Rampage hit Norfolk with a full slate that included two titles being on the line. SMW/Asylum 6 Man Tag Sebastian X, Jeremy Dart and Troy the Terrible vs. Joe Diano, Chris Kaos and Johnny Hazard The night got started with a match showcasing the talent of the two developmental orginizations, SMW and Asylum. Johnny Hazard, fresh off his Lights Out match at Foul Play, was also thrown into the mix. The team of Sebastian X, Dart and Troy controlled the match, keeping current SMW Heavyweight champion Joe Diano in the ring for an extended period of time. Finally, Diano countered a running powerslam attempt by Troy and delivered a nice dropkick which allowed him to tag out to Chris Kaos. Troy tagged in Sebastian and he and Kaos went at it, trading shots in the center of the ring. Sebastian got in a low blow that no one saw before catching Kaos with a flying heel kick that knocked him into the corner. But Hazard made the tag by slapping the shoulder of Kaos before coming in and just drilling Sebastian with a spear. Dart and Troy tried to come in, but to no avail as Hazard quickly dispatched them both. He then delivered the "Toxic Drop" to Sebastian with devastating effects before covering him for the win. Mark Henry vs. Harry Smith Smith actually tried to match power with the World's Strongest Man and that turned out to be a huge mistake. Henry manhandled the son of the British Bulldog and after a huge powerslam, he came off the middle turnbuckle, squashing Smith with a big splash to get the 3 count. After the match, Smith seemed to be in a considerable amount of pain. Elijah Burke vs. Kris King (invitee) Everyone was excited to see the debut of Burke, whom they'd heard so much about. Burke comes to the TWF with an impressive background in boxing and toughman fighting, but Kris King was ready to make him translate that to the ring. Burke easily did so, using an athletic set of manuevers to incapacitate King before catching him with a flying double knee to the back while he was in the corner. From there, Burke delivered a reverse russian leg sweep, a move he calls the "Elijah Experience" to get the win. Kenny Doane vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz Uprising's main event was a good one, featuring two of the promising young stars of Rampage. After escaping the clutches of Cruz, Doane caught him with a nasty jumping enziguri which got him a very, very near fall. From there, Doane connected on his deep swinging neckbreaker and he had the match won, but he made the mistake of not hooking the leg and Cruz put his foot on the bottom rope before the count of 3. Doane began to argue with the referee, which gave Cruz the opening he needed. After spinning Doane into a clothesline that nearly took his head off, Cruz put him down with a nasty fisherman's buster, hooking the leg for the 1.......2......3. "THE NEXT EPISODE" BY DR. DRE PLAYED AS CRUZ CELEBRATED WITH THE CROWD BEFORE RAMPAGE WENT LIVE ON USA. RAMPAGE GOES LIVE
AS SOON AS RAMPAGE COMES ON THE AIR, FOOTAGE IS SHOWN OF THE CLOSING MOMENTS OF THE WORLD TITLE MATCH AT FOUL PLAY. VINCE McMAHON TAPS OUT TO TRAVIS WAKEMAN's SHARPSHOOTER, BUT THAT's WHEN THE CHAIRMAN's PLAN UNFOLDS AS CHRIS MASTERS HITS THE RING AND BRUTALLY ASSAULTS WAKEMAN. THAT LEADS INTO RAMPAGE's OPENING MONTAGE, WHICH NOW CONTAINS THE ECW LOGO PROMINENTLY, WHILE "TO BE LOVED" PLAYS. THE SCOPE, FILLED WITH NEARLY 10,000 ACTIVE TWF FANS, COMES INTO THE SHOT, FOLLOWED BY AN AMAZING SHOW OF PYRO. Jim Ross: "We are on a lightning quick pace to Evil Intentions, and we have stopped in one of the famed wrestling territories in all the land, Norfolk, Virginia"! Jerry Lawler: "Oh are we ever, J.R., listen to this place"! "SUPERSTAR" BY SALIVA HITS AND THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS AS JASON OLIVER MAKES HIS WAY OUT TO THE RING. J.R.: "The ECW World title will be on the line tonight as Joe Corey and Rob Van Dam square off one more time but we're starting things off with the former King of Cable, who is looking to get his name back into title consideration, King". Lawler: "This should be a great match, J.R., two young stars who many believe