January 10, 2007
This was the 4th Rampage held in Texas within the last year and many of the superstars spent up to 5 days down there. Fans were extremely hyped for this show, which got started with Uprising, which contained a full slate of matches.
Non-Title Match Mystical vs. Women's Champion Ashley K. After a flying headscissor and a spinning heel kick, Ashley looked like she was well on her way to victory. But Ashley's suddenly budding rival Mickie James decided to come out, triggering a war of words. Mystical, a former Women's champion herself, took advantage by rolling Ashley up for behind to get the pin, winning her first match in quite some time. Ken Kennedy vs. 2 Cold Scorpio (invitee) Many of the fans recognized Scorpio, a superstar once considered one of the most exciting in the business. They really got on his side when he interrupted Kennedy's schtick on the mic but Kennedy made him pay for it. After a swinging neckbreaker, Kennedy showed his versatility by catching Scorpio with a flying roundhouse kick to the head. That led to the "Ken-Ton Bomb" and Kennedy hooked the leg for the 3 count. After the match, he proudly announced himself the winner before dropping the microphone on Scorpio's chest. Sylvester Terkay vs. Paul Birchill The main event of Uprising featured a very competitive, technical match between Terkay and Birchill. Birchill looked strong early, but after a belly to belly suplex, Terkay used his size to wear the pirate down with submission moves. Birchill was able to somehow escape a bear hug with an ear clap before hitting the ropes and ducking a clothesline. But when he went for a crossbody, Terkay caught him and tried to spin him around into a swinging sideslam but Birchill countered into a small package to get a huge win. Terkay was clearly upset as Birchill left with his arms raised. RAMPAGE GOES LIVE
RAMPAGE OPENS UP DIRECTLY IN THE OFFICE OF MUHAMMAD HASSAN, WHO IS SEATED AT HIS DESK, THE CAMERA RIGHT UP ON HIS FACE. Muhammad Hassan: "Before we proceed with tonight's edition of Rampage, I have an announcement to make concerning the TWF World title. Travis Wakeman, I know you say you have five cracked ribs right now, but as the champion, you are required to defend that title when you are scheduled to defend it. So at the Royal Rumble, you will defend the title against Mark Henry, cracked ribs or not. And if you don't, you will be stripped of it"! THE SHOT FADES OUT AS THE CROWD INSIDE THE ARENA CAN BE HEARD BOOING. RAMPAGE's OPENING MONTAGE THEN KICKS UP AS "TO BE LOVED" PLAYS. THE CAMERA SETS ON ERWIN CENTER, WHICH BECOMES ILLUMINATED BY FIREWORKS AND PYRO OF WHICH THE SOUND IS NEARLY DROWNED OUT BY ALL THE SCREAMING FANS. THE CHEERING GETS EVEN LOUDER AS "SUPERSTAR" BY SALIVA HITS AND JASON OLIVER COMES OUT TO A HUGE RESPONSE ALONG WITH STACY SNOW. Jim Ross: "Welcome to TWF Rampage here on USA and we will get to that statement made by our general manager lately but we're going straight to the action.... King of Cable title on the line"! Jerry Lawler: "And here comes Jason Oliver with the lovely Stacy Snow and I talked to this guy earlier today, J.R., he said he'd be bringing his good luck charm to the ring and I guess he meant Stacy"! THE CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM HITS AND BOOS ARE HEARD UNANIMOUSLY AS ROB STORM MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. J.R.: "A golden oppurtunity here for Oliver, a former King of Cable champion himself and we've seen the differences between these two men lately as well, King". Lawler: "Well I was checking things out today, J.R., and do you realize that the ratings for Rampage have gone up significantly in Canada since Storm became King of Cable"? J.R.: "Well I don't know about that, they might go up even higher if Oliver can win the title tonight. He's a resident of Canada too, ya know"? TWF King of Cable Title Match Challenger: Jason Oliver w/ Stacy Snow vs. Rob Storm The bell sounded and Jason Oliver looked very confident as he approached Storm. Storm had some words for him and tried to sneak in a right hand but Oliver blocked it, coming back with 2 of his own. Off an irish whip, Oliver delivered a backbody drop before running Storm over with a clothesline. Storm slid out of the ring to regroup as the fans cheered. Taking his time to get back in the ring, Storm went to get in on 3 seperate occassions, pulling back each time. Oliver kept his cool but after a fourth time, Oliver went to pull him back in and Storm got a thumb to the eye in. He came