It seems like there's been a non-stop party going on in Louisiana for weeks since the Saints won the Super Bowl. And to top it all off, the stars of Rampage came to town for a show at the Cajun Dome in front of a monstrous crowd. Kayla Karter vs. Aniya Sky The night started off with divas action and it was the two newest divas on the Rampage roster, both looking for a breakout moment. Aniya Sky got in much more offense in this one, taking Karter down with several big moves before coming off the top rope with a flying clothesline. But she couldn't keep Karter down and after missing with a springboard elbow in the corner, Sky found herself on the mat with Karter yanking her right arm nearly out of the socket. Karter now had a one armed opponent and Sky was in a lot of trouble. As both women got to their feet, Sky was able to get in a kick to the midsection but when she tried to slap her, the injured right arm just gave out. As Sky grabbed at it in pain, Karter smoked her with the "Kay Kick" and covered her for the win. Zack Ryder vs. Ulysses S. Austin (invitee) Bearing the initials U.S.A., Austin came to the ring looking more like Captain America then anything else. Ryder thought he would just overwhelm him, but Austin put up a fight, getting a 2 count after a nice powerslam. But as he stalked Ryder in the corner, Ryder grabbed the front of his tights and pulled him into the middle turnbuckle pad, face first. That led to the "Zack Attack" and another mark in the win column for Ryder. Elijah Burke vs. Primo A very competitive match on Uprising, these two went all out with big move after big move. After taking plenty of punches to the body, Primo was able to get back into the match after catching Burke with a wheel kick off an irish whip. Primo would get three consecutive 2 counts following a tornado ddt, a standing moonsault and a step up enziguri. He then went to the top rope and came off with a missile dropkick, but Burke avoided it. After pulling Primo up and shooting him to the corner, Burke ran in with a head of steam and slammed into him with the "Elijah Express" and that led to a big win for Burke. Carlito vs. Dolph Ziggler After watching his brother go down in defeat, Carlito was looking for a different result but Ziggler was up to the task in what was a very athletic match. After connecting with Ziggler on a running kneelift, Carlito measured him for the "Backstabber", but Ziggler held onto the top rope to block it. He then ran the ropes but Carlito got up and dropkicked him. He then pulled Ziggler up and tried to pull him into a short-armed clothesline, but Ziggler ducked and hit the "Zig Zag" out of nowhere to bring an abrupt end to a highly contested match. The fans booed as Ziggler's music played, but this would not be the last time we'd see him on this night. RAMPAGE GOES LIVE
RIGHT WHEN RAMPAGE COMES ON THE AIR, THE RING IS FILLED WITH THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPION NEW ORLEANS SAINTS ALL WEARING THEIR JERSEYS. IN THERE WITH THEM IS EDDIE SAINT JAMES, MONICA AND THE BOOGEYMAN. Jim Ross: "Welcome to the Cajun Dome here in Lafayette and King, we have some special guests tonight"! Jerry Lawler: "I'll say........ we've got the Super Bowl champions here"! J.R.: "I'm just trying to figure out why the tag team champions are out here with them". Eddie Saint James: "Hello people of Louisiana and everyone watching around the world and welcome to TWF Rampage! THE CROWD CHEERS Tonight, we are proud to welcome our special guests, the New Orleans Saints! DEAFENING CHEERS FOLLOW AS THE CAMERA GETS A CLOSE UP OF DREW BREES AND REGGIE BUSH, WHO IS WITH KIM KARDASHIAN. Eddie Saint James: "This team has a lot in common with the BoogeySaints. First, we're all Saints...... plus, we're the best at what we do. So tonight, we wanted to invite them to watch us take care of business"! THE HART DYNASTY's MUSIC HITS AND THE THREE OF THEM COME OUT TO BOOS. J.R.: "So I show we have a six person tag team match scheduled here but there must be fifty football players in that ring". THE SAINTS PLAYERS ARE ESCORTED OUT OF THE RING AND TO A SECTION OF THE STANDS BY A STAFF MEMBER. Lawler: "I just want to know how the BoogeySaints got the New Orleans Saints here"! J.R.: "And it looks like the Saints will be joining us as spectators for the rest of the broadcast". 