Liberty Stadium

Ibadan, Nigeria

Attendance: 27,419

December 24, 2003

TWF agents in the back could not believe the noise level inside the Liberty Stadium as Uprising got underway.

Mortis vs. Carney

Mortis had a little trouble with the quick Carney early but got back into it with a wicked reverse neckbreaker. Minutes later, he dropped Carney with the "Flatliner" but Carney was able to break the count by putting his foot on the bottom rope. But Mortis locked in a never before used submission hold which wrenched the neck of Carney and forced him to tap out.

Low-Ki vs. Rey Mysterio

2 men who were involved in perhaps the match of the year about 5 months ago put on a show for the Nigerian crowd. But after avoiding the 6-1-9 and catching Mysterio with a sharp kick to the chest, Low-Ki drove him into the mat with the "Ki Krush Driver" and got the 1....2.....3, reversing his fortune from the first encounter.

AS LOW-KI WALKED UP THE RAMP, THE SHOT FADED OUT.

PRIMETIME GOES LIVE

A VERY DIFFERENT VIDEO STARTS THE SHOW FEATURING AN AFRICAN TRIBE HUNTING DOWN A DEER. AS THE DEER CONTINUES TO RUN, HE SLAMS THROUGH TWO PINE TREES WHERE HE SEES A RED LIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE, SHINING IN THE SKY. ON THE OTHER SIDE IS A MAGNIFICENT SLEIGH PARKED ON THE GROUND FILLED WITH A GROUP OF REINDEER.

"Come on"! says a voice. It is the voice of Santa Claus.

THE DEER RUNS OVER AND BECOMES PART OF THE SLEIGH BEFORE IT PULLS INTO THE AIR. THE TRIBE BURSTS THROUGH THE TREES HOLDING SPEARS AND STONES BUT UPON SIGHT OF THE SLEIGH, THEY ALL BEGIN TO SMILE, IN AWE.

THE PRIMETIME LOGO THEN SHOWS ON THE SCREEN INTERTWINED WITH A CHRISTMAS WREATH AND THE INSIDE OF THE EXTREMELY LOUD STADIUM COMES INTO VIEW.

JESSE VENTURA AND MICHAEL COLE ARE HEARD BUT ARE CALLING THE ACTION FROM THE BACK.

Michael Cole: "We welcome you to the Holiday Hell tour where Ibadan, Nigeria is rockin' and Jesse, how exciting is this"?!

Jesse Ventura: "I've done some very exciting things in my life Cole but this would have to be at the top of the list"!

THE ULTIMO DRAGON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO AN ABSOLUTELY DEAFENING ROAR ALONG WITH PAUL LONDON.

Cole: "Tag team action to kick us off here folks but we have some news to pass on as well and that is that at War in the Winter, that man the Ultimo Dragon will challenge Shane Thompson for the Lightheavyweight title"!

CHRISTOPHER DANIELS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT ALONGSIDE SHANE THOMPSON WHO HAS THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER.

Ventura: "That is huge news Cole and I gotta say that I don't like the Dragon's chances, he may be facing the hardest guy to beat on PrimeTime right now"!

Cole: "Yeah, and it got even harder when Thompson aligned himself with this man"!

Ventura: "Chris Daniels will take part in that Elimination Chamber match and the odds are good in my mind that both these men will leave the pay-per-view with gold"!

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Shane Thompson vs. The Ultimo Dragon and Paul London

London and The Dragon continued their excellence as a team but Daniels and Thompson were equally impressive for a team tagging up for the first time. The Dragon and Thompson previewed what will be a great match at War in the Winter but with all 4 men in the ring, Daniels used a low bridge with the top rope and Ultimo spilled out of the ring. London, the legal man, came over and hit Daniels with a fewe right hands but Daniels pushed London right into a running superkick from Thompson who fell into a cover to get the 1....2.....3.

Match Time: 7:16

Cole: "Thompson may've just knocked the teeth of London down his throat and as if he could get any better in this, his rookie year, he may've done so by acquiring this new acquaintance known as the Fallen Angel"!

Ventura: "As I said Cole, I don't like the chances of the Ultimo Dragon"!

THE BACKSTAGE AREA HAS BEEN SET UP IN A SANDED AREA SURROUNDED BY TREES. TRAVIS WAKEMAN AND TRISH STRATUS ARE SHOWN PREPARING FOR THEIR LATER MATCH.

Travis Wakeman: "Uh Trish".

Trish: "Yeah".

Wakeman: "You uh, you aren't into Sable.... are ya"?

Trish: "Are you kidding? Of course I'm not and Sable... she's gonna get a little preview of what she's got coming at War in the Winter tonight".