are on the verge of greatness"! "MISTERRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYY" IS HEARD AND KEN KENNEDY COMES OUT TO A MIXED REACTION AFTER HIS MUSIC HITS. HE AND OLIVER LOCK EYES AND ARE HAVING WORDS EVEN BEFORE KENNEDY GETS INTO THE RING. J.R.: "Well I for one believe this guy here is one of the biggest prospects we've seen in a long time and you're right, King, this should be a helluva match"! Jason Oliver vs. Ken Kennedy The bell sounded and with both men still trash talking, they locked up. Oliver was able to get the stronger push, putting Kennedy in the corner before driving his shoulder into his abdomen. But Kennedy was able to reverse an irish whip attempt and catch Oliver with a short arm clothesline. Kennedy then dropped to one knee and rifled several hard right hands into the head of Oliver. Referee Chad Patton pulled Kennedy off but Kennedy went right back on the attack, putting the boots to Oliver. But Oliver was able to get to his feet and after blocking a right hand, he blasted Kennedy with a few of his own. Off an irish whip, Oliver got the sleeper hold in. Oliver had it locked in good, but Kennedy countered into a sit down jawbreaker before getting up and clotheslining Oliver again. Kennedy and Patton seemed to have some more words, but Kennedy pulled Oliver up into a scoop slam. After a second scoop slam, Kennedy bounced off the ropes and delivered a knee drop, very similar to the one Ric Flair likes to use. Kennedy went for the cover, but Oliver rolled his right shoulder off the mat at 2. Kennedy pulled Oliver up, looking for another scoop slam, but Oliver nicely countered into a small package and Kennedy's shoulders were down. It looked like Kennedy may have kicked out at the same time Patton's hand hit the mat for a 3 count, but Patton still called for the bell. Match Time: 4:35 J.R.: "Jason Oliver got him..... what a counter"! Lawler: "I only counted two"! J.R.: "Yeah, I'll bet ya did, King". AS "SUPERSTAR" PLAYED AGAIN, OLIVER LEFT, SLAPPING HANDS WITH MANY OF THE FANS WHILE KENNEDY SCREAMED IN THE FACE OF PATTON. KENNEDY WAS BEET RED AS PATTON EXPLAINED HIS DECISION AND THEN, KENNEDY JUST LOST IT, KNOCKING PATTON DOWN WITH A RIGHT HAND. J.R.: "Ah what the hell..... he'll get a heavy fine for that"! Lawler: "We need to look at some replays.... that was only a two count"! J.R.: "Even if it was only a one count, the ref's decision is final"! Lawler: "Well if you ask me, Mister Kennedy's got a legit gripe"! COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR T-MOBILE WIRELESS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR DIRECT TV. RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, MICKIE JAMES IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, STRETCHING BEFORE HER TITLE DEFENSE WHEN JILLIAN HALL COMES UP. Jillian Hall: "Hey Mickie, just thought I'd come wish you luck in your....... Mickie James: "Save it Jillian, I don't need your well wishes". Jillian: "Fine..... and maybe someday you'll give me a shot at taking your title". Mickie: "Maybe.... if you ever deserve a shot". MICKIE WALKS OFF AND JILLIAN LOOKS ON WITH AN EVIL LOOK IN HER EYES. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE TYRONE ZORILLA IS GETTING THE CROWD ALL FIRED UP WHILE "CRUNK MUZIK" BY JIM JONES PLAYS. J.R.: "We are back live on Rampage and ready for more action! What do you make of this young kid, King"? "I SPIT IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO BE COOL" IS HEARD AND LEADS INTO CARLITO's MUSIC AS HE COMES OUT FROM THE BACK, TOSSING AN APPLE IN HIS RIGHT HAND WHILE BEING LOUDLY BOOED. Lawler: "He has a ton of potential, J.R., but he also has his hands full tonight with our resident bad apple"! J.R.: "The new attitude of Carlito has really turned the fans against him but I honestly think he likes the sound of boos". Lawler: "Well he's got a pretty big smile on his face, so he can't be too unhappy about them". Tyrone Zorilla vs. Carlito As the bell sounded to start the match, Carlito took a bite of his apple and walked up to Zorilla. But Zorilla knew what was coming and just rocked Carlito with a right hand, knocking him