DARK MATCHES SMW Match: In a match that lasted over 10 minutes, Shannon Moore and Loki excited the fans that had arrived early with some very innovative offense. Moore took a beating by the feet of Loki but ended up winning it after hitting his top rope corkscrew attack. SMW Match: In what was a very solid tag team contest, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger eeked out a victory over Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore after Swinger low blowed Conway behind the referee's back and hit the "Swing Thing" to win it. On an interesting note, the referee for the match was Rigo Perez, the neutral official who worked the When World's Collide main event. PRIMETIME GOES LIVE AS PRIMETIME COMES ON THE AIR, CAMERAS IN THE PARKING GARAGE CATCH THE ARRIVAL OF THE NEW BREED. AFTER THEY EXIT THEIR PT CRUISER, IDALIS APPROACHES THEM. Idalis: "Hey guys, how are you all doing tonight"? Sean O'haire: "Oh, we thought we'd stop by and take a look at the action here tonight". Idalis: "Look guys, I know you were all told you had the night off, but Rockwell, Wakeman has booked you in a Universal Title defense against Kid Gundam, for tonight". ROCKWELL TAKES A LONG LOOK AT IDALIS BEFORE WALKING AWAY AND THAT LEADS INTO PRIMETIME's MONTAGE WHICH IS ACCOMPANIED BY "RAP SUPERSTAR". THE ARENA COMES INTO VIEW AND PRIMETIME's ORANGE FIREWORKS LACE THE ENTRANCE. Michael Cole: "Off the heels of Deadly Games, we come to you live from Scottsdale, Arizona for PrimeTime! We thank you all for joining us tonight for what should be a great night of action that includes two title matches"! THE SCREEN SHOWS TONIGHT's MAIN EVENT WHICH WAS JUST ANNOUNCED. Bobby Heenan: "We just saw the new Universal champion Jordan Rockwell but he could have a real short reign Cole cause tonight, he's gotta face Kid Gundam"! ANOTHER PICTURE POPS UP WITH JAMIE NOBLE ON ONE SIDE AND DYLAN JANSENS WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER ON THE OTHER. Cole: "And that's not all! Dylan Jansens will also put the Lightheavyweight title on the line against Jamie Noble"! THE NEW JAPAN LOGO APPEARS ON THE PRIMETRON AND IT's THEME HITS AS CHONO AND MUTA COME OUT TO A BAD REACTION. Heenan: "And we're gonna start with tag team action Cole". Cole: "This team right here is as good as any we've seen in the TWF this year and they are gonna provide the up and coming Evolution with a tough challenge tonight". EVOLUTION's NEW THEME LINKIN PARK HITS AND THEY COME OUT TO A BIG POP. Heenan: "I don't think they stand a chance Cole"! Cole: "They have been in hot pursuit of a tag team title shot but Wakeman Enterprises has refused to give it to them and tonight, they've got their new cronies Chono and Muta to do their dirty work". Heenan: "Wakeman is too busy to deal with a couple of chumps like these two". Cole: "But they're still the tag team champions so they better make time! However, you gotta believe that if Evolution can't get the job done tonight, it's gonna be more excuse for Wakeman not to give them that shot". Evolution vs. Masahiro Chono and The Great Muta Evolution came out focused, prepared to use their quick strike, high flying abilities to propel them to a big win. Nova started the match with Muta and after the two tried to feel each other out, Muta took down a charging Nova with an arm drag into a top wrist lock. Nova was able to escape after a arm whip of his own and then he laid Muta out with a beautiful dropkick. Nova sent him for the ride but Muta ducked a clothesline and tagged in Chono as he did. Nova turned around and Chono used a drop toehold which led to a dropkick to the face from Muta. Chono then took a cheap shot at Kazarian who tried to get in the ring but he was cu t off by referee Jim Korderas. this allowed an illegal double team from New Japan and without making a legal tag, Muta stayed in the ring, working on the upper right arm of Nova which seemed to be affected. Muta then whipped him to the corner and charged in but Nova moved and hit a backdrop suplex. Nova struggled to get to his corner but he was able to make the tag to Kazarian who came in with a head of steam. After dropkicking Chono right off the apron, Kazarian caught Muta with a nice facebuster. He then tagged in Nova and as Nova held Muta up, Kazarian dropkicked him right out of his arms. Nova then went to the top rope as Korderas tried to restore some order. Chono got into the ring and clotheslined Kazarian to the floor. Nova came off the top rope but Muta caught him with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head just before he landed. Nova was out. Muta then tagged in Chono who