What was once known as the Boston Garden, then the Fleet Center, is now known as the TD BankNorth Garden. And on this late April night, it played host to the stars of Rampage and the fans were treated to a very big show. Eye Spy w/ Candice vs. The Amazing Red and Jack Evans (invitees) Max Ogden and Alex Shelley, collectively known as Eye Spy, were looking for their first win as a team but the exciting tandem of Red and Evans gave them a scare, taking them off their game with some incredible high flying moves. But when Red went for an Asai moonsault on the outside of the ring, Ogden moved and he hit the floor with plenty of impact. Ogden then slid into the ring and combined with Shelley for a wicked double slingshot brainbuster manuever which got them the win. Tyrone Zorilla vs. Aldo Corleone w/ Rob Storm Fresh off the beating they handed Mick Foley/Dude Love last week, the Canadian-Italian Exchange met up with Rampage newcomer Tyrone Zorilla. Although it was one on one, Zorilla had to worry about both men all match. After taking plenty of abuse from the mammoth Corleone, Zorilla ducked a clothesline and caught him with a flying hook kick. After a flying forearm, he came off the top rope with a missile dropkick that finally took him off his feet. Zorilla went back to the top rope, looking to capitalize when Storm got on the apron and grabbed his foot. Zorilla fought him off and then kicked Storm right in the face. But when he got down from the turnbuckle, he turned right into the Mafia Kick which jacked his jaw back and Corleone topped him for the 3 count. Tatanka vs. Lenny Armstead Uprising's main event sure set the stage for the rest of the night. Armstead was looking to pull the upset, but Tatanka seemed to be too much, overpowering the youngster for much of the match. But he began to toy with Armstead, allowing him to hang around and after whipping him to the corner, he charged in shoulder first only to have Armstead move. That turned the tide in Lenny's favor and he began to batter the Native American with kicks to the body. Dibiase finally tried to interject himself, but Armstead wasn't having it, going outside the ring after the Million Dollar Man. But Tatanka would follow him out, and the fight was on on the floor. The referee tried to convince the men to return, but they were throwing haymakers left and right. Finally, officials came down to pull the two men apart as the ref threw it out, ending the match with a No Contest. RAMPAGE GOES LIVE
RIGHT AS RAMPAGE COMES ON THE AIR LIVE, MONEY MIKE IS SHOWN TEARING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA, ALONG WITH STEPHANIE McMAHON. MIKE STOPS AS HE COMES UP TO STEVE KEIRN, ONE OF THE BACKSTAGE AGENTS. Money Mike: "Wait a minute, have you heard that I tapped out"? Steve Keirn: "Um..... I....... JUST THEN, MIKE TAKES KEIRN BY THE COLLAR AND THROWS HIM ONTO THE FLOOR. Money Mike: "I tapped out"!!!! THE SHOT GOES INTO THE OPENING MONTAGE VIDEO WHILE "TO BE LOVED" PLAYS. THE TD BANKNORTH GARDEN COMES INTO THE SHOT AND PYRO SPRAYS EVERYWHERE AS THE LARGE CROWD CHEERS LOUDLY. Jim Ross: "Boston, Massachusetts is the site for tonight's edition of Rampage and King, if you ask me, Money Mike should face some serious consequences for what he just did"! THE FANS BOO IN UNISON AS "KING OF KINGS" BY MOTORHEAD HITS AND MONEY MIKE COMES OUT ALONG WITH STEPHANIE McMAHON. Jerry Lawler: "Well here he comes, J.R., you wanna go tell him that?! I mean come on, he's not gonna face any consequences, this guy is in Muhammad Hassan's back pocket"! J.R.: "So he can just go around abusing TWF employees, I get it". Money Mike: "Come on, I can't hear you guys! Start up the "you tapped out" chant"! WITH THAT, THE CROWD OBLIGES, BREAKING INTO A VERY LOUD "YOU TAPPED OUT" CHANT. Lawler: "Money Mike is actually encouraging this". Money Mike: "That's right, keep saying it, keep it fresh in your memory, because you will never again in your lives be able to say it! From this point forward, if you consider yourself a "technical wrestler", you've got a bullseye on your chest courtesy of the King of the TWF! I am so tired of hearing about this technical wrestling crap! I am so tired of hearing about how good Travis Wakeman is"! THE FANS CHEER ONCE WAKEMAN's NAME IS HEARD. Lawler: "What is he trying to say here"? Money Mike: "Wakeman didn't win because he was better than me...... he won because he was lucky! So all you technical wrestlers, be prepared, because as that idiot in the back just found out, I will strike whenever I feel like it"! "KING OF KINGS" PLAYS AGAIN AND MIKE TOSSES THE MICROPHONE ASIDE BEFORE HOLDING THE ROPES OPEN FOR STEPHANIE AS THEY EXIT THE RING TO SOME HEAVY BOOS. J.R.: "Sounds to me like Money Mike has put technical wrestling on notice"! Lawler: "And you heard him, J.R., he told these people here in Boston and everyone watching around the world that they'll never be able to chant you tapped out again"! J.R.: "Yeah, let me go circle my calendar". COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR GEICO AUTO INSURANCE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR COKE ZERO. RETURN FROM BREAK..