Miami, Florida
Attendance: 14, 290
January 9, 2013
Coming off the first hiatus in TWF history, fans weren't sure what to expect with this show. But with promotion starting right after the new year in the Miami area, fans still came out in droves for the event. Jim Ross: "It has been over four months since the TWF held an event but tonight, from Miami, Florida... exclusively on the TWF Network... the TWF has returned"! Jerry Lawler: "And just before Rampage came on the air, Money Mike and Stephanie McMahon came to the ring and they're ready to address this crowd"! Money Mike: "So the TWF is back. The TWF is back in my hometown of Miami". THERE ARE SOME CHEERS WHEN MIKE ANNOUNCES THE CITY WHERE RAMPAGE IS BEING TELEVISED, BUT MOST FANS STILL BOO. So Steph and I just wanted to welcome you all back and to let you all know that you will be witnessing a brand new TWF than the one you got used to seeing on the USA and FOX networks. Now, we are... JUST THEN, TRAVIS WAKEMAN HAS HIT THE RING AND HE TACKLES MONEY MIKE, MUCH TO THE SURPRISE OF THE CROWD. STEPHANIE DOES HIS BEST TO PULL HIM OFF BUT WAKEMAN GETS SEVERAL SHOTS ON MIKE. J.R.: "What in the hell is this"?! Rampage has started with an explosion"! Lawler: "Yeah, J.R., the last we knew, these two ran The Empire together and now... now what"?! MONEY MIKE AND STEPHANIE LEAVE THE RING. WAKEMAN GRABS THE MICROPHONE HE WAS USING AND THROWS IT IN THE DIRECTION OF MIKE. MIKE PULLS STEPHANIE UP THE RAMP AND INTO THE BACK AND WAKEMAN LOOKS LIKE HE IS FURIOUS. J.R.: "What a start to this night". COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, CRIS HENNING IS STANDING IN THE RING WHEN "FEED ME MORE" COMES ON AND RYBACK STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK. J.R.: "Ladies and gentleman, we are back live on TWF Rampage and during the break we tried to get to the bottom of that situation between Travis Wakeman and Money Mike. We're now being told that Money Mike and Stephanie McMahon have left the building". Lawler: "There are definitely some answers that I'm sure everyone watching would like to have". J.R.: "At the alst pay-per-view event, this man, Ryback, made his TWF debut. Despite his team losing their match at Deadly Games, this guy made a big impression, King". Lawler: "Oh boy did he ever. I don't envy Cris Henning tonight". Cris Henning vs. Ryback An obviously intimidated Henning waited until Ryback stepped through the ropes and began hammering Ryback with repeated forearm smashes to the back. The referee signaled for the bell to start the match as Ryback's music abruptly cuts off. The forearm smashes had little effect, other than angering the large grappler. Ryback grabbed Henning underneath the armpits and shoved him back as hard as he could, clearing half of the ring. A shocked Henning sat up, completely clueless at what to do with the snarling Ryback staring back at him. With that, Henning got a running start and charged Ryback, to which Ryback responded with a stiff shoulder block. Henning dropped, as if he had hit a brick wall. Ryback then set Henning up and dropped him violently with a vicious powerbomb. Not releasing the hold, he lifted him up for a second powerbomb, followed by a third consecutive powerbomb. Finally releasing the hold, Henning slid limply from Ryback's grip. Looking into the crowd, Ryback began chanting "Feed Me More!" as the crowd chanted along with him. He made his way to a corner and began winding up his right arm, as he waited for Henning to make his way to his feet. Disoriented, Henning began looking from side to side, only to be met with a running lariat from a charging Ryback. The impact dropped Henning immediately, almost folding him up like an accordion. Staring back into the crowd, Ryback screamed "Finish....It!". Picking up the near unconscious Henning into a cradle suplex position, Ryback began stomping around the ring, carrying around the smaller competitor with ease. He then completed the move, turning it into a running horizontal muscle buster, the move called "Shell Shocked". It was academic from there, as Ryback covered Henning for the easy 1,2,3.
