What's up, TWF World? I'm back to holla atcha with a Rampage/Anarchy Rulz edition of the LowDown. Lots of major happenings have occured since I last commented on the Rampage side of things, so let's get down to business.
> John Cena is really proving himself to be a worthy World Champion. He defeated two of the best this business has to offer in Kurt Angle and Drew Blood in the Triple Threat match at Anarchy Rulz. A lot of people doubted Cena. I hear a lot of talk from naysayers that say he is all mouth, and no real wrestling ability. "I don't pay attention to the haters out there. If I really didn't have any ability in that ring, then why am I champion?", is what he had to say when I brought that to his attention. I guess that pretty much sums it up. Nobody is that lucky, to walk out of a match with Drew Blood and Kurt Angle and come out the winner.
> Congrats to Travis Wakeman and Trish Stratus for getting hitched in the Mile High City. I admit, I had tears in my eyes. But it was only because I hadn't saved a ton of money by switching to Geico like I was promised! On a serious note, whomever that druid was, he had some pretty big spaldings to show up and try to ruin the day for the happy couple. I'm sure that druid will have hell to pay when the Wakemans get back from their honeymoon. Man, it's going to be weird refering to Trish as "Mrs. Wakeman".
>Lots of drama over in the Horsemen camp these days. (Horsemen? I would've preffered the Dungeon of Doom, but that's just me!) Stephanie McMahon tried to stall the Horsemen momentum when she traded what she thought was a potential member, Chris Masters, to Primetime. She got duped when "The Show" Joe Corey revealed that it was the man who Rampage got in return that was the next member. Jason "Tiger" Oliver made his debut at Anarchy Rulz, tagging with Corey against "High Octane" Damion West and Rey Mysterio. It ended on a sour note for the Horsemen members when Corey got pinned by Mysterio on a debated three count. In all fairness to those guys, it did look like Corey kicked out just in the nick of time, but all referees desicions are final. Money Mike salvaged the night for the Horsemen when he defeated the Icon, The Showstoppa, The Main Event, Shawn Michaels. It was a big win for the former GSE star, he earned it. His personality may leave a little to be desired, but his ability can't be questioned. Might there be a rift in the Horsemen already? I hear Money Mike was none too pleased with the loss Corey and Oliver suffered earlier in the night. His ego won't allow himself to be associated with "losers", and he sees himself as the unoffical leader of the group, so problems might soon creep up. Oliver is the rookie, so he won't speak up much. Corey and MM might be butting heads more than they would like us to know.
> The streak is over! Jamal and Rosey's nearly year long stangle hold on the tag team titles was ended in the Tables Match by Karam Ibrahim and Matt Cruz. It was an upset, and much kudos goes to Ibrahim and Cruz for taking it to the big Samoans and not backing down. I wouldn't call it a huge upset, however, because I feel these two can dominate the Tag Team scene for a long time to come. I tagged a long to the victory party that was thrown for them in Downtown Denver by Carmelo Anthony and his fiance Lala Vasquez. Lala used her MTV connections and got a virtual Who's Who of the entertainment world to be there. Biggest among the guests were the entire G-Unit and Dr. Dre and Eminem. Dre even gave some love to Cruz for using one of his songs as his entrance theme. Cruz is a big fan, so I'm sure he was especially on Cloud 9 after the show. Hard to believe that Ibrahim and Cruz despised each other just a couple of months ago, now they're good buddies. It's like one of those stereotypical "Buddy Cop" movies.
>I can't imagine what Austin Porteau, the former Austin Pyromania, is thinking. I knew he had aspirations of one day being the top guy in the business, I just had no idea he also aspired to be an ass-kissing "yes man" too. It's all too convienent that he blames being unique and giving the people what they want as an excuse for not getting ahead. I got news for you: people in power don't view their toadies, flunkies, lickspittles, etc as equals. How far do you think you'll really get with that attitude? I don't think people in power kissed a lot of ass to get there. Although, on the bright side, I do enjoy seeing Stacy Keibler in the Miss Hancock outfit again. Homina, homina, homina.
>The Denver Police Department could've arrested Matt Hardy for the theft he committed at Anarchy Rulz. He had to resort to a handful of tights to get the win over Shelton Benjamin. His little "M'fer" Johnny Jeter being down there sure didn't hurt things for Hardy. It's only a matter of time before Benjamin gets the King Of Cable title back. As good as Hardy is, I just don't think he's in Benjamins' league. I just want to know, what flavor of Kool-Aid is Hardy serving Jeter, to make him follow him around like a little lap dog?
Rumors and Rantings
>I hear the Divas lockerroom is not as harmonious as their male counterparts. In particualr, Melina and Crystal Carmichael share a mutual emnity. The Brooke Valentine song, "Girl Fight", comes to mind when I think of these two. I got two words that would solve this beef: Jello Wrestling.
> My informant who was very close to the negotiations tell me that Stephanie McMahon was extemely upset at losing Mariner to her brother Shane and Primetime. Apparently, Mariner was dragging his feat when it came to putting pen to paper, and Shane swooped in at the last minute and signed him. Judging by this past weeks Primetime, Stephanie has a right to be upset.
> Has anyone seen my smile? I swear, I had it just a while ago. Oops, my bad, there it is! :)
> I watch "Hogan