hurriedly locked in the STF and Nova tapped out. Match Time: 4:15 Heenan: "This one is over! That was brilliant tag team wrestling! Reminds me of the way I used to teach my teams"! Cole: "Well in any event, Chono and Muta have earned a big win over Evolution which could actually go a long way in preserving the title reign of Wakeman Enterprises". PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE... JIM CORNETTE IS STANDING WITH HAYABUSA. Jim Cornette: "Hayabusa, I appreciate what you've done in trying to keep Camp Cornette together. So tonight, I've got a plan. It's something we talked about a little while back. CORNETTE WHISPERS SOMETHING IN HIS EAR. HAYABUSA NODS HIS HEAD. Cornette: "Tonight is gonna be your break out night". COMMERCIAL BREAK.... RETURN FROM BREAK... BACKSTAGE... THE CAMERA FOCUSES ON THE DOOR OF WAKEMAN ENTERPRISES' OFFICE WHEN IT OPENS AND BATISTA COMES OUT. THE CAMERA ZOOMS INTO THE OFFICE WHERE TRAVIS WAKEMAN SITS AT HIS DESK. BROCK LESNAR IS BEHIND HIM AND TRISH IS SITTING ON THE ARM OF HIS CHAIR. Trish: "Well I think that went well". Travis Wakeman: "It did. Shane's gonna wish he never got himself into this". Trish: "Well what about your guy? Is he still coming"? Wakeman: "Oh yeah, no worries, he will be here tonight"? BACK AT RINGSIDE, JAMIE NOBLE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A LOT OF HEAT. Cole: "We're back on PrimeTime folks and what the heck is Batista doing meeting with Wakeman Enterprises"? Heenan: "It could be a number of things Cole. But I know what my guess would be". "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT TRACK HITS AS A BLACK DRAGON APPEARS ON THE PRIMETRON AND BLOWS FIRE INTO THE SCREEN AND DYLAN JANSENS COMES OUT TO A BIG CHEER, THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "The lightheavyweight title will be on the line here and Dylan Jansens has been a great champion, but he's gonna have his hands full tonight with Jamie Noble". Heenan: "I understand Jansens requested this match". Cole: "Well Jansens has said that he wants to be a fighting champion and I admire that. He says if there's someone out there who's better than him, he wants them to get the shot". TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger... Jamie Noble vs. Dylan Jansens This was a very good, yet untraditional lightheavyweight match in which both men tried to use their mat technique to take the other out. Jansens used a nice sweep to get Noble off his feet and after a scoop slam, he bounced off the ropes with a senton bomb manuever but Noble rolled out of the way. This allowed Noble to get back into the match as he attacked the knees of Jansens. After a hip toss, he held one of Jansens' arms and dropped a leg right across his face. Noble then went for an irish whip but Jansens reversed it and caught Noble with a nice jumping calf kick. He then went to the top rope but miscalculated the effects of his move as Noble popped up and punched him in the ribs. That led to a spike ddt and Jansens was out. But instead of going for a cover, Noble positioned Jansens for the tiger bomb when Jim Cornette and Hayabusa came running out. Cornette got in referee Jack Doen's face. Hayabusa slid into the ring and savagely attacked Jansens, hitting him with a thrust chop to the throat. Noble angrily spun Hayabusa around but caught a savot kick to the face for his trouble. Hayabusa then dropped Jansens with a spinning martial arts kick to the face that knocked him flat on his back. Hayabusa then exited the ring and he left with an exuberant Cornette. Cole: "What the hell is the meaning of this? Hayabusa has just laid waste to our lightheavyweight champion and Noble is out too"! Heenan: "Well Cornette said tonight would be his break out night! He wasn't lying"! Cole: "This is what they've been planning? But why"? BACKSTAGE... W.E. OFFICE... CAMERAS SHOW DREW BLOOD ENTER WAKEMAN's OFFICE. BACK AT RINGSIDE, ARIES' MUSIC IS PLAYING AND THE BLUE LIGHTS OF HIS ENTRANCE LIGHT UP HIS MASKED FACE AS THE SOUND OF THUNDER IS HEARD. Cole: "We're gonna jump right back into the action as you see the mysterious Aries in the ring". Heenan: "Did you just see that Cole? Drew Blood just went into Wakeman's office". AL LAIMAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD REACTION. Cole: "Yes I saw it Brain, Wakeman is obviously up to something and he also is the reason we're about to see this match. We caught up with this newcomer Al Laiman earlier today and here's what he had to say". EARLIER TODAY Al Laiman: "So you're gonna punish me for not believing what you believe, huh Wakeman? With a match against Aries? Well just so you