Match time 6:20
J.R.: "My gosh... was that impressive or what?"! Lawler: "Like I said before the match, I didn't envy Cris Henning and I certainly don't now! This Ryback is one of the most powerful superstars we've ever seen here in the TWF"! "FEED ME MORE" PLAYED AGAIN AS THE SHOT CUT BACKSTAGE. BACKSTAGE... IN THE BACK, COURTNEY TAYLOR IS STANDING BY WITH AXL IRVIN, WHO IS TAPING HIS WRISTS. Courtney Taylor: "Axl, you will face Brock Lesnar tonight, a man who you teamed with at Deadly Games. Can you shed a little light as to why you walked out on The Empire at Deadly Games?" Axl Irvin: "The Empire? What's The Empire? Didn't they start this show off by beating the heck out of each other? Look, I don't take orders from anyone and I'm nobody's whipping boy. Lesnar, you may be big and bad, but I'm still gonna kick your ass tonight". THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING AFTER AXL CUTS THE INTERVIEW SHORT. "JUST DON'T CARE ANYMORE" COMES ON AND WADE BARRETT MAKES HIS WAY OUT, LOOKING READY FOR ACTION. J.R.: "We're keeping the action in the ring tonight and what about the news we just heard? Axl Irvin to face Brock Lesnar tonight and Lesnar is sure to be angry, even if Axl turned his back on him four months ago". Lawler: "Or Lesnar may not even care, J.R.. Remember, he survived in that Deadly Games match anyway". "WORTH DYING FOR" BY RISE AGAINST COMES ON AND STRIFE IS GIVEN A HUGE RESPONSE AS HE COMES OUT. J.R.: "And speaking of Lesnar, this man here still likely wants a shot at him. There's gotta be unfinished business between those two powerhouses". Lawler: "Strife has got a battle on his hands with the former bare knuckle fighter Wade Barrett here tonight though". Strife vs. Wade Barrett Both men lock up, with Barrett taking the early advantage. He sends Strife to the corner, but he is met with a quick reversal and Strife connects with some right hands to the body. Barrett manages to take Strife down with a drop toe hold, and then turns that into a single leg crab. However, Strife is quick to reach the ropes for the break. Barrett sends Strife into the ropes, but an attempt at a clothesline is met with a reversal into a catatonic. Strife goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. He continues the assault with a chokeslam, but Barrett is able to kick out again. Strife goes to lift Barrett to his feet, but he is met with a low blow behind the official's back. Barrett goes in for the kill and lifts Strife up for the "Waste Land", but Strife is able to slip off Barrett's back and counter with the "Wrong Destination" to pick up the win. Match Time: 4:03 J.R.: "Wow, what a change that was! It looked like Barrett had a win on his hands but Strife came up with an excellent reversal"! Lawler: "It looked like Barrett just couldn't negotiate that maneuver with the massive Strife on his shoulders! A big win for the Locomotive"! STRIFE STAYED IN THE RING, SOAKING UP THE VICTORY AS THE SHOW WENT TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK...... RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE..... TYSON KIDD IS IN THE RING GETTING LOOSE WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS. "FLY FROM THE INSIDE" BY SHINEDOWN COMES ON, BRINGING OUT JASON OLIVER TO A CHORUS OF BOOS. J.R.: "Back on Rampage and ready for more action, how 'bout this battle of Canada, King"? Lawler: "This should be a very good match, J.R., and I can tell you that Jason Oliver was extremely ready for this night. I heard he didn't handle the layoff well and couldn't wait to get back in the ring". J.R.: "Like him or not, wrestling is in Oliver's blood and I can respect his will to compete and you know he'd like to get back in line for that World title, too". Tyson Kidd vs. Jason Oliver From the sound of the opening bell, Tyson Kidd proved to be the aggressor. The undersized Canadian took it to Oliver, pummeling with a handful of straight rights before backing him into the turnbuckle and connecting with a corner dropkick. Oliver would drop to the mat, but Kidd could only get a two-count. Kidd proceeded to bring Oliver up into a grapple, but the former TWF champion countered with a jawbreaker. Within moments, Oliver had Kidd in an arm bar, thus turning it into a shoulder-shattering Russian legsweep. Oliver turned into a cover, but only garnered a count of two. He showed no hesitation in flipping Kidd onto his back and catching him into a Dragon Lock. Kidd would begin to fight his way up, but Oliver showed a veteran's poise by relinquishing the hold and cracking down with a stomp to the back of the head. Kidd appeared to be out cold, which led to Oliver bringing him up for a Reigns of Destiny. Just as Oliver went for the maneuver, however, Kidd came about his wits and pushed his opponent away. Oliver clocked heads with the referee and brought the crowd to their feet. Just as Kidd moved in for the kill, however, Oliver clocked him with a kick between the legs and slammed him to the mat with the Claymore. For good measure, Oliver brought Kidd to his feet and nailed the "Reigns of Destiny". After two finishing maneuvers, Oliver dragged the referee over for a slow 1...2...3.
Match Time: 6:32
J.R.: "What a successful outing for Jason Oliver. You could tell he wanted this one, King". Lawler: "Tyson Kidd gave him some trouble though and definitely provided the chance for an upset, but you're right, Jason Oliver looks as good as we remember."