into the ring and rocked Oliver with 2 stiff european uppercuts but Oliver was able to reverse an irish whip, sending Storm for the ride. But Storm returned with a dropkick to the left knee cap, buckling the knee of Oliver. From there, Storm grabbed the left leg and turned Oliver over with the Canadian Maple Leaf. Fortunately for Oliver, he was close enough to the ring ropes to grab it and earn a break. Storm picked him up and whipped him to the corner but as he ran in, Oliver stuck a big boot in his face before taking him to the mat with a flipping armbar takedown. Storm was in a lot of trouble, only being saved by getting a knee into the side of the head of Oliver. Storm then saw Stacy outside the ring and he went and grabbed her by the arm, trying to pull her into the ring. Oliver came over to get Storm off but referee Jack Doan got in the middle of it, trying to seperate Storm and Stacy. Just then, everyone in the crowd rose to their feet as a large man stood in the ring after coming through the audience. Oliver turned around and was kicked right in the face, knocking him out cold! The man got out of the ring as Storm turned and topped Oliver to get the 1.......2......3. Match Time: 5:21 J.R.: "Who the hell is that?! Is that a fan?! Some man just came into the ring and kicked Oliver's head off! Where's security"! AS THE CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM PLAYED, STORM GRABBED THE TITLE BELT AND LEFT AFTER HAVING HIS HAND RAISED BY THE MAN. Lawler: "It's definitely not a fan, J.R...... look at that"! J.R.: "This was a damn set up! Whoever the hell this guy is just cost Jason Oliver the title"! THE SHOT FADED OUT WHILE STACY WAS IN THE RING, CHECKING ON OLIVER. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A PROMO FOR THE 30 MAN ROYAL RUMBLE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A COMMERCIAL FOR CHILI's RESTAURANTS. RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE AREA...... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, KRISTAL IS RUNNING IN THE BACK TO ROB STORM AND THE MAN WHO JUST ATTACKED JASON OLIVER. Kristal: "Storm..... Storm, can you tell us who this man is? We all saw what just happened". STORM AND THE MAN STOP AND TURN TO KRISTAL. STORM GRABS THE MIC OUT OF HER HANDS. Rob Storm: "Kristal..... this is my new personal hitman, Aldo Corleone! You like how that felt, Oliver?! There is much more of it where that came from as long as you keep sticking your nose in my business! I am Canada's favorite son and yes, I may be outspoken against this country, but as a fellow Canadian, you can choose to be with me........ or against us"! STORM WALKS OFF AS THE CAMERA GETS ONE MORE SHOT OF CORLEONE. BACK IN THE RING, VISCERA's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND HE IS HAVING SOME FUN WITH THE CROWD WHEN "NUMBER OF THE BEAST" BY IRON MAIDEN COMES ON AND OUT COMES J.J. RAMPLIN, ALONG WITH WILLIAM REGAL. J.R.: "So it appears Rob Storm has gone out and recruited what he called a personal hitman and he is Aldo Corleone". Lawler: "And Jason Oliver has become the first man to have a hit taken out on him"! J.R.: "J.J. Ramplin set for action here against the near five hundred pound Viscera and as much as I hate to admit it, William Regal has sure helped get this kid going in the right direction". Lawler: "Well you can learn a lot from a guy like Regal and Ramplin has done just that, translating it into plenty of marks in the win column of late"! Viscera vs. J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin w/ William Regal The bell sounded to start the match and Ramplin came right at the big man, but his shots handed little effect. After landing three right hands, he tried to cut him down with a chop block, but it only staggered Viscera. He then hit the ropes and Vis took him out with a rolling wheel kick. He made the cover and got a very, very near fall. Regal looked concerned as Ramplin had Viscera fall onto him with a big elbow drop. Vis pulled him up and shot him to the corner but missed with an avalanche splash. Ramplin tried to capitalize with a bodyslam but Vis just fell onto him and again, got a long 2 count. Vis then went for a big splash but luckily for The Ram, he rolled out of the way. He then hit the ropes but Vis got to his feet and put him down with a nasty swinging sideslam. Regal got up on the apron after sliding a steel chair into the ring and when Viscera turned around, he pulled him down throat first over the top ring rope. Referee Jose Mendez saw this and called for