Rampage hit the Centrum in Worcester, a lovely arena and the 8,000 plus fans in attendance were ready to catch all the fallout from Anarchy Rulz. Stacy Snow vs. Ashley K. Looking to get back into the swing of things, Stacy Snow matched up with Rampage's resident female cheerleader, Ashley K. They put on a great match as one of the TWF's strong suits has always been it's competitive women's division. But after missing with a top rope flying attack, Ashley suffered her first loss after Stacy put her down with the "Gambling Problem". Rex Redford vs. Rob Storm Storm began to cut a promo about the recent foiled terrorist attacks when Redford interrupted, much to the delight of the crowd. Redford hammered Storm from one side of the ring to the other but after moving out of the way of a flying body splash in the corner, Storm hit a wonderful german suplex with a bridge and got the pin on Redford. Paul Birchill vs. Umaga w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada This main event capped off a big edition of Uprising and Birchill took the fight to Umaga, looking like he might be able to pull off the win. But after being thrown into the air, Birchill fell to a Samoan drop. Umaga then set him down in the corner and smashed into him with his reverse posterior shot, jacking Birchill's head back. Fans were waiting for the big Samoan splash off the top rope but Umaga viciously took his thumb and put it in the mouth of Birchill, pulling like a madman. Birchill had no choice but to tap out to the unique submission move. Umaga and Estrada celebrated the win as the crowd loudly booed. RAMPAGE GOES LIVE
A SET OF HANDS IS SHOWN, FURIOUSLY TYPING ON A KEYBOARD AS STILL SHOTS FROM ANARCHY RULZ ARE DISPLAYED. THE ACTUAL COMMENTARY FROM THE EVENT CAN BE HEARD AS THE SET OF PHOTOS STARTS WITH REY MYSTERIO CELEBRATING WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE. IT GOES ON TO SHOW MONEY MIKE GETTING DECKED BY JASON OLIVER, WHO REVEALED HIMSELF AS THE STARMAN AND CONCLUDES WITH HIGH OCTANE PINNING TRAVIS WAKEMAN TO WIN HIS THIRD WORLD TITLE. "ACROSS THE NATION" PLAYS AND RAMPAGE's MONTAGE ROLLS BEFORE THE EXTREMELY NOISY ARENA COMES INTO VIEW AND PYRO BLASTS OFF THE STAGE. JERRY LAWLER AND JIM ROSS OPEN THINGS UP AND ARE HAVING A VERY HARD TIME TALKING OVER THE CROWD. Jim Ross: "One of the most shocking nights in TWF history is behind us in Anarchy Rulz and if tonight is anything like it King, we are in store for one helluva wild night"! Jerry Lawler: "No doubt about it J.R. and these people here in Worcester tonight can feel it"! "BOOYAKA 619" HITS AND REY MYSTERIO COMES OUT TO A MAJOR CHEER WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. J.R.: "And one of the surprises I just referred to was when this man, Rey Mysterio won the King of Cable title"! Lawler: "Nobody, myself included, thought Rey could defeat Jason Oliver inside a steel cage but he pulled it off in typical Rey Mysterio fashion... overcoming the odds"! THE FANS CHEER AGAIN WHEN JASON OLIVER COMES OUT TO HIS OLD MUSIC, "MIND SET" BY MERCY DRIVE. J.R.: "Well Jason Oliver made a great King of Cable champion and he has a chance to win the title back tonight but losing the title was small news compared to what he did later in the night"! Lawler: "I still can't believe it J.R.! After months and months of speculation, it turned out that this man was the man behind the mask of Starman"! J.R.: "And the question has to be asked King, what has that done to the Horsemen and why did Oliver do what he did"? TWF King of Cable Title Match Challenger: Jason Oliver vs. Rey Mysterio This was a great match and a great way to start off Rampage. Back and forth the action went as these two men with very different styles went all out for the title. Rey started out strong, using the momentum he captured at Anarchy Rulz and taking the fight to Oliver with his blazing speed. After being whipped to the corner, Rey jumped to the top rope and responded with a corkscrew attack. He then took out Oliver with a low dropkick before pulling him up. Oliver was able to reverse an irish whip but Rey countered with his wheelbarrow bulldog to get a 2 count. Rey again went to the top rope and flew off but Oliver was able to get up and pound him with a clothesline that took him out of mid air. Immediately, Oliver