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, A PROMO GRAPHIC SHOWING JOE COREY HOLDING THE ECW WORLD TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER IS DISPLAYED. J.R.: "We're back live and later tonight, we will have Joe Corey's ECW Invitational and as of this moment, King, we still have no idea what that's all about". THE FANS COME OUT OF THEIR SEATS IN CHEER AS THE HARDY's MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT, READY FOR ACTION. Lawler: "I know I for one am looking forward to it, especially since we're in Corey's neck of the woods tonight"! J.R.: "Well the tag team division here on Rampage is really starting to heat up as we hit the Spring season and here comes one of the most exciting duos in TWF history with a huge oppurtunity on their hands"! THE WORLD's GREATEST TAG TEAM's MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT TO A DECENT CHEER WITH THE RAMPAGE TAG TEAM TITLES AROUND THEIR WAIST. Lawler: "And this team has been on a roll, J.R.! Not only did they end the long title reign of Doug and Danny Basham, but they dispatched Eye Spy last week". J.R.: "This team of Haas and Benjamin, in my opinion, is as balanced and as formidable as any we've ever seen here on Rampage". Rampage Tag Team Title Match Challengers: The Hardy's vs. World's Greatest Tag Team Matt Hardy and Charlie Haas elect to start the match for their respective teams and they slap hands as the bell sounds in a show of respect. Haas and Matt lock up in a collar and elbow tie and Matt quickly takes it into a standing side headlock. Haas tries to escape, but Matt has the hold in tight. Haas backs into the ring ropes and sends Matt to the far side but Matt comes off with a big shoulder tackle, knocking Haas to the mat. After 3 swinging right hands, Matt makes the tag to Jeff and off an irish whip, the Hardy's drill Haas with a double dropkick. Jeff then grabs the feet of Haas, looking to drop the double leg on the abdomen, but somehow Haas reaches up and pulls Jeff down into a small package to get a 2 count. Both men pop up to their feet and Haas runs Jeff over with a clothesline before tagging out. Benjamin comes into the ring and he and Jeff have a very exciting, fast paced series. After reversing an irish whip into the corner, Jeff comes flying in with the one man version of Poetry in Motion. Jeff then gets Shelton in position for the Twist of Fate, but Shelton grabs the right arm of Jeff and swings free before pasting him with a dragonwhip kick. Benjamin goes for the cover, but Jeff is up at 2. Benjamin pulls Jeff into his corner before slapping the hand of Haas, bringing him back into the match. Haas then holds Jeff over the top rope as Shelton hits the ropes on the far side and leapfrogs his partner, landing right across the back of Jeff. Haas then pulled Jeff down into a cover, but Matt comes in to pull him off. That's when things started to get chippy as Benjamin comes into the ring and he and Matt trade right hands before Matt grabs him by the back of the head and launches him over the top rope. After a flying clothesline takedown by Jeff, Matt tags into the match and goes up to the top rope, flying off with his always effective teardrop legdrop. The Hardy's were ready to execute some sort of double team move when referee Scott Martin stepped in and forced Jeff back to the corner. As this was going on, Benjamin got up on the apron and came into the ring with an amazing slingshot clothesline, taking out Matt. Haas then pulled Matt up, right into the Exploder Suplex and he hooked the leg deep as Martin turned, making the 3 count. Match Time: 6:33 J.R.: "The World's Greatest Tag Team is gonna get outta here with the titles still intact but what an exciting match, King"! Lawler: "The Hardy's looked like they might pull it off, but that flying clothesline by Shelton Benjamin turned out to be the difference maker"! THE WORLD's GREATEST TAG TEAM's MUSIC PLAYS AGAIN AND THEY GO UP THE RAMP WITH THE TITLES, SLAPPING HANDS WITH THE FANS AS JEFF CHECKS ON HIS BROTHER IN THE RING. J.R.: "The World's Greatest Tag Team, they've proven lately that they are just that"! BACKSTAGE..... IN THE BACK, TODD GRISHAM IS STANDING WITH WILLIAM REGAL. Todd Grisham: "William Regal, last week on Rampage, we saw you get involved in the six man tag team main event, punching J.J. Ramplin with brass knuckles, can you tell us what for"? William Regal: "Is that a serious question? Look, sunshine, that disrespectful little boy had that coming