PARKING AREA........ CAMERAS SHOW A STRETCH BLACK LIMOSINE PULL UP AND OUT STEPS THE TWF WORLD CHAMPION, DOLPH ZIGGLER. SEEING THIS ON THE TWF TRON, THE CROWD INSIDE BOOS AS ZIGGLER THROWS THE BELT OVER HIS SHOULDER AND ENTERS THE AMERICAN AIRLINES ARENA WHERE HE IS GREETED BY TWO LIFE-SIZE CARDBOARD STANDUPS OF MIAMI HEAT PLAYERS LEBRON JAMES AND DWAYNE WADE. ZIGGLER LOOKS AT EACH PLAYER AND JUST GIVES A "PSSHH" BEFORE WALKING ON.
"JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES" HITS AS THE SHOT IS RETURNED TO THE RING. CHRISTIAN COMES OUT TO A GOOD REACTION.
J.R.: "Dolph Ziggler is here in Miami and from what we understand, he will address this crowd here tonight". Lawler: "Even though it was several months ago, J.R., I still remember him cashing in the WrestleMania Jackpot briefcase at the end of Deadly Games!"> J.R.: "Well you can bet that Matt Cruz hasn't forgotten about that either and Cruz is here tonight, I saw him earlier". Lawler: "Ya try to sell him a jar of barbeque sauce did ya"? J.R.: "Uh no, we actually talked a little Texas-Oklahoma wrestling but he wasn't in the best mood I've ever seen him in, I can tell ya that". "BLACK" BY SEVENDUST COMES ON AND SEBASTIAN CAIN IS OUT TO A WILDLY POSITIVE REACTION. Lawler: "Cruz was taken to the limit by this man at Deadly Games and speaking of different frames of mind, Sebastian Cain was not the guy I remember tonight before the show". J.R.: "Well he's frustrated. He knows how close he came to being at the top of the mountain and now he wants to climb back up. He's got a good test in Christian here tonight". Christian vs. Sebastian Cain Neither man wasted any time once the bell rang, as they met in the center of the ring, and tied up. After a brief struggle, Cain was able
to wrestle Christian into a side headlock. After holding him for a
moment, he whipped him into the corner, quickly following up with a
running clothesline. Christian was quick to his feet, however, and as
Cain approached, Christian nailed him with a swift kick to the
midsection. Cain stumbled back a few steps, but was unable to regain
his composure before Christian nailed him with a stiff European
uppercut. As Christian went to lock up with Cain, Cain managed to land
a quick jawbreaker, sending Christian reeling, and giving Cain a moment
to recover. As Cain made his way back over, Christian threw a quick
punch, but Cain was ready. He blocked the punch, then shifted to
Christian's side, quickly locking him into an abdominal stretch. Cain
was able to keep the hold locked in for a few seconds before Christian
managed to get himself just free enough to hip toss Cain off of him.
The damage appeared to be done, however, as instead of capitalizing on
the reversal, Christian took a moment to tend to his ribs. Just as Cain
got back to his feet, Christian attempted to catch him off guard,
running at him with a loaded clothesline. Cain wouldn't be caught
unaware, however, as he simply ducked the clothesline. Just as
Christian turned around, Cain took him down with a quick snapmare, then
nailed him with a kick to the back for good measure. Cain then went to
pick Christian up, but Christian shoved him away. Cain then tried
charging in himself, but was met with an inverted atomic drop for his
troubles. Christian took a moment to nurse his ribs before laying
into Cain, nailing him with shot after shot. He grabbed Cain's arm and
twisted it into a nice armlock before leveling Cain with another big
European uppercut. As Cain turned around, Christian planted him with a
quick neckbreaker. Christian was gaining a bit of steam now, and as
Cain began to stand up, Christian ran up, and sent him right back down
with a running bulldog. He then brought Cain to his feet, and caught
him in a very tight rollup. Just as the ref got to a 2 count, however,
Cain reversed it into a rollup of his own, which got a 2 count before
Christian reversed into yet another pining attempt. During the count,
however, Christian grabbed a handful of tights! The ref never saw it,
however, and counted to 3. Christian immediately rolled out of the
ring, as Cain tried explaining to the ref what happened.