locked in a dragon sleeper and Rey was in a lot of trouble. Rey tried to fight the move he'd seen plenty of times throughout his career but he was fading fast. Then, out of sheer desperation, he kicked up twice and caught Oliver in the head, forcing him to break the hold. But Oliver came back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and made the cover but Rey was up at 2. Oliver whipped him to the corner and ran in with a clothesline but Rey moved and circled back, only to post his shoulder when Oliver moved. Oliver followed that up with a tremendous flying leg lariat and he made another cover to get another very near fall. Oliver knew he had the title within his reach but Rey was able to duck a clothesline after being whipped to the ropes before catching him with a springboard dropkick off the other side of the ropes. Rey then went to the apron and came off the top ring rope with his flying legdrop to the back of the head and he made the cover for the 1........2........., but Oliver was up. Rey couldn't believe it, going to the apron again. He flew off the top ring rope one more time, looking for the "West Coast Pop" but Oliver came forward to avoid contact and then caught Rey with the Stunner manuever he now calls the "Claymore". Oliver had the match won but suddenly, Stephanie McMahon had appeared at ringside. Oliver exchanged some words with the enraged Steph but the distraction allowed Rey to come from behind with a schoolboy to steal the win. Match Time: 9:49 J.R.: "Damn! No knock on Rey Mysterio folks, he was just taking advantage of a situation but Stephanie McMahon has absolutely no business out here"! Lawler: "Well what'd you expect after what Oliver did at Anarchy Rulz? He humilated Money Mike"! STEPHANIE WALKED AWAY, POINTING HER FINGER AT OLIVER IN A THREATENING MANNER AS HE STOOD IN THE RING. OLIVER THEN ASKED LILIAN GARCIA FOR HER MICROPHONE JUST AS THE SHOT FADED OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A COMMERCIAL FOR AXE BODY SPRAY IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR THE MOVIE "BEER BASH". RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... J.R.: "We're back on Rampage folks and Jason Oliver hasn't left the ring"! Jason Oliver: "Ya know, I should've seen that coming Steph, you and Mike are just that kind of people. But anyway, you might as well come back out here so you can hear this". Lawler: "What? He's calling Money Mike and Stephanie out here"?! J.R.: "That's sure what it sounds like, I....... THE FANS LOUDLY BOO AS MONEY MIKE AND STEPH APPEAR ON THE STAGE. And there they are"! Money Mike: "So let's hear it Oliver..... tell all these stupid fans your sob story"! Oliver: "See.... right there! That's why I did this Mike! Has it ever occurred to you how big of an asshole you are?! THE FANS CHEER I mean, you recruited me and told me we were going to re-establish the Horsemen name. I was all for that! I wasn't for it being the Money Mike Show with his three little sidekicks! I won the King of Cable, I started breaking away and what happened? You got jealous! You'll never admit it, you won't come right out and say it, but I could see it in your eyes Mike! At the Royal Rumble, you became the TWF champion for the first time and it was me..... me who helped you win that belt! I thought it would help turn you into the leader you needed to be. I thought it would turn you into the Ric Flair of all those years ago! But it turns out, you only got worse! You weren't Ric Flair, you weren't Tully Blanchard or any of the Andersons..... you were a joke! So what did I do? I took it back! Joe Corey was just an accomplice and even though Corey and I have never seen eye to eye, we had one thing in common and surprise, surprise, that's the fact that we both hate your guts! So he was more than happy to help. I loved seeing the torment in your eyes, I loved seeing you panic and when you took your little cruise, that was the most fun that myself, Carney and J.J. had as a group! We realized that we weren't the ones disgracing the Horsemen name..... you were"! Money Mike: "Good..... good for you Oliver, you can finally be the hero! But just keep in mind where you were before I decided to make you a Horsemen. And now that I have officially gotten a match with you at MeltDown through Mick Foley, you'll get your chance to put your money where your mouth is! But keep in mind where you were before you were a Horsemen and think about it good because after I kick the holy hell out of you at MeltDown..... you'll be right back in that spot"! MONEY MIKE GRABS STEPH BY THE HAND AND PULLS HER TO THE BACK AS THE CROWD BOOS. IN THE RING, OLIVER CAN ONLY CRACK A SMILE. J.R.: "I think this is exactly what Oliver wants..... he's got a match with Money Mike at MeltDown"! BACKSTAGE AREA...