the bell. But in the ring, Ramplin jabbed Viscera in the ribs with the chair and Regal ran in, drilling him with a running knee to the side of the head. With Viscera on one knee, Ramplin took a giant swing with the chair, knocking the big man over as the impact echoed throughout. Match Time: 4:11 J.R.: "My God, did you hear that chair shot! J.J. Ramplin just scrambled the brains of Viscera with that"! Lawler: "Well he lost the match by disqualification, but he got in the last word here"! RAMPLIN AND REGAL LEFT TO PLENTY OF BOOS AS MENDEZ CHECKED ON VISCERA. J.R.: "This kid is developing a real mean streak"! BACKSTAGE...... MATT CRUZ IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, DEEP IN THOUGHT, WHEN LENNY ARMSTEAD WALKS UP. Lenny Armstead: "Hey Cruz, I know we're opponents in that six man later tonight, but I hope I got through to you last week. I hope I woke you up to the fact that you've lost your soul, man. Muhammad Hassan is only one man, you don't have to give in........ JUST THEN, CRUZ STANDS UP AND HE's NOSE TO NOSE WITH ARMSTEAD. BUT AFTER A TENSE MOMENT, CRUZ JUST WALKS AWAY WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING. AS THE SHOT GOES BACK INTO THE ARENA, "LYING FROM YOU" BY LINKIN PARK PLAYS AND OUT COMES JOE COREY, ALONG WITH PAUL HEYMAN. THE DUO WALKS INTO THE RING WHILE BEING LOUDLY BOOED AND PAUL HEYMAN GETS THE MICROPHONE FROM LILIAN GARCIA. J.R.: "Joe Corey and Paul Heyman, not very popular amongst this Austin, Texas crowd, but they aren't very popular no matter where we go". Lawler: "People just have a problem with success for some reason, J.R.". Paul Heyman: "A few months ago, it was the brainchild of both Joe Corey and myself to resurrect one of the greatest entities this business has ever seen...... ECW. But, problem was, we..... I went the wrong way about achieving it". HEYMAN HANDS THE MIC TO COREY AS THE FANS BOO SOME MORE. Joe Corey: "It started with Tommy Dreamer, then on to Sandman. Last week, I defeated Sabu with relative ease and there is only one man left...... Rob Van Dam. THE CROWD CHEERS AT THE MENTION OF RVD's NAME. So Rob, as you can see, all I need now is something you stole from me..... the ECW title"! J.R.: "He didn't steal it, he just outsmarted you". Corey: "So Rob, the time for talk is over. I've gone through all of your ECW originals, and all I have left is you. So get out here now and let's settle this"! COREY DROPS THE MIC AND HEYMAN GETS OUT OF THE RING. Lawler: "Sounds like a call out to me"! SECONDS LATER, "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND RVD COMES OUT IN SHORTS AND A T-SHIRT. J.R.: "And we're not gonna be kept waiting, here comes RVD"! VAN DAM RUNS DOWN THE RAMP AND SLIDES INTO THE RING. COREY IS ALL OVER HIM WITH BOOTS TO THE BACK BUT RVD FIGHTS BACK, PUNCHING HIM IN THE STOMACH. THE TWO TRADE SHOTS BUT BOOS ARE LOUDLY HEARD WHEN OFFICIALS FROM THE BACK AND A COUPLE OF REFEREES COME OUT TO STOP THE BRAWL. Lawler: "Oh let 'em go"! JUST THEN, MUHAMMAD HASSAN APPEARS ON THE TWF TRON. Hassan: "Enough! You guys want to fight each other so bad..... well I'm gonna give you that chance. Plus, I'm gonna give you each a tag team partner! So tonight, it will be Joe Corey teaming with Money Mike to face RVD and his little friend, Max Ogden"! J.R.: "Oh what news! I can't stand our general manager, but there's no way to argue with that main event"! Lawler: "And after what we just saw, J.R., these guys are gonna be all riled up and ready to go"! J.R.: "Don't go away fans because coming up next, Rey Mysterio faces the twenty year old upstart, Kenny Doane"! COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR DURACELL BATTERIES IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A USA PROGRAMMING AD FOR THE WESTMINSTER CLUB DOG SHOW- COMING IN FEBRUARY. TWF RE-WIND SHOWS THE BRAWL BETWEEN KENNY DOANE AND REY MYSTERIO IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA FROM THE LAST EDITION OF RAMPAGE. AS THE ACTION RETURNS LIVE, KENNY DOANE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. J.R.: "Back on Rampage here on USA and here comes the twenty year old former Spirit Squad leader, Kenny Doane". Lawler: "And as we just saw on the TWF Re-wind, Kenny made his presence known to Rey Mysterio with a slap across the face"! A HUGE RESPONSE IS HEARD AS "BOOYAKA 6-1-9" IS HEARD AND REY MYSTERIO LAUNCHES UP FROM UNDER THE ENTRANCE RAMP. HE's DRESSED IN AN ORANGE AND BLACK OUTFIT AND HE COMES DOWN THE RAMP, SLAPPING HANDS WITH AS MANY FANS AS HE CAN. J.R.: "Doane is looking