Match time 4:26
J.R.: "He had the tights... that sure isn't like Christian at all!" Lawler: "It was a back and forth pinfall attempt and Christian did what he thought he had to do... win at all costs". J.R.: "Well I don't like it, I don't like it at all". Lawler: "I'm sure Sebastian Cain doesn't either. He's got himself a bit of a losing streak to dig out of.". CHRISTIAN WALKS UP THE RAMP AND IS RECEIVING SOME BOOS FOR HIS ACTIONS AS CAIN SLAPS THE ROPES IN DISGUST BEFORE THE SHOW GOES TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE..... WHEN RAMPAGE RETURNS, A DIVAS TAG TEAM MATCH HAS BEGUN. Monica and Gina Carano vs. Kayla Karter and Kharma Carano and Kharma start the match and Carano does a go behind and hits a chop block to the left knee then she does three buzz saw kicks to the chest but when she goes for one to the head, Kharma ducks and pops to her feet and nails Carano with a clothesline. Kharma quickly hits the ropes and goes for a splash but Carano moves and then nails a kick to the head and goes for the pin but only gets a two count. Kharma quickly hits Carano in the stomach with a knee lift and applies a side headlock and nails her with a back elbow then grabs her by the left arm and hits a clothesline. Kharma then pulls her back up by the left arm and clotheslines her again only this time she drops a leg across her chest and neck area and goes for the pin but only gets a two count. Kharma pulls her up by her hair but Carano hits her with a knee lift and manages to get her into the corner and tag Monica who with the aid of Carano, comes off the top with a high cross body which brings in Kayla to break up a pin fall at two and that distraction allows Kharma to drop Monica to the mat with a flapjack then. Kharma makes the tag to Kayla who pulls monica up and boots her in the stomach and takes her down with a swinging neck breaker and goes for the pin but only gets a two count. Kayla makes like she is going to slap Monica but she ducks the swing which spins Kayla around and gives Monica the chance to drop her by pulling her to the mat by the back of her head. That gives her the chance to tag Carano who once again goes for and hits a kick to the leg to take Kayla's legs out from under her. She then then connects with a quick kick to the head and she goes for the pin but it is broken up by Kharma who blocks a Carano head kick and hits her with the spinning back fist that sends her backwards, allowing Monica to get the blind tag as she falls outside the ring. Monica quickly runs and dropkicks Kharma to the floor as she gets out of the ring but unfortunately for Monica, she forgot about Kayla, who blasts her with the "Kay Kick" as she turned around and covered her for the pin. Match Time: 8:02 BACKSTAGE AREA.... IN THE BACK, AN IRATE SEBASTIAN CAIN IS TEARING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA IN A FIT OF RAGE. AFTER FLIPPING OVER A TABLE FULL OF DRINKS, TRISH STRATUS COMES UP. Trish Stratus: "Sebastian.... what the hell?!" Sebastian Cain: "Where's Wakeman?!" Trish: "He's in no mood to talk right now, what do you need?" Sebastian Cain: "Oh and I am? You just tell him that I want something to change around here. I waited for four months to get back in that ring and for what... so some lousy referee can't see that my opponent cheats to win?!" Trish: "I'll... I'll talk to him, just please calm down." CAIN, STILL HEATED, WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT IS SENT BACK TO THE RING.
"Feel So Numb" by Rob Zombie begins to play, as out comes a very
different looking Richard Ramsley. His once long, unruly hair has been cut
down to a trim, sleek looking short style. However, the biggest
difference is in his physique. Previously, Ramsley had very lean
muscle. However, it's obvious that during the TWF's hiatus, he has
been working out. He now has a defined 6 pack, and overall has become
quite built. The crowd is almost silent as they see this new Ramsley,
but they quickly regain themselves and greet him with a chorus of boos
and jeers. Ramsley is all smiles, however, and you can almost see him
soaking up the crowd's displeasure. Underneath his dark, stylish
sunglasses, he scans the crowd, the long, black coat he wears flowing
behind him. Around his waist, the King of Cable Championship. It's
obvious that the title is well taken care of, and it looks as though it
was very recently polished to a shine. Ramsley stops at the bottom of
the ramp, sticks his waist forward, and draws his hands to the belt,
showing the title off to the camera. He laughs before jumping onto the
apron, and getting into the ring. The music dies down as Ramsley
motions for a mic.
Richard Ramsley: "Oh man...never thought I'd say it, but...I missed all you
bastards!
The crowd begins to boo even louder, obviously attempting to drown
Ramsley out. Ramsley, however, just laughs, and raises his voice.
Ramsley: Oh, come on now, come on, you've missed me too! Be honest
with yourselves, you LOVE to hate me! Hell, you buy tickets
just so you can, hopefully, see me get my ass kicked; you tune in every
week in the hopes of seeing someone shut me up! And you guys know it!
But you guys and me? Our little "love/hate" relationship? That's not
why I'm out here, no. I'm out here to answer a question that I've been
hearing from EVERYONE in the back ever since I pulled up to the arena
tonight. And that question is... "What happened to you?"
Ramsley pauses to show himself off. He spreads his arms out, and turns
in a circle.
Ramsley: What happened is...I made a little promise to myself.
See...regardless of how I did it, regardless of if you, or anyone else
wants to admit it, I am the King of Cable. For the first time in my
career...I'm a champion. And for the first time in a long time, this
title has an owner it can be proud of. See, me and this belt, we had a
lot of alone time during this little break. We talked a lot. And one
thing we both agree on, is....I deserve this. it deserves this.