to the mat. The street fighter style of Zorilla was all over Carlito, hammering him in the corner with a barrage of right hands Carlito could barely defend. After a kick to the gut, Zorilla shot Carlito to the ropes and connected with a flying calf kick. He went for a quick cover but Carlito was up at 2. Zorilla pulled Carlito up for a suplex but Carlito used his right foot to block it before lifting Zorilla up for a suplex and just dropping him over the top rope. Carlito then quickly hopped up on the middle turnbuckle and flew off with a knee to the back of Zorilla's head. Carlito then went to the apron and brought himself in with a slingshot elbow drop, making the cover and hooking the leg for a long 2 count. Carlito pulled Zorilla up and went for an irish whip but Zorilla reversed it and caught Carlito with a nasty stun gun over the top rope. After 2 more hard right hands, Zorilla sent Carlito hard to the corner and flew in with a body splash but he missed everything when Carlito moved. Carlito then hit the backcracker and just like that, it was over. Match Time: 3:21 J.R.: "What a move that backcracker is and King, that could take Carlito a long way here on Rampage"! Lawler: "It definitely could and I also want to note, for the record, that I like the new attitude Carlito is showing and I think that is what could take him a long way here on Rampage"! CARLITO's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE EXCHANGED WORDS WITH SOME OF THE FANS AS HE WALKED TOWARDS THE BACK BEFORE THE SHOT WENT TO THE BACKSTAGE AREA. BACKSTAGE.... DRESSING ROOM..... A LONG RED ROBE IS SHOWN ALONG WITH A CROWN AND SCEPTER, SITTING ON A TABLE. THE SHOT THEN PANS OVER TO SHOW MONEY MIKE, SITTING WITH STEPHANIE. THE CROWD INSIDE THE ARENA BOOS AT THEIR VERY SIGHT. Money Mike: "I told you, I'm gonna take care of Taylor Made tonight, but because of what he's done, I want to do more than just beat his ass"! Stephanie McMahon: "Okay, okay, calm down, I'll talk to my dad". STEPHANIE GETS UP AND LEAVES THE DRESSING ROOM AS MIKE LOOKS OVER AT HIS CROWN BEFORE PICKING IT UP AND LOOKING AT IT WITH ADMIRATION. BACK AT RINGSIDE, ASHLEY K's MUSIC, WHICH IS THE OLD SPIRIT SQUAD THEME, HITS AND SHE COMES OUT TO MOSTLY ALL BOOS. J.R.: "Well we are ready for our first title match of the evening, King, but it seems Money Mike and Stephanie are plotting something against Taylor Made". Lawler: "Well what would you do, J.R.? You've got this guy Taylor Made, who compared to Money Mike is a complete peasant, coming on to the queen of the TWF?! I'm sorry, but that's like you thinking you'd have a chance with Jessica Alba"! MICKIE JAMES' MUSIC HITS AND SHE COMES OUT TO A VERY GOOD RESPONSE WITH THE WOMEN's TITLE AROUND HER WAIST. J.R.: "Well I'm not even gonna comment on that remark, but let's move on to another beautiful young lady, our Women's champion, Mickie James"! Lawler: "Well we all know that she took that title from Ashley K. and Ashley would like nothing more than to return the favor here tonight"! TWF Women's Title Match Challenger: Ashley K. vs. Mickie James Mickie and Ashley, two of the most athletic women on the roster, had a great start to the match with an exchange of headscissor takedowns. Ashley got the upper hand after countering a hurracanrana into a powerbomb, but she missed a handspring back elbow in the corner and Mickie hit a bridged german suplex for a 1.......2......., but Ashley was up. Mickie continued to stay on the offensive as Ashley was still stunned from the german suplex. After a big body slam, Mickie came off the middle turnbuckle with a legdrop for a near fall. Mickie then pulled her up and began using Ashley as a punching bag, hitting her with shots to the head and body. Mickie then loaded up the Mick Kick but missed and Ashley yanked her to the mat by the hair. Referee Jack Doan stepped in and issued Ashley a warning, but boos came over the The Scope as Jillian Hall made her way down the ramp. Ashley pulled Mickie up and shot her to the ropes but Mickie scored a sunset flip when she put her head down too soon for a very near fall. Both women got back to their feet and Mickie