to make an impact here anyway he can, as evidenced by his meeting with Muhammad Hassan a few weeks ago, but if you ask me, he's going the wrong way about doing it"! Lawler: "Well of course that's what you'd think, J.R., anyone who doesn't do things the old fashioned way is going the wrong way about it in your mind"! J.R.: "All he accomplished with that slap backstage was getting under the skin of Rey Mysterio, who might I add is one of the better wrestlers of this generation"! Kenny Doane vs. Rey Mysterio Kenny was all smiles as the bell sounded but you could see under the mask of Rey that he was very focused. The two locked up in a collar and elbow tie and Doane pushed Mysterio to the mat. This gave the youngster some more confidence before Rey got up and locked up with him again. But for a second time, Doane threw Mysterio into the mat. Kenny went into some jumping jacks which drew plenty of boos. Mysterio got up and came at him again but this time, he ducked a lunging Kenny and kicked him in both legs. Rey then shot him to the ropes and dropped to the mat but Kenny stopped his momentum and dropped and elbow on the back of Rey. Kenny then pulled him up and drilled him with 2 stiff forearms before shooting him to the ropes himself for an amazing dropkick. A cover was made but Rey was up at 2. Kenny was in control of the match though and he locked in a standing dragon sleeper, looking to sap as much energy as possible and possibly earn a submission. Rey started to fade out and referee Chad Patton moved in to check his arms. The left arm of Rey dropped helplessly twice, but on a third time, he hung in, bringing the crowd back into the match. Rey tried to punch his way out of the hold, but Kenny retaliated with a reverse suplex, driving Rey face first into the mat. He made the cover but Rey was up again at 2. Kenny pulled him up and whipped him to the corner before getting a running start and charging in. But Rey used the ropes to pull himself up and stick both feet in Kenny's face. He then went to the middle turnbuckle, flying off with a crossbody which got him a 2 count. Rey sprung up and Kenny threw a wild right hand which Rey ducked before bouncing off the ropes to hit his wheelbarrow bulldog. Rey had Kenny in a lot of trouble but at the last moment, Kenny was able to kick out at 2 and a half. Rey hit the ropes looking for more but Kenny bounced to his feet and caught him with a wheel kick to the face. After a backdrop suplex, Kenny slowed the pace of the match down again by locking in a side headlock, using his body weight to lie on top of Rey. But showing the heart that has made him the superstar he is, Rey was able to fight off the hold and somehow, roll Kenny up for a near fall. Both men got to their feet and Rey hit Kenny with a kick to the body and two quick punches. He then hit the ropes and ducked a clothesline before going for a springboard crossbody but Kenny caught him with a big dropkick. He then went to the top rope in a hurry and flew off with his legdrop but Rey was out of the way. After drilling Kenny in the side of the head with a low dropkick, he went to the apron and landed the flying legdrop known as "Dropping the Dime" before hooking the leg for the big win. Match Time: 10:03 J.R.: "What a victory for Mysterio! And the young Kenny Doane is still looking to make that impact, King, I'd hate to see him wait forever"! Lawler: "Oh that was sarcasm if I've ever heard it! Don't try and pretend like you know how this kid should act, J.R., one mistake cost him, he could've easily won the match"! "BOOYAKA 6-1-9" PLAYED AGAIN AS REY CELEBRATED IN THE RING WHILE KENNY LEFT HOLDING THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. J.R.: "But the bottom line is he didn't. It was the physical gifts of Mysterio that won this match and that's something Kenny should be learning from rather than fighting against, if you ask me". BACKSTAGE....... LUYU DAWNSTAR AND HARRY SMITH ARE SHARING A CONVERSATION WHEN TATANKA COMES UP. Tatanka: "Oh look, did Luyu find a new friend? The young Harry Smith, son of the British Bulldog. Don't tarnish your family name hanging around her. Ya know, Luyu, we had a position for you in the Million Dollar Corporation, but then we came across Jillian Hall, who is not only a lot better looking than you are, but a much better wrestler as well". TATANKA WALKS PAST THEM AND SMITH CLEARLY WANTS TO GO AFTER HIM, BUT LUYU PULLS HIM BACK. THE SHOT SHIFTS TO ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHERE TODD GRISHAM IS SHOWN STANDING WITH KEN KENNEDY. Todd Grisham: "Mister Kennedy, earlier tonight on Uprising, you had a very impressive performance. Now you've asked for this interview time, so what is........ KENNEDY RIPS THE MIC OUT OF THE HANDS OF TODD GRISHAM. Ken Kennedy: "Let me handle this. (In a high pitched voice) Mister Kennedy, why did you ask for this interview time? I mean, we already saw you beat the hell out of your opponent on Uprising tonight. (normal voice) Well, Todd, to answer your stupid question, I asked for this time because I have an announcement to make. So I need all those people out in tv land to listen up and listen up good. I am officially announcing my entrance into the 2007 Royal Rumble, becoming the first superstar to do so. So for the other twenty nine guys, be ready, because at the end of that over the top Royal Rumble, the man with a golden ticket to the main event of WrestleMania will be........ Mister Kennedyyyyyyyyy........... Kennedyyyyyyy"! KENNEDY STUFFS THE MIC INTO THE CHEST OF A SPEECHLESS GRISHAM AND WALKS OFF. "I SPIT IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO BE COOL" IS HEARD AND CARLITO COMES OUT TO A GOOD REACTION, TOSSING AN APPLE IN HIS LEFT HAND. J.R.: "Mr. Kennedy is the first man in the Rumble, King"! Lawler: "I like that move by Kennedy and he's at the top of my list of favorites to win that match"! "SOMEBODY'S GONNA GET IT" BY THREE SIX MAFIA HITS AND MARK HENRY COMES OUT WITH A VERY MENACING LOOK ON HIS FACE. J.R.: "The Royal Rumble comes to you live on pay-per-view from the United Center in Chicago and that is where this man has been granted a TWF World title shot but it was a fateful August night last year where Henry lost his hair in a battle against Carlito". Lawler: "Well it's a night I know Mark Henry will never forget, J.R., and although his hair has fully grown back, he wants to exact some revenge tonight in a major way"! Carlito vs. Mark Henry Carlito tried to catch Henry off guard, coming at him with a running forearm but Henry just piefaced him to the mat. Carlito tried it again but got a similar result. Henry pulled Carlito up and whipped him to the corner but missed a splash as he ran in and Carlito tagged him with 2 big rights. He then hit the ropes and drilled Henry with a running forearm but a second trip to the ropes led to trouble as Henry smashed him with a clothesline. Henry then pulled him up and shot him to the corner, this time colliding with him on the corner splash. Carlito fell to the mat face first and Henry dropped a big leg on the back of his head. He could've pinned him, but Henry had a sick grin on his face, wanting to toy with Carlito. He pulled Carlito up by the hair and yelled, "Remember what you did to me"?! But Carlito got in a rake of the eyes followed by two swift kicks to the midsection before bouncing off the ropes and going for a crossbody. But Henry caught him in mid air and drove him into the mat with the "World's Strongest Slam", covering him for the 3 count. Match Time: 3:46 J.R.: "A valiant effort by Carlito but he was no match for the World's strongest man on this night who, deservedly or not, will be getting a shot at the World title at the Royal Rumble against a man whose not even at one hundred percent"! Lawler: "What do you mean deserved or not? He got the title shot from the general manager"! J.R.: "Don't play stupid, King. Travis Wakeman suffered five cracked ribs at the hands of Henry so what do you do, reward the man with a damn title shot?! Yeah, that reeks of something if you ask me"! AS "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" PLAYED AGAIN, HENRY GRABBED THE APPLE CARLITO BROUGHT TO THE RING AND SET IT DOWN ON THE MAT BEFORE STOMPING ON IT, SPRAYING APPLE ALL OVER THE RING. Lawler: "Take a look at that, J.R., that could be the head of Travis Wakeman at the Royal Rumble"! THE CAMERA GETS ANOTHER SHOT OF HENRY BEFORE BEING SENT TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR McDONALD's IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR NFL SHOP.COM RETURN FROM BREAK...... J.R.: "Folks we are back on Rampage and we are going to take you to a very disgusting situation that happened during the break"! FOOTAGE IS SHOWN FROM DURING THE COMMERCIAL BREAK OF PSYCHOSIS AND MACKENZIE ROSE DRAGGING KELLY INTO MUHAMMAD HASSAN's OFFICE, ALL FOR HASSAN TO MAKE HER GET UP ON HIS DESK AND DANCE. BEGRUDGINLY, A TERRIFIED KELLY GETS UP AND DOES IT, TO THE DELIGHT OF THE 3 MEN. BACK TO LIVE ACTION, TAYLOR MADE BURSTS INTO THE OFFICE