DARK MATCHES mFw match: In a battle of behemoths, the seven foot Australian Nathan Jones defeated Mark Henry after delivering a chokeslam to the near 400 pounder. With Tammy Lynn Sytch at ringside, Christian Cole defeated 18 year old phenom Rene Dupree to become the new TV champion. RAW GOES LIVE AS RAW COMES ON THE AIR, NAILS ENTERS HIS DRESSING ROOM AND THE PHRASE "BEWARE THE REIGN OF DARKNESS" IS SPRAYPAINTED ACROSS THE WALL IN BLACK. NAILS SLAMS THE DOOR AGAINST THE WALL AND THROWS A FOLDING CHAIR ACROSS THE ROOM AS RAW's MONTAGE VIDEO POPS UP ACCOMPANIED BY "ACROSS THE NATION". THE CROWD COMES INTO VIEW INSIDE THE ARENA AND THEY ARE ALMOST AS LOUD AS THE OPENING FIREWORKS. Jim Ross: "Welcome everyone to TWF RAW and I can't ever remember a first time crowd being as riled up as the one in Portland, Maine tonight King, wow"! Jerry Lawler: "Well can you blame them J.R.? We have a huge show in store"! A PROMO FEATURING THE RAW LOGO POPS UP WITH SCOTT STEINER AND ONE SIDE AND STRIFE ON THE OTHER. J.R.: "Oh yeah we do! The locomotive Strife is scheduled to take on the big bad booty daddy and not only that, Shelton Benjamin of Civil Rights gets his shot at the deadman tonight"! ANOTHER PROMO POPS UP FOR THAT. Lawler: "Oh yeah J.R., and Teddy Long and the rest of the group has Shelton ready to go and pull off the upset"! "LOST MY MIND" BY TATU HITS AS VICTORIA COMES OUT TO A LOT OF HEAT. J.R.: "Well we can now confirm that The Undertaker will meet Ron Simmons, the centerpiece of that group at War in the Winter for the World title but right now, we're gonna find out who will become the number one contender for the Women's strap"! "IT JUST FEELS RIGHT" HITS AS LITA COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP. Lawler: "Oh yeah J.R., I've been waitin' for this one". J.R.: "Well so has Lita, I can promise you that, ever since Victoria cost Jordan Rockwell the TWF Title at Doomsday". Lawler: "Well Lita better be well prepared cause Victoria wants this just as bad as she does"! #1 contender for TWF Women's Title Victoria vs. Lita The fiesty Victoria attacked Lita before the bell rang and after throwing her down with a hair whip, she slapped her right across the face. The bigger and stronger Victoria dictated the pace but the gritty Lita continued to fight back into it with any kind of offense she could muster. But after a swinging neckbreaker, Victoria delivered her flip over the rope legdrop and got a 1....2...., but Lita got a shoulder off the mat. Victoria was furious and complained to referee Mike Sparks about the speed of his count. She then tried to set Lita up in the "Widow's Peak" but Lita escaped and scored with a nice ddt. The crowd then came to their feet as Lita went to the top rope and hit her moonsault to get the 1...2....3. Match Time: 5:44 J.R.: "Alright! Lita has done it"! Lawler: "What do you mean alright J.R."? J.R.: "I'm glad to see it. This young lady deserves the chance she will now get at the Women's title". VICTORIA IS SHOWN SEETHING IN THE RING AS THE SCENE SHIFTS BACKSTAGE. PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL... STEPHANIE's OFFICE.... MR. PERFECT AND CHRISTOPHER NOWINSKI ENTER. Stephanie: "Can I help you two"? Christopher Nowinski: "Yes, as a matter of fact you can. We're here to put in for a tag team title shot, a shot we have earned". Mr. Perfect: "Last week right here on RAW, we beat those two kids Taylor and Pyromania, a team that was supposed to be getting a title shot". Stephanie: "Listen guys, you do have a legitimate gripe. I'm very busy tonight but I'll see what I can come up with". COMMERCIAL BREAK.... RETURN FROM COMMERCIAL... BACKSTAGE.... "CRAZY STICK" MIKE MARCELLUS IS BACKSTAGE AND COMES ACROSS TWF NEWCOMER KEVIN SLEDGE. THE TWO SHAKE HANDS. Mike Marcellus: "Hey Hammer, what's up"? Kevin Sledge: "Oh you know, I gotta have a talk with my cousin". Marcellus: "Yeah, I warned Teddy Long about you". Sledge: "I just can't believe what they're out here talkin' about. I just hope Shelton will listen to me". Marcellus: "Alright man, nice seeing you again. Hope to see ya around". Sledge: "Piece Mike". STEPHANIE's OFFICE THERE IS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR. Stephanie: "Oh now what? Come