And neither one of us wants this to end, not for a loooooong time. So
I'm doing everything I can to make sure it doesn't. So, I hit the gym.
Cleaned myself up. Heh...a champion's gotta have class, right? And
boy, did I clean up...seriously, look at me!
Ramsley gives a twisted grin, showing himself off once again as the
crowd begins to chant "You're insane."
Ramsley: Insane? No...not insane...perfect.
Ramsley's previously jovial attitude immediately disappears, and the
serious scowl that Ramsley typically wears is back.
Ramsley: I. Am. Perfect. I have the intelligence. I have the
wisdom. I have the aggression...and now? Now, I have the strength. I
have everything. This belt? This title? This is MINE. I WILL NOT
lose it. My reign in this company is just beginning. And the King of
Cable Championship? It's a brilliant start. You know...everyone's
talking about New Year's resolutions. You want to know my New Year's
resolution? This belt ain't leaving my waist. And on the off chance
that it does? God have mercy on the person who takes it from me.
Ramsley drops his mic and "Feel So Numb" begins to play as Ramsley
leaves the ring, only to join J.R. and The King at the broadcast table.
JR: "Well, folks, it looks like we're going to be joined for this match
by none other than the King of Cable himself, Richard Ramsley."
Lawler:
And Richard, I have to say, those were some big words we heard
from you earlier tonight".
Ramsley: "What can I say, King, I have a flair for the dramatic. Way I
see it, first show back? I gotta make a big impression. But don't get
me wrong, I meant what I said; this title is NOT leaving my waist."
JR: "Well, Richard, some might say you don't deserve that title to
begin with, what with the... err, circumstances behind you winning it."
Ramsley: "And by some, you mean you, right, JR?"
JR: "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about."
Ramsley: "Sure you don't. And unless you want to be carted to the next
Sooners game in a body cast, you'll keep the opinions of "some" out of
your mouth for the rest of the time I'm here."
Lawler: Oh, man...hopefully, this match is over with before I end up
having to do commentary solo for the rest of the night...
"One of a Kind" hits, as RVD makes his way to the ring.
JR: "Now here's a guy you have a little bit of history with."
Ramsley: "Yeah, if you consider me beating the ever loving crap out of
him history."
Lawler: "Well, Richard, I don't want to poke a hornets nest, but
didn't RVD beat you when you met up with him?"
Ramsley: "He won the match, yeah, but who was left standing when the
dust settled? Me. Besides, RVD can't hold a candle to me now. If he
wins, and he gets into that ring with me, he's in for a worse beating
than the last time."
"Flight" by Oleander comes on, as AJ Hart heads out to the ring.
JR: "Now here's a young man who's got a bright future here in the TWF."
Ramsley: "You trying to say I don't, JR? You make a habit of stepping
on the toes of guys who could easily break you in half?"
Lawler: "JR, stop...
JR: "No, King, hold on. I never said you weren't doing well for
yourself, Ramsley. Obviously, you're not doing too bad, seeing as you
have that title you like to brag about. Sure, some could point out
that it took you a few years to win your first title. That you've only
won one Pay-Per-View match in your career. But I never did"!
THERE IS A BRIEF SILENCE.
Ramsley: ...You know, I got a contractual obligation to keep my hands
off of anyone in this company that isn't a contracted wrestler...how
'bout it, JR? We'll go talk to Wakeman right now, write you up a
contract. I'll give you a damn title shot, how 'bout that, you fat
Okie bastard?"
JR: "I'm perfectly fine behind a commentator's table.
Ramsley: That's what I thought.
Drew McIntyre's theme starts to play, and he makes his way out from the
back.
Lawler: "Well, here we have another guy who is looking to make a name for
himself."
JR: "Yeah, and you have to believe that a win here tonight would do
wonders for McIntyre's career."
Ramsley: "You know, I don't have much of a problem with McIntyre. But
I'll tell you this much, he won't make a name at my expense."
Lawler: "If I can ask, which of the guys scheduled for this match are
you most concerned about?"
Ramsley: "None of them. There's not a single person in this match that
I can't beat easily."
Finally, "I Will Be Heard" by Hatebreed begins as Eddie St. James
emerges from the back.
Ramsley: You know what? I've changed my mind. I'm most concerned
about this guy."
Lawler: "Oh, really? Why's that?"
Ramsley: "Because I don't want to have to lower myself to his level and
fight him. Seriously, what has this guy done? He shacked up with some
worm eating freak, and climbed to the top of a division that practically SCREAMS "I can't do anything on my own."
JR: "Oh, come on! You can't be serious? Love 'em or hate 'em, the man
was one half of the Tag Team champions for two years! You mean to tell
me you think you're better than him?"
Ramsley: You're damn right I'm serious! The guy's a joke! Him and
Boogeyman won half those matches against scrubs and the other half
probably just let them win out of fear of getting worms shoved down
their throats!"