OF HASSAN. Taylor Made: "What the hell is your problem?! You don't treat Kelly like that you son of a....... Muhammad Hassan: "Hold on a second Mister Taylor! Before you go one step further, think about what you're doing. This is my reformed Rampage, a Rampage that will include women dancing on this desk if I feel it necessary! If you don't want to participate..... well that's your unfortunate choice. ROSE AND PSYCHOSIS MOVE IN ON TAYLOR, LOOKING READY TO GET PHYSICAL. Now get the hell out of my office". TAYLOR IS VISIBLY ANGRY, BUT HE TURNS AND WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT SHIFTS TO THE RING. Lawler: "Well as much as I've dreamt about seeing Kelly do just that, Hassan is a no good piece of crap as far as I'm concerned"! Luyu Dawnstar: "Tatanka..... I know you're back there doing whatever it is you and your friends do, but I am not going to sit back and watch it anymore. When I came here to Rampage, I tried to get through to you as a concerned fellow Lakota. But now, I come to you as an angry Lakota, upset that my family gave their time and their hearts to you in order for you to become a member of our heritage! I may be a woman, but I'm no ordinary woman, like Jillian Hall. And I'm not afraid of you, Tatanka. So get out here now and show these people if you have any guts at all! I'm gonna sit in this chair until you come out here, no matter if it takes all night"! LUYU DROPS THE MIC AND SITS IN THE CHAIR, AWAITING TATANKA's RESPONSE. Lawler: "What the heck is she doing?! She's calling out a male superstar"? TATANKA's MUSIC HITS BEFORE BLENDING INTO "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" AND HE WALKS OUT TO A LOT OF BOOING. J.R.: "Well Luyu is obviously upset with this man and I can't blame her, but I don't like her chances here". TATANKA STEPS INTO THE RING AND WALKS UP TO DAWNSTAR WHO GETS UP OUT OF THE CHAIR. SHE TELLS HIM TO HIT HER AND HE LOOKS LIKE HE's ACTUALLY GOING TO DO IT WHEN HARRY SMITH RUNS OUT AND GETS IN FRONT OF LUYU, PUSHING HER BACK. BUT AS HE DOES THIS, TATANKA PICKS UP THE CHAIR AND SMASHES HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH IT. LUYU GOES DOWN TO CHECK ON SMITH AS TATANKA LEAVES THE RING TO SOME SERIOUS HEAT. J.R.: "Oh my God! Did you hear that?! What kind of son of a bitch has Tatanka become"?! Lawler: "Well he's a changed man now that he's aligned himself with Ted Dibiase and that's what Luyu is mad about. But Harry Smith just took the bullet for her"! J.R.: "Well he was just trying to do the right thing, Luyu was all ready to fight Tatanka"! BACKSTAGE....... CHARLIE HAAS IS SHOWN IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, TALKING THROUGH A DOOR THAT IS JUST OPEN A CRACK. Charlie Haas: "You almost ready man"? A VOICE IS HEARD SAYING "YEAH, I AM READY". Haas: "Alright, let's do this". 6 Man Tag Team Match Lenny Armstead, Rex Redford and Taylor Made w/ Kelly vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz, "High Octane" Damion West and Umaga w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada Lenny Armstead started the match off with High Octane but it didn't stay one on one for long. After Armstead connected with a flying heel kick, he drove West into the mat with a wicked DDT but his pin attempt was broken up by Umaga. Cruz tagged into the match but Redford and Taylor saw the other side gaining an unfair advantage and they came into the ring. Referee Scott Martin quickly lost control as all 6 men went at it. Redford was able to catch High Octane with a backdrop that took him out of the ring before he and Armstead combined on a double dropkick that knocked Umaga over the top rope and to the floor. But Cruz turned into a man possessed, taking on all 3 of his opponents. After a belly to belly suplex on Redford, he caught Lenny flying off the top rope with a kick to the midsection before grabbing him by the head and tights and sliding him under the bottom rope and to the floor. Taylor was left in the ring with Cruz and threw a spinning heel kick but Cruz caught him under the leg and around the neck and turned it into a t-bone suplex in which Taylor's head was driven into the mat. Cruz hooked the leg and even though Taylor wasn't the legal man in the match, Martin issued the 3 count. Match Time: 4:32 AFTER THE MATCH, WHILE "THE NEXT EPISODE" PLAYED, CRUZ STOOD TALL IN THE RING AND LENNY ARMSTEAD, ALTHOUGH ON THE LOSING SIDE, SEEMED IMPRESSED BY THE PERFORMANCE OF CRUZ. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR VERIZON WIRELESS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY AN AD PLUGGING THE ROYAL RUMBLE FEATURING TRAVIS WAKEMAN DEFENDING THE WORLD TITLE AGAINST THE WORLD's STRONGEST MAN MARK HENRY. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, MUHAMMAD HASSAN's MUSIC HITS AND PSYCHOSIS COMES OUT ALONG WITH MACKENZIE ROSE TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. J.R.: "We're back on Rampage and we have tag team action about to take center stage as you see the two assistants of Muhammad Hassan making their way to the ring and King, you gotta wonder why these two guys have taken the turn that they have, becoming Hassan's whipping boys". Lawler: "Well we continually hear about this ridiculous idea of a reformed Rampage and although these two weren't behind Hassan at first, they seem to be now"! J.R.: "Charlie Haas and Mackenzie Rose were once a promising tag team here on Rampage in my opinion but it was the post match attack by Rose last week that has led to this match where he has been allowed to select anyone from the Rampage locker room to be his tag team partner here tonight". Lawler: "And we have no idea who it's gonna be either"! CHARLIE HAAS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT A FEW FEET BEFORE LOOKING BACK WHEN "AIN'T NO STOPPIN' ME NOW" IS HEARD AND SHELTON BENJAMIN COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. J.R.: "Oh look who it is, Shelton Benjamin"! Lawler: "I didn't even think about this guy"! J.R.: "This is a tremendous selection by Haas as he and Benjamin should make up one of the most athletic teams we've ever seen"! Lawler: "You really have to wonder what Hassan has done here, throwing his assistants into a match like this that they had no way to prepare for"! J.R.: "That's a good point, King, the team of Haas and Benjamin has a decided advantage here in my mind"! Psychosis and Mackenzie Rose vs. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin From the outset, Haas and Benjamin worked like a well oiled machine against a team that showed their incohesiveness. Haas and Benjamin had made 7 tags in the first two minutes of the match, breaking Rose down. After a big german suplex by Haas, it looked like it would be over quickly but Psychosis flew into the ring with a flying wheel kick from the top rope to stop their momentum. This allowed a groggy Rose to get to his corner and tag in Psychosis who came in and took it to Haas street fight style. After absorbing several punches and kicks to the back of the head, Haas was whipped to the corner but he moved out of the way of Psychosis who flew in with a wheel kick. After tagging Shelton back in, Haas held Psychosis extended over the top rope by his feet and Shelton leapfrogged his partner to sit right on the back of Psychosis. After the impressive double team manuever, Shelton caught Psychosis with the dragonwhip kick. Rose came into the ring but Haas beat him to the punch before he and Shelton combined to clothesline him out of the ring. Slowly, Psychosis got to his feet but Haas grabbed him around the waist and just as Shelton connected with a superkick, Haas took him over into a german suplex as referee Jack Doan issued the 3 count. Match Time: 5:36 J.R.: "Oh what a move! I like what I see out of this team, they definitely have what it takes, King"! Lawler: "And how ironic is it that Hassan has aided in putting this team together! That's great"! HAAS AND BENJAMIN CELEBRATED THE WIN AS THEIR MUSIC PLAYED AND THE FANS CHEERED. J.R.: "It's the best thing Hassan's done yet"! BACKSTAGE....... CARLITO IS SHOWN BACKSTAGE, STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF HIS EARLIER MATCH WHEN J.J. RAMPLIN COMES UP. J.J. Ramplin: "I'm sure you saw what I did to Viscera out there tonight. I damn sure saw you get your ass beat by Mark Henry". Carlito: "Look, I'm not sure what your problem is, but you're definitely not cool. And since you need an attitude adjustment so bad, how 'bout you and me face off next week.... in the ring, in a match"? CARLITO WALKS OFF AFTER ISSUING THE CHALLENGE. RAMPLIN ACTS LIKE THAT's JUST WHAT HE WANTED. "LYING FROM YOU" PLAYS AGAIN AND PAUL HEYMAN COMES OUT WITH JOE COREY TO SOME TREMENDOUS HEAT. J.R.: "Well it's main event time and if you're just tuning in, Joe Corey and Rob Van Dam had an altercation in the ring earlier tonight which has led to this match". Lawler: "Well with all the bad blood between these four guys, it's gonna keep these fans on the edge of their seats"! "LET's GO" BY TRICK DADDY COMES ON AND STEPHANIE McMAHON COMES