Cain Connection #2

December 13, 2008

Welcome to the long awaited second edition of the Cain Connection. In this months column, we will review the King of the Ring pay per view, as well as the events leading up to it. At the end of this months column we will have a TWF star here for an interview but first, lets go to the review.

The Review

First we will talk about the TWF Heavyweight championship match between Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton. This all started when Randy Orton won a triple threat match to become the number one contender. From there he insured that the weeks leading up to King of the Ring was anything but pleasant for the champ. At the Main Event the two teamed together and Mr. Kennedy got a little revenge, costing hiself and Orton the match in the process. When these two lock up we may have a new champion.

The TWF Universal championship between John Cena and Edge was originally a triple threat which had the Undertaker as the third participant. John Cena was supposed to face Joe Corey to decide the number one contender but Undertaker took out Corey and the match never took place. At TWF Main Event Cena and Edge teamed up and were victoious and as the show went off the air, Undertaker was found knocked out in the back and is not cleared to compete at King of the Ring, therefore it will be a one-on-one match and I think Cena may have this one.

The Rivalry between Joe Corey and Sylvestar Terkay has been a year in the making. At last years King of the Ring, Corey convinced Terkay to bow out of the tournament so Corey could become the King. One year later, Corey wants Terkay to give the ECW title back but this time, Terkay was not so willing. Now ECW will collide at King of the Ring for the ECW title.

On the Rampage side of the King of the Ring tournament semi-finals, Jason Oliver is set to face the longest reigning King of Cable champ J.J. Ramplin. Decide for yourself how this one will go. This one will be hard to call. Jason Oliver first beat RVD, then Dylan Jansens and Ramplin first beat Shelton Benjamin then Matt Cruz. Whoever wins this one will not be the King, not until they go through the PrimeTime side of the tournament. Vladimir Kozlov will take on the apparent leader of the Requiem, Kevin Thorn. This one I predict will go in the favor of the Moscow Mauler. Kozlov has defeated Aldo Corleone and Nails to get in the semi-finals and Thorn has beaten Matt Hardy and Tatanka. Its sure it will be unpredictable but by the end of the ppv the TWF will have a new king.

The rivalry between Jordan Rockwell and Mark Henry has become personal. It started when Rockwell re-invented himself with a new attitude. From there it went on like an ordinary fued until the following week when Henry squashed both Rockwell and his wife Lita who later we found out was pregnant. Rockwell has abandoned his new attitude for the time being and is now focused on both his wife, and making Mark Henry pay for his actions.

The fued between Travis Wakeman and Chris Masters has reignited over the past few weeks. Chris Masters has attacked Wakeman before a match, and even along with Sean O'haire beat Chris Tirpak who was teaming with Wakeman at the Main Event. The fued between these two top stars has returned and I predict that Wakeman will be able to overcome the Masterpiece.

Money Mike and Eddie St. James were both in the triple threat match for the number one contendership for the TWF title, neither man won and now the two just have a dislike for each other. St. James and Mike will face off at King of the Ring, but don't forget about Eddie and his magician-like illusions.

D'Lo and M.X. Ogden have been bitter toward each other since Candice was kicked out of GeNext. D'Lo has defended her, even teaming together against M.X. and Stacy. At King of the Ring, the two will battle one-on-one. GeNext may have the advantage as they have a new member in Deuce Snuka, who will likely play a role in the match.

Samaiel came in as hired help for Edge. Samaiel came through at MeltDown, costing Chaos Wolf the belt. Samaiel had a succesful debut. These two fought in public during the Main Event. At King of the Ring it will be a sanctioned match between the two.

The million dollar mogul PJ Cash and The Warlord spoiled the return of a sobered Damion West. The following week, we saw the same beatdown as the previous week. I feel at King of the Ring, West may get some revenge.

News

-Both China Rose and Luya Dawnstar have been released from their contracts.

-The plans are for SlaughterHouse and Badlandz to be combined into one Brand, keeping the name SlaughterHouse.

-Mike will continue to do Asylum but, instead of writing out the results he plans to record the actual matches and post them on the site.

Interview It's time for the interview to cap off the column, this time I have PrimeTime star Jordan Rockwell for an interview. He has alot to talk about concerning his match at King of the Ring and his wife Lita. So let's jump right into it.

Sebastian Cain: "First off, how is Lita doing after recent events involving Mark Henry"?

Jordan Rockwell: "She is doing... I don't want to say fine but she is doing okay considering what happened and she was released from the hospital and put on strict doctor's ordered bed rest for a few weeks".

Cain: "At King of the Ring you face the man that hosplitalized your wife; Mark Henry for the Intercontinental championship, how are you feeling about stepping into the ring with the worlds strongest man"?

Rockwell: "How do I feel about stepping into the ring with the guy that put my wife in the hospital? Well like I said on PrimeTime, I feel nothing what so ever except for justified, because at King of the Ring I am going to beat Mark Henry up, then I will beat him down and then when I decide I have had enough I will take him out, but the problem is it will be a slow process, and by problem I mean that for him! Because whether I leave that night as the Intercontinental champion or not is not relevant and whether I allow Mark Henry to leave that arena of his own free will is".

Cain: "Are you going to be able to focus on this match with all that is going on outside of the TWF"?

Rockwell: "There in lies the problem, because Jordan Rockwell the professional wants to go out there and steal the show like always and win the Intercontinental title but, Jordan the man, the husband, and the father wants to eliminate Mark Henry from wrestling. In the end, Mark Henry in my opinion needs not pray to God cause when it comes to his career, I am God. As I said before, I am the one that will decide whether he leaves of his own free will or gets carried out, so I guess the best answer I can give is tune in to see what I am focused on".

Cain: "I hear you plan on getting a new tattoo, is there any meaning to it"?

Rockwell: "Yes there is. As many people know a while back we lost a great preformer in Kid Gundam, may he rest in peace. Well when I first got started in the TWF, he was the guy that mentored me and also when I battled my demons and was messing up he was the guy that grabbed me by the back of my shirt and basically forced me to slow down and fly right. So the first part of the tattoo is going to be one of his earlier paint jobs he never got to use on his face, the rest of it is basically the first letter of my wife's name, and that of my two children and the one we have on the way and it will be on my inner left forearm so in a way I am carrying them all with me forever".

Cain: "Do you have any hard feeling toward your former tag team partner Shawn Micheals"?

Rockwell: "Ya know, that is the one question I get a lot as of late and I want to set the record straight. Because I do not hate Shawn nor do I have any hard feelings for him, following MeltDown the problem I had then and in a way do now, is that he showed compassion for Katie Lea Burchill after she got knocked off the apron. When he knows that if the roles were reversed she would have done everything but show concern for him and that is a fact. Top it off with his minor brain fart as I said cost us the TWF tag team titles and that is the truth. Truth is the United Nations did not beat us, Shawn Michaels beat us. But that is in the past. I respect and admire Shawn and I have for a long time and always will as well as the fact that it was a honor for me to be his tag team partner and to hold the titles with him".

Cain: "What was the reason behind your new way of seeing things. When I say that I'm reffering to your put yourself first idea"?

Rockwell: "The reasoning has to go back to the loss at MeltDown because I was upset about the loss of the titles and I recall sitting in the hotel that night and I thought to myself how Shawn was not thinking about me or keeping the titles and the more I thought about it the more upset I got and the fact is, I have given myself to this company for seven years and the fact that several of these know it all's think they can come in here and tell me anything is a joke".

In conclusion of this months Cain Connection, I would just like to thank my guest Jordan Rockwell for the interview. I will be back in early 2009 with the third edition of the Cain Connection, until then just want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.