knocked Ashley into the corner with a kick to the gut. She then got up on the middle turnbuckle and pounded the challenger with 6 or 7 shots to the head. Mickie then got off and played to the crowd a little before she saw Jillian going over and ripping the Women's title away from the timekeeper. Mickie told Doan to do something, but Ashley came from behind and pulled Mickie to the mat by the hair again. Doan screamed that if she did it again, she would be disqualified. Meanwhile, Jilliam had gotten on the apron with the title and she smacked Mickie right in the face with the belt! Ashley then came off the top rope with a nice moonsault, slamming onto the champion and hooking her leg for the 1........2.......3! Match Time: 5:04 Lawler: "She did it! Ashley got the title back"! J.R.: "Yeah, and mention the fact that she just got the biggest assist of all time from Jillian Hall"! ASHLEY K's MUSIC PLAYED AND SHE CELEBRATED BY RAISING THE TITLE IN HER RIGHT HAND, TO WHICH THE CROWD BOOED WHOLEHEARTEDLY. Lawler: "This has got to be a great moment for Ashley, J.R., I feel a celebration coming on tonight! Ya think I'll be invited"?! J.R.: "I just want to know what the hell Jillian's problem is.... she cost Mickie the title"! COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A COMMERCIAL FOR MITCHUM SMART SOLID IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR "PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN 3". RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, THE WORLD's GREATEST TAG TEAM's MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT TO A BIG CHEER. THEY ARE BOTH CARRYING THEIR TAG TEAM TITLES. J.R.: "We welcome you back live here on USA and as you can see, the ring has filled for an over the top rope battle royale"! Lawler: "And it looks like we're gonna be joined for some guest commentary here, J.R."! J.R.: "Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, the reigning Rampage tag team champions will get a first class look at the team they will be defending the titles against at Evil Intentions, welcome guys"! HAAS AND BENJAMIN SHAKE HANDS WITH BOTH J.R. AND THE KING BEFORE EACH GRABBING A HEADSET AND TAKING A SEAT. Lawler: "How's it goin' guys"?! Shelton Benjamin: "Not too bad, King, good to be here". J.R.: "Well guys, we've got six tag teams in the ring and one of them will get a shot at your titles at Evil Intentions". Charlie Haas: "There's some talented teams in that ring, no doubt, Shelton and I just wanted to get a look at what we're gonna be up against". Lawler: "So how's this thing work tonight, J.R."? J.R.: "Well in order for a team to be eliminated, both members of that team have to be thrown over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor". #1 Contenders Tag Team Battle Royale Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hardy's vs. Eye Spy vs. Hollywood Blondes vs. The Major Brothers vs. Canadian-Italian Exchange 12 men were in the ring to start this thing, including the Major Brothers, who were making their TWF debuts. Early on, The Hardy's and the Majors were working together, displaying their quickness and athletic ability to the 4 other teams in the match. But the monstrous Aldo Corleone became a big force, taking all 4 men down with clotheslines before powerslamming Matt Hardy. Joey Mercury became the first elimination of the match as Rob Storm dumped him over the top rope, but Storm followed him right out when Brett Major dropkicked him over the top. Max Ogden got one of the Major Brothers out when he avoided a crossbody from Brian Major and then clotheslined him out. The Hardy's and Johnny Nitro tried to triple team Aldo, and they nearly had him out, but couldn't quite get him. Aldo pushed Nitro away before grabbing Jeff Hardy by the throat and throwing him out of the ring. Matt Hardy got in a couple right hands on Aldo, but after he hit the ropes, Aldo smashed him with the Mafia Kick. He then grabbed Matt by the back of the head and sent him sailing over the top. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch battled with Eye Spy, but Aldo interjected himself into that as well, allowing Ogden to catch Cade with a flying wheel kick that put him out. Aldo then blasted Murdoch with a clothesline that sent him to the floor. Brett Major had Nitro down after a dropkick and he went to the top rope, looking to follow up, but Ogden ran over and pushed him to the floor, officially eliminating Rampage's newest team. Eye Spy was in the ring together along with Aldo Corleone and Johnny Nitro. Nitro, Ogden and Alex Shelley tried to combine their strength to take Aldo out, but they just couldn't do it. After swatting Nitro away, Aldo picked Shelley up with both hands by the throat. Ogden came over and kicked him in the gut twice, forcing Aldo to release Shelley. But Aldo just grabbed Ogden by the throat and whipped him out of the ring. Nitro tried his hand, but Aldo caught him in mid air and threw him over the top rope with a fallaway slam. Nitro slammed onto the hard floor. Aldo looked on at Shelley, the only thing standing in the way of him winning the battle royale. Shelley avoided Aldo, trying to hit and run. He kicked at the legs of the huge Italian, but a dropkick couldn't take him off his feet. Shelley hit the ropes but ran right into a Mafia Kick, which made him easy pickings for an elimination, as Aldo grabbed him and launched him to the floor. Match Time: 7:22 J.R.: "What a performance by Aldo Corleone! My god, guys, what are you up against"?! Benjamin: "There's no doubt that was impressive, looks like Charlie and I have our work cut out for us". Lawler: "Aldo threw out six men in that match"! ALDO CORLEONE STARED DOWN AT THE WORLD's GREATEST TAG TEAM, MOTIONING AROUND HIS WAIST FOR THE TITLES. Haas: "Yeah, we'll be ready buddy, you can bet your ass on that"! J.R.: "The World's Greatest Tag Team now has a date with the Canadian-Italian Exchange after that incredible performance by Aldo Corleone"! Lawler: "And speaking of Evil Intentions, we have some news on that". A REPLAY OF SYLVESTER TERKAY POWERBOMBING BATISTA THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE A FEW WEEKS AGO IS SHOWN. J.R.: "Well let's take you back a few weeks to this dispicable attack by Sylvester Terkay, right after Batista had won a match to qualify himself for a battle royale that would've given him a chance to face Joe Corey for the ECW World title. Now from what we have learned, Batista suffered a seperated shoulder in that attack, but he plans to show up at Evil Intentions to battle the Manbear, going against doctor's orders". Lawler: "Well let's just hope Batista's not rushing himself back to action, because Terkay could permanently injure him at Evil Intentions"! CHRIS MASTERS' MUSIC HITS AND THE CROWD IMMEDIATELY BOOS AS HE COMES OUT AND HEADS TO THE RING. IN THE RING, A CHAIR HAS BEEN PLACED RIGHT IN THE CENTER. MASTERS IS CARRYING THE WRESTLEMANIA JACKPOT BRIEFCASE. J.R.: "Wait a minute, what do we have here"?! Lawler: "What do you mean, J.R., it's the Masterpiece"! J.R.: "Well the last time I checked, Chris Masters was part of the PrimeTime division"! MASTERS IS HANDED A MICROPHONE BY LILIAN GARCIA. Chris Masters: "For those of you who haven't heard, I will be cashing in my WrestleMania Jackpot for a shot at the World title at Evil Intentions! THE CROWD BOOS But, as it turns out, your current World champ feels like he can break my Masterlock! So come on out here, Wakeman, let's see if you can do it"! Lawler: "What? We're gonna have a Masterlock challenge right now"?! J.R.: "Sure looks that way, King"! "MAKE WAY" BY METHOD MAN HITS AND THE CROWD POPS VERY LOUD AS TRAVIS WAKEMAN MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH HIS WORLD TITLE. Lawler: "Do you think Wakeman can break the hold"? J.R.: "I'd say there's a good chance of it"! Masters: "Take a seat..... champ"! WAKEMAN SITS DOWN IN THE CHAIR AND MASTERS DROPS THE MICROPHONE, READY TO APPLY THE HOLD. MASTERS LOCKS THE HOLD IN AND LIFTS WAKEMAN OUT OF THE CHAIR. THE MASTERLOCK IS IN DEEP, BUT THE CROWD IS WAY BEHIND WAKEMAN. WAKEMAN STARTS TO FIGHT THE HOLD, LOOKING FOR A COUNTER. FEELING HIS GRIP LOOSENING, MASTERS LET's GO OF THE HOLD AND KICKS WAKEMAN IN THE GROIN. J.R.: "Ah come on.... what the hell was that"?! MASTERS