JR: "Now that's a load of...
Lawler: "Calm down, JR, the match is about to start!"
FATAL 4 WAY/NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR KING OF CABLE TITLE Rob Van Dam vs. AJ Hart vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Eddie Saint James
The bell rang and all 4 competitors eyed each other, each contemplating
who to strike . Suddenly, McIntyre bolted forward, leveling St. James
with a stiff clothesline. As McIntyre began to wail on St. James, Hart
and RVD tied up. RVD quickly gained the upperhand in the exchange, and
blasted Hart with a left elbow. From there, he began to wallop Hart's
legs with swift, hard kicks. Meanwhile, the scuffle between Drew Mac
and St. James had wound up with both men on their feet. After a brief
tie up, St. James dropped McIntyre with a nice, quick swinging
neckbreaker. St. James wasted no time, and slapped McIntyre right
across the face as he tried to get up! As McIntyre sat on his hands
and knees, St. James put him in a nicely executed camel clutch. Almost
immediately upon doing so, however, both RVD and Hart were there to
break it up. With a running start, RVD blasted the crouching St. James
with a wicked wheelkick, while Hart picked up where St. James left off,
gaining a full mount on McIntyre, and decking him with vicious rights
and lefts. RVD, back on his feet, proceeded to pelt St. James with some
nasty soccer kicks into his ribs, at one point nearly lifting him off
the canvas. We saw our first bit of teamwork of the match, as Hart
pulled St. James up, holding him in an abdominal stretch type hold as
RVD landed several vicious kicks right into St. James' ribs. Both men
left McIntyre alone for too long, however, as seemingly from out of
nowhere, he leveled Hart with an axe handle across the back. Hart turned
around, and charged with a clothesline, only to see it ducked. Hart
used the ropes to stop his momentum, but as soon as he turned around,
Drew Mac nailed him with a clothesline of his own, sending both men out
of the ring. Meanwhile, St. James had managed to regain the upperhand,
now nailing RVD with some vicious shots of his own in the corner.
Grabbing RVD by the arm, he attempted to whip him into the opposite
corner, but RVD used the momentum to reverse, and sent St. James into
the corner himself. RVD quickly tried one of his trademark moves, the
corner shoulder blocks. On the third one, however, St. James responded
with a beautiful counter, jumping over RVD, and getting him in a tight
rollup. After a 2 count, however, RVD kicked out. Meanwhile, outside
of the ring, the fight had turned nasty. McIntyre had managed to whip
Hart into the corner ringpost, and was viciously smashing his arm into
it. Hart was screaming in pain, and finally, after about 8 times
total, McIntyre pulled him away. He quickly smacked Hart on the back
of the head before tossing him into the barricade. He then tried to
smash Hart's face in with a powerful front kick, but Hart somehow
managed to catch his foot. Drew shook his head and waved his hands as
if trying to say "wait," but Hart nailed him with a vicious Enzuigiri.
As both men lay by the barricade, the action was heating up inside the
ring. St. James had managed to get RVD back in the corner, and was
standing on the second rope, pounding RVD with right hook after right
hook. Finally, however, RVD was able to block a shot. Instead of
shoving St. James off, however, he merely slipped under him, and jumped
back to his feet. St. James quickly attempted an axehandle smash off
the second rope, but RVD caught him with an absolutely nasty roundhouse
kick to the head as he came down. Looking around him, RVD hit the
ropes, and landed a picture perfect Rolling Thunder on St. James! The
crowd was going wild as RVD began to position St. James. Wasting no
time, he hopped onto the top rope, and as he pointed to himself, the
entire arena chanted "RVD." Leaping to a gravity defying height, RVD
came down hard on St. James with a beautiful 5-Star Frog Splash,
bouncing a solid 4 feet away from him. RVD spent a moment holding his
ribs, before slowing getting to his feet. However, just as he was
about to get the cover, McIntyre slid back into the ring! Just as RVD
turned around, he was blasted with a massive boot from Drew Mac!
McIntyre quickly rolled RVD under the bottom rope and onto the floor
before hooking the leg of St. James. The crowd's boos were almost
defining as the referee made the easy 3 count.
