X Marks His Spot #6

March 22, 2008

Welcome back for the sixth edition of the original developmental column, X Marks His Spot. All the usual business is set to take place this month including a new interview to end the column. This month here for an interview is The Dockland Destroyer. So to get straight to the point, let's start the review.

Review

We are starting fresh off the 2007/2008 King of the Mat where Richard Ramsley continued to build his reputation as one of the best Asylum has to offer. We will start with Havoc where Mr. Hentai defeated Derek Darko in singles competition and Dockland Destroyer made quick work of Chris Rombola. Then on the debut edition of Defiance where Bill Cutting was victorious in the first match of the night after he pinned Blaze thanks to alot of outside interfence. The Wakeman Foundation defeated the Russians in a non-title tag team match. It looks as though we have yet to see the last of Manchild and Sgt. Corral, in fact it looks like they're hatred for each other has only grown since their last match. It was also the first time that the U.S. championship and the Heavyweight title were on the line in a tag team match when the new heavyweight champ CJ Lethal teamed with the new U.S. champ James Diamond to take on Generation X, the champions retained their titles. Mike Dibiase Jr. has taken a huge step forward in his developmental career from facing low class stars on Havoc to now placing himself at the top when he aligned himself with Mr. Norton and cost Shane Bentley his match at King of the Mat, but no matter how fast he has risen past the rest of the Asylum stars, he couldn't put away Richard Ramsley unless he got disqualified first which he did, awarding the win to Richard Ramsley. In the main event, Chris Kaos made his return to the ring at the King of the Mat but he continued to look impressive as he battled the Gatekeeper but just as it looked like Kaos might have the pinfall, he was attacked by Generation X and as the show closed, Generation X was standing tall in the ring.

Interview

Sebastian Cain: Alright Dockland, why don't we start with you giving a little bit of a backround about yourself?

Dockland Destroyer: Everyone knows I'm from the docklands and I'm for the docklands. Most fools can spin you a story about childhood and some special times but I can't, I was never born, I never grew up, I have never been conceived. I came to be. Call me the savior of the docklands, call me what you want but that is my reality. Thats right I came to be because there is too much corruption today and it's everywhere, though nowhere is it worse than within my people. For far, far too long my dockland brethren have been abused and oppressed by the corporations. When I came to them they accepted me openly and sent me to do my bidding against the corporations and against their oppressors. For years I roamed every port city in America, not helping the good but simply destroying the bad. Throughout the years I met the Yard Boss who is now my manager and your guardian from me. The Yard Boss tends to keep me in line but even he fails to keep in my hatred of the corporations..........

Cain: What goals do you hope to achieve in your Asylum career as well as the rest of your TWF career?

DD: To be known, to bring something back to my people of the docklands, to bring them some hope. Whether it's a title or Richard Ramsley's head, I don't care, I serve my people. Every professional wrestler wants some recognition and ultimately for me, just proving myself and making it into the TWF would be an accomplishment that many have failed at. Once I make it we can talk about what I hope to accomplish there but right now I'm focusing on kicking Ramsley's ass and taking home some Asylum hardware in the future.

Cain: What makes you different from all the other development stars?

DD: Half of these chumps grew up in a suburb, drove to the cottage every weekend and mommy and daddy spoon fed them until they were eight. Then they had to pick something to do with their lives and so they chose professional wrestling and here they still are, in the Asylum after so many years of utter failure. What makes me different from that? Everything. I'm actually going to the TWF, I didn't choose professional wrestling, hell it chose me.

Cain: Why did you decide to join the Devil's Advocates and not the Cult of XXXTC?

DD: The Cult is a pussy palace, a sissy society or whatever the hell you want to call it and I'll have no part in such things. The Cult has some pretty good support systems in place considering they can make Richard Ramsley and Rex Redford feel as good as they unfoundedly believe themselves to be. It's truly laughable. Joining the Devil's Advocates may not be the norm for most wrestlers, but I like to think I'm not an ordinary wrestler, I do things my way. Just ask the Yard Boss what happens when someone or something stands in my way.

Cain: As of now you are 2-0 in your matches, what is your motivation to destroy your opponents?

DD: As I mentioned, everything I do, I do for my brethren of the docklands. The years of their exploitation and the built up hatred towards the corporations is all channeled through me when I step into the ring. Whether I am chopping Ramsley in the chest or throwing Devue into a Boston Tea Party, every time I destroy one of these chumps a little bit of rage is alleviated. Sometimes if the wait between matches is too long, I'll snap and just go out there no matter who it is. I just need to let it out. Until you have witnessed the travesties commited by the corporations first hand, one could never understand but what I do and how I do it is a must and I won't be stopped. Cain: Let's do some word association...... the first word is...

Docklands

DD: Home... hell....

Cain- Asylum

DD: Stepping stone

Cain- Heavyweight Championship

DD: Mine

Cain- Richard Ramsley

DD: Chump

Cain- Unbeatable

DD: My heart

Cain- Manchild

DD: Laughable

Cain- "X marks his Spot"

DD: Awesome

Cain: That about does it but before we go, I like to give my guest a chance to get something off their chest, any closing comments?

DD: Thanks for this. Even speaking to someone from the press that can inform the masses about my people and their problems helps me, otherwise I may have snapped on your ass.

Cain: Well I'm sure the "masses" are all shaking in their boots. Thanks for joining me.

And that does it for this month's edition, join me next month for a new column as I will once again break down the ranks of The Asylum.