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW TRAVIS WAKEMAN IN HIS DRESSING ROOM, HIS HEAD DOWN AND A DISTRAUGHT LOOK ON HIS FACE AS MELINA COMES IN. Melina: "Oh... come on Trav, you can't keep...... Travis Wakeman: "Shut up Melina! Don't tell me how I should or should not feel. Because of you, I am no longer the World champ". Melina: "Because of me? How can...... Wakeman: "When Trish was here, I never lost. I never lost to anyone and sure as hell not someone like High Octane". Melina: "What if I can make it up"? Wakeman: "And how are you gonna do that"? Melina: "Just..... just give me a chance, I'll make it up". MELINA LEAVES THE ROOM IN A HURRY AS WAKEMAN JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD. BACK AT RINGSIDE, A NEW ENTRANCE THEME HITS AND SYLVESTER TERKAY COMES OUT. J.R.: "Ya gotta wonder what Melina has in mind but King, here comes a man who made his debut at Anarchy Rulz and even though Team Rampage was defeated, this man was sure impressive". Lawler: "Oh you bet he was, just ask Shelton Benjamin"! J.R.: "We saw a little bit of what this man, known throughout his career in mixed martial arts and the amatuer ranks as The Predator, can do and I look for him to make a big impact here on Rampage". Sylvester Terkay vs. Nick Berk (invitee) Terkay was just too much for Nick Berk, punishing him with his bruising style. After smashing Berk with a discus backhand that caught him right in the face, Terkay hit an impressive belly to belly suplex. He then shot Berk to the corner and followed in with a clothesline before picking him up for a powerbomb right on the top turnbuckle. Finally, Terkay locked in a submission hold in which he stepped over Berk's body and pulled at his right arm, getting him to tap out to stop the onslaught. Match Time: 3:08 Lawler: "That was total decimation J.R. and I don't know if I can remember a guy come through the TWF that impressed me more than this guy does". J.R.: "Like I said, expect big things from this guy and don't look for the line of guys willing to get into the ring with him to be too long". BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW CARNEY AND J.J. RAMPLIN TALKING WHEN WILLIAM REGAL COMES UP. William Regal: "Excuse me fellows, but I was wondering if I could have a moment of Mister Ramplin's time". Carney: "Uh... sure". CARNEY WALKS AWAY AS REGAL SHAKES RAMPLIN's HAND AND THEY WALK THE OTHER DIRECTION. BACK AT RINGSIDE, THE HART FAMILY MUSIC HITS AND SYLVAIN GRENIER COMES OUT WITH JIMMY HART WHO'S SUNGLASSES ARE COVERING A PRETTY NASTY BLACK EYE. J.R.: "Well here comes Sylvain Grenier with Jimmy Hart who took one heck of a beating at Anarchy Rulz, King". Lawler: "Yes he did and boy I hope the fans are happy about that". "WANNA KNOW" BY OBIE TRICE HITS, BRINGING MAX OGDEN OUT TO A BIG CHEER AND HE IS TAILED BY NONE OTHER THAN JAKE ROBERTS. J.R.: "Well tonight, Ogden will get the match he didn't get at Anarchy Rulz against his one time ally Sylvain Grenier but to counter Jimmy Hart, he's got a TWF Hall of Famer in his corner"! Lawler: "Yeah, a Hall of Famer who has a twenty foot long snake with him"! Sylvain Grenier w/ Jimmy Hart vs. Max Ogden w/ Jake Roberts Ogden entered the ring but as he talked something over with Roberts, Grenier attacked him from behind. Jimmy Hart shouted instructions through his megaphone as Grenier hammered at the back and back of the head of Ogden. Ogden avoided a clothesline off an irish whip then he ducked a backhand before scoring with a flying forearm. Ogden quickly went to the top rope and came off with a nice missile dropkick. A cover was made but Grenier was up at 2. Ogden pulled him up and whipped him to the rope, looking for a hurricanrana but Grenier countered with a sitdown powerbomb. Grenier then went to Hart who seemed to hand him some sort of foreign object. Roberts