Lawlor Events Center

Reno, Nevada

Attendance:

November 11, 2004

Rampage made it's first ever trip to Reno and the city in Nevada that is alwats overshadowed by Vegas had all the stars on this November night. The show got started with Uprising and fans were very impressed with the 2 men the TWF invited for a match.

La Resistance w/ Jimmy Hart vs. Mac Johnson and Chris Masters

Johnson and Masters, 2 young kids training in Ohio Valley Wrestling, gave Rob Storm and Sylvan Grenier all they could handle. But Jimmy Hart alerted Grenier to a missile dropkick attempt from Masters and he was able to move out of the way. That led to Storm knocking Johnson off the apron and then combining with Grenier to deliver the "Au Revoir" for the 3 count win.

Johnny Blaze w/ Teddy Long vs. Sam Wilde

Both of these guys were on top of their game and Blaze seemed to be heading towards that next level. After a european hip toss, Wilde lifted Blaze up for a suplex but Blaze countered with a quick small package to steal a win and start Teddy Long dancing.

AS "UNDER A BROTHA SERVICES" MUSIC PLAYED, LONG DANCED ON THE RAMP AND THE CROWD BOOED AND LAUGHED AS THE SHOT FADED TO BLACK.

King of the Ring Qualification Match

Mordecai vs. Nemesis

There weren't very wrestling moves in this fight but Mordecai took control and got a near fall after a chicken wing jawbreaker. He then lifted Nemesis up for a sideslam but Nemesis fought his way out of his grasp and kicked him right in the face, knocking him into the ring ropes. He followed that up with a clothesline that sent Mordecai to the floor. But Mordecai then gave up any chance he had to win the tournament when he picked up a steel chair and smashed Nemesis over the head with it. Referee Chad Patton called for the bell, disqualifying Mordecai. Nemesis had won the match but we was the one left laying in the ring.

Mark Jindrak vs. King of Cable "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Alexis Laree

Jindrak stood in the ring awaiting his opponent but Alexis came out by herself. But from the other side of the ring came Corey and, feeling he needed a head start, jumped Jindrak from behind. But after reversing an irish whip into a spectacular dropkick, Jindrak was alive again. Jindrak went into a set of moves and was very crisp with each one. Jindrak then shot him to the corner and charged in but Corey got a foot up to the face. He then whipped Jindrak to the opposite corner but Jindrak leaped onto the top turnbuckle and flew off with a reverse flying clothesline that looked like a thing of beauty but there was one problem.... he missed. Corey then followed up with the "Showstopper" and hooked the leg for the 3 count to survive a scare.

The Dynamic Duo combined early to take the champs down with some high flying tactics but their immense size became too much of a factor and it caught up to them. After the champs caught Cyclone with a double superkick, Jamal threw Hurricane into a throw up Samoan drop from Rosey. Jamal then went up top and hit the Air Samoan Splash on Hurricane and it was mercifully over.

King of the Ring Qualification Match

Christian vs. John Cena

Shortly into this matchup, A-Train, Christian's bodygaurd who also has history with Cena, came down to ringside. The distraction allowed Christian to take over the match, delivering a reverse falling ddt. But when he went for the "Un-Prettier", Cena dropped to one knee and tripped him up, putting in an STF in the middle of the ring. A-Train could only watch as Cena pulled back harder and Christian had to tap out. Right after the match, A-Train came into the ring and went for his Pump Kick but Cena avoided it and delivered the "F-U" as the crowd went wild.

Carlito had more than a few problems here and wasn't able to showcase much of his abilities because Sane came out on fire. After connecting with the "Asylum", it appeared Sane had the victory but both Terri and Desire got onto the apron to distract referee Jack Doan as Taylor came around with his chain wrapped around his fist and clocked Sane in the back of the head. Carlito fell on top of him and got the 3 count when Doan turned back.

King of the Ring Qualification Match

Bradshaw vs. Austin Pyromania w/ Stacy Kiebler

Pyro's quickness got him on top early but the big Texan caught him going for a crossbody block and turned it into the fallaway slam he now calls the Stock Market Crash. After a big boot to the face, he was firmly in control when from the back came High Octane. Stacy got in his face to see what he was doing but Bradshaw also yelled at him, telling him to take some notes. This allowed Pyro to use a crucifix and roll Bradshaw up for the quick 3 count. As Bradshaw left in a tirade, High Octane entered the ring. After a tense staredown between the two, Octane extended his hand and Pyro shook it, a moment the crowd truly loved.

Match Time: 5:30

BACKSTAGE.....

A FRUSTRATED HURRICANE TELLS CYCLONE HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE A SUPERHERO ANYMORE. CYCLONE IS IN SHOCK AS HURRICANE WALKS AWAY.

6 Man Tag Team Match

Steven Richards, "Mr. Mature" Oliver Worth and Matt Morgan w/ Teddy Long vs. Shawn Michaels, Scott Steiner and Garrison Cade

Garrison Cade was introduced as Steiner and Michaels' partner which was fitting because he was trained by the Heartbreak Kid. But it was Matt Morgan who no one had an answer for. Finally, Cade tagged in to Steiner and Morgan had met his match as the two went at it. In the ring, Michaels hit Worth with a flying forearm and Cade then came off the top rope with a great elbow drop. But Cade was taken out with a glancing superkick from Richards which led to some badmouthing. But when he turned around, Michaels delivered the original superkick, the "Sweet Chin Music" and hooked the leg for the 1......2......3.

RAMPAGE CAME TO AN END WITH THE 3 IN THE RING PLAYING TO THE CROWD AS RICHARDS, WORTH, MORGAN AND TEDDY LONG LEFT, BEATEN.