in". TRIPLE H ENTERS. Stephanie: "What do you want"? Triple H: "It's not what I want Steph, it's what I came here to tell you. You better reshuffle your pay-per-view card because I'm excercising my rematch for the World title..... tonight"! TRIPLE H WALKS OUT OF THE OFFICE AS STEPHANIE IS OBVIOUSLY AGITATED. BACK AT RINGSIDE, THE CIVIL RIGHTS' LOGO IS SHOWN AND THEIR THEME HITS AS TEDDY LONG LEADS MALICE OUT. J.R.: "Triple H vs. Ron Simmons... tonight"? Lawler: "You heard that right J.R., that match will happen tonight! Boy that'd really shake things up"! A-TRAIN's NEW THEME HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS. J.R.: "Well Triple H sure used that strategically but what a clash of titans we've got here. Last week, A-Train pinned Malice in a tag match and Teddy Long has asked for this match tonight". Lawler: "And Malice looks ready to avenge that defeat J.R.". J.R.: "Well it's gonna take quite an effort to derail this A-Train". Malice w/Teddy Long vs. A-Train The bell sounded and A-Train went for a shoulder block takedown but Malice didn't budge. He tried to bounce off the ropes again but this time, Long grabbed his foot. Falling right into their trap, A-Train left the ring chasing Long around it but walked right into a humungous big boot from Malice. Long then told the timekeeper to move and Malice chokeslammed A-Train right through the timekeeper's table! A-Train was out as Malice got back in the ring. A-Train had no chance to beat referee Charles Robinson's count and was counted out. Match Time: :47 Lawler: "Oh my gosh, I think that was record time J.R."! J.R.: "This Malice is scary King. The whole group is becoming way more powerful than I ever wanted to see them but look at what this man is capable of". THE CAMERA SHOWS A-TRAIN LAYING ON THE COLLAPSED TABLE. Lawler: "Teddy Long picked a good one in him"! BACKSTAGE STRIFE IS STANDING WITH JOHNATHAN COACHMAN. Johnathan Coachman: "Strife, last week on RAW, you showed some very memorable footage of the days you and Bahamut were not only a dominant team, but best of friends. That all changed last week when Bahamut assaulted..... Strife: "I'm gonna cut you off right there Coach. Ya see, me and Bahamut, we came to the TWF at the same time, as enemies and now it looks like we're gonna be that way for good. Bahamut, you wanna focus on your singles career so bad that you would throw away our partnership? Well after War in the Winter, you'll be lucky if you even have a career". BACK AT RINGSIDE, A NEW THEME SONG BY DMX HITS AS JOHN CENA AND RANDY ORTON COME OUT. J.R.: "Strong comments by Strife and I can't wait for that one King". Lawler: "Well right now, that's all they are is comments because I think Bahamut is and always was the better half of that team". THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND NEMESIS' MUSIC HITS AS HE AND SAM WILDE MAKE THEIR WAY DOWN THE RAMP TO A NICE CHEER. J.R.: "Well speaking of tag teams, we've got two of the teams here on RAW trying to climb the ladder in the division ready to go at it and what a match this should be". Lawler: "Well Cena and Orton are in my view the top team here on RAW and with the tutelege of Triple H and Big Poppa Pump, these two can reach a level of superstardom in no time"! Randy Orton and John Cena vs. Nemesis and Sam Wilde Wilde and Cena started this one with a great series of mat wrestling. The stronger Cena thought he had the advantage but Wilde showed his superior mat technique by outworking him. After a tag was made on each side, Nemesis came in and took over. He clotheslined Orton to the floor and then dropped Cena with a military press slam. After a big legdrop on Cena, Nemesis swatted away a dropkick attempt by Orton and chokeslammed him hard on the mat. Nemesis went for the cover but Cena broke it up before even a 2 count. Nemesis got up and fought Cena off before tagging Wilde back in. All 4 men were in the ring when Orton and Wilde both reversed irish whip attempts and sent the two right into each other. A double dropkick then knocked Nemesis out of the ring. As Orton was being held back by referee Jim Korderas, Cena ducked a clothesline and lowblowed Wilde hard. Orton then turned and hit the "O-Zone" to pick up