tried to alert referee Chad Patton but all this did was give Grenier the opening to use it. It was brass knucks and he took a swing at Ogden but missed and Ogden put him down with a tornado DDT. Hart decided to get on the apron and he was yelling at Ogden, asking him if he thought he was tough for beating him up at Anarchy Rulz. But Jake came over and yanked Hart down and he dropped his megaphone into the ring. Grenier struck Ogden from behind with a hard forearm and then bent down to pick up the megaphone. But as soon as he rose with it, Ogden caught him with the "Memory Maker" out of nowhere and just like that, it was over. Match Time: 3:03 J.R.: "Oh what a shot.... Max Ogden just delivered the Memory Maker and lately, he's created quite a few memories for his old comrades"! AS "WANNA KNOW" PLAYED, OGDEN PICKED UP THE MEGAPHONE AND LEFT THE RING WITH IT AS JAKE ROBERTS FOLLOWED HIM UP THE RAMP. Lawler: "Wait a minute.... he can't take that"! J.R.: "Well it doesn't look like anyone's stopping him"! COMMERCIAL BREAK......... A COMMERCIAL FOR MILKY WAY IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR RED BULL. RETURN FROM BREAK.... MICK FOLEY's OFFICE..... AS RAMPAGE RETURNS, PAUL HEYMAN IS IN THE OFFICE OF MICK FOLEY. Paul Heyman: "So as I was saying, my client, Joe Corey, will not agree to having a PrimeTime referee officiate his match with Jordan Rockwell at MeltDown so I suggest that you sir..... do something about that". HEYMAN WALKS OUT OF THE OFFICE. Mick Foley (shouting sarcastically): "Let me get right on that Paul"! JUST THEN, MELINA ENTERS THE OFFICE WITH A VIDEOTAPE IN HAND. Melina: "Hey Mick". Foley: "Well, Melina, what brings you to my office tonight". Melina: "Well, I have something to show you. As you know, Travis lost his World title at Anarchy Rulz but I have brought videotape proof that he deserves a rematch". Foley: "Is that so? Well pop it in that VCR there and let's take a look". MELINA MOVES OVER AND PUTS THE TAPE INTO THE VCR. THE TV ABOVE SHOWS HIGH OCTANE GET THE 3 COUNT ON WAKEMAN, BUT IT ALSO SHOWS WAKEMAN's FOOT WAS ON THE ROPE. MELINA PAUSES IT AT THAT FRAME. Foley: "Okay, I see what you mean. But there's one small problem. Wakeman had no rematch clause in the contract he signed for Anarchy Rulz. Now as much as I'd like to just give Wakeman another shot, John Cena is currently the number one contender. MELINA GETS AN UPSET LOOK ON HER FACE. But here's what I'll do. Later tonight, right here in Worcester, Massachusetts, I will sign a match between Cena and Wakeman and the winner will go on to MeltDown"! Melina: "Oh will you? Oh thank you Mick, thank you so much". Foley: "Have a nice day". THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE SEVERAL TAG TEAMS ARE WAITING FOR THE BATTLE ROYALE TO START. THE SPIRIT SQUAD's MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT LAST TO A LOT OF BOOS. J.R.: "What huge news that is! Wakeman versus Cena tonight"! Lawler: "Well Melina held true to her word, it looks like she's made it up to Wakeman"! J.R.: "Right now, we've got five tag teams ready to participate in a battle royale and King, the winners here will become number one contenders and that could be the Spirit Squad who shocked the world by defeating the Hardy Boyz at Anarchy Rulz"! Lawler: "And in a TLC match no less! I'm picking the Spirit Squad, laugh all you want, to win this tonight too"! J.R.: "It looks as if it will be Kenny and Johnny Jeter representing the Spirit Squad tonight but under the rules of this match, if your partner is eliminated, you are eliminated. Only one member of a team needs to be thrown over the top rope for the entire team to be out". #1 Contenders Tag Team Battle Royale The Spirit Squad vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. Hollywood Heat vs. Charlie Haas and Mackenzie Rose The bell sounded and there were 2 referees outside the ring to watch for eliminations. The 10 men all went at it in what quickly turned into a melee and The Spirit Squad quickly sought out the Hardy's. Matt Hardy and Johnny Jeter, one time allies, traded shots while Kenny choked Jeff in the corner. Trevor Murdoch, who was the runner up in the 2006 Royal Rumble, had Joey Mercury teetering on the top rope but Blaze came over to save his partner. Lance Cade drilled Blaze with a right