know, I don't sweat Aries. I'm universally known Wakeman and I know people who know you, remember that". Heenan: "What is he trying to do, play head games"? Cole: "I'm not sure what that's all about but this man is showing no fear of Aries, take a look". Aries vs. "Universal" Al Laiman As the bell sounded, Laiman was right in Aries' face, staring a hole through him. Aries took a swing but Laiman blocked it and returned fire. After a few more right hands, Laiman shot him to the ropes and delivered a stiff clothesline followed by a falling fist to the face, ala Ted Diabiase. Laiman then whipped him to the ropes again but Aries reversed this one and caught him with a belly to belly suplex. Aries then backed him to the corner with some vicious body shots before digging a knuckle into his temple. Laiman fought back and soon, the two were trading shots. Aries went for a sudden footsweep but Laiman jumped over his foot. However, Aries showed great instinct by catching Laiman in mid air and turning it into the "Land Mine". Aries hooked the leg and got the pin. Match Time: 2:19 Cole: "Oh wow, what a move"! Heenan: "Well, I'm impressed". Cole: "Whether Wakeman was trying to send Al Laiman and all the other non-followers here on PrimeTime a message is unknown at this point, but Aries has picked up a nice win for himself". PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... IDALIS COMES ACROSS AN IRATE DYLAN JANSENS WHO PUNCHES HIS LOCKER DOOR. Idalis: "Dylan, obviously you're upset. What is..... Dylan Jansens: "You're damn right I'm upset! Hayabusa, I don't know what you're problem is, but next week, right here on PrimeTime, I wanna have us a little face to face confrontation"! COMMERCIAL BREAK..... A COMMERCIAL FOR THE 3RD ANNUAL TWF AWARDS FROM THE RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL IN NEW YORK CITY IS SHOWN. VOTE NOW!! RETURN FROM BREAK... RINGSIDE.... Cole: "We're back on PrimeTime folks and during the break, we got some huge news". Heenan: "That's right and I wanna tell all these humanoids so they can all see the genius that Wakeman is. First, Drew Blood and Val Venis will team up tonight to face Shawn Michaels and Edge and next week right here on PrimeTime, Drew Blood will go one on one with Shane McMahon"! "619" HITS AS REY MYSTERIO COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP AFTER POPPING UP FROM UNDER THE ENTRANCE RAMP. Cole: "I don't know if the word is genius or jackass, but Wakeman has ordered that match for next week"! "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AS ROB VAN DAM COMES OUT TO ONE OF THE BIGGEST CHEERS OF THE NIGHT. Heenan: "You better watch it Cole, Wakeman might put you in a match next week! AHAHAHAHA"! Cole: "Very funny Brain. But folks what's not funny is the match we're about to see. You see the immense tandem of Jamal and Rosey already in the ring about to face the team of Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio who may lack the size of Jamal and Rosey, but they definitely don't lack the heart"! Heenan: "Well if I was an RVD or Mysterio fan, I'd have a bad feeling about this". Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio vs. Jamal and Rosey This was the match of the night. Despite giving up a ton of size, RVD and Mysterio came right at the huge tandem. RVD started the match with Rosey and caught him with a spinning heel kick followed by a drop toe hold. He then tagged in Mysterio who came in and caught Rosey with a dropkick to the face while he was down. As Rosey got up, he stumbled to the corner and Mysterio went for a jumping splash but Rosey caught him and dropped him face first on the turnpad. After a clothesline that turned Rey inside out, Rosey tagged in Jamal and they slowed down the pace. Jamal slung Mysterio to the corner and charged in with a huge avalanche, crushing him in the corner. He then tagged in Rosey who came in and caught Mysterio with a big elbow drop. He went for a cover but Rey hung in there by kicking out at 2. Rosey pulled him up and tagged Jamal. After an irish whip, they delivered a double backbody drop. Rey was in a lot of pain but RVD came in to break up the count. Mysterio would make 2 attempts to get to the corner and make the tag in the next few minutes but Jamal and Rosey were able to cut each one off. Finally, Jamal and Rosey went for their swinging double hip lock drop but RVD came in and caught Jamal with a spin kick to the chest. Meanwhile, Rosey hit Mysterio with a reverse gas mask and had the match won but referee Mike Chioda was trying to seperate a brawling Jamal and RVD. As Chioda walked Jamal back to his corner, RVD came off