OUT ARM IN ARM WITH MONEY MIKE, WHO EASILY GETS THE LOUDEST BOOS OF THE NIGHT. J.R.: "Well what about the bad blood between the two men expected to team up here? Remember last year's WrestleMania?! These two were to the point of wanting to end each other's careers"! Lawler: "You're right about that, J.R., but I'm pretty sure Corey and Money Mike have gotten over that". THE FANS LOUDLY POP AS "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND ROB VAN DAM COMES OUT AND LOOKS BEHIND HIM AS MAX OGDEN AND CANDICE MICHELLE SOON FOLLOW. J.R.: "And here they come, Max Ogden and RVD, coming to the ring as a unit"! Lawler: "Well whatever odds Money Mike and Joe Corey are at or were at, they're still two of the top superstars in all the TWF so Ogden and RVD had better bring their A game as you'd say, J.R."! J.R.: "They certainly are, but so are RVD and Ogden who really want to get their hands on the two men standing across them. Jim Korderis assigned to call the action and there goes the bell. It looks like we'll get Corey and Ogden starting things off". Money Mike and "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Stephanie McMahon & Paul Heyman vs. Rob Van Dam and Max Ogden w/ Candice Corey and Ogden locked up and Corey took Ogden into a standing side headlock. He had it wrenched in tight but Ogden backed him to the ropes, trying to whip him to the other side. But Corey stayed with the hold, riding Ogden into the mat. But from one knee, Ogden powered up and was able to connect with a backdrop suplex. Corey got up but Ogden was on him with 2 right hands and after a kick to the midsection, he bounced off the ropes but Corey caught him with the Harley Race flying knee. Money Mike tagged into the match and put the boots right to Ogden. He yelled, "Get up you damn peasant" as he slapped Ogden in the back of the head. After pulling Ogden up, Mike shot him to the ropes but Ogden exploded off with a Thesz Press, pounding on the "King of the TWF" with rights and lefts. This allowed RVD to be tagged into the match and the man who has possession of the old ECW Heavyweight title took the fight to Mike, using his quick feet to batter him in the corner. After a jumping spin kick right on the button, RVD made the tag to Ogden and just as RVD hit the Rolling Thunder, Ogden slingshotted himself in from the apron, dropping a leg across the throat of Money Mike. They probably had a 3 count, but Corey came in to break up the pin. Korderis forced Corey back to the corner as Ogden continued taking it to Mike. But after reversing an irish whip, Mike hit a big Arn Anderson style spinebuster and nearly pinned Ogden, last year's King of the Ring. Corey was tagged back into the match and after dropping a big knee across the head of Ogden, he made the cover but could only manage a 2 count. He pulled Ogden up and pushed him to the corner, driving forearms and elbows into the face and head of Ogden. Corey then tried to set up his submission hold, The Cage, but RVD ran across the apron and drilled him with a clothesline. Ogden got up and made the tag to RVD, who went immediately to the top rope. When Corey got up, he flew off with a martial arts kick to the chest before drilling him with a corkscrew legdrop. RVD was rolling but after bouncing off the ropes, Heyman grabbed his foot and caused RVD to stumble. Candice saw this and ran over to Heyman, getting in some hard slaps to the face and head. RVD caught Corey with a spinning heel kick and went to the top rope just as both Ogden and Money Mike went over to the fracas between Candice and Heyman and began trading shots. This had the attention of Korderis and just before RVD leaped off, Stephanie got on the apron and shoved him to the mat. Corey then moved in on RVD and when he got up, he kicked him in the stomach and delivered the "Showstopper" to get the 1......2........3 when Korderis turned around. Match Time: 9:30 J.R.: "Well I'll be damned! The referee had too much going on outside the ring and he didn't see that damn Stephanie McMahon get involved and cost RVD the match"! Lawler: "That's four ECW originals in four weeks for Corey"! "LYING FROM YOU" PLAYED AGAIN AND COREY LEFT WITH HEYMAN AS MONEY MIKE AND STEPHANIE FOLLOWED. IN THE RING, OGDEN HELPED RVD TO HIS FEET AS HE AND CANDICE TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT JUST HAPPENED. J.R.: "Well I'm sure RVD will have something to say about it and what about Ogden and Money Mike?! That situation is far from over! We'll see you all next week"! OFF AIR......