to him. If not for me, he would be nowhere, but how does he repay me, by shoving me in the hallway? Where I'm from, you give respect where respect is due and J.J. Ramplin got a lesson in respect last week. Now if he doesn't appreciate what I have given him, then I'll be happy to kick his bloody teeth in"! Mixed Gender Tag Viscera and Mickie James vs. Carlito and Ashley K. Under mixed gender rules, the men faced the men and the women faced the women in this one. Carlito was trying to get Mickie James to come into the ring with him, but the look on his face when the 500 pound Viscera climbed in to take him on was priceless. Carlito came right at the big man, throwing right hands and kicks but after he bounced off the ropes, Viscera erased him with a rolling wheel kick. After a massive legdrop, Viscera came within an eyelash of winning the match right off the bat. Viscera kept the pressure on Carlito and after a big body slam, he pointed at Ashley and did a sexual, hip swinging dance similar to the one Ravishing Rick Rude used to perform. Ashley was clearly disgusted, but all she could do was watch Viscera pick her partner apart. But off a whip to the corner, Big Vis missed an avalanche splash in the corner and Carlito used the ropes for a springboard back elbow that actually took Viscera off his feet. Carlito then made a sudden turn and slapped Mickie James on the butt but all that did was fire her up. After Viscera caught Carlito with a swinging sideslam, Mickie demanded the tag and Vis obliged. That forced Ashley to get into the ring and the Women's champion began trading shots with the number one contender to her title. Mickie hammered Ashley with 3 hard forearms but Ashley was able to avoid the Mick Kick before putting her down with a reverse DDT. Ashley then performed a standing moonsault that nearly won her the match. Carlito then took a huge bite of the apple he came to the ring with as Ashley pulled Mickie over to their corner. But Mickie ducked when Carlito spit the apple and it went all over the face of Ashley! Mickie then slapped Carlito across the face and blasted Ashley with the Mick Kick, catching her right in the head before covering her for the 1.........2........3. Match Time: 6:16 MICKIE JAMES' MUSIC PLAYED AND SHE HELD UP THE WOMEN's TITLE AS CARLITO PULLED ASHLEY OUT OF THE RING AND THEY LEFT IN A HURRY. J.R.: "A huge win here for Mickie James and Viscera and if you ask me, Mickie just sent a big message to the woman who has earned a shot at her title"! Lawler: "Mickie was on a mission out here tonight, J.R., wow"! AS THE FANS CHEERED, VISCERA CONVINCED MICKIE TO DO A LITTLE DANCE WITH HIM, WHICH THE CROWD LOVED. J.R. (Laughing): "Oh this is good stuff"! Lawler: "I'd like to see Mickie doing what Viscera's doing right now, but ya can't get everything I guess"! J.R.: "Don't go away folks because up next, William Regal will team with Harry Smith to take on the Hollywood Blondes"! COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR VERIZON WIRELESS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A FEW USA PROGRAMMING ADS. RETURN FROM BREAK..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, STEPHANIE McMAHON IS SHOWN IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, HAVING A HEATED CONVERSATION WITH A STAGEHAND, WHEN TAYLOR MADE COMES UP. Taylor Made: "Steph"? Stephanie McMahon: "Oh, hi there"! Taylor Made: "Is everything okay"? Steph: "Oh, yeah, just incompetent employees, that's all". Taylor Made: "Oh, well I was wondering if maybe you'd have some time to ya know, go somewhere and catch up sometime, maybe a cup of coffee or something". Steph: "Um...... uh, I really gotta go". STEPH WALKS OFF IN A HURRY BUT TAYLOR CRACKS A SMILE. BACK AT RINGSIDE, WILLIAM REGAL's MUSIC HITS AND HE AND HARRY SMITH COME OUT TO A GOOD CHEER FROM THE CROWD. Lawler: "What the heck is Taylor Made doing talking to Stephanie like that"? J.R.: "That's two weeks in a row that he's approached her, and ya know, King, those two do have a bit of history together. But listen to this reaction for Regal and Harry Smith, the UK connection"! Lawler: "Well Regal used to team with Harry Smith's dad, the British Bulldog, so this has got to be a dream team for some of the people back in the United Kingdom"! THE DARK CORNER OF THE ARENA, WITH A CURTAIN COVERED ENTRANCE IS SHOWN. THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND FLASHES ARE SEEN ALL OVER THE ARENA AS "MISERIA CANTARE" BY AFI HITS AND PAUL HEYMAN LEADS THE HOLLYWOOD BLONDES OUT TO NUMEROUS BOOS. J.R.: "Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury have come together again as a tag team after it seemed both were destined for big singles careers following their run as Hollywood Heat". Lawler: "ECW reached out to these guys, J.R., and it was just another huge addition