As PrimeTime returned, these two big men who will be participants in the Elimination Chamber went at it but before long, a third participant in that match came running out with his sights set on Bahamut..... it was Rob Van Dam! After a few kicks to the body, RVD knocked him over the top rope with a spinning martial arts kick that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

TWF RE-WIND

SHOWS KID GUNDAM THROWING SALT INTO THE EYES OF CHRIS TIRPAK, COSTING HIM A MATCH TO SAKODA 2 WEEKS AGO ON PRIMETIME.

Kid Gundam vs. Bradshaw

Bradshaw pounded Kid Gundam, hoping to make his partner Chris Tirpak's job at War in the Winter a little easier. But Gundam showed a ton of resiliency and his quickness led him to a victory over Bradshaw. After missing with the "Clothesline from Hell", Gundam hopped up to the middle turnbuckle and came off with a bulldog in which he turned in mid air to deliver. He then hooked the leg and got the 3 count as Sakoda and Akio came out to congratulate him.

The Beast: "Did you see that crap"?!

Beast: "Well I didn't come all the way to Nigeria for that! I want another damn match"!

Shane: "Ya know... I bet these people here would love to see a Thunder Dome match. So that's what we're gonna do. Tonight, you versus Aries in the Thunder Dome"!

Beast: "That's what I wanna hear"!

THE BEAST WALKS AWAY BUT LESNAR IS JUST A FEW FEET AWAY.

Brock Lesnar: "Good luck" (laughs)

RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE...

CHRIS BENOIT AND DYLAN JANSENS ARE SHOWN SITTING IN SOME WOVEN CHAIRS WHEN CARNEY AND REY MYSTERIO COME UP.

Chris Benoit: "You guys enjoying yourselves"?

Rey Mysterio: "Oh yeah... it's great here".

Carney: "Listen guys, the reason we came here tonight is because we've come to a decision about the New Year's battle royale. Now, it wasn't aneasy decision".

Mysterio: "Definitely not. And Chris, Carney and I both agree that you are the most consistent guy we have right now but last year, Dylan won that battle royale and he cmae up with a great idea for his resolution. So with that, we think it'd be best if he represents the Elements in it this year".

BENOIT LOOKS DOWN AT THE GROUND.

Benoit: "Okay... if that's how you boys feel. (he turns to Jansens) Dylan, be at your best tonight".

Charlie Haas w/ Ted Dibiase vs. Frankie "The Future" Kazarian

With the wager on the New Year's battle royale between these two groups still in effect, Haas and Kazarian battled for momentum. Haas wrestled a great match but Kazarian continued to kick out after each move he hit. Eventually, the referee forced Guido Maritato and Johnny Stamboli to the back due to them constantly trying to get involved. Late in the match, Kazarian went for a sunset flip but Haas sat down on his chest. He grabbed the middle rope for leverage but the same ref kicked his arms, allowing Kazarian to flip him over into a cover with enough momentum to get the pin.

Match Time: 9:44

TWF RE-WIND

SHOWS JORDAN ROCKWELL's BOMBSHELL ANNOUNCEMENT TO RANDY ORTON AND RIC FLAIR LAST WEEK ON PRIMETIME WHERE HE REVEALED THAT HIS CORNERMAN FOR WAR IN THE WINTER WILL BE THE LEGENDARY RICKY STEAMBOAT.

JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES TO THE RING TO A VERY, VERY LOUD REACTION ALONG WITH RICKY STEAMBOAT. THEY EACH ENTER THE RING AND ROCKWELL GRABS A MICROPHONE.

Jordan Rockwell: "What's up Nigeria?!

THE FANS LOUDLY POP.

Now, I know you guys didn't pay to listen to anyone talk, but I just wanted to introduce you all to my good friend and a legend of this industry... Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat"!

ROCKWELL HANDS HIM THE MIKE.

Ricky Steamboat: "Thank you.... thank you very much. Now I gotta be honest, when Jordan approached me about coming to War in the Winter, I wasn't really interested. That is, until he mentioned one name..... Ric Flair! Flair, you and I go way back and while I respect what you've done, I'd hate to see you stick your fifty plus year old nose into this match between these two young lions! So that is why I.....

JUST THEN, FLAIR AND ORTON COME FROM OUT OF NOWHERE AND ENTER THE RING. BUT THE SNEAK ATTACK FAILS AS ROCKWELL AND STEAMBOAT ARE READY FOR THEM. Match Time: 9:09

BACKSTAGE......

IDALIS IS SHOWN WITH SHANE THOMPSON WHO HAS THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE STRAPPED OVER HIS SHOULDER.

Idalis: "Okay guys, I'm here with awesome.....