hand and Murdoch went back to Mercury but Mackenzie Rose came from behind and dumped him out of the ring. Cade continued to hammer away at Blaze but was informed that his partner was out and he too left the ring. Mercury then went for a superkick on Charlie Haas but Haas moved and Mercury struck his own partner, knocking Blaze over the top rope! Haas and Rose then each grabbed Mercury and tossed him out as well. Haas and Rose then stood back as the Hardy's and Spirit Squad went at it but Ashley K. came running out and got up on the apron. Rose went over to her but Kenny came from behind with a dropkick to the back that took him out. Jeter kicked Jeff in the groin before throwing Matt shoulder first into the steel ring post. Kenny then went to the top rope, looking for his flying legdrop on Jeff. But Jeff was able to move out of the way. He then popped up and hit Johnny with a series of rights before pushing him right into his brother who put him down with the "Twist of Fate". Kenny got up but Matt and Jeff were waiting and a double clothesline knocked the 19 year old member of the Spirit Squad over the top rope, sounding the bell. Match Time: 8:05 J.R.: "That's it! The Hardy's have done it"! Lawler: "And what a way for the Hardy Boyz to redeem themselves"! J.R.: "They may've lost at Anarchy Rulz, but they have survived this battle royale, last eliminating the Spirit Squad and now, a title shot awaits"! MATT AND JEFF CELEBRATED THEIR WIN AS THEIR MUSIC PLAYED AND THE CROWD GAVE THEM A HUGE OVATION. BACKSTAGE..... CAMERAS SHOW TRAVIS WAKEMAN, STILL IN HIS DRESSING ROOM WHEN A VERY HAPPY MELINA ENTERS. WAKEMAN TURNS HIS SHOULDER TO HER. Melina: "Oh come on, I've got good news". Wakeman: "What is it"? Melina: "Well, I showed Foley the tape, ya know, where your feet were on the ropes, and he agreed to guve you a number one contender's match against John Cena...... tonight"! WAKEMAN CRACKS A SMILE AND STANDS UP, LOOKING AT MELINA. Wakeman: "Tonight? Me and Cena tonight huh? That's great....... WAKEMAN GRABS MELINA AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE's GOING TO KISS HER. I better go get ready". WAKEMAN WALKS OUT AND MELINA LOOKS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. VISCERA IS SHOWN IN THE RING, AWAITING HIS OPPONENT WHEN "LYING FROM YOU" BY LINKIN PARK HITS AND JOE COREY IS LED TO THE RING BY PAUL HEYMAN AS THE CROWD SHOWS THEIR FEELINGS FOR THEM WITH SOME SERIOUS BOOS. J.R.: "That match will be our main event tonight and here comes Joe Corey who will be occupying one of the feature matches at MeltDown". Lawler: "Oh yes, he and Jordan Rockwell are on a major collision course J.R. and I can't wait for that match"! J.R.: "Both men have said they will not compete if a referee from the other man's brand officiates the match so where does that leave it? Shane McMahon and Mick Foley are gonna have to put their heads together". Viscera vs. "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Paul Heyman Many fans were interested to see how Corey would attack the 490 pound Viscera. He started by going after his lower body, kicking at his legs. He thought he had him slowed down enough but after hitting the ropes, Viscera showed some of his amazing ability by hitting a rolling wheel kick that put Corey down hard. After smashing The Show in the corner with an avalanche splash, he hit a huge belly to belly suplex but after a cover, he could only get a 2 count. Viscera pulled him up but Corey went to the body with 2 punches before hitting the ropes and after ducking a clothesline, he took Vis down with a chop block to the back of the right knee. Corey followed up with several stomps to the knee. But Viscera got to his feet and after Corey bounced off the ropes, he put him down with a huge sidewalk slam. Vis then pulled him up and whipped him to the corner. Backing up and looking for full impact, Viscera charged in but Corey went low with a dropkick to the right kneecap. Viscera crumpled to the mat, yelling in pain as Corey moved in and somehow locked in The Cage. Viscera fought it with all he had but the pain became too much and he tapped out. Match Time: 6:11 J.R.: "And that does it. As impressive a victory as you will ever see, Corey just defeated the nearly five hundred pound Viscera with relative ease". Lawler: "He made him