6 Person Tag Team Match The Hart Dynasty vs. The BoogeySaints and Monica Tyson Kidd started this match off with Eddie Saint James and Kidd's quickness gave the Hart's an early advantage. After ducking a clothesline, he was able to use the ropes to spring off of and take The Saint down with a reverse crossbody block. Kidd put the boots to The Saint before running the ropes and dropping a legdrop. He made a cover, but Saint was up at 1. Kidd pulled him up and tried to whip him to the ropes but Saint reversed it and kicked him right in the face. He then made the tag to Monica, which forced Natalya into the match. Monica ran over but Natalya was waiting, springboarding into the ring from the apron and nailing Monica with a flying shoulder tackle, looking a lot like her father back in the day. Natalya then scooped the Women's champion up and slammed her to the mat. Harry Smith tagged into the match and he caught The Boogeyman not paying attention, pulling him into the ring. After smashing him with a clothesline, Smith pulled him up and delivered a stalling suplex, dropping him right on his head. Smith got up, full of adrenaline and picked The Boogeyman up onto his shoulder. He was ready to deliver the running powerslam when an alert Monica slapped the foot of The Boogeyman as Smith swung him around. Referee Scott Martin tried to explain the situation to Smith as he dropped Boogeyman but just then, Monica came up and slapped him across the face. She had taken her focus off of Natalya, however, and she came from behind with a double axe handle to Monica's back. After dropping Monica across her knee with a pendulum backbreaker, Natalya went for the cover but The Saint came in and pulled her off. This brought the Hart's and Boogeyman into the ring and the fight was on. But in the center of the ring, Natalya had Monica set up for the Sharpshooter. As she stepped into it though, Monica yanked her hair, pulling her into a small package and Martin got down to make a 3 count. Match Time: 5:18 J.R.: "She got her! Monica pinned Natalya"! Lawler: "Well we've seen those two ladies have their problems lately but it's the Women's champion who comes out on top tonight"! "I WILL BE HEARD" BY HATEBREED PLAYS AS MONICA AND THE BOOGEYSAINTS LEAVE, ALL WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE TITLES. J.R.: "I'll tell ya, King, this trio is becoming as dominant as any we've seen in the TWF in years! Maybe they do have a lot in common with the Super Bowl champions"! Lawler: "I don't think anyone can figure these guys out"! J.R.: "Well fans you don't want to go away...... there is much more action to come tonight"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.................. COMMERCIALS FOR SONIC AND VERIZON WIRELESS ARE SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, EZEKIEL JACKSON IS IN THE RING AND HIS MUSIC IS PLAYING. HE HAS AN INTIMIDATING LOOK ON HIS FACE AS HE STARES BACK AT THE ENTRANCE, AWAITING HIS OPPONENT. "MISTERRRRR KENNEDYYYYYYY" IS HEARD AND KENNEDY COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO A BIG POP, HEADING DOWN THE RAMP. J.R.: "We welcome you back to Rampage live here on the USA network and we're ready for a slobberknocker right now, King"! Lawler: "Mr. Kennedy has a tree to climb here tonight.... look at the size of Ezekiel Jackson"! J.R.: "The Royal Rumble is fast approaching and who can forget a couple years ago when Mr. Kennedy outlasted twenty-nine other men to win it"? Lawler: "And that's exactly how this match came about. Kennedy thought he should be given a free pass into this year's Rumble match and instead, he got a match with this monster". Ezekiel Jackson vs. Mr. Kennedy Kennedy and Jackson locked up and Jackson was clearly the much stronger of the two, pushing Kennedy to the mat. Jackson then flexed his arms as Kennedy got up and acted like he was going to lock up with him again but he pulled away and kicked the back of Jackson's leg. Jackson threw a clothesline but Kennedy ducked and tried to pull him into the "Mic Check". But Jackson blocked it and pushed Kennedy away before smashing him with a clothesline. Jackson then slowed the pace of the match way down, using his immense power to wear down Kennedy. After a gutwrench suplex, Jackson made a cover but Kennedy was up at 2. Jackson continued the pounding, slamming Kennedy to the mat before dropping a big elbow across his chest. Another pinfall attempt got Jackson another 2 count before he pulled Kennedy up. Kennedy threw a couple of right hands from his knees into the gut of Jackson but they had little effect. Jackson then whipped Kennedy with so much force into the corner you could see the ring move. Very methodically, Jackson continued to pummel Kennedy. After shooting him to the corner again, he ran in but Kennedy got a foot into his face. Jackson came in again but Kennedy moved and then delivered an impressive backdrop suplex. Quickly, Kennedy went to the top rope and came off with his Ken-Ton Bomb! He made the cover and got 1.......2.........., but Jackson pressed him off out of the cover! Kennedy ran the ropes and ducked a clothesline before drilling Jackson with a forearm to the face. He then threw a roundhouse kick to the head but Jackson used his hands to simply swat him away. Kennedy hit the mat and when he got up, Jackson latched onto him and delivered the "Book of Ezekiel" with a ton of force. Jackson went right down into the cover and this time got a 3 count. Match Time: 11:27 Lawler: "Oh my gosh....... Kennedy might have a broken neck after that"! J.R.: "A huge win for Ezekiel Jackson! He just defeated a former World champion in the middle of the ring"! JACKSON's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE LEFT THE RING TO NOTHING BUT BOOS AS REFEREE JACK DOAN GOT DOWN TO CHECK ON KENNEDY, WHO SEEMED TO BE IN A LOT OF PAIN. Lawler: "I think it's safe to say that this guy is going to be a force here on Rampage, J.R.". BACKSTAGE AREA........ IN THE BACK, TODD GRISHAM IS SHOWN WITH THE LOVELY MARIA. Todd Grisham: "With me here at this time is the newest diva on Rampage..... Maria. Maria, you recently had your PrimeTime contract run up and it didn't take long for you to land on Rampage". Maria: "And I am soooo excited to be here, Todd, I mean.............. JUST THEN, CJ LETHAL ENTERS THE SHOT. CJ Lethal: "Hey there, Maria. LETHAL OFFERS HIS HAND. WHEN MARIA GIVES HIM HERS, HE KISSES IT. I too am excited to have you around here and before anyone beats me to it...... I wanted to see if you wanted to..... ya know, hang out"? Maria: "Uh....... that could be a bit of......... CJ Lethal: "Actually, hold that thought. I've got a match to get ready for tonight.... I'll get back to you". CJ LETHAL WALKS AWAY AND MARIA WATCHES WITH A FUNNY LOOK ON HER FACE. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE ROB STORM IS WITH LANCE CADE. STORM HAS A MICROPHONE. Rob Storm: "Listen up! THE ALREADY BOOING CROWD BECOMES LOUDER. Rob Storm: "After all my lobbying...... after all my picketing..... this company has finally found me some singles competition! So bring him out..... bring him out now"! "IN THE SHADOWS" BY THE RASMUS STARTS UP AND JADEN CORE COMES OUT TO A GOOD POP. J.R.: "So as Rob Storm just said, he has been given a match which he has been whining about for months, but it's against the mysterious Jaden Core". Lawler: "Whining? I think that was a little harsh, J.R., I don't consider what Storm's been doing whining". J.R.: "Well that's your take and I have mine, but if Storm wants to get some attention, this is his chance". Rob Storm w/ Lance Cade vs. Jaden Core As the bell sounded to start the match, Storm walked up and got right in Core's face before piefacing him with his right hand. Core fired back with a right hand before a whip kick to the body. Core then hit the ropes and took Storm down with a hurricanrana. He went outside the ring to the apron but Cade made his way over, only to catch a kick to the head from Core. But that allowed Storm time to recover and he smashed Core with a running forearm before bringing him back into the ring with a suplex. Storm grabbed the ring leg of Core and tried to turn him over into the 'Toronto Maple Leaf' but Core reached for and got the ring ropes. Storm pulled Core up but Core got a thrust chop into his throat area. He followed that up with another stiff kick but this time, to the side of the head. Cade the got up on the apron to run distraction again but Core took him out with a flying knee to the head, an incredible move. But Storm got up and grabbed the mask of Core, nearly taking it off. In an effort to protect it, Core allowed himself to be rolled up by Storm, who got a 3 count. Match Time: 3:27 STORM ROLLED OUT OF THE RING AS THE CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM STARTED TO PLAY AND HE AND CADE LEFT, BUT STORM LOOKED AS IF HE HAD SEEN A GHOST. Lawler: "He got him"! J.R.: "Rob Storm gets the win and he nearly exposed the identity of Jaden Core"! Lawler: "Does this mean that Jaden Core doesn't want his identity known? I think Storm knows who it is"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....................... A COMMERCIAL FOR FRONTIER AIRLINES IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR KFC. RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, THE THEME MUSIC OF SHEAMUS COMES ON AND HE COMES OUT TO PURELY BOOS. J.R.: "We are back live here in Cajun country for Rampage and it's time for the Celtic Warrior, King". Lawler: "One of the new young lions that we have here on Rampage.... Sheamus has a big opportunity tonight". "BLACK" BY SEVENDUST STRIKES UP AND SEBASTIAN CAIN COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. HE HAS THE KING OF CABLE TITLE STRAPPED TO HIS WAIST AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING. J.R.: "A tall order in front of the King of Cable tonight but Sebastian Cain's title will not be on the line here". Lawler: "But think of what a win could do for Sheamus....... J.R.: "You could make the argument that Sebastian Cain has been as good as anyone in the TWF over the last six months or so and he has taken on competitors of all forms..... tonight will be no different with the Celtic Warrior". Non-Title Match Sheamus beat his own chest as the match got underway but Cain came right at him, ducking a right hand before catching him with 3 left jabs to the mouth. Cain then ran the ropes and went for a crossbody but Sheamus showed incredible strength by catching him and putting him down with a fallaway slam. After several stomps to the body of Cain, Sheamus waited for him to get up before clotheslining him out of the ring. Sheamus went outside with him, driving the back of Cain into the ring apron twice before whipping him into the ring post. Cain was taking a harsh beating and blood started to trickle from both nostrils. Sheamus pulled him up and