Time: 12:27
J.R.: "Look at that... Drew McIntyre has stolen this thing"! Lawler: "It's all fair in the rules of a fatal four way, J.R., and now, Drew McIntyre is the number one contender for the King of Cable title"! Richard Ramsley: "That he is... and now, if the two of you will excuse me.... WITH THAT, RAMSLEY REMOVES HIS HEADSET AND GRABS A STEEL CHAIR. HE TARGETS AJ HART FIRST, SMACKING HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIR. AFTER BRINGING IT INTO THE RING, HE USES IT ON RVD AND THE SAINT, SMASHING BOTH MEN ACROSS THE BACK. DREW McINTYRE IS LAUGHING AND APPLAUDING THE ATTACK WHEN SUDDENTLY, RAMSLEY TURNS THE CHAIR AND McINTYRE, HITTING HIM RIGHT OVER THE HEAD AND KNOCKING HIM OUT COLD. Lawler: "Oh wow what a shot! They may have heard that all the way over in Pensacola"! "FEEL SO NUMB" CAME ON AGAIN AS RAMSLEY JUST DROPPED THE CHAIR NEXT TO McINTYRE AND LEFT THE RING. J.R.: "Before this match started, Ramsley claimed he had no issues with Drew McIntyre. I guess he does now". COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE.... "I'M HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD" COMES ON AND A MIXED RESPONSE ENSUES, MOSTLY BOOS. DOLPH ZIGGLER COMES OUT WITH THE TWF WORLD TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER AND HEADS TO THE RING. J.R.: "For those of you who weren't able to see our last event, Deadly Games, Dolph Ziggler used the WrestleMania Jackpot briefcase that he won at WrestleMania to snatch the TWF World title in an instant." Lawler: "Oh it was a thing of beauty, J.R.. Ziggler picked the perfect moment to become champion and here he is"! Dolph Ziggler: "Ladies and gentlemen, Miami, Florida... feast your eyes on the new TWF World champion. THE CROWD RESPONDS WITH BOOS Yeah, boo me, but cheer the guy who held this title before. Cheer a guy whose claim to fame is that he is an NCAA national champion in wrestling. That may be so, but he doesn't hold the career record for pins at his school... like I do. So yeah, cheer him and boo me. You were booing me the second I cashed this in and ya know what? I loved it. I loved it for the fact... JUST THEN, KOFI KINGSTON's MUSIC COMES ON AND HE COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. J.R.: "Here we go... now we're talkin'! Kofi Kingston has joined us here tonight in Miami"! KINGSTON HEADS TO THE RING, MUCH TO ZIGGLER's CHAGRIN, AND GETS A MICROPHONE OF HIS OWN. Kofi Kingston: "Dolph, before you get out here and start touting your success, how 'bout we just call a spade a spade? If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even have that title". Dolph Ziggler: "Would you like me to thank you? Or should we realize that I deserve just as much credit for holding onto that briefcase until the perfect moment came up?" Kofi Kingston: "You view it however you want to, Dolph, I have my own things to get ready for. On the very next edition of TWF PrimeTime, I will challenge M.X. Ogden for the Intercontinental title as a result of me winning Deadly Games". THE CROWD CHEERS AT THIS REVELATION Dolph Ziggler: "Well that's great, Kofi, maybe you'll get a medal for all your good deeds too. Now if you don't mind, I'd kinda like to keep..... AT THAT MOMENT, "THE NEXT EPISODE" BY DR. DRE COMES ON AND MATT CRUZ EMERGES TO A MASSIVE POP. J.R.: "And now we've got more company... here comes the former champion". Lawler: "Oh boy, J.R., Deadly Games ended with these three men in the ring and it looks like we're about to see it continue here tonight." Matt Cruz: "Ziggler... I'll give you props... you cashed in at the right time. My issue is with you... CRUZ POINTS A FINGER RIGHT AT KINGSTON. I don't know if you were so thrilled that you won Deadly Games and that led you to do what you did... but in four months, the fact that you haven't even reached out to explain yourself tells me all I need to know. Kofi, you and I used to get along better than just about anyone and then what, you kick my head off because you didn't like something I did? Well that's all in the past now, but it doesn't stop me from looking forward. I know you've got Ogden coming up on PrimeTime but I'm just gonna lay it down right now the same way you did four months ago... I want you in a match on the next Rampage." J.R.: "Wow... Kofi Kingston: "You want me in a match, Matt? OK, that's cool... you got it." Lawler: "The match is on!" KINGSTON's MUSIC PLAYS AS CRUZ HEADS TO THE BACK, GETTING WHAT HE CAME OUT FOR. IN THE RING, KINGSTON EXCHANGES A STARE WITH ZIGGLER BEFORE LEAVING. J.R.: "Once friends, now foes... Matt Cruz and Kofi Kingston know that they are in a very competitive, what-have-you-done-for-me-lately business... should be a helluva match". Lawler: "Well in addition to that match between Kingston and M.X. Ogden, we understand that Travis Wakeman will address the TWF universe live on PrimeTime". The feed cuts back to Troy Gafgen. He is standing, arms folded with his back to the wall.