the top rope with a martial arts kick to the chest on Rosey, knocking him down. Mysterio then got new life with the encouragement of the crowd and he went to the top rope, hitting a split legged moonsault. Chioda was in great position to count the 1....2....3 as RVD held off Jamal with another nice kick to the head. Match Time: 8:32 Cole: "Mysterio pinned Rosey! I can't believe it"! Heenan: "Well it should've been the other way around! Rosey had Mysterio beat easily"! Cole: "RVD and Rey-Rey have pulled off a huge tag team win"! PARKING LOT.... CAMERAS CATCH THE ARRIVAL OF A SHINY BLACK PORSCHE THAT PULLS UP AND STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT. THE WINDOWS ARE TINTED AND THE HEADLIGHTS SHUT OFF. THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN ON THE LICENSE PLATE WHICH IS PERSONALIZED AND IS A NEW JERSEY PLATE WHICH SAYS "WHOBETTA". BACK AT RINGSIDE, RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT MOSTLY TO BOOS. Cole: "Someone has arrived here at the arena Brain but who the heck is it"? Heenan: "Someone in a nice lookin' Porsche"! BRADSHAW's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WEARING A WHITE COWBOY HAT TO A HUGE RESPONSE. Cole: "Well we've got a match here that will be important for both men as they try and move up the ladder here on PrimeTime and Brain, this one will go to the guy who hits the home run shot first". Heenan: "It won't be scientific, this will just be a good old fashioned brawl"! Rhyno vs. Bradshaw Two of the hardest hitters on PrimeTime locked horns in this one and the battle was fierce. Bradshaw rang Rhyno's bell with some hard shots to the head but Rhyno caught him with a big spinebuster. He then backed Bradshaw into the corner with some hard shoulder thrusts. After working on the rib cage of Bradshaw, Rhyno dropped him across his knee with a backbreaker. Bradshaw was in a lot of trouble as Rhyno put the boots to him but after he picked him up, Bradshaw reversed an irish whip and caught Rhyno with a big boot to the face. That led to the big fallaway slam and Bradshaw went for the cover to get 1.....2...., but Rhyno got a shoulder up just in time. Bradshaw sensed that he had the match over and he went for the kill. After stunning the manbeast with several forearm shots, Bradshaw called for the "Clothesline from Hell" but Rhyno recovered and drilled him with the "Gore" to get the 1...2....3. Match Time: 6:57 Cole: "Oh wow, how did he do that"? Heenan: "You talk about resiliency Cole, any other man would've been out on their feet"! Cole: "Well Rhyno just about put a hole through the big Texan with that Gore and he has earned himself a big win"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... IDALIS IS STANDING WITH EDGE. Idalis: "Edge, in just a few moments, you will team with the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels to face Drew Blood and Val Venis. Is there anyway you and Val, as family members, can patch things up"? Edge: "Ya know, I gave him that chance at Deadly Games. I asked him to watch my back. I had a chance to become the Universal champion. And what did he do? He came out and deliberately cost me the match. So to answer your question Idalis, as far as I'm concerned, no, there isn't". Idalis: "Well Val has said that he doesn't wanna be here on PrimeTime if it's gonna effect his personal life, namely with his girlfriend Allison. Have we heard the last of your accusations"? Edge: "My accusations? Oh, so now I'm some kind of liar, I'm making the whole thing up? Ya know, Val Venis is gonna see what happens when you mess with personal lives. It was my personal dream to win the Universal Title at Deadly Games and he ruined it. Well Val, I hope it was worth it". EDGE WALKS AWAY AS PRIMETIME GOES TO COMMERCIAL..... COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE.... WELL FOLKS, THERE YOU SEE VAL VENIS AND DREW BLOOD ALREADY IN THE RING AWAITING THERE OPPONENTS. "SEXY BOY" HITS AS THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET AND SHAWN MICHAELS APPEARS. And here comes one now as the roof here in Scottsdale just blew off"! Heenan: "Cheer all you want humanoids! You'll have nothing to be happy about once Drew Blood gets his hands on this man"! WHILE SHAWN MICHAELS IS COMING OUT, EDGE COMES THREW THE CROWD AND TACKLES VAL VENIS. Cole: "Wait a minute, Edge just tackled Venis"! ALL 4 MEN WENT AT IT AS THE BELL SOUNDED. Drew Blood and Val Venis vs. Shawn Michaels and Edge After referee Tim White got things under control, two former TWF champions, Shawn Michaels and Val Venis locked up. Michaels quickly went to a side headlock and Val backed him to