rolled him back into the ring but when he went for the cover, he could only get a 2 count. Sheamus got him up but Cain blocked a right hand and fired back with a few of his own. After a kick to the gut, he ran the ropes and kicked Sheamus right in the temple. The taste of his own blood seemed to enrage Cain as he belted Sheamus with a barrage of kicks to the body in the corner. Finally, referee Chad Patton pulled the over agressive Cain away and as this was going on, Sheamus turned and quickly removed the top turnbuckle pad. Cain sprung back at him, jumping to the middle turnbuckle and firing down with more punches but Cain noticed the missing pad and pointed it out to Patton before attempting a tornado DDT but Sheamus threw him across the ring. Sheamus then pulled Cain up but Cain used a small package and he had Sheamus pinned. But Patton was busy trying to replace the turnbuckle pad. Sheamus got out and was able to drop Cain with a crippling lowblow. Cain did his best to get back to his feet but when he did, Sheamus connected with the bicycle kick and covered him for the 1.............2................3. Match Time: 6:39 Lawler: "He got him! Sheamus has just pinned Sebastian Cain"! J.R.: "Quite a bit of extracurricular activity going on there behind the back of the referee and that's not the way I would've liked to see this one end". Lawler: "Wait a minute..... what's Sheamus doin' now"? AFTER THE MATCH, SHEAMUS WENT AND GRABBED THE KING OF CABLE TITLE BELT BEFORE COMING BACK INTO THE RING WITH IT. HE PULLED CAIN UP TO HIS FEET BEFORE BLASTING HIM IN THE HEAD WITH HIS OWN BELT! J.R.: "Oh come on! The match is over"! SHEAMUS LOOKED LIKE HE PLANNED ON DOING MORE DAMAGE WHEN MUHAMMAD HASSAN RAN OUT FROM THE BACK WITH A STEEL CHAIR IN HAND, CHASING SHEAMUS OUT OF THE RING. Lawler: "And look at this...... Muhammad Hassan is helping Cain"! SHEAMUS LEFT TO SOME SERIOUS HEAT WITH A GRIN ON HIS FACE AS HASSAN HELD THE CHAIR OUT, INVITING HIM TO COME BACK. J.R.: "When did you ever think you'd see Muhammad Hassan help someone out? Wow...... the TWF is a crazy place". Lawler: "And who knows what Sheamus would've done if it wasn't for him"! BACKSTAGE............. CAMERAS IN THE BACK CATCH EDGE, WHO SEEMS TO BE IN A STATE OF PANIC AS HE WALKS THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA, YELLING AT EVERYONE IN SIGHT. HE THEN COMES UPON TWF AGENTS MIKE ROTUNDA AND STEVE KEIRN. Edge: "Where the hell is it"?! Steve Keirn: "Where is what"? Edge: "The briefcase..... the briefcase is gone"! Mike Rotunda: "Well, it's not that it was ever yours in the first place". Edge: "Oh, good one, Rotunda..... you gonna give me some lame speech about doing my taxes too? Just shut up and get outta my face". EDGE PUSHES PAST THE TWO AGENTS. THE SHOT THEN GOES BACK TO THE RING. MIKE KNOX IS SHOWN IN THE RING WAITING HIS OPPOSITION. "RUN TO THE HILLS" BY IRON MAIDEN HITS, BRINGING TROY GAFGEN OUT. Lawler: "So let me get this straight..... Edge has lost the WrestleMania Jackpot briefcase"? J.R.: "That's certainly the way it seems and the question has to be asked..... if he doesn't have it, who does"? Lawler: "Ooooh boy, all I know is someone is gonna pay a severe price if Edge gets his hands on them". J.R.: "Well as Mike Rotunda pointed out, it was never his to begin with". Troy Gafgen vs. Mike Knox This was a hard hitting contest between two men known for their brawling. Gafgen got in some stinging right hands that knocked Knox into the corner but Knox came back with a knee to the gut followed by a stiff clothesline. He then got down and used his right hand to choke Gafgen. He then got to his feet and went for an elbow drop but Gafgen rolled out of the way. Knox got up and Gafgen pushed him into the corner before slamming into him with 2 reverse elbows. Gafgen then whipped Knox into the far corner and ran in but Knox got a foot up in his face. He then showed some unbelievable agility for a man his size, flying into Gafgen with a 300 plus pound crossbody. He had Gafgen pinned but only got a 2 count. Knox got to his feet and he pulled Gafgen up, going for an irish whip but Gafgen reversed it and went for a big boot. Knox was able to catch his foot and he pulled him right into a clothesline. Knox again went for the cover, getting 2 and a half. He got Gafgen to his feet again but Gafgen used his head, burying it into the abdomen of Knox. After some stiff right hands, he picked Knox up and delivered a swinging sideslam, much like the one the Big Boss Man used to use. Gafgen went for his first cover attempt, but Knox was up at 2. Knox was slow to get to his feet and Gafgen set him up for the powerbomb. Many of the fans seemed to have doubt that he could pull it off, but Gafgen got the massive Knox up and drove him into the mat with authority, stacking him up for the 3 count. Match Time: 6:18
"Run to the Hills" plays throughout the arena. Troy slowly gets up, obviously tired from the match. He looks over his opponent, and begins to leave the ring. Suddenly, Knox runs over, and smashes Troy in the back with an axe handle.
