Nationwide Arena

Columbus, Ohio

Attendance: 10,286

December 20, 2006

It had been nearly 4 years since Rampage came to the Nationwide Arena and they were welcomed by a massive Ohio crowd.

Kenny Doane vs. Charlie Haas

After giving Batista a run for his money last week, Doane looked to make a name for himself in singles action but the amatuer standout from Seton Hall, Charlie Haas, wasn't about to have it. After a big powerslam, Haas got a 2 count. He picked Doane up and set him on the top turnbuckle, looking to bring him off with a superplex. But Doane punched his way out of it and pushed Haas to the mat before flying off with his big legdrop to pick up a huge win for himself.

Harry Smith vs. Viscera

Viscera was way too slow to keep up with the young Smith, who hit him with everything. But after getting a head of steam, Smith thought he could bodyslam the big man and behind the crowd's encouragement, he went for it. But the 487 pounder was too much mass, falling onto Smith and he couldn't kick out, giving the match to Big Vis.

RAMPAGE GOES LIVE

*THIS EDITION OF RESULTS WILL BE CONDENSED DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS*

RAMPAGE COMES ON THE AIR SHOWING FOOTAGE FROM LAST WEEK. AFTER DEFEATING PSYCHOSIS, TRAVIS WAKEMAN IS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY MARK HRENY WHO THEN TURNS HIS WRATH ON MELINA, PUTTING HER DOWN WITH THE WORLD's STRONGEST SLAM!

THE OPENING MONTAGE ROLLS SHOWING MOST ALL OF RAMPAGE's SUPERSTARS IN ACTION WHILE "TO BE LOVED" PLAYS.

JIM ROSS AND JERRY LAWLER OPEN THE SHOW AMID AN IMPRESSIVE PYRO DISPLAY. J.R. SUGGESTS THAT MARK HENRY WILL HAVE HELL TO PAY TONIGHT WHILE THEY SHOW A PROMO FOR TONIGHT's MAIN EVENT, ROB VAN DAM VS. THE KING OF THE TWF, MONEY MIKE.

SUDDENLY, THE CROWD GOES WILD AS "ENTER SANDMAN" BY METALLICA PLAYS AND SANDMAN APPEARS IN ONE OF THE HIGH LEVELS OF THE STANDS, BASHING A BEER CAN AGAINST HIS OWN HEAD AND CARRYING A SINGAPORE CANE.

J.R. SAYS THAT SANDMAN IS NOT UNDER TWF CONTRACT, HE IS JUST AN "ECW ORIGINAL" THAT PAUL HEYMAN AND JOE COREY HAVE SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED A MATCH AGAINST.

LAWLER REMINDS EVERYONE THAT SANDMAN WAS VERY INFLUENTIAL IN COSTING COREY POSSESSION OF THE ECW WORLD TITLE.

The Sandman vs. "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Paul Heyman

Sandman came into the ring and took out a beer can but Corey slapped it out of his hands. Sandman responded with a haymaker but Corey came back with a knee to the gut. Corey would control the match for the next several minutes, putting Sandman down with a spinebuster. Corey then went to the middle turnbuckle and walked the ropes, looking for an elbow drop. But Sandman rolled out of the way and kicked Corey in the midsection before whipping him to the corner. But Sandman saw Heyman grab his Singapore cane so he grabbed an end. The two engaged in a tug of war which Sandman easily won before using the cane for the White Russian Leg Sweep. But Corey had that one scouted and he elbowed his way out of it and then kicked Sandman in the gut before hitting the "Showstopper" for the academic 3 count.

COMMERCIAL BREAK.........

RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE......

AS RAMPAGE RETURNS, CAMERAS ROB VAN DAM TALKING WITH MAX OGDEN AND CANDICE, BUT IT CAN'T MAKE OUT WHAT's BEING SAID.

Matt "Madik" Cruz vs. Taylor Made w/ Kelly

This was a rematch from the King of the Ring qualifying round and Taylor was looking for a measure of revenge. He brought the vivacious Kelly to the ring with him and went right at Cruz. But Cruz had little problem taking him to the mat using his amatuer background. After an overhead throw, Cruz smashed Taylor with a clothesline. Cruz had Taylor in a lot of trouble but Taylor blocked a german suplex. Cruz hammered him with 2 forearms to the back of the head but that's when Kelly became an asset. She got up on the apron, luring Cruz over but when he grabbed her by the hair, she smacked him across the face. Cruz flew into a rage and went after the beautiful blonde but Taylor came off the apron with a flying axe handle. Cruz traded shots with him as referee Jack Doan was counting. Taylor went for an irish whip but Cruz reversed it and sent him hard into the ringside barricade. He then went after him but Taylor backdropped him into the crowd. Taylor then grabbed Kelly by the hand and they made their way out, not even trying to beat the count. Jack Doan called for the bell and a double count out as Cruz stood in the crowd, looking on in anger.