the victory. Match Time: 8:20 Lawler: "Ahahaha! See what'd I tell ya J.R.? Best team on RAW"! J.R.: "Well they have a long way to go to prove that and I don't think they'll get their with their bargain basement victory approach"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.... RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE.... SHELTON BENJAMIN IS WALKING BACKSTAGE WHEN KEVIN SLEDGE COMES FROM AROUND THE CORNER. Shelton Benjamin: "Hey cuz, what's up"? Kevin Sledge: "Shelton, you know why I'm here, I told you last week on the phone what we needed to talk about. This Civil Rights stuff, it's not you and you know it man. That's not how you believe". Benjamin: "Hey man, Teddy Long has taught me things no one else. He's opened my eyes to some of the things our people put up with". Sledge: "Shelton, it's not about black and white anymore, this is the twenty-first century and Teddy Long is not a role model". Benjamin: "Right now, he's more of a role model than I've ever had". BENJAMIN WALKS AWAY, LEAVING SLEDGE WITH A MAD LOOK ON HIS FACE. "GET OFF THE TRACKS" BY POD HITS AND STRIFE COMES OUT TO A LOUD POP. Lawler: "Who is this guy? If he was a real cousin, he'd see that Shelton Benjamin is in the best shape of his young career and be happy for him". J.R.: "Benjamin takes on the Undertaker later tonight but right now, Strife will go one on one with the genetic freak Scott Steiner and King, we heard Strife's comments earlier. This is a chance for him to build up a ton of momentum heading into that match at War in the Winter". BLARING SIRENS ARE HEARD ALONG WITH "HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME" AND SCOTT STEINER COMES OUT WEARING HIS CHAIN HEADGEAR TO A LOT OF HEAT. Lawler: "It'll never happen J.R.. In fact, it's gonna be a step backward for Strife. There's no way he can beat this man tonight on the show that belongs to he and the game right now"! J.R.: "Well I beg to differ on that one but if you remember right King, Strife defeated Steiner at When World's Collide and I don't think it's far fetched to suggest he can do it again". Strife vs. Scott Steiner The bell sounded and these two met in the center of the ring, trading wild haymakers. The taller Strife was punching downward and Steiner was able to absorb a couple shots and drive the locomotive to the corner. After a few shots to the head, Steiner used a beautiful belly to belly suplex but he missed on a follow up elbow drop. Strife recovered quickly and laid a few shots into the bread basket of Steiner before catching him with a big clothesline. But moments later, after a tilt-a-whirl slam, Strife went for a running boot but he nailed referee Tim White when Steiner got out of the way. That prompted the interjection of Bahamut who came through the crowd and into the ring, hitting an unsuspecting Bahamut with "What Legends are made of". Bahamut walked off to the harsh boos of the crowd as Steiner dropped a cocky elbow across Strife's chest and White got up to count the 3. Match Time: 3:35 J.R.: "Oh for God sakes! Don't you say anything King about what you told me or anything, Steiner does not deserve to win this one, period"! Lawler: "But he did and I doubt he's gonna give it back! Ahahaha"! J.R.: "Well I know one thing, Bahamut was once a man of honor in my opinion, but he's turned into nothing more than a sorry excuse for a competitor and he's gonna have hell to pay at War in the Winter"! BUT AFTER THE MATCH, STEINER IS WALKING UP THE RAMP WHEN HIGH OCTANE COMES OUT OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA. STEINER TURNS AROUND AND IS BLASTED WITH THE "HEAD ON COLLISION"! Lawler: "Oh and I suppose that was okay"! J.R.: "Hey, it's fine by me"! Lawler: "Hey, you mentioned hell to pay J.R., High Octane's gonna be doing worse than that I'm afraid"! BACKSTAGE... STEPHANIE's OFFICE.... STEPHANIE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION WITH KEVIN NASH. Kevin Nash: "The bottom line is, I would have beated him in that handicap match if he didn't low blow me. I'm sick of Triple H talking about how he runs RAW. I want his ass in a match at War in the Winter"! Stephanie: "Ok Kevin, how bout this? I'll give you a match with Triple H at War in the Winter, only