for that group"! J.R.: "Well we know William Regal has entered into the war against this ECW, what with the way he took out J.J. Ramplin last week". Lawler: "Well I can assure you, J.R., that somewhere here in the TD BankNorth Garden, J.J. Ramplin has his eyes on this match". William Regal and Harry Smith vs. The Hollywood Blondes w/ Paul Heyman Regal and Smith had never teamed together before, but you'd never be able to tell that. This was a long tag team match that featured each team having 2 lengthy periods of time in control. Regal and Smith tried to keep it a mat wrestling match, but the Blondes used their superior teamwork, and a little underhandedness from Heyman, to take Regal and Smith off their game. With all 4 men in the ring, Mercury and Nitro disposed of Regal with a double backbody drop over the top rope and to the floor. They then took on the young Harry Smith and with Regal recovering on the floor, it became a bit of a 2 on 1 situation. The Blondes made tags in and out every 30 seconds or so, getting some stiff shots in on Smith. After a snapmare by Mercury, Nitro used a somersault neckbreaker before delivering a breakdance style legdrop on Smith, covering him for the 1........2......., but Smith rolled his right shoulder off the mat. Nitro pulled him up before delivering a big swinging neckbreaker, and the tag was made to Mercury. Mercury came in and delivered a scoop slam on Smith before pointing to the corner and going to the apron, climbing to the top rope. With Smith down, Mercury flew off with a guillotine legdrop, but Smith rolled out of the way. Mercury immediately grabbed his behind, in tremendous pain. Meanwhile, Regal had gotten back to his corner and got the tag from Smith. Regal came in and knocked Mercury down with 3 hard right hands before hitting the ropes, striking him in the face with a running knee. It was all over but Nitro came in to break up the 3 count. Smith came back in and hit Nitro with a right hand, setting off a brawl. Referee Jose Mendez was doing all he could to restore order when Heyman jumped up on the apron, getting in his face. That allowed J.J. Ramplin to come through the crowd and hop over the guardrail. He then came in the ring and spun Regal around, knocking him to the mat with a loaded right hand. Mercury then fell into the cover and Mendez turned to make the 3 count as Nitro held Smith off. Match Time: 16:14 Lawler: "Look at that, J.R., Ramplin just returned the favor to Regal"! J.R.: "J.J. Ramplin had a pair of brass knucks.... I could see them from here"! "MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYED AGAIN AS HEYMAN LED THE VICTORIOUS BLONDES UP THE RAMP WHILE THE CROWD BOOED IN ANGST. Lawler: "Like I said, he returned the favor"! J.R.: "This was a well orchestrated setup by ECW and it's starting to look like it's gonna take a small army to stop Heyman and his men"! Lawler: "Look, there's Joe Corey and the rest of ECW"! ONCE HEYMAN AND THE BLONDES REACHED THE TOP OF THE RAMP, JOE COREY CAME OUT WITH THE ECW WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. WITH HIM WAS SYLVESTER TERKAY AND J.J. RAMPLIN AND COREY HAD A MICROPHONE IN HAND.
Joe Corey: "Well, I was about to say that it was good to be home, but evidently all of you need to get your eyes checked. This is not that big dumb animal, Batista, standing in the ring. It is the ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Boston’s own, Joe Corey!
THE CROWD BOOS HEAVILY
So, that’s how it is going to be now, huh? Well, I guess I shouldn’t be shocked. I mean when I was getting ready to return to my hometown as a champion, I put a call into one of my friends who has a lot of experience with that situation. I think you all know him, his name is Derek Jeter.
A “Yankees Suck” chant breaks out inside of the Garden.
That’s funny, that was kind of the reaction he told me I was going to get. He was telling me how coming home to your fans, not just people who like you, but to people who know you, and being able to show that you are the best at what you do, is the best feeling in the world. But then he asked me where my hometown was, and when I said Boston, he said nevermind. I mean really guys, we have gotten this reputation of being the world’s worst losers. Fortunately for me, I am probably the best thing to ever come out of this Godforsaken town. I mean we did have Roger Clemens, Wade Boggs, and Adam Vinatieri. Oh wait, they all left here in order to finally become a champion. Are you all starting to get the point? The rest of the country looks at Boston as a cesspool! Nothing good comes out of here, and whatever does ends up leaving before they find that greatness. But not me, I am going to stay here forever, just to rub it in all of your faces that I am the hometown boy that made good, while he was still here.