BACKSTAGE.......

TODD GRISHAM IS SHOWN STANDING WITH TRAVIS WAKEMAN

Todd Grisham: "Champ, if I could get a word with you, I'd just like your thoughts on what the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry did to Melina last week here on Rampage".

Travis Wakeman: "What the hell do you think my thoughts are Todd?! What kind of man are you Mark Henry? If you wanted my attention, you got it. If you wanted a match with me, all you had to do was ask! But tonight, I'm gonna go to that ring and I'm gonna call you out, Mark Henry! Then, you'll get your chance to show the entire world what kind of man you are"!

WAKEMAN QUICKLY WALKS OFF AS THE SHOT IS SENT BACK TO THE RING.

Umaga w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada vs. Rey Mysterio

As is any Rey Mysterio match, this was the classic mismatch. But the veteran Rey baited the big Samoan into several unfavorable spots, gaining the advantage with some very quick strikes. After kicking Umaga in the thighs, trying to knot them up, Rey hit the ropes looking for his wheelbarrow bulldog but Umaga blocked it and just through him across the ring. Umaga then slowed the pace, using headbutts and a thrust to the throat. After an incredible beal, Umaga set Rey in a seated position in the corner. Looking for a move indicative of his Samoan Bulldozer moniker, Umaga charged in and tried to use his posterior to pound Rey. But Rey moved and then dropkicked Umaga in the back, knocking him in between the top and middle ring rope before smashing him with the 6-1-9. But when he went for the 6-1-9, the unshakeable Umaga came back with the Samoan Spike right to the throat and Rey fell to the mat like a ton of bricks. Umaga covered him, very nonchalantly at that, and still got the 3 count.

RETURN FROM BREAK.... MUHAMMAD HASSAN's OFFICE......

WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, MATT CRUZ, STILL STEAMING FROM WHAT HAPPENED IN HIS MATCH, COMES INTO MUHAMMAD HASSAN's OFFICE.

Matt Cruz: "Hassan"!

Muhammad Hassan: "That would be Mister Hassan to you, what can I do for you"?

Cruz: "Look, I've made it no secret that I don't like you and I never will! But I can't stand things around here the way they are anymore! I am a former NCAA wrestling champion and I should be getting more exposure on this damn show"!

Hassan: "Oh, what a surprise this is. I thought you were too proud to behave this way, Cruz. Anyway, I might be willing to help you, providing you are willing to accept my idea of reform".

CRUZ TAKES A DEEP SIGH AND CLOSES THE DOOR TO THE OFFICE, INDICATING HE IS WILLING TO LISTEN.

Sylvester Terkay vs. Paul Birchill

It looked like this one would be over quickly after Terkay clocked Pirate Birchill with a right hand but Birchill got a foot on the rope to stop the 3 count. Terkay continued his assault, pounding Birchill with punches and kicks to the head and body. But after being whipped to the corner, Birchill moved out of the way of a charging Terkay and then hit a jumping facebuster. Birchill then got down on the mat with Terkay, working on his right arm. But Terkay was able to fight through his submission attempts and after yanking Birchill's right arm, trying to pull it out of the socket, Terkay kicked in an upward motion, catching the point of Birchill's elbow. Terkay then picked Birchill up and delivered the Muscle Buster. But that wasn't enough. From there, Terkay locked in his standing triangle armbar and Birchill had no choice but to tap out. It was an emphatic end for the man who reached the finals of the Rampage side of the King of the Ring tournament.

BACKSTAGE.......

LUYU DAWNSTAR IS SHOWN GETTING READY FOR HER MATCH WHEN SHELTON BENJAMIN COMES UP.

Shelton Benjamin: "Hey Luyu, what's up"?

Luyu Dawnstar: "Oh, hey Shelton".

Benjamin: "I just wanted to say thanks for coming to the ring and all last week when Money, Inc. was trying to beat me down. Kinda funny seein' all them run from a........

Luyu: "A girl? Honestly, Shelton, I did that more for me than I did for you. Tatanka and I have a settle to score, no matter if I am a girl, and Jillian, she's just....... ugh".