The crowd begins to boo, as Knox lays into Troy with several vicious stomps. He lifts Troy up, only to level him with a devastating clothesline. He continues to stomp Troy's midsection until finally "Hey Man, Nice Shot" by Filter begins to play. Knox stops, confused, and looks towards the entrance ramp. Lawler: "What the heck is going on now"? J.R.: "It's Richard Ramsley..... and he's on his way to the ring".
Slowly, Richard Ramsley comes out, steel chair in hand. He just stands at the head of the ramp, staring into the ring. At this point, Troy begins to get back up. Knox quickly levels him with a boot to the face, then returns to staring at Ramsley. Very slowly, Ramsley starts to walk down the ramp. His face bares the same blank expression it's had for the past few weeks.
Knox begins to once again stomp on the midsection of Troy, pausing every few seconds, to look at Ramsley. Ramsley, still walking as slow as possible, begins to walk up the steps of the ring. He quickly tosses the chair into the ring, and enters through the ropes.
Knox backs up a bit, and Ramsley walks in between him and Gafgen. Troy slowly gets to one knee and looks between Ramsley and Knox. He gets up and begins to stare at Ramsley. Slowly, he nods, and a small smile forms on his face. He continues to nod and then pats Ramsley on the shoulder a few times.
As soon as Troy let's go of his shoulder, however, Ramsley snaps back, and decks Gafgen with a heavy right hand. Knox has a look of shock on his face, as he watches Ramsley take his turn at stomping on Troy's midsection. Ramsley picks up a beaten down Troy and drags him over to the ropes. Methodically, he ties Gafgen's arms in between the top and middle ropes. Troy looks up at Ramsley groggily, only to receive a vicious smack to the face from Ramsley.
Knox begins to laugh as Ramsley walks over to the chair he brought with him. He lifts it up and walks over to him. He motions towards Troy with it, lightly taps his forehead with it, and then holds it out towards Knox. Knox smiles and takes the chair from him.
He steps towards Gafgen and then gives him a quick kick to the gut. He raises the chair high above his head... but is swiftly dropped by a kick to the groin from behind by Ramsley! He drops the chair and instantly falls to his knees. In a flash, Ramsley is all over him. He quickly mounts him and begins to pummel him with powerful haymakers to the head.
Ramsley then dismounts Knox and walks over to the chair he dropped. He lays it in the middle of the ring and then lifts up Knox. He places his head under his arm, positions him over the chair, and then delivers a devastating Flatliner onto the chair. The impact rings through the arena like a gunshot, and Knox is left practically twitching.
Ramsley refuses to stop, however, and proceeds to pick him up and deliver another Flatliner onto the chair. Blood is now pouring from Knox's forehead as referees and medics rush from the back to check on him.
In the middle of the confusion, Ramsley walks over to Troy and releases him from the ropes. He helps Troy to his feet and walks him over to the corner, allowing him to lean on it. He then walks over to the other side of the ring and motions for a microphone. He grabs the chair and sets it up in the center of the ring and sits down.
Richard Ramsley: "I would like..... to reintroduce myself".
The crowd begins to boo loudly at the sound of Ramsley's voice.
Ramsley: My name... is Richard Ramsley. And I am the worst nightmare of every single individual in that locker room... save for one person..... Troy Gafgen.
Troy looks generally confused, but remains in the corner.
Ramsley: You see, a lot has happened to me in the past few weeks, and for all intents and purposes, the Richard Ramsley you all knew is DEAD.
The crowd now joins Troy in his confusion. They can be heard murmuring to themselves as Ramsley continues.
Ramsley: You see, I was incredibly angry. I have a less than perfect past and I had a hard time dealing with it. I lashed out at everyone and everything, until one day, I put all of my hate and my anger on Sebastian Cain. I attacked him physically, and emotionally, and I brought him to the brink. I told myself that if I could just change him, I would prove to myself and everybody that I wasn't crazy. I could prove that my way was the right way. But you know what happened? I was wrong.
At this point, Ramsley gets up, and begins to pace the ring. Knox is slowly being assisted by the refs up the ramp.