ANOTHER ROUND OF BOOS IS HEARD
I mean hell, I don’t understand how all of you can cheer people like Batista, people like the Hardy's, people like the World’s Greatest Tag Team. What have they done that I haven’t done? I have made good my entire career. I am the greatest King of Cable this company has ever seen, and the only person that is going to come close to my reign is the current King of Cable, JJ “The Ram” Ramplin. I am a World Champion, and I went to WrestleMania and put on the most dominant performance of the night, possibly in the history of this business! Yet you all still boo me! Well, that’s okay, because mark my words, you people are either going to learn to love me, or I am going to give you a real reason to hate me! Paul, you take over now, these people are making me sick and I need to get out of here"!
Paul Heyman: "I am going to make this quick, because you people don’t deserve much else. Tonight we are going to have the first ever ECW Invitational. This is going to be a Battle Royale to determine the next challenger to your ECW World Champion, “The Show” Joe Corey. And just to make sure that a worthy challenger can come out of this match, JJ Ramplin, Sylvester Terkay and the Hollywood Blondes will all be in this match! So thank you all very little, and you’re welcome even less! Let’s go guys"! "MISERIA CANTARE" HITS AGAIN AND ECW BEGINS TO WALK TO THE BACK. J.R.: "Well we've found out what this ECW Invitational is, and it looks like another ECW trap to me! They've got four guys in the damn thing themselves"! Lawler: "It's just another brilliant move by these guys, J.R.! The next challenger to the ECW World title is going to be determined, but he'll probably pay for it too"! Heyman: "Oh, I almost forgot to mention, we have a little surprise for your precious Batista! THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS Batista can take part in tonight's ECW Invitational, but only if he wins his qualifying match! And that match..... is up right now"! "I WALK ALONE" BY SALIVA PLAYS AND THE CROWD GOES ABSOLUTELY BERSERK AS BATISTA COMES OUT. BEFORE HEADING TO THE RING, BATISTA TAKES A LONG LOOK AT EACH MEMBER OF ECW, BEFORE GETTING FACE TO FACE WITH COREY. J.R.: "Well here comes the animal set for action and not only does he have to win just to get into this battle royale, he doesn't even know who he's facing"! Lawler: "Well judging by the way he just looked at Joe Corey, nothing is gonna stop him"! KENNY DOANE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A LOT OF BOOS. HE GOES UP TO COREY AND SHAKES HIS HAND BEFORE ECW LEAVES. J.R.: "Well it looks like Kenny Doane will provide the opposition tonight and it appears he's been hand selected by Corey and ECW for this match". Lawler: "Call me crazy, J.R., but I don't like that pick! Batista is foaming at the mouth right now, ready to hit someone, and Kenny Doane, the twenty year old, is on his way to the ring"?! J.R.: "He's walking into a lion's den, no question about that"! Batista vs. Kenny Doane Doane came into the ring and locked up with Batista, but it was no use as the animal just tossed him to the ring. Batista yelled at Doane, challenging him to try again, and Doane came back with a nice dropkick that knocked Batista into the ropes. Doane followed that up with 2 heavy right hands but Batista reversed an irish whip and drove Doane into the mat with a spinebuster. The crowd came out of their seats, going crazy as Batista wildly shook the ring ropes. He then pulled Doane in and delivered the "Batista Bomb", for a rather easy win. Match Time: 2:47 J.R.: "Well it looks like the animal has qualified and he has done so in convincing fashion"! Lawler: "Yeah, all he needs to do now is win this ECW Invitational battle royale to get a title shot"! J.R.: "Wait a minute, there's Sylvester Terkay"! BATISTA WAS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY SYLVESTER TERKAY, WHO THREW HIM THROUGH THE RING ROPES TO THE FLOOR. TERKAY THEN CAME OUTSIDE AND GRABBED A STEEL CHAIR, POUNDING IT OVER THE HEAD OF BATISTA AND SPLITTING HIM OPEN. J.R.: "Oh what a sickening thud! That steel chair just met the skull of Batista and it damn sure didn't feel bad about it"! Lawler: "Look at this, J.R., get outta the way"! WITH BATISTA INCAPACITATED, TERKAY PICKED HIM UP AND POWERBOMBED HIM RIGHT THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE. TERKAY THEN LOOKED INTO THE CROWD, WHO WAS ALL OVER HIM WITH BOOS. J.R.: "My God! Get out here and stop this"! Lawler: "It looks like ECW had a backup plan here, J.R."