Anarchy Rulz 2004 edition
July 25, 2004
It's time once again for everyone's favorite column........................ mine! (sorry Gabe) That's right, your boy is back to bring sunshine into your lives, so let the tanning begin!
First off kiddies I will go over Rampage's Anarchy Rulz
1. Casket match: Goldust vs The Undertaker: Now I ain't gonna waste your or my time on this one, cause if I gotta sell you on this then ya'll got issues!
my pick: Taker
2. 8 man turmoil match: Johnny Blaze vs Taylor Made vs Rodney Mack vs A-Train vs Frankie Kazarian vs Hurricane vs Carney vs Billy Gunn: This one is kinda tough to call because all of the men in this need this win to move their careers ahead, but I think A-Train is at a slight advantage cause he's tasted the King of Cable title once already.
my pick: Taylor Made cause he's been on a roll as of late
3. Mordecai vs Sam Wilde: The pale rider goes against the preacher that's searching for himself in this one and this may surprise everyone but I think Mordecai needs this one more then Wilde does.
my pick: Mordecai
4. Rampage Tag Team title match: John Cena/Austin Pyromania vs (c) La Resistance: The doctor and Pyro take on the foreign contingent, but for me personally, the one advantage for Storm and Grenier is that they have wrestling legend Jimmy Hart in their corner and we all know he will get involved.
my pick: Cena/Pyromania
5. King of Cable title match: Joe Corey(c) vs Shelton Benjamin: The Show takes on the best pure young talent on Rampage and I think it truly will be all about the Benjamins at the ppv. Shelton Benjamin is a guy that will give Corey some headaches cause he needs to prove he can do it on his own.
my pick: Joe Corey
6. Hell in a cell/TWF World title match: Kurt Angle(c) vs Eddie Guerrero vs Damion West vs Bradshaw vs Justin Sane vs Nemesis: This one is an in-justice to Eddie Guerrero and at the same time a test for Angle's reign as champion.
my pick: Eddie Guerrero
7. Women's title triple threat match: Victoria (c) vs Lita vs Gail Kim: Three of the hottest diva's on Rampage do battle when without question, thee most improved wrestler Victoria defends against the asian sensation and the extreme mommy.
my pick: Victoria
8. Val Venis vs Christian: The big Valbowski versus one of the best tag team wrestlers in the business go one on one.
my pick: Christian okay now onto Rampage in general
1. First, Bradshaw as a main eventer? Please..... if Bradshaw even stands near guys like Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero or High Octane, he should be arrested for trespassing cause he has no business near a main event!
2. I think it's time for everyone on the Rampage brand to get over Eddie Guerrero's past and just move on. Fact is the man is a first ballot hall of famer in my opinion and he should not be ridiculed for things he has done in the past. I mean to me, he should be given a World title shot just for surviving 3 different occassions where he should have died, so I say if he does not win at the pay-per-view, then Stephanie McMahon should do the right thing and give him the one on one match he desrves.
3. What's Goldust thinking? I mean does he understand what will happen to him at Anarchy Rulz? The Undertaker is coming back to the TWF with the sole purpose of lodging his foot in Kurt Angle's ass. Do you all think he'll let Goldust stand in his way?
4. Just two words for this one, Victoria and yummy!
now for Primetime
1. Bahamut and Strife are together again and the question of the day is can the once greatest team in TWF history dominate again? There is a new element to tag team wrestling on PrimeTime and the new style of teams may prove tough for two men that have been apart for a long time. But as the saying goes, if it walks, talks and acts like it, it probably is and I believe the TWF icons will maybe not dominate but they will leave a path of destruction left in their shadows.
2. Much like my associate Gabe said in his column, Raven get's power and abuses it to the fullest extent and as he likes to say, what about me? I say who the hell cares about Raven! I mean to be honest, Janet Jackson coined it best when she sang what have you done for me lately?
3. Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno's fued is without question the most personal rivalry in the TWF and I have done some research. When Rockwell first started, the big unit before the New Breed was the tandem of Rockwell and Rhyno alongside Edge and Christian, so in a nutshell, Rhyno sold Rockwell out over greed.
4. Some think the tournament for the lightheavyweight title is a good thing, one question though. Is that cause none of the people in it could beat Ultimo Dragon? I mean, last I checked, competion was a good thing, not being given something! Hell this ain't Christmas!
Both SlaughterHouse and SMW continue to flourish with their top talent making waves and new talent rising on both shows especially men like Mariner, Xavier and the team of Jake Diamond and Dylan Page in SMW and guys like Marcus Hansen, JD Blaze and Keath Blomgren along with Hell's Henchmen in S.H.
IS IT ME......
1. Is it me or do you all still wanna smack Teddy "peanuthead" Long in the head?
2. Is it me or is Bradshaw in a mai nevent kinda like seeing Mae Young in a two piece bikini?
3. Is it me or is it funny hearing Mordecai talk about serving a lord yet seeing him battle a preacher?
IN THE END
In the end I wanna say good luck to everyone from Rampage on their ppv matches, especially guys like my buddy Pyro who seems to finally have a partner he can win with and that has a normal nickname. And lastly, to answer a question I have gotten a lot recently, yes Shane Thompson's head has gotten bigger and yes it will continue to grow so please steer clear if you see him coming.
Well that's my time for this column! So till next time this is ya boy JD saying, enjoy the anticipation cause next time I'll be everything you dreamed I'd be..... and then some!!!!
