Diano's 2 Cents

January 24, 2004

Okay, it is time once again for everyone's favorite column, mine.... and this month, I want to dedicate this to a good person, to Chris Dalby ! Moving on to accomplish his goals in life, you will be missed.

RAW

Things on RAW seem to get weirder every single show as of late and it all begins with the Enforcer position, with several people filling the spot up until Kurt Angle won the right to pick the recent Enforcer Hulk Hogan who may make things very intresting on RAW from now on. Then there is the situation surrounding the TWF World title and specifically, the undeniable clash between High Octane and The Undertaker. Octane isn't just battling to get the title from the deadman, he is trying to get his respect which he is getting none of and that is a shame on Taker's part. In the tag team scene, you have Los Guerrero's looking to become the next champions of the tag team division, but it is not in the favor of the Eddie and Chavo that La Resistance has William Regal in their corner who has proven he will do what ever is needed to get and keep his boys atop the tag team scene.

Impressed with: I am without a doubt impressed with Eddie Guerrero. He has rebuilt himself personally and professionally and is a credit to this business. Also I look at Joe Corey! He in his rookie year has shown a lot of guts in his recent incidents with RAW owner Stephanie mcmahon, and lastly, John Cena is impressing the hell out of me as of late with his dedication to Stephanie, RAW and to the fans. I think Cena's talent is limitless and his desire is great and his future is way bright!

not: I haven't been impressed with the Women's division as of late and Stephanie's usage of it recently. Also Sam Wilde is another subject for two reasons. First, I think he needs to understand god may be great and all, but you need to turn down the holy spirit and turn up the buttkicker spirit cause all those prayers haven't been helping him out in the ring as of late. Second, he has a woman like Jessica Lopez trying to get with him and he turns her away to be alone, not to bright!

mFw

The New York phenomomenon continues to grow in popularity and I have been very impressed with it's locker room but not with the Women's division.

PRIMETIME

The power struggle continues between Shane McMahon, Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar. The tag team division continues to flourish with the recent forming of the Dynamic Duo and their winning of the TWF tag team titles along with the Full Blooded Italians and the new team of Akio and Sakoda joining Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway as well as Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno. The lightheavyweight division has grown a great deal with Paul London, the champion Ultimo Dragon as well as Shane Thompson and countless others as of late.

Impressed: I am very impressed with the Million Dollar Corporation who are starting to gell together more each week and Chris Benoit is a thrill to watch as always in the ring especially with his crippler crossface being on the money.

not: I haven't been that impressed with The Chosen. The best move they have made is when they added Shane Thompson to the fold but fact is, Christopher Daniels along with Thompson are the only ones winning as of late. And also my biggest disappointment is the Four Elements once again. Why? Simply because if the group fails it will be because of the group not because of anything else due to the inability to stop bickering and fighting amongst themselves will cause an implosion for sure.

SMW

Smoky Mountain continues it's improvements with it's recent additions to it's roster over the past few weeks along with the companies great usage of it's tag team division and it's home state team of Jake Diamond and Dylan Page.

Random Thoughts

1. Taker's lack of respect: It bothers me that the most respected man in the TWF shows none sometimes, especially when it comes to High Octane, a guy who has improved himself and gotten to the top. I really hope this all changes!

2. Brock's quest for power: Thee most annoying thing about the TWF and about PrimeTime is having to watch Brock Lesnar try to be in control, it seems to me that he just simply can't be without power and it is really ridiculous to see how he can't be just another person in the locker room and how he has to be the one. Well I say simply this, enough of Brock Lesnar and his trying to be in control.

3.tag team wrestling in the TWF: The growing trend of tradition in the TWF is a breath of fresh air for me. Tag team wrestling is one of the things our sport was founded on and with teams like Eddie and Chavo Guerrero, the Million Dollar Corporation, La Resistance, Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno, etc..... the tag teams of the past would be proud!

IS IT ME

1. is it me or does the TWF get better all the time?

2. is it me or is it good to see the level of competiton rise?

3. is it me or is the Million Dollar Man's laugh rather catchy?

4. is it me or are a lot more people getting a shot now a days?

5. is it me or does A-Train get hairier by the week?

6. and finally, is it me or does Shane Thompson seem to get better each week?

IN THE END

In the end of my column, I once again want to dedicate this to a great member of the TWF family who'll never lose that spot, Chris Dalby! Keep breathin' that fire, dragon!

Well that's all for this month so this is ya boy jd sayin, this is my two cents! But I ain't tellin' ya anything you don't already know.