Troy Gafgen: "You all want me to talk, like this hasn't been done a million times. Like countless superstars before you, I stand here with a camera shoved in my face. Unlike many, who will claim to be better than everyone else, or who will swear up and down that they will be the next world champion... I don't care. You see, I know how good I am. I know how deserving I am for a run with a strap... but I'm not going to sit here and bitch about. No, you see I know that here in the TWF there is a mold... that all champions need to "fit" into. I'm not like those guys. I don't play nice and I don't kiss any ass. I'm Troy Gafgen... and I'm going to break the same old cycle... the worn out system that TWF is comfortable with. Don't believe me? Just watch me... "KILL US ALL" BY TWISTA COMES ON AND AXL IRVIN COMES OUT FOR ACTION. J.R.: "We understand that Troy Gafgen will see action on the next Rampage and if my glasses are working properly, he looks a little different". Lawler: "Well you saw the transformation Richard Ramsley went through... who knows what some of these guys were doing in their time away". J.R.: "I doubt Axl Irvin was thinking about having to face Brock Lesnar right out of chute when the TWF came back but that's the situation he faces tonight". BROCK LESNAR's MUSIC HITS AND BOOS POUR ALL OVER THE ARENA AS HE COMES OUT WITH MMA STYLE TRUNKS ON. THEY HAVE A "JACK LINKS" LOGO ON THE BACK OF THEM, ONE OF HIS SPONSORS. Lawler: "And here comes the pain, J.R.." J.R.: "It's hard to say where The Empire stands after the way we saw this broadcast open, but it's easy to surmise that they weren't thrilled with Axl Irvin's betrayal at Deadly Games." Lawler: "And as is the way of the world... now he has to pay for those actions." Axl Irvin vs. Brock Lesnar As the bell sounded, Lesnar stood in the corner smirking at Axl, but he was surprised when Axl charged at him, taking him into the corner and rocking him with several shots to the body. Lesnar came out with a fierce clothesline but Axl ducked it and then hit the ropes, landing a flying forearm that knocked Brock to one knee. After another running start, Axl put Lesnar down with a running kick to the side of the head. The crowd was ecstatic, in disbelief over what they were seeing. Axl waited for Lesnar to get up and when he did, he jumped on his back, trying to lock in a sleeperhold. Lesnar was able to reach behind and grab Axl, flinging him over his shoulders. In doing so, he threw Irvin right into the ring ropes, an awkward landing. After a big knee to the sternum, Lesnar trapped Axl's arm and took him down with a kimura. Axl was able to get his feet to the ropes to break the hold but his arm was still in a lot of pain. He tried to shake it off, but Brock picked him up and dropped him across his knee with a back breaker before repeating the move. He then shot Axl into the corner and ran in but Axl was waiting with a foot to the face. Brock tried to shake it off as Axl hoisted himself to the top turnbuckle. But before he could do anything, Brock knocked his legs out from under him. He then got up on the top turnbuckle and positioned Axl for a superplex. But instead of going into the ring with it, Lesnar just dumped Axl to the floor! The crowd, the referee, everyone in attendance was in shock. Lesnar just stood on the top rope, looking down at a broken Axl Irvin. Referee Jimmy Korderis began to count and it was clear Axl wouldn't recover in time. A 10 count was registered, giving Lesnar the win. Match Time: 5:43 Lawler: "We might need paramedics out here... there could be some internal injuries after that." J.R.: "King I have done this for many, many years and I have never... oh God now what?" WITH THE MATCH ALREADY OVER, LESNAR WENT OUTSIDE THE RING AND GOT AXL UP, ROLLING HIM BACK IN. AS THE CROWD BOOED LOUDLY, HE PICKED IRVIN UP AND DELIVERED A HUGE "F-5". J.R.: "For God sake the match is over! Someone get out here... THE CROWD BEGAN TO CHEER AS CHRIS TIRPAK AROSE FROM THE CROWD, CARRYING HIS KENDO STICK. HE CAME INTO THE RING FROM BEHIND BROCK, WHO HAD NO IDEA HE WAS THERE. LESNAR TURNED AROUND AND TIRPAK CRACKED HIM WITH THE STICK, THEN AGAIN. AS BROCK STAGGERED ABOUT THE RING, TIRPAK SMACKED HIM A THIRD TIME, KNOCKING THE FORMER TWF WORLD CHAMPION THROUGH THE RING ROPES AND TO THE FLOOR. THE STICK WAS BROKEN AND LESNAR HAD A LACERATED FOREHEAD TO SHOW FOR IT. THE CROWD WENT WILD AS "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS" PLAYED. TIRPAK HELPED AXL, HIS LONG TIME RIVAL, TO HIS FEET. Lawler: "Can you believe this, J.R.?" J.R.: "I can't say that I saw this coming... Chris Tirpak coming to the aid of his mortal enemy, Axl Irvin." Lawler: "The TWF is back, J.R, the TWF is back in a big way." OFF AIR....