! J.R.: "They damn sure did! The ECW manbear has just decimated Batista and if you ask me, there's no ECW Invitational in the future of the animal"! COMMERCIAL BREAK......... A COMMERCIAL FOR SOUTHWEST AIRLINES IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR THE GILLETTE FUSION RAZOR. RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, TAYLOR MADE IS SHOWN WALKING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA, STILL SMILING, WHEN HE RUNS INTO VINCE McMAHON, WHO HAS A VERY STERN LOOK ON HIS FACE. Taylor Made: "Uh.... hey Vince". Vince McMahon: "That's Mr. McMahon, show some respect, damnit"! Taylor: "Sorry, Mr. McMahon, better"? Vince: "Look kid, I'm a little bit tired of your high school antics, specifically as they relate to my daughter, Stephanie. Now, it seems you traumatized her by asking her out for a cup of coffee and I came to let you know that that type of behavior will not be tired. So, if it happens again, you will leave me no choice but to..... Taylor: "What, fire me"? Vince: "No..... kick your ass"! TAYLOR LAUGHS Taylor: "Ya know, that's funny. Matter of fact, it's given me an idea. Why don't you go get Money Mike, ya know, the "king of the TWF", and I'll go get the TWF World champion Travis Wakeman, and we'll have ourselves a little tag team match". THE CROWD INSIDE THE ARENA CHEERS AS VINCE GETS A SLIGHT GRIN ON HIS FACE. Vince: "Ya know..... you're on"! BACK AT RINGSIDE, "MISERIA CANTARE" IS PLAYING AGAIN AND ECW IS MAKING IT's WAY THROUGH THE CROWD, HEADING TO THE RING. IN THE RING, A SLEW OF SUPERSTARS STANDS INSIDE THE RING FOR THE ECW BATTLE ROYALE. J.R.: "What huge news that is, Vince McMahon has accepted Taylor Made's challenge"! Lawler: "And he did so without hesistation"! J.R.: "That will be our main event but right now, the ring is filling for this ECW Invitational. Who will be the next to challenge Joe Corey for the ECW World Title"? Lawler: "Well we got RVD in there, Jason Oliver is in there, Nemesis, there's some big names in that ring, J.R."! J.R.: "And now we've got the ECW contingent getting into the ring, and lord only knows what happens if what of them is to win it. But we can confirm that Batista will not be able to compete in this thing, he's in the backstage area right now being looked over by our trainer". ONCE ALL 15 MEN WERE IN THE RING, THE ACTION STARTED IN BRAWLING FASHION. Lawler: "Here we go, we're underway in this ECW Invitational"! ECW Invitational Battle Royale Sylvester Terkay, J.J. Ramplin, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, Nemesis, Rob Van Dam, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Jason Oliver, Matt Cruz, Paul Birchill, Lenny Armstead and Mr. Kennedy The fight was on and there were bodies everywhere, going at it. Joe Corey and Paul Heyman stayed at ringside, surveying the action. Jason Oliver, Nemesis and Rob Van Dam were in a 3 on 4 situation against the ECW group. Nemesis slugged it out with Terkay while Oliver and Ramplin traded shots. RVD was struggling while being double teamed by the Hollywood Blondes. Lenny Armstead was able to catch Mr. Kennedy with a wonderful dropkick, but when he hit the ropes, Corey grabbed his foot and tripped him up. But Armstead got up and flew over the top rope with a flying plancha, taking Corey out but eliminating himself in the process. 2 quick eliminations followed as Nitro knocked Jeff Hardy out of the ring with a clothesline but Kennedy came from behind and dumped Nitro out. ECW was looking very good as they took on multiple superstars. Terkay drilled Paul Birchill with his big right hand, but when he went for the elimination, Birchill held on. J.J. Ramplin became the first member of ECW eliminated when Matt Hardy and Birchill each got a hold of him and threw him over the top. But Birchill's stay came to a sudden end as Matt Cruz clotheslined him from behind to take him out. The match continued and it seemed that the remaining combatants realized that they needed to go after the 3 men left representing ECW. But Mr. Kennedy for some reason jumped on the side of ECW, helping them stave off the rest of the competition. Matt Hardy caught Terkay with a discus punch and had hit set up for the Side Effect. But Terkay elbowed his way out of it and then kicked Hardy right in the head which knocked him out of the ring. Terkay stood over the ropes, looking down at Hardy, but when he turned around, Nemesis grabbed him by the throat and pushed him over the top rope. ECW had 2 members left, and both Nitro and Mercury were holding their own. Nemesis grabbed both the Hollywood Blondes by the throat, looking for a double chokeslam but Mercury kicked him in the midsection and Nitro drilled him with a right hand. Jason Oliver then ran