Benjamin: "Okay, well good luck in your match tonight".

TRAVIS WAKEMAN COMES TO THE RING AND, AS PROMISED, HE CALLS OUT MARK HENRY. "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" BY THREE 6 MAFIA COMES ON AND HENRY QUICKLY RESPONDS.

AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING, WAKEMAN LEAVES THE RING AND MEETS HIM IN THE AISLE, TRADING PUNCHES WITH HIM. BUT WAKEMAN GETS THE BEST OF THE WORLD's STRONGEST MAN, ROCKING HIM WITH RIGHT HAND AFTER RIGHT HAND. BUT HENRY IS ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF HIS HAND AND WHIP HIM AS HARD AS HE CAN INTO THE STEEL RING STEPS. WAKEMAN CRASHES INTO THEM, KNOCKING THEM OVER. FROM THERE, HENRY ROLLS WAKEMAN INTO THE RING AND FOLLOWS HIM IN BEFORE DELIVERING THE WORLD's STRONGEST SLAM.

BOOS HANG OVER THE ARENA BUT HENRY ISN'T DONE. HE GOES OUTSIDE AND GETS A TABLE FROM UNDER THE RING BEFORE SLIDING IT IN AND SETTING IT UP. AFTER LAYING WAKEMAN ONTO IT, HENRY CLIMBS TO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE. AS THE CROWD WATCHED IN AWE, HENRY FLEW OFF, GETTING TREMENDOUS ELEVATION FOR A MAN HIS SIZE, AND SLAMMED RIGHT THROUGH WAKEMAN AND THE TABLE.

THE CROWD IS STUNNED AND WAKEMAN IS OBVIOUSLY HURT AS HENRY STANDS OVER HIM, ARMS RAISED AND "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" PLAYS AGAIN.

COMMERCIAL BREAK.........

RETURN FROM BREAK.......

FOOTAGE IS SHOWN FROM DURING THE BREAK OF TRAVIS WAKEMAN BEING TAKEN OUT OF THE ARENA ON A STRETCHER AND LOADED INTO AN AMBULANCE IN THE PARKING GARAGE.

BACKSTAGE......

IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, MARK HENRY IS SHOWN WITH THE MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION WHO IS CLAPPING AND CHEERING. TED DIBIASE HANDS HENRY A BLACK BRIEFCASE.

Ted Dibiase: "Here ya go.... you earned it big man"!

DIBIASE LETS OUT HIS TRADEMARK LAUGH AS HENRY POPS OPEN THE BRIEFCASE TO SHOW A VERY LARGE SUM OF CASH.

Mark Henry: "I told ya'll! I told ya'll I would do this! Now, I just have to figure out what to do with a hundred grand"!

THE CORPORATION CHEERS BUT THEIR CHEERS STOP WHEN BATISTA COMES UP BEHIND HENRY.

Batista: "I bet you're pretty proud of what you just did, aren't ya, taking out the World champ like that".

Henry: "You're damn right I am"!

Batista: "Good, now let's see you do it to me next week, if you accept my challenge for a match that is".

BATISTA WALKS AWAY AND HENRY JUST LOOKS ON, SEEMINGLY FORGETTING ABOUT THE MONEY.

Irwin R. Schyster: "Can you imagine how many cheeseburgers that would buy"?

Henry: "Hey, what was that"?!

I.R.S.: "Nothin', nothin' at all".

Henry: "Yeah, that's what I thought".

Mystical vs. Luyu Dawnstar

Luyu Dawnstar's first TWF test was against a very formidable former Women's champion. Mystical was not at all impressed by Luyu, starting the match with a disrespectful slap. But a cool, calm and collect Luyu just backed off before locking up with her, where she proceeded to completely outwrestle Mystical. After a standing snapmare, Luyu kicked Mystical right in the back followed by a snap neckbreaker move. Luyu forced Mystical into the corner where she smashed her chest with some bruising knifegde chop. After whipping her to the corner, Luyu came in with a tumbling back elbow but Mystical moved. After a kick to the gut, Mystical shot her to the ropes but she put her head down too early and Luyu connected with an incredible floatover DDT. She followed that up with her own T-Bone suplex, known as the "Eagle's Landing" and she covered her for the 1.........2.......3.

Match Time: 6:22

But after the match, Luyu was confronted by Tatanka, in the ring, who backed her down only for Jillian Hall to run in from the other side and drill her from behind. With Tatanka helping to hold her down, Jillian got several shots in on Luyu when Shelton Benjamin ran out to make the save, returning the favor from last week. Tatanka and Jillian were out of the ring quickly, inciting a slew of boos from the Columbus crowd.

