's head. The crowd went into a frenzy and Cena instantly set up the wooden table across the ring and ringside barrier. Cena then picked Corey up off of his feet and lifted him up onto his shoulders. Cena then positioned himself for the Attitude Adjustment, but Corey was able to slip out at the final moment. With one shove in the back, Corey sent Cena chin first into the table. Cena dropped to the mat like a pile of bricks and granted Corey a moment to catch his bearings. The Show proceeded to pick Cena up and roll him into the ring, dragging a table behind them. Corey stood over Cena for a few moments, taunting The Champ by speaking down to him. Corey proceeded to slap Cena across the head, which provoked the Champ to push Corey off of him and start a slug fest. Ever the strategist, this was exactly what Corey had hoped for. With Cena on the offensive, Corey backed his way into the corner where the table was now set up. After pushing Cena away, The Champ ran right at Corey. Corey side-stepped and sent Cena crashing into the table. Surprisingly, it didn't break. Corey then took a few steps back and ran at Cena, only to get two boots to the face. Cena then ran at Corey for a clothesline, thus knocking The Show to the mat. He instantly picked him up and slammed him down with a Spin-Out Powerbomb. The crowd went wild as Cena wasted no time with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. After landing the fist to the head, Cena lifted Corey back up on his feet and pulled him onto his shoulders for a second attempt at the Attitude Adjustment. Cena had the crowd on their feet before dropping into a squat and powering Corey right through the table! Just like that, the Universal Championship was secured.
Match Time: 12:54
Cole: "It's over! Cena has won the match and the series!"
JBL: "A disappointing end to a hard-fought series for Corey... what a warrior."
"MY TIME IS NOW" PLAYED AS CENA RAISED THE TITLE UP AND LET OUT A VICTORIOUS YELL.
Cole: "What a way for PrimeTime to return... that was a great match!"
JBL: "And we're not done, Michael. We've still got Hell in a Cell! This PrimeTime has been pay-per-view worthy tonight!"
Cole: "That's right, fans... coming up next... Chris Jericho and Jordan Rockwell attempt to settles their differences inside the cell!"
BEFORE THE SHOT FADES, CAMERAS GET A SHOT OF THE CELL, WHICH IS BEING LOWERED FROM THE CEILING.
COMMERCIAL BREAK.....
RETURN FROM BREAK.....THE CELL HAS ENGULFED THE RING WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS. "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO HITS AND JORDAN ROCKWELL EMERGES TO A MASSIVE CHEER. AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING, HE SLAPS HANDS WITH MANY OF THE FANS.
Cole: "For just the second time in TWF history.... Hell in a Cell will be held on live TV!"
JBL: "That match took place on December 27, 2006 and it also featured Rockwell... who was victorious."
"BREAK THE WALLS DOWN" COMES ON AND THE FANS IMMEDIATELY START TO BOO. BUT AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS, JERICHO IS STILL NOT OUT.
Cole: "Where is he? Where's Jericho?"
JBL: "Come on, Jericho, you can't get cold feet now!"
SUDDENLY, JERICHO COMES OUT FROM UNDER THE RING. HE HAS A STEEL CHAIR IN HAND AND HE COMES UP BEHIND ROCKWELL, SMASHING HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD.
Cole: "Wait a minute.... how did he get under there?!"
JBL: "And that chair is legal, Michael!"
Hell in a CellChris Jericho vs. Jordan RockwellAfter dropping Jericho with the chair, Jericho stood over him, pushing the chair into the throat of Rockwell. After doing a lot of damage with it, Jericho went and removed the turnbuckle covers of all 3 turnpads in one of the corners. He then pulled Rockwell up and whipped him right into the corner before pulling him out and catching him with a jump kick to the back of the head. The fans began chants of "Rockwell" as Jericho made the cover, getting a 2 count. Rockwell was having a very hard time recovering from the sneak attack to start the match but things turned when Rockwell was able to reverse an Irish whip, catch Jericho and deliver a sitout spinebuster right on the chair. Shaking off all the pain from before, Rockwell decided to use the cell as a tag team partner. He bounced Jericho face-first off all four sides of the cage wall before kicking him in the gut. Seeing "Extreme Measures" coming, Jericho pushed him away and landed a terrific dropkick. Now getting his second wind, Jericho grabbed Rockwell and began to grind his face against the cage. After a sharp kick to the ribs, Jericho waited for Rockwell to get up, delivering the "Code Breaker". The match looked like it was over but Rockwell somehow kicked out just before 3. Jericho was beside himself, but he didn't lose focus. As Rockwell fought to get up, Jericho jumped up and stomped right on the back of his head. This allowed Y2J to secure the legs of Rockwell, turning him over into the 'Walls of Jericho'. Rockwell was in a lot of trouble, but refused to give up. After being in the hold for over a minute, Rockwell mustered up the strength to shake free of the hold, flinging Jericho across the ring. Rockwell got to his feet and Jericho ran in with another Code Breaker. This time, Rockwell blocked it, dropping Jericho on the back of his head. He then grabbed him, slamming Jericho's head into each of the three turnbuckles he had exposed earlier. The crowd went wild after this and Jericho looked to be unconscious. Rockwell dragged him to the center of the ring, slapping on the STF. Referee Mike Chioda tried to get a response from Jericho but when he couldn't, he called for the bell, awarding the match to 'The Franchise'.