across the ring, looking to surprise Nemesis with a clothesline but Nemesis saw it coming and backdropped Oliver out of the ring. Kennedy was then pushed over the top rope by Mercury but it was at that time that RVD became a huge factor in the match. RVD nailed Mercury with a spinning heel kick before eliminating Charlie Haas and Nemesis with back to back jump kicks. RVD then landed the Rolling Thunder on Mercury and he was on a tear. Matt Cruz got a hold of RVD's tights though and tried to throw him over the top rope, only to see RVD "skin the cat" and come back into the ring, hiptossing Mercury out. Matt Cruz, RVD and Shelton Benjamin were the only 3 men that remained. They all circled one another before Cruz shot a single leg on Benjamin. Benjamin refused to go down though and the two had a great mat war while RVD watched, resting. Cruz worked his way up to a vertical base and went for a backdrop suplex on Benjamin. But the athletic Benjamin flipped off his shoulder, landing on his feet. He then threw a kick which Cruz caught but that led to the dragonwhip kick and a heavy clothesline later and Cruz had been eliminated by Benjamin. It was Benjamin and RVD, two of the most athletic men on the TWF roster and for a good 5 minutes, they waged one heck of a fight, taking each other to the brink of elimination. RVD lifted Benjamin up for a suplex, trying to dump him over the top rope but he dropped him on the apron and Benjamin drilled him with a forearm to the face. He then hopped up to the top rope, looking for a slingshot move but RVD took him right out of mid air with a jumping spin kick. With Benjamin staggered, RVD got up and dumped him over the top rope to win the Invitational. Match Time: 26:40 J.R.: "Rob Van Dam, with one of the most hellacious kicks I have ever seen, has won the right to face Joe Corey one more time"! "ONE OF A KIND" PLAYED AND THE CROWD WAS GOING NUTS AS RVD LOOKED DOWN AT COREY BEFORE DOING THE THUMBS TO THE SHOULDERS ROUTINE AS THE CROWD CHANTED R-V-D. COREY HELD THE ECW WORLD TITLE UP BEFORE HE AND HEYMAN WALKED OFF, LOOKING BACK AT RVD. Lawler: "Wasn't this supposed to be an invitational? How did RVD get an invitation"?! J.R.: "I think Joe Corey banked on one of his guys winning this thing and now, he's gotta face a man who has not only proven he can hang with him, but he's proven he can defeat him"! BACKSTAGE..... MUHAMMAD HASSAN's OFFICE.... IN THE OFFICE OF MUHAMMAD HASSAN, HE IS STANDING WITH THE CANADIAN-ITALIAN EXCHANGE. Muhammad Hassan: "Oh, it was great. I loved seeing what you two did to Foley". Rob Storm: "We told you we would take care of the Foley problem, sir". Hassan: "And you followed through with that, great work men. JUST THEN, MACKENZIE ROSE AND PSYCHOSIS ENTER THE OFFICE. Where the hell have you two been"? Mackenzie Rose: "You asked us to find something to help you get ready for your match with Shane McMahon, and we found it". Hassan: "And what would that be"? Psychosis (pointing to a monitor in the office): "Him". TIGER ALI SINGH, HASSAN's ONE TIME MANAGER, IS SHOWN STANDING IN THE RING. Hassan: "It's about time you two do something right". HASSAN LEAVES THE OFFICE AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. Lawler: "My gosh, J.R., how long has it been since we've seen this guy"? J.R.: "Tiger Ali Singh hasn't been seen in the TWF since he was unceremoniously relieved of his services by our current general manager". THE FANS VIOLENTLY BOO AS MUHAMMAD HASSAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES DOWN THE RAMP. TIGER ALI SINGH LOOKS VERY READY TO GET HIS HANDS ON HIM. J.R.: "Apparently these two are gonna square off here and, King, you mentioned that it's been some time since we've seen Tiger Ali Singh in the TWF, but it's been a long time since we've seen Muhammad Hassan in the ring as well". Lawler: "He's got a huge match at Foul Play against Shane McMahon though and like you said last time, J.R., it's tough to root for Hassan, but due to the circumstances of that match, we might have to"! Tiger Ali Singh vs. Muhammad Hassan Toger Ali Singh came out swinging, but Hassan, even with the long layoff from the ring, seemed to be in tip top shape. After taking Singh to the mat, Hassan pulled him up into a russian leg sweep before working on his lower back with knees and kicks to it. Hassan pulled him up and shot him to the corner, but Singh moved out of the way and then delivered a running shoulder right to the gut of Hassan. Singh then pulled him out and grabbed him by the back of the head, looking for a jumping facebuster. But an alert Hassan grabbed the top rope and Singh went flying but Hassan