BACKSTAGE.......

MATT CRUZ IS SHOWN WALKING DOWN A HALLWAY WHEN HE RUNS INTO LENNY ARMSTEAD.

Lenny Armstead: "Hey Madik, what's uh........

Cruz: "Don't worry about it, I'm looking for someone".

Armstead: "Look man, I know what you're doing and you can save your time. Muhammad Hassan sent me to tell you that he doesn't need you tonight. In fact, he said to take the rest of the night off".

Cruz: "What?! Then what did just..... man I knew I didn't like that guy"!

CRUZ WALKS OFF TOWARDS THE ARENA EXIT AND ARMSTEAD JUST LAUGHS TO HIMSELF.

Non-Title Match

Carlito vs. King of Cable Rob Storm>

The title wasn't on the line, but these two men went right at each other, looking for a quick knockout shot. Storm missed with a superkick and Carlito pulled him down with the backcracker. But before he could make the cover, J.J. Ramplin hit the ring, attacking him in the same manner he did last week in the backstage area. Referee Chad Patton called for the bell, disqualifying Storm. But Carlito soon succumbed to the 2 on 1 odds. Storm and Ramplin were each getting their shots in but from the back came Jason Oliver to a huge cheer. Oliver hit the ring, knocking Storm down with a right hand before clotheslining The Ram. Both men slid out of the ring as Oliver helped Carlito up and the two of them dared the others to come back in.

Match Time: 5:45

COMMERCIAL BREAK.......

RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE.....

AS RAMPAGE RETURNS, MAX OGDEN AND CANDICE ARE TALKING WHEN JOE COREY COMES UP.

Corey: "Hey Ogden, can I have a minute with you?

OGDEN TURNS TO TALK TO HIM.

I know everyone saw you talking with RVD earlier, and I sure hope that you're not......

Max Ogden: "Corey, save it man. I'm gonna do whatever I want, when I want to do it and your threats sure as hell aren't gonna stop me".

OGDEN WALKS AWAY, PULLING CANDICE BY THE HAND.

Corey (to himself): "We'll see about that".

J.R. gives an update on the condition of Travis Wakeman, saying he has been taken to a local Columbus hospital and the early diagnosis is that he has at least 5 cracked ribs.

CAMERAS IN THE BACK FIND MONEY MIKE AND STEPHANIE McMAHON ON THEIR WAY TO THE RING. A MEMBER OF THE STAGECREW DOESN'T SEE THEM COMING AND BUMPS INTO MONEY MIKE.

Crew member: "Sorry about that".

Money Mike: "You're sorry? Oh I think you'll be more than sorry. This is the King of the TWF that you are looking at..... on your knees, dog"!

MIKE POINTS AT THE GROUND BUT THE CREW MEMBER JUST STANDS THERE.

Stephanie: "Get on your knees"!

AT THE SOUND OF THAT, THE MAN GETS DOWN ON HIS KNEES AS MIKE AND STEPH JUST WALK BY HIM AND THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING.

Money Mike w/ Stephanie McMahon vs. Rob Van Dam

RVD was very over with the crowd, but Mike quickly quieted them with a sneak attack from behind. Mike pounded on RVD in the corner with rapid fire punches and boots to the chest area. He pulled him up and shot him to the ropes but Van Dam avoided a clothesline and scored with a spinning heel kick. After the Rolling Thunder, Mike was in a lot of trouble. But when he went to the top rope, Mike pulled referee Jim Korderas out of position as Stephanie shoved him off. But just then, Candice ran out and grabbed Stephanie, whipping her to the floor! Korderas became distracted by this when Max Ogden came through the crowd and hit Money Mike with the "Memory Maker"! The crowd came to their feet as RVD went to the top rope, flying off with the "5 Star Frogsplash". Korderas turned and the crowd counted together, 1........2..........3!

Match Time: 6:24

RVD had defeated the King, but the celebration didn't last long. Wielding a Singapore cane of his own, Joe Corey hit the ring and cracked both RVD and Ogden over the head with it. Mike then got in on the act and as Corey belted RVD with the cane up to 10 times, Mike waited for a bloody Ogden to get up before wrapping a steel chair around his head. A looked like a scene out of a horror film. RVD and Ogden were bloodied and beaten as Money Mike and Joe Corey stood over them in the ring, very satisfied with their work.