THEN GRABS THE WRESTLEMANIA JACKPOT BRIEFCASE AND SMACKS WAKEMAN OVER THE HEAD WITH IT. THE CROWD BOOS AS MASTERS PICKS UP THE WORLD TITLE BELT AND RAISES IT WHILE STANDING OVER WAKEMAN. Lawler: "Look at this, J.R., this could be the scene at Evil Intentions"! J.R.: "What kind of a man is Chris Masters?! Wakeman comes out here to take his Masterlock challenge, and once he realizes he can't beat him, Masters just attacks him! What a sorry son of a bitch"! Lawler: "Well like it or not, J.R., that sorry SOB as you just called him, could be our next World champion"! MASTERS MUSIC PLAYS AND THE CROWD IS STILL BOOING AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. J.R.: "We're back here on Rampage and here comes ECW and King, both these men will be in action at Evil Intentions"! Lawler: "And they both look ready tonight, ECW seems stronger than ever if you ask me"! J.R.: "And still to come tonight, Joe Corey will put the ECW World title on the line against Rob Van Dam". THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA STAY OFF AS "IN MY DARKEST HOUR" BY MEGADEATH COMES ON AND NEMESIS MAKES HIS WAY OUT, SLOWLY. Lawler: "Well here comes the guy they call the tormented soul, looks like he forgot his baseball bat tonight". J.R.: "The problems for Nemesis with ECW have been well documented and there's no doubt he'd like to help send these two to Evil Intentions on a losing streak". THE CROWD POPS AS WILLIAM REGAL's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT FROM THE BACK. Lawler: "And there's no doubt William Regal feels the same way, especially with J.J. Ramplin on the other side"! J.R.: "William Regal feels not only disrespected, but I'm sure personally hurt by the actions of J.J. Ramplin. Regal took him under his wing and really put him on the map here in the TWF, but Joe Corey will take all the credit for getting him where he is"! Lawler: "Ramplin won his first title under the ECW flag, literally"! J.R.: "Yeah, well he better be ready for a fight at Evil Intentions, cause that's definitely what he's gonna get out of the man from Blackpool, England"! ECW: J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin and Sylvester Terkay vs. William Regal and Nemesis Regal started things off with the Manbear Terkay and they locked up in a collar and elbow tie. Regal tried to push him into the corner, but Terkay spun him around and then smashed him with haymakers to either side of the head. After a gutwrench suplex, Terkay threw a head kick but Regal ducked and used a double leg takedown to get Terkay to the mat. Regal went for an armbar, but Terkay was able to roll out of the way and then catch him with a shot to the midsection. After a big knee lift, Terkay pulled Regal to the corner and made the tag to Ramplin, who came in and picked up where his partner left off. After a swinging neckbreaker, Ramplin had Regal in a lot of trouble, measuring him for his spear. But Regal got up and kicked Ramplin right in the head as he charged in. Regal then yelled for Ramplin to get up and pounded him with stinging right jabs when he did. After a gutwrench suplex of his own, Regal made the exchange to Nemesis who came in and dominated the King of Cable, using his size and strength to wear him down. After a big clothesline, Nemesis grabbed Ramplin around the throat for a chokeslam but Ramplin kicked free. He then bounced off the ropes but Nemesis grabbed him around the throat again, this time delivering the chokeslam. Terkay came in and hit Nemesis from behind before he could make a cover, but Nemesis began trading shots with the Manbear before kicking him right in the face, knocking him over the top rope. Nemesis then made the tag to Regal who came into the ring and used an Oklahoma roll to pin The Ram. Match Time: 6:38 J.R.: "Regal pins Ramplin! That's gotta give him a psychological advantage heading into their match, King"! Lawler: "Regal might be a veteran capable of beating just about anybody, but Ramplin still has ECW backing him"! RAMPLIN AND TERKAY RETREATED AS REGAL's MUSIC PLAYED AND THE CROWD CHEERED WHILE HE AND NEMESIS STOOD IN THE RING, LOOKING ON. J.R.: "Well on this night, it's Regal and Nemesis standing tall". AFTER A VICIOUS SHOT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD, MIKE PICKED HIM UP AND DELIVERED THE "MONEY PIT" RIGHT ON THE STEEL RAMP! THE CROWD BOOED HASTILY AS MIKE WALKED BACK UP THE RAMP, PROUD OF WHAT HE'D DONE. KELLY GOT DOWN TO CHECK ON TAYLOR, WHO WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN. J.R.: "My God..... Taylor Made might have a broken spine after that"! Lawler: "Well that oughta teach him not to mess with the Queen of the TWF, J.R."