Veteran's Memorial Auditorium

Des Moines, Iowa

Attendance: 9,472

October 22, 2004

The stars of Rampage hit Des Moines for the last stop before the Halloween spectacular DoomsDay. Many people in the crowd were in costumes but as the night would prove, they wouldn't be the only ones. Uprising was on tap first with 3 very exciting matches.

Sam Wilde vs. Rob Storm w/ Jimmy Hart

Wilde was his usual technically sound self but Storm was right on the same level. After a superkick, Storm looked to have the win but Wilde kicked out and nearly pinned him with a small package moments later. Jimmy Hart got on the apron and Wilde went and grabbed him by the collar. He then forced a collision between manager and client when Storm ran in and grabbed Storm in a waist lock. But Storm used a quick go behind and went down low on Wilde without the ref seeing. He then pulled Wilde in for the "Great White North" and it was all over.

Matt Morgan w/ Teddy Long vs. Ruffy Silverstein (invitee)

Silverstein showed no fear of Mount Morgan but after being turned inside out by a clothesline as he charged in, Morgan stuffed him into the mat with his sit down powerbomb for the victory.

Trish Stratus vs. Desire

Trish got her first singles victory on Rampage after avoiding a clothesline from Desire with her matrix manuever and then blasting her with the Chick Kick and covering her for the 1...2....3.

"TIME TO ROCK N' ROLL" BY LIL' KIM PLAYED AND TRISH LEFT TO A FAVORABLE CHEER AS RAMPAGE WAS SET TO TAKE OFF.

RAMPAGE GOES LIVE

THE MINUTE RAMPAGE WENT LIVE ON SPIKE TV, JOE COREY WAS SHOWN IN THE RING WITH HIS KING OF CABLE TITLE BELT AND A WELL BUILT BALD HEADED MAN. COREY INTRODUCED HIM AS RECON RAGE OF SMOKY MOUNTAIN WRESTLING AND IN JUST A FEW MINUTES, CARNEY WOULD MEET THE DOOM BEFORE DOOMSDAY.

RAMPAGE's MONTAGE PACKAGE THEN PLAYED WITH "ACROSS THE NATION" LOUDLY BLARING. WHEN THE ARENA CAME BACK INTO VIEW, "LOOSE" BY EMINEM HIT AND CARNEY CAME OUT TO A HUGE REACTION AS JIM ROSS AND JERRY LAWLER SET THE STAGE FOR ALL THE VIEWERS.

SMW Challenge Phase 3: Carney vs. Recon Rage of SMW w/ "The Show" Joe Corey

Carney was charged up for this one, bringing the fight to the much bigger Rage. But after being caught going for a cross body block, Carney was put down with a fallaway slam followed by a throw up samoan drop. But Rage went to the top rope and missed with a senton bomb and Carney bounced off the ropes when he got to his feet, scoring with a springboard flying forearm. Corey got up on the apron and grabbed Corey's arms from behind but Carney was able to free himself as Rage charged in and he drilled Corey, knocking him to the floor. Carney then executed the C-Drop reverse DDT before going to the top rope. As the fans came to their feet, he came off with the picture perfect "C-Bomb" and covered Rage for the 3 count.

As Doug got in Patton's face about the decision, Stasiak came from behind with the reverse DDT drop once known as the "Meat Grinder" in another company to get the 3 count.

Match Time: 7:24

AFTER THE MATCH, STASIAK ASKED CHUCK PALUMBO TO COME OUT AND PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE FOR HITTING JACKIE LAST WEEK, ACCIDENT OR NOT. HE TELLS FANS THAT JACKIE HAD A HEADACHE FOR 3 DAYS. Taylor Made w/ Terri and Desire vs. The Hurricane

This was definitely the match of the night as Taylor and Hurricane battled back and forth for over 13 minutes. After being hammered much of the match, Hurricane countered the "Customizer" to start a furious comeback. But in going for the Overcap, Hurricane took out referee Jimmy Korderas when Taylor ducked. Hurricane was still able to duck a clothesline and hit the Eye of the Hurricane but from the crowd came a new face wearing a Hawaiian style shirt. It was Carlito Caribbean Cool. After delivering a reverse sambo suplex to Hurricane, Taylor got up to deliver the Customizer and cover Hurricane for the 3 count. It was assumed that Carlito was the "friend" Taylor has been referring to and as the two men walked off, Carlito had his arms around both Terri and Desire.

After missing with the "Clothesline from Hell", Bradshaw was victimized by the "F-U" but High Octane came in to break up the pin. Undertaker warmed up for his DoomsDay title defense with an impressive performance against an overmatched Blaze whose only offense was a few kicks to the body and a knifedge chop. He hit the ropes but ran right into a chokeslam and the deadman followed that up with the vaunted Tombstone, crossing the arms of Blaze as referee Earl Hebner made the no doubt 3 count.

Match Time: 3:22

AFTER THE MATCH, THE UNDERTAKER's MUSIC WAS CUT OFF WITH A BOLT OF ELECTRICITY THROUGH THE ARENA. THE DOOMSDAY LOGO APPEARED ON THE TWF TRON AND STANDING UP IN THE ARENA RAFTERS WAS A GRIM REAPER, HOLDING A SCYTHE. THE UNDERTAKER LOOKED UP, NOT BLINKING AN EYE. LAWLER MADE THE COMMENT THAT THE UNDERTAKER MAY BE LOOKING INTO HIS DESTINY AS RAMPAGE WENT OFF THE AIR.