it'll be a tag team match. You and High Octane vs. Triple H and Steiner. That is, pending Triple H doesn't become world champion tonight". Nash: "Oh, is that all"? NASH LEAVES WITH A SMIRK ON HIS FACE AND THE GUERRERO's ENTER. Eddue Guerrero: "Hello mamacita, just the person we were looking for". Stephanie: "Eddie, Chavo, is this about the tag team titles"? Eddie: "You're damn right it is mommy". Chavo: "Yeah, you're damn right. We've earned a shot at those titles, why haven't we gotten one"? Stephanie: "Well guys, I have found a way to make all the deserving teams happy. You will all compete in a fatal four way elimination match at War in the Winter! And for warm up, four of you get to be in a fatal four way elimination bout, one of them is you Chavo". Chavo: (pointing to himself) "Me"? Eddie: "Hey, what's up with that? I should be the one to go out there and represent our team". Stephanie: "Well tonight Eddie, your role will be as a specatator. Spectating from back here". Chavo: "Don't worry about it uncle Eddie, I'll take care of everything". Stephanie: "Well you better go take care of it, cause your match is next". Chavo: "Next?! We can't be next, you just told us"! Eddie: "Let's just go Chavo, we'll be the next tag team champions no matter what happens tonight". INTRODUCTIONS ARE MADE. Fatal 4 Way elimination Tommy Dreamer vs. Mr. Perfect vs. Austin Pyromania vs. Chavo Guererro As the bell sounded, Perfect and Guerrero made a verbal agreement to work together and they paired off, Chavo against Pyromania and Perfect against Dreamer. Dreamer and Perfect traded shots in the far corner but Chavo was eliminated when Pyromania reversed an irish whip and caught him with a hurracanrana. He grabbed his legs for extra leverage to get the pin. But right afterwards, Perfect threw Dreamer to the floor and came over to work on Pyromania. He slapped him with several knifedge chops against the chest followed by a snap mare. But when he went for his somersault neckbreaker, Dreamer held his foot and Perfect fell flat on his face. Dreamer then got in but with every man for himself, Pyromania hit him with a right hand and then whipped him to the ropes and followed it up with a powerslam. He hooked the leg but Dreamer kicked out at 2. Pyromania again whipped him to the ropes but Dreamer ducked a clothesline and stuck Pyromania right into the mat with a perfect ddt to get the pin. Perfect came from behind again but Dreamer was all fired up and he returned his fire. He went for the "Dreamer Driver" but Perfect escaped and unloaded some knifedge chops onto Dreamer. He then went for an irish whip but Dreamer reversed it and sent him for the ride. But Dreamer put his head down too early and the veteran Perfect capitalized and used the "Perfect Plex" to pin Dreamer and win the match. Match Time: 14:13 J.R.: "Oh boy, if that tag team four way is anything like this at War in the Winter, it's gonna be a helluva match"! Lawler: "Well that'll be my prediction, the perfect team will win that too! Look J.R."! CHRISTOPHER NOWINSKI CAME OUT IN THE ENTRY WAY AND CONGRATULATED PERFECT. BOTH MEN RAISED THEIR ARMS AS THE CROWD LOUDLY BOOED. J.R.: "Don't go away, the World title match is next"! COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE.... NAILS CONFRONTS AKASHA. Akasha: "Ah, the psycho hockey player. I've been waiting for this since I came to the TWF". Nails: "Don't you ever go into my dressing room again. Because if you do..... Akasha: "Ah ah ah, save it because I just got out of Ms. McMahon's office and you'll get your shot at us at War in the Winter. In an intergender toughman rules tag team match. It's gonna be me and my Spawn against you and Lita. (Akasha laughs) If you get pinned, Spawn takes your Toughman belt. If I get pinned, which we all know won't happen, Lita gets my women's title. So save your agression until then Wayne Gretzky". AKASHA WALKS AWAY AND NAILS LOOKS AT HIS BELT BEFORE OVERTURNING A NEARBY TABLE. J.R.: "Nails doesn't like that decision". Lawler: "Are you kidding J.R.? He and Lita? They can't co-exist"! OTHER SIDE OF THE ARENA.... CIVIL RIGHTS DRESSING ROOM.... SHELTON BENJAMIN IS PREPARING FOR HIS MATCH. Teddy Long: "Now listen Shelton. I know that