! J.R.: "Let's just hope Taylor Made is gonna be okay! Lawler: "I hate to say it, but RVD has gotta be the last guy that Joe Corey wanted to see win that battle royale on the last Rampage"! THROUGH THE ALTERNATE ENTRANCE IN THE CROWD, JOE COREY COMES OUT FROM BEHIND THE CURTAIN ALONG WITH PAUL HEYMAN AS "MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYS AGAIN. HE HAS THE ECW WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST, AND SEEMS IMMUNE TO THE HAILING OF BOOS HE IS RECEIVING FROM THE NEARLY 10,000 FANS. J.R.: "It was back at the King of the Ring where RVD defeated Joe Corey to become the ECW champion, but at the Royal Rumble, The Show took the title and hasn't looked back"! Lawler: "Well he thought he had rid himself of RVD but tonight, he's gotta duplicate that performance at the Rumble"! ECW World Title Match Challenger: Rob Van Dam vs. "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Paul Heyman As the bell sounded, both men looked very ready for the match. RVD bounced around in his fighting stance as Corey moved in. They locked up and Corey went right into a standing side headlock. RVD tried to break free, but instead pushed Corey to the ropes and shot him to the other side. Corey came off the ropes, knocking Van Dam down with a shoulder. Corey then hit the ropes himself but RVD got up and used a leapfrog before going for a front dropkick, but he landed hard on his back when Corey grabbed the ropes to stop his momentum. Corey then put the boots to RVD, stomping his chest and head. RVD tried to fight back, but Corey caught him with a knee right in the face. From there, Corey whipped RVD to the ropes and caught him with a textbook spinebuster, covering him for the 1.......2......., but RVD was up. Corey then went to the middle turnbuckle and walked across the rope, coming off with an elbow drop. But RVD was able to roll out of the way and that breathed new life into the "Whole Damn Show". After a corkscrew legdrop, RVD hit the ropes and delivered the Rolling Thunder. Corey got to his feet, trying to slow RVD down, but RVD used his quick feet to put the champion in trouble. After a kick to either side of the body, RVD pasted Corey with a jumping spin kick to the head. Paul Heyman got up on the apron, looking to run some sort of distraction. RVD made his way over and grabbed Heyman by the collar but Corey came from behind with a flying knee to the back. Corey then pulled RVD up but RVD flung Corey's arms out and put him down with a spinning heel kick. Heyman was still on the apron, tangling with referee Jimmy Korderas. That's when Elijah Burke hit the ring, wielding a steel chair and he smashed an unsuspecting RVD over the head, knocking him clean out with it. Burke quickly scrambled out of the ring and Corey covered Van Dam. Heyman then jumped off the apron, his work done, as Korderas turned around to issue the 1.......2.......3. Match Time: 7:36 J.R.: "What the hell is going on here?! Elijah Burke, the newest superstar on Rampage, just helped Joe Corey retain the ECW World title"! Lawler: "Wait a minute, Burke's back in the ring". ELIJAH BURKE CAME BACK INTO THE RING AND AS HEYMAN APPLAUDED, COREY THREW HIM SOMETHING. IT WAS AN ECW T-SHIRT, AND BURKE GLADLY SLIPPED IT ON BEFORE SHAKING HANDS WITH BOTH COREY AND HEYMAN. "MISERIA CANTARE" KICKED UP AGAIN AS THE CROWD BOOED AS LOUD AS THEY COULD. J.R.: "I don't believe this, ECW has just gotten even bigger"! Lawler: "This is huge, J.R., another edition to ECW! You have to wonder if they can be stopped at this point"! J.R.: "We're out of time, folks, we'll see you next week"! OFF AIR...........