tap out, J.R.! Did you see that Rockwell"?! "LYING FROM YOU" PLAYED AGAIN AS HEYMAN CAME IN AND RAISED THE ARM OF COREY. J.R.: "Oh I'm sure he saw it and I'm sure he's ready. He'll have to be because I don't know if I've ever seen Corey look better than he has in recent weeks". COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR COKE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A USA PROGRAMMING AD FOR "MONK". RETURN FROM BREAK...... TWF RE-WIND SHOWS MARK HENRY HAVING HIS HAIR SHAVED AFTER LOSING TO CARLITO AT ANARCHY RULZ. Mark Henry and Finlay vs. Carlito and Matt Cruz Carlito and Cruz, one time bitter enemies, teamed up to take on the bruising duo of Henry and Finlay. Henry came out with his newly shaved head and didn't seem to take well to the fans' heckling. He demanded to get in the ring with Carlito but Carlito allowed Cruz to have the honors. Cruz was definitely too quick for the World's Strongest Man, but his tactics to get him off his feet fell short. Cruz could not muscle Henry up and after hitting the ropes, he ran directly into a clothesline from Henry that turned him inside out. After just standing on the chest of Cruz, Henry had some more words for Carlito before tagging into Finlay. Finlay systematically broke Cruz down with punches and kicks to the head and body. Cruz fell to a seated position in the corner and Finlay just crushed him with a running knee. After a delayed vertical suplex, Finlay switched out with Henry who continued to wear Cruz down. He then shot him to the ropes and picked him up in a bear hug. It was clear that Cruz was in a lot of trouble but the fans rallied him and he smashed Henry with 2 ear claps to free himself. Henry threw a wild clothesline but Cruz ducked and somersaulted to his corner, tagging in Carlito. Carlito hit the ropes and caught Henry with 3 straight clotheslines, rocking him back and forth. But Henry didn't go down and after Carlito hit the ropes again, he scooped him up and spun him around. But Carlito's feet caught referee Scott Martin, putting him on the mat. Henry slammed Carlito with authority before using both hands to choke him. Henry kept the hold on with Martin down and Finlay went over and grabbed his shillelagh with full intentions of using it. But wielding a steel chair, Cruz jabbed it into the ribs of Finlay before getting into the ring and smashing Henry across the back with it. Henry stood up but Cruz, showing a side of himself we have yet to see, whalloped Henry over the head with the chair, dropping him as Martin called for the bell. Match Time: 7:02 Lawler: "What the hell is Matt Cruz doing, he just got his team disqualified"! J.R.: "Frankly King, it doesn't look like he gives a damn! Cruz had seen enough and he did something about it, showing a real mean streak I might add"! HENRY AND FINLAY RETREATED AS CRUZ STOOD IN THE CENTER OF THE RING, STILL HOLDING THE CHAIR AND CHALLENGING THEM TO COME BACK. Lawler: "Yeah, well he's a real tough guy with that chair but something tells me he'll pay for what he just did"! BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW MUHAMMAD HASSAN AND ROB STORM CARRYING ON A CONVERSATION AND THEY SEEM TO BE GETTING ALONG VERY WELL. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS" IS PLAYING AND HIGH OCTANE HAS MADE HIS WAY OUT TO THE BROADCAST TABLE IN STREET CLOTHES. HE SETS THE WORLD TITLE UP ON THE TABLE AND GRABS A SEAT. J.R.: "It's main event time here on Rampage and joining us at the broadcast position is our new TWF World champion Damion West and Damion, I gotta ask you, how did it feel to have the fans vote you into that match at Anarchy Rulz"? High Octane: "Well I gotta tell ya J.R., these people are great, nothing was given to me, like a second chance after I got beat"! THE FANS GIVE A MOSTLY FAVORABLE RESPONSE WHEN "THE TIME IS NOW" HITS AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT. J.R.: "Ooook..... and now we now that you will face the winner of this match at MeltDown in what...... High Octane: "Oh come on J.R., we both know that it should be me against Cena at MeltDown. Cena won the number one contendership fair and square, I won the World title fair and square, am I missing something here"? "MAKE WAY" BY METHOD MAN KICKS UP AND THE LOVELY MELINA COMES OUT IN A BLACK TANK TOP AND SHORT BLACK