punk ass cousin of yours has tried to feel your head with lies. But he's just one person. Think of all your people. Think of the great Martin Luther King, jr. Think of Malcolm X and all the others. We owe it to them and we owe it to our people to show that we aren't gonna back down from those who look down on us. Just think about that kid". J.R.: "Hey Teddy, he's got a match with The Undertaker tonight. I don't think the kid needs anything else to think about". Lawler: "Oh quit J.R., Teddy Long knows what he's doing". "THE GAME" BY MOTORHEAD HITS AND TRIPLE H COMES OUT AND POURS WATER OVER HIS HEAD. HE IS MET BY A LOT OF BOOS. J.R.: "Well we are all set for our World title match as this man has excercised his rematch clause in order to get under his ex-wife's skin". Lawler: "Not only that J.R., The game deserves this rematch! He was never even involved in that decision at Deadly Games"! THE CIVIL RIGHTS LOGO APPEARS ON THE TWF TRON AND RON SIMMONS IS LEAD TO THE RING BY TEDDY LONG, THE WORLD TITLE STRAPPED AROUND HIS WAIST. J.R.: "Well not to defend this man, but Triple H new the rules of that match before he signed the contract". Lawler: "Triple H is focused tonight though J.R., he could change the entire complexion of War in the Winter". TWF World Title Match Challenger.... Triple H vs. Ron Simmons w/Teddy Long After a collar and elbow tie up, these two traded side headlocks. Simmons backed Triple H to the ropes and sent him in. He drove a shoulder into him, knocking him to the mat. Simmons then launched himself with a flying shoulder block but Triple H sidestepped him. Triple H then locked in a reverse armbar, slowing the pace. Simmons was able to work his way to a standing position and he used 3 straight rights to break the hold. Simmons then sent HHH to the ropes but put his head down too early and a facebuster to the knee lead to a big clothesline. Triple H was starting to get into a groove when Kevin Nash just walked right into the ring and assualted Triple H, causing a DQ. He then delivered the Jacknife powerbomb and left the game laying. Simmons grabbed his belt from Teddy Long and they left the ring as the Wolfpac theme hit and Nash raised his arms as the crowd came to their feet in cheer. Match Time: 7:09 J.R.: "Kevin Nash has waltzed right in here and screwed Triple H out of the World title"! Lawler: "Well the match wasn't over but Triple H was in control"! J.R.: "This means that High Octane will team with Big Sexy to take on Triple H and the genetic freak at War in the Winter! What a showdown that's gonna be"! Lawler: "Steiner and Triple H are gonna wanna cripple those two after tonight"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL... BACKSTAGE.... CAMERAS SHOW BAHAMUT GETTING READY TO LEAVE THE ARENA BUT FIRST, HE LIGHTS AN OLD PICTURE OF HE AND STRIFE WITH THE TWF TAG TEAM TITLES ON FIRE. HE THEN WALKS OUT THE ARENA EXIT. COMMERCIAL BREAK..... RETURN FROM BREAK... RINGSIDE.... AS RAW RETURNS, SHELTON BENJAMIN IS IN THE RING LISTENING TO INSTRUCTIONS FROM TEDDY LONG WHEN "YOU'RE GONNA PAY" HITS AND THE UNDERTAKER COMES OUT TO THE BIGGEST POP OF THE NIGHT. J.R.: "We're back on RAW folks and here comes the number one contender for the World title". Lawler: "This is the biggest oppurtunity of Shelton Benjamin's life J.R.! What if he could knock off The Undertaker"? J.R.: "It'd be a huge feather in his cap but he could also be what propels the Undertaker and fuels his push towards the World title match at War in the Winter". Shelton Benjamin w/Teddy Long vs. The Undertaker Using his speed and quickness, Benjamin jumped out to an early advantage by catching The Undertaker with 2 weel placed dropkicks. He stayed away from The Undertaker's range and was able to land some quick strike offense. After a back footsweep took him off his feet, Benjamin went to the top rope looking for a double axe handle. But The Undertaker caught him around the throat and delivered a huge chokeslam. The crowd then rose from their seats as The Undertaker pulled the rookie in. He then lifted him up and pointed at Teddy Long before delivering the "Last Ride" for the emphatic win. Match Time: 8:02 J.R.: "Oh yeah, The Undertaker's ready, you better believe that Teddy"!