the ropes and whipped him in. Shawn knocked Venis down with a shoulder tackle and after a step over, he hit Venis with a dropkick on the button and went for a quick cover but Val was up at 1. Michaels then tagged in Edge but Venis waved his finger at Edge and tagged in Drew Blood. This was the best instance of the match as these two put on a back and forth clinic. Drew Blood caught Edge with a powerslam and then he tried to lock in the Death Trap but Edge had it scouted and he rolled out of the way. Drew Blood got up and charged with a clothesline but Edge moved and Drew caught a right hand from Michaels. Edge then twisted Drew's arm with an armbar and tagged in Michaels who came off the middle turnbuckle with a fist to the elbow. He then twisted Drew's arm back but caught a thumb to the eye. After a snap mare, Drew kicked HBK right in the middle of the back and then dropped an elbow right across his chest. Drew Blood and Venis then showed great teamwork as they slowed the match down, isolating Michaels in the ring. Drew and Venis made several exchanges and Shawn had to deal with the fresh man. After a powerslam, Venis dropped a knee right on Shawn's forehead but was only able to get a 2 count. Venis then set him up for a fisherman suplex but Shawn was able to fight it off with 3 punches to the kidney area. Venis then whipped him to the ropes but Shawn ducked a clothesline and as he came off the other side, he nailed Val with a flying forearm. As the fans came to their feet, Edge extended into the ring as far as he could and Michaels made the tag as the crowd erupted. Edge went to town on Val, hitting him with right hand after right hand. Drew Blood tried to come in but caught a hard dropkick to the face. Val then missed a wild swing but Edge ducked and hit the Edge-O-Matic to get the 1....2..., but Val kicked out. Edge th8en went up top looking for missile dropkick but Val quickly reacted by swatting him away. HBK tried to get involved but was cut off by White as Val picked up Edge for a piledriver and Drew Blood came off the top rope, making it a spike piledriver. Drew Blood then gave Michaels a cheap shot which knocked him to the floor as Val covered Edge and hooked the leg to get the 3 count. Match Time: 15:34 AFTER THE MATCH, SHAWN CAME IN AND CLOTHESLINED DREW BLOOD OVER THE ROPES AND TO THE FLOOR AS VENIS SLID OUT OF THE RING. Heenan: "What a sore loser Michaels is! Venis just pinned Edge"! Cole: "Well Edge is not gonna take that result very well but I can assure you that both these situations are far from over folks"! BACKSTAGE... W.E. OFFICE... INSIDE THE OFFICE OF WAKEMAN ENTERPRISES, TRISH LOOKS AT THE CLOCK ON THE WALL. Trish: "It's getting late T, where is he"? Wakeman: "He'll be here. I said..... Cole: "I sure did, Chris Kanyon is in Wakeman's office"! Heenan: "That's a great guest! Way to go Wakeman"! Cole: "I don't know what that's all about but what I do know is that tonight may be the biggest night in the career of Kid Gundam, a chance to become Universal champion"! "ROCK HARD" BY JA RULE HITS AND THE NEW BREED LOGO SWIRLS AROUND THE RING AS JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT TO A NEW DISPLAY OF PYRO TO ONE OF THE BIGGEST POPS OF THE NIGHT. Heenan: "I gotta agree with you there Cole, for once, this is a huge oppurtunity"! Cole: "It came down to these two in that grueling Cell of Survival at Deadly Games but Rockwell is just days removed from winning the title in that match, why should he have to defend the title tonight? Cause Wakeman said so"? Heenan: "Well yeah, but it's not like he's at a severe disadvantage here. Gundam spent as much time in that match as he did". Cole: "Wait a minute, Gundam just attacked Rockwell"! THE MATCH NEVER EVEN BECAME OFFICIAL AS CORNETTE ORDERED GUNDAM TO ATTACK ROCKWELL ON THE RAMP. AFTER A HARD DDT, GUNDAM GRABBED THE FLAG AND STARTED JABBING IT INTO THE RIBS OF ROCKWELL. HE THEN RAISED THE FLAG AND WAVED IT AROUND TO THE BOOS OF THE CROWD AS ROCKWELL GOT UP. BUT WHEN GUNDAM CHARGED, ROCKWELL BACKDROPPED HIM HARD ON THE RAMP. CORNETTE THEN CAME FROM BEHIND AND HIT ROCKWELL RIGHT IN THE BACK. ROCKWELL TURNED AROUND AND BEGAN TO STALK THE COWERING CORNETTE DOWN THE RAMP AS GUNDAM GRABBED THE UNIVERSAL TITLE BELT. BUT SUDDENLY, CHRIS BENOIT CAME OUT FROM BEHIND AND GERMAN SUPLEXED GUNDAM RIGHT ON THE STEEL RAMP. CORNETTE WAS SHOCKED. ROCKWELL GRABBED HIS TITLE AND WALKED OFF AS BENOIT JUST STARED, STEAMING AT CORNETTE. Heenan: "What are you doing Benoit?! You just made the biggest mistake of your life"! Cole: "I think it's safe to say that Camp Cornette has officially gone under"! OFF AIR.....