Shane Thompson: "Ah, ah, ah, drop the awesome".

Idalis: "Okay".

Thompson: "Since I came here, it's always been about a stupid nickname. First, I had to act like I was crazy and I went from that to being awesome? Now Idalis, there's no doubt my skills are awesome but those guys were just not me. I am Shane Thompson, plain and simple and it took Chris Daniels to help me realize that. I don't need any friends and I sure as hell don't need these fans to help create an identity for me".

Idalis: "Okay, well it has been announced that you will be putting that title on the line at War in the Winter against the Ultimo Dragon. Are you the least bit worried, considering all his accomplishments in that division throughout the world"?

Thompson: "Can you remember the last time I lost a match? I don't think your memory goes back that far. But Ultimo Dragon, I'll give you credit, you are without doubt a great superstar but you too lack identity, hiding behind that mask. You see, there is not a superstar on this roster that can overcome the confidence I have established within myself so Dragon, you may have a shot at my title but it's an easy bet... it's not going anywhere".

THE DYNAMIC DUO COME OUT AND PULL UP 2 CHAIRS AT RINGSIDE TO WATCH THE TAG TEAM TURMOIL MATCH.

Tag Team Turmoil to determine #1 contenders

Match 1: Essa Rios and Sean O'haire vs. Jamal and Rosey: Many questioned whether Rios and O'haire would be on the same page but that was quickly answered as they gave the biggest team in the TWF fits. O'haire's martial arts abilities were a huge advantage and Rios was all over the place with his high flying ability. Finally, O'haire put a submission hold on Jamal in which he pulled his arm back very awkwardly and the big man tapped out.

Match 2: Sean O'haire and Essa Rios vs. Mattitude: This was probably the best match of the whole tag team turmoil as over 8 tags were made on each side. But finally, Jamie Noble hit his Tiger Bomb on Rios to get the pin as Matt Hardy and O'haire brawled outside the ring.

Match 3: Mattitude vs. Akio and Sakoda: Akio and Sakoda came out looking to capitalize on Noble as O'haire and Hardy had to be seperated but before they could hit a double STO on Noble, Matt slid back in the ring and kicked Akio right between the legs. He then tackled Sakoda as Noble small packaged Akio for the 3 count.

Match 4: Mattitude vs. Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore

Conway and Dinsmore looked to exploit the fact that they were in the ring with a team that had just wrestled 2 matches and they did what they do best, slowing it down with some mat wrestling. But after catching Dinsmore with a powerslam, Noble made the tag. Hardy came in and hit Conway with a shot that knocked him off the apron into the Dynamic Duo. Dinsmore came from behind and rolled him up but Matt rolled through it and stood up, kicking Dinsmore in the gut and hitting the "Twist of Fate" to win it.

Match 5: Mattitude vs. Chris Benoit and Dylan Jansens:

With only 1 team left to get through, Mattitude was ready to become the #1 contenders but they ran into an Elements team that looked as good as ever and after Jansens disposed of Hardy, Benoit caught a charging Noble with the Crossface and despite Noble trying to hold on, he tapped out and the Elements won it.

THE DYNAMIC DUO ROSE FROM THEIR SEATS AND CAME INTO THE RING AND SHOOK THE HANDS OF BENOIT AND JANSENS AS "WHATEVER" BY OUR LADY PEACE PLAYED.

COMMERCIAL BREAK......

A COMMERCIAL FOR CASTROL GTX MOTOR OIL IS SHOWN.

RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE....

Mixed Gender Tag

Travis Wakeman and Trish Stratus vs. Batista and Sable

Wakeman and Batista worked the better part of this match, taking turns in control but Wakeman had his energy sapped with a paralyzing bear hug. Suddenly, Sable tagged herself in, a move Batista didn't like because not only did he have to break the hold, he had to come out of the ring. Trish got in and her and Sable went at it, Trish getting the best of her. Sable relentlessly tried to strip the clothes of Trish but Trish continually fought her off. But she inadvertently caught referee Earl Hebner with her chick kick and Batista came into the ring and planted her with a spinebuster. Wakeman came in and nailed Batista and their fight carried out of the ring while in the ring, Sable rolled over onto Trish and Hebner counted the 3. After the match, Sable did a very sexual dance while standing over the fallen Trish. She then removed her top and dropped it on Trish prompting Michael Cole to say "does Sable even wanna win the bra and panties match"?

OFF AIR.......

*SIDE NOTE: I APOLOGIZE FOR THE FORMAT OF RESULTS GUYS. THIS IS ONLY HOW THEY'LL BE FOR THIS WEEK, I JUST HAD TO GET THEM DONE.