SKIRT AND SHE IS FOLLOWED BY TRAVIS WAKEMAN WHO THE FANS CHEER VERY LOUDLY FOR. Lawler: "Wait a minute, am I sensing some tension between you and Travis Wakeman"? High Octane: "You're damn right you are King. Did I go to Mick Foley and whine and cry when I lost at WrestleMania? I mean, I could've, he choked me out in that match..... isn't that illegal? And ya know, I wouldn't have such a problem with it if he asked for the rematch himself, like a man but he had that..... that bitch do it for him". J.R.: "Okay, come on now. Are you honestly saying you don't think Wakeman deserves a rematch"? High Octane: "Did I get one? I had to wait four months for a rematch and I won..... feet on the ropes or not"! J.R.: "Well if Wakeman can get by Cena here, you'll have to do it again". #1 Contender's Match John Cena vs. Travis Wakeman w/ Melina Both men looked very intense as the bell sounded, knowing the circumstances involved in this match. They circled one another, looking for a spot to attack before just locking up. Wakeman went into a standing hammerlock but Cena dropped to a knee and flipped Wakeman over his back. But Cena didn't stay mat wrestling long with the Technical Magician, smashing him with a clothesline before delivering a backdrop suplex. Already sensing Wakeman was in trouble, Melina got on the apron but Cena grabbed her by the hair. She let out a shreeking scream as Cena pulled her over the top rope and into the ring. But this allowed Wakeman to come from behind with a shot to the back and as Melina rolled out of the ring, Wakeman hit a sleeper slam on Cena. He made the cover but only got a 2 count. Wakeman tried to set up the Round Table, his signature submission hold but Cena had it scouted and fought out of it. Cena then used his foot to push Wakeman to the mat before getting up, hitting the ropes and slamming into Wakeman with a flying shoulder tackle. After his sidewinder style suplex slam, Cena connected with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. But just for good measure, he did it again. Cena then pulled Wakeman up and the crowd seemed divided in half on who they were rooting for. Cena got Wakeman up for the "F-U" but Wakeman grabbed the top rope to block it. Cena fought to get him off but Wakeman took his elbow and drove it into the head of Cena. He then shot Cena to the corner and followed in with a clothesline but Cena moved, lifted him up and delivered the F-U! He fell into the cover for the 1........2........., but just before referee Jim Korderas' hand slammed down for a third time, Melina yelled that Wakeman's foot was on the bottom rope. It appeared that she may've put it there but Cena thought he'd won the match. Korderas had to inform him that the match wasn't over. Cena went back to Wakeman, who was acting like he was in a lot of pain but when Cena grabbed him, Wakeman countered into a small package and got a quick 3 count to win the match as a stunned Cena couldn't believe it! Melina came in and jumped into Wakeman's arms but he quickly put her down. Match Time: 9:24 J.R.: "He got him! A great counter there by Wakeman as Cena took his eye off the ball there King"! High Octane: "Took his eye off the ball? He won this match with the F-U but you saw what that..... that....... J.R.: "Please don't say it again"! HIGH OCTANE REMOVES HIS HEADSET AND GRABS A MICROPHONE. Lawler: "Wait a minute, where's he going"?! High Octane: "Hey Wakeman....... you got what you want? You got another shot at me. What's your excuse gonna be this time? Or better yet, what are you gonna do Melina...... sell yourself on the streets so he can get another title shot"! J.R.: "Hey..... that's enough"! JUST THEN, MICK FOLEY COMES OUT FROM THE BACK WITH A MICROPHONE. Mick Foley: "Enough! That's enough of this crap! High Octane, like it or not, the match is on for MeltDown! But I've made a huge decision regarding that match. You've each defeated the other man one time and I think this whole thing needs to come to an end at MeltDown! So it will be High Octane defending the TWF World title against Travis Wakeman in a Three Stages of Hell match! Have a nice day"! J.R.: "Did you hear that King! Oh that is huge"! HIGH OCTANE AND WAKEMAN ARE EACH SHOW, STARING AT THE OTHER AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. OFF AIR.......