Ramsley: No matter what I did, I couldn't break Cain, and in the end, he beat me. Not once, but twice. I went back the other day and I watched our matches and you know what? I realized something very important. Something that.... quite honestly, it pains me to admit. It was this: WrestleMania. The biggest event our industry has. In my very first year on Rampage, I was wrestling a match on the biggest stage of them all. Not only that, it was a title match. And what happened? I lost. I removed the turnbuckle to inflict pain on Sebastian Cain, and because of that, I lost.
Troy slowly moves away from the corner and towards Ramsley.
Ramsley: Meltdown. Our rematch; a ladder match. For almost twenty minutes, I destroyed Cain. But in the end, I lost again, and you know what? It was my fault. I had that match won on a few occasions, but because of my blind anger, I threw those opportunities away. The thing I learned was.... it wasn't my past that was holding me down... it was me. I was the one that was getting in my way. But no more.
Ramsley suddenly turns to Troy.
Ramsley: Troy, I was lost in my own darkness. I was stuck. I don't know why, but you tried to talk to me... to befriend me. For reasons I don't know, you were somehow able to pull me out of my own pit of despair, and for that.... I'm thankful.
Ramsley then does something for the first time in his entire career. He extends his hand to Troy. Gafgen looks utterly shocked. Slowly, he reaches out, and grabs Ramsley's hand. Ramsley gives an almost evil grin and shakes his hand, vigorously.
Ramsley: Troy... I'm not a religious man, but whether you know it or not, you've just signed a pact with the proverbial Devil. You see, I'm not the Ramsley you knew before, no, I'm someone much worse. In that ladder match... I touched that belt... I felt it in my fingertips. And you know what? It felt good.... I want gold, Troy. I have to have it. See, I'm still just as angry and psychotic as I was before, but I'm focused now. I don't want to just hurt people, I want to succeed. I'm going to be the biggest thing this damn company has ever seen!
Ramsley's face is one of complete ecstasy. He looks as if he's literally looking into the future as he walks over to the corner and climbs to the top turnbuckle.
Ramsley: I'm going to win all the major championships, Hell, ALL the championships this company can give me! I'm going into the Hall of Fame and years and years, and years from now when people talk about the greatest wrestler that ever lived, they won't be talking about Drew Blood, or Money Mike, or even Travis Wakeman, they'll be talking about Richard Ramsley!
The arena practically shakes with the crowds boos and Ramsley just closes his eyes, spreads his arms wide and takes it all in with a sick grin. Suddenly, he jumps down from the top rope and walks over to Gafgen. He grabs his head and pulls him close to him. Troy looks slightly nervous as Ramsley begins to speak again.
Ramsley: And you know what they say, don't you, Troy? Those that side with greatness become great themselves. Because YOU were the one that woke me up, you're going to get to ride my star... at least until I get tired of you!
Ramsley begins to laugh as he let's go of Gafgen. Troy still looks nervous, but then starts to smile and nod. Ramsley picks up on this and pats him on the back.
Ramsley: Like I said, allow me to reintroduce myself! I am Richard Ramsley, the greatest, most vicious, most sadistic, most intelligent wrestler to ever step foot in this ring, and this, Ladies and Gentlemen.... is Troy Gafgen. I will mold this man into another version of myself and together.... we're going to own this company. Come on, Troy.... we have a lot of planning to do". "HEY MAN, NICE SHOT" PLAYS AGAIN AND A SILENCE HAS FALLEN OVER THE CROWD. J.R.: "I really don't even know how to assess what we just saw, King, but to say that Ramsley is off his rocker would be a major understatement". Lawler: "And see, I think he knows exactly what he's doing. Off his rocker? I think quite the opposite, J.R..... Ramsley is what some people would call an evil genius and now...... he's got Gafgen as an apprentice. Look out............ COMMERCIAL BREAK........... A COMMERCIAL FOR TARGET IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A USA PROGRAMMING AD FOR "PSYCHE". RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, CAMERAS IN THE BACK HAVE PICKED UP A CONVERSATION BETWEEN DUKE AXE AND J.J. RAMPLIN. Duke Axe: "I get that, J.J., I do, but we were so close.... I can't help but feel it was my fault we didn't win the Rampage tag belts". J.J. Ramplin: "Don't think like that, dude, we have another really big opportunity in front of us tonight and......... JUST THEN, JASON OLIVER COMES UP. Jason Oliver: "Hey J.J., I just wanted to let you know that if things get out of hand out there tonight with Orton and Rhodes..... I got your back". J.J. Ramplin: "Oh, so now Jason Oliver wants to be my friend? Really, after everything we've been through over the years"? Jason Oliver: "Look, I know how Orton and Rhodes are better than anyone..... I'm just lookin' out". J.J. Ramplin: "For who? For me..... or yourself? See Jason, it seems you have run out of allies here in the TWF and the way I see it....... you're trying to rebuild as many bridges as you can". RAMPLIN AND AXE WALK OFF AS OLIVER IS LEFT STANDING THERE. Dolph Ziggler and CJ Lethal vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz and Yoshi Tatsu Dolph Ziggler, who also competed earlier on Uprising was out for his second match of the evening, teaming with CJ Lethal. But Cruz and Yoshi Tatsu made up a very good team, combining the mat wrestling of Cruz and the speed and high flying ability of Tatsu to overwhelm Ziggler and Lethal for about the first 4 minutes of the match. After a missile dropkick on Ziggler, Tatsu tagged in Cruz who came in with an Oklahoma roll and nearly pinned Ziggler. Both men got up and Ziggler missed with a wild clothesline before Cruz put him down with a belly to belly suplex. Lethal tried to sneak up on Cruz from behind but Cruz turned around and dropped him with a right hand. He then grabbed his legs but before he could do anything, Ziggler came from behind. He then whipped Cruz to the corner and charged in, only to catch a foot to the face. Cruz immediately slapped the hand of Yoshi Tatsu who used the ropes to springboard into the ring, dropping a big leg across the throat of Ziggler. He went for the cover and got 2 and a half before Lethal came into the ring and yanked Tatsu off. Cruz came into the ring and began brawling with Lethal. As he started to get the better of Lethal with his right hands, Tatsu got up and delivered a vicious kick to the head on Lethal before Cruz clotheslined him over the top rope. But Tatsu had taken his eyes of Ziggler and Ziggler came from behind, delivering the "Zig Zag" on Yoshi and covering him for the 1............2............3. Match Time: 7:19 "PERFECTION" PLAYED AS LETHAL GOT IN THE RING TO CELEBRATE THE WIN WITH ZIGGLER. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, LETHAL PICKED YOSHI TATSU UP OVER HIS HEAD AND LAUNCHED HIM OUT ONTO THE FLOOR. Courtney Taylor: "Axl, according to Edge, the WrestleMania Jackpot briefcase has gone missing. I gotta say..... all the fingers are being pointed at you". Axl Irvin: "And I wish they were accurate. That's my damn briefcase and now the guy who stole it from me doesn't even know where it is. But I'll tell ya this..... by the end of this night, I'm gonna get to the bottom of it". AXL WALKS AWAY AND THE SHOT GOES TO THE DIVAS DRESSING ROOM. KIM KARDASHIAN, THE GUEST OF NEW ORLEANS SAINTS RUNNING BACK REGGIE BUSH, IS LAUGHING AND HAVING A GOOD TIME WITH KELLY AND SOME OF THE OTHER DIVAS. KIM TELLS THE GIRLS BYE AND EXITS THE ROOM, BUT SHE ACCIDENTALLY BUMPS INTO KAYLA KARTER. Kayla Karter: "Ugh.... what the hell is your problem"? Kim Kardashian: "Um.... I'm sorry, I didn't see you there". Kayla Karter: "What is this, Hollywood night or something? It's not like we don't have enough prissy little girls in that dressing room and now we have someone like you........... Kim Kardashian: "Excuse me, someone like me? What's that supposed to mean"? Kayla Karter: "Don't raise your voice with me you little bitch...... you won't like me when I'm mad". KARTER PUSHES KARDASHIAN OUT OF THE WAY AND WALKS BY HER AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK...................... A COMMERCIAL FOR DAIRY QUEEN IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR JUST FOR MEN HAIR COLOR. RETURN FROM BREAK...... BACKSTAGE...... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW AXL IRVIN MAKING HIS WAY THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHEN HE IS APPROACHED FROM BEHIND BY CHRIS TIRPAK. Chris Tirpak: "Hey..... Axl"! IRVIN TURNS AROUND TO SEE TIRPAK HOLDING A BRIEFCASE. Chris Tirpak: "Looking for something"? HE HANDS AXL THE BRIEFCASE AND AXL IS JUST SPEECHLESS. Chris Tirpak: "Time's runnin' out..... ya better go cash that thing in". TIRPAK TURNS AND WALKS AWAY AS AXL CRACKS A GRIN. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "WANTED MAN" BY REV THEORY COMES ON AND J.J. RAMPLIN COMES OUT ALONG WITH DUKE AXE TO A GOOD CHEER. Lawler: "What is going on back there, J.R.? Chris Tirpak just handed the briefcase back to Axl Irvin"? J.R.: "He did the right thing, King. I've been saying all along that the contract in that briefcase is worthless to anyone but Axl Irvin but Tirpak did make a good point.... time is running out on Axl to use that title shot". "VOICES" BY REV THEORY COMES ON AND RANDY ORTON COMES OUT ALONG WITH CODY RHODES TO THE MOST HEAT OF THE NIGHT. Lawler: "Well then let's get to our tag team main event and here comes the World champion"! J.R.: "Along with Cody Rhodes and King, you'll recall that it was a tag team match at War in the Winter which Rhodes pinned Jason Oliver in, preventing him from getting a rematch. If you ask me, Orton owes Rhodes a bit of a thank you for that". Lawler: "You would feel that way, J.R.. Rhodes was just doing his job, that's it". J.R.: "And also at War in the Winter, it was this same team of J.J. Ramplin and Duke Axe that came within an eyelash of ending the long title reign of the BoogeySaints. Imagine what Ramplin or Axe pinning Randy Orton right here tonight would do for their careers". J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin and Duke "Diamond Spider" Axe vs. Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes Axe started the match off with Rhodes and right away, Axe began to clap his hands in an effort to get the crowd involved. They reciprocated, clapping and cheering as he locked up with Rhodes. Rhodes was able to push him to the corner and when referee Jim Korderas asked for a break, Rhodes snuck in a cheap shot before blasting Axe with a knifedge chop. Rhodes then whipped Axe across the ring into the corner and delivered a big backbody drop when he came out. Rhodes flashed a smug look in the direction of Ramplin before dropping a big knee across the forehead of Axe. He made an aggressive cover, but the rookie was up at 2. Rhodes pulled him up and ran in the direction of Ramplin. But Ramplin blocked his right hand attempt and blasted him with one of his own, allowing Axe to get up and deliver a flapjack drop. Axe then dove to his corner and tagged in Ramplin. After taking Rhodes down with back to back clotheslines, Ramplin pointed in the direction of Orton, telling him to get in the ring. Orton had a very surprised "Are you kidding me" look on his face. Rhodes slapped his hand and Orton came in. Ramplin came at him with a clothesline but Orton ducked before delivering a perfect dropkick right on the button. Orton then hammered away at Ramplin with punches and stomps to his prone opponent. He then picked him up and positioned him for a suplex but Ramplin blocked it and used a quick small package to get 1............2..............., but Orton was up. Surprised, Orton threw a right hand but Ramplin blocked it and shot Orton to the ropes, delivering the Ram's Horns! Both men were down but slowly, behind the crowd's encouragement, The Ram began to move towards Orton, finally draping an arm across his chest. Korderas got down and made the 1...............2............, but Orton got his right shoulder up. Ramplin pulled Orton to the corner and made the tag to Axe, who went to the top rope. As Ramplin held Orton, Axe flew off the top rope with a double axe handle to the back of the head. Axe made a cover but again, a 2 count was registered. He pulled Orton up and went for an irish whip but the World champion reversed it and caught Axe with a kick that was way below the belt. Orton then pulled him up and set him up for the "RKO" but Axe pushed out of it, sending Orton to the ropes where Rhodes slapped his shoulder to make himself the legal man in the match. Probably less than 10 people in the arena actually saw it. Orton ran at Axe but Axe countered with a backbody drop. Axe then went to pull him up but Rhodes came from behind and grabbed him, delivering the "Cross Rhodes"! The 3 count was made and the match was over. Match Time: 8:53 Lawler: "Rhodes has done it again"! J.R.: "You said it, King.... Cody Rhodes is rolling but hey, there's Oliver"! JASON OLIVER COMES OUT AND IS ALL OVER RANDY ORTON BUT RHODES COMES FROM BEHIND AND A TWO ON ONE ATTACK BEGINS. RHODES AND ORTON ARE PUTTING THE BOOTS TO OLIVER WHEN J.J. RAMPLIN COMES TRIES TO HELP HIM OUT. HE KNOCKS ORTON DOWN WITH A RIGHT HAND AND BEGINS TO TRADE SHOTS WITH RHODES. BUT ORTON ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AND RETRIEVES THE WORLD TITLE BELT. ORTON THEN GETS BACK INTO THE RING AND SMASHES RAMPLIN IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH THE BELT BEFORE DELIVERING THE "RKO"! J.R.: "Oh what an RKO"! Lawler: "He put The Ram down for good with that one, J.R."! OUT FROM THE BACK COMES JADEN CORE AND HE HAS A STEEL CHAIR IN HAND. HE GETS INTO THE RING BUT ORTON AND RHODES QUICKLY GET OUT OF IT. J.R.: "Well it looks like Orton and Rhodes are gonna win the battle, but thank God Jaden Core came out here because they had much more in mind"! Lawler: "They sure did! With the help of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton is laying waste to any and all competition he may have for that World title"! AS "VOICES" PLAYS AGAIN, ORTON RAISES THE WORLD TITLE IN HIS RIGHT HAND AS HE AND RHODES LOOK BACK AT JADEN CORE IN THE RING. OFF AIR..............