didn't go with him. Hassan then used a backcracker, pulling Singh down right across his knees and that led to the Camel Clutch. Singh didn't wait too long to signal he was done. Match Time: 4:03 J.R.: "Muhammad Hassan will go into Foul Play after this submission victory and you gotta believe Shane McMahon had a close eye on that match". Lawler: "Can you imagine Muhammad Hassan putting that Camel Clutch on Shane-O-Mac"?! HASSAN's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE LEFT THE RING TO SOME TREMENDOUS HEAT FROM THE CROWD. J.R.: "Well it could happen. Hassan is ready for Foul Play, there's no question about that and as we know, King, Shane has made a challenge for either one of Hassan's assistants to face him in the ring this week on PrimeTime". Lawler: "We're gonna have to make sure we tune into PrimeTime for that one"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR CAPITOL ONE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR BURGER KING. RETURN FROM BREAK.... Lawler: "For the first time since WrestleMania eight, Travis Wakeman and Money Mike will be competing in the same ring"! THE CROWD POPS AS "LIKE A PIMP" BY DA BAND HITS AND TAYLOR MADE COMES OUT WITH THE LOVELY KELLY. Lawler: "And this was a challenge issued by this man. J.R.: "Yeah, Money Mike's gotta hold him back, right"? Money Mike and Vince McMahon w/ Stephanie McMahon vs. Travis Wakeman and Taylor Made w/ Melina and Kelly Taylor actually asked to start the match off against McMahon, but Money Mike stepped into the ring and locked up with Taylor. Taylor was able to scramble free and pop Mike with 2 kicks to the back of the leg. Mike threw a right hand but missed and Taylor hit the ropes and caught Mike with a nice dropkick. Taylor then whipped him to the ropes and went for a hip toss but Mike blocked it and nearly took his head off with a clothesline. For the next several minutes, Money Mike looked like a surgeon as he picked Taylor apart. After sending Taylor shoulder first into the steel ring post, Mike delivered an armbar DDT before pulling the arm in a very awkward position, trying to get Taylor to tap out. Finally, Taylor was able to stretch his foot to the ropes to break the hold. But he was in a lot of pain as Mike tagged out to Mr. McMahon and Vince came into the ring, ready to pick up the pieces. Vince yelled for Taylor to get up before just kicking him right in the face. Just then, Kelly got on the apron and turned around. Vince noticed her right away and seemed instantly mesmerized. Kelly was wearing a short skirt and Vince went to lift it up but Taylor came from behind with a schoolboy, gaining a long 2 count. Taylor was then able to make the tag to Wakeman and when Vince saw this, he quickly scrambled to his corner to make the tag. Money Mike stepped into the ring and the crowd came to their feet as the two men who met in the main event of WrestleMania 8 stood toe to toe. Mike threw a right hand that found the mark, but Wakeman fired back with one of his own. The two continued trading blows until Mike staggered Wakeman with an overhand punch but after hitting the ropes, Wakeman used a drop toehold to take him to the mat. Wakeman then locked in a side headlock but Mike came up with a nice counter, escaping the hold. The two continued to brawl back and forth but the match took a different shape when Stephanie came over and pulled Kelly to the mat by her hair. Melina actually laughed about this, but then went after Stephanie. Vince had just made the tag after Mike put Wakeman down with a DDT when he saw this. Vince went outside the ring and interrupted the cat fight, shoving Melina onto the steel ramp! Vince then came back into the ring and tried to pick up the scraps but Wakeman tripped him up and tried to lock in the Sharpshooter. Taylor went over to check on the women which drew referee Jim Korderas' attention. Wakeman was just about to turn Mr. McMahon over when Money Mike came into the ring and smashed Wakeman in the back of the head with a steel chair. Mike quickly got out of the ring as Vince fell into the cover, hooking the leg as Korderas turned to count the 1......2......3. Match Time: 10:17 J.R.: "Ah, come on! He used a damn steel chair"! Lawler: "The ref never saw it"! "KING OF KINGS" PLAYED AS MONEY MIKE HANDED VINCE McMAHON THE WORLD TITLE AND HE STOOD OVER WAKEMAN WITH IT, HOLDING IT HIGH IN THE AIR. J.R.: "This is disgusting! The chairman of the company stands in the ring, holding the World title over the champion"! Lawler: "Well you called Vince McMahon supremely confident heading into Foul Play earlier, J.R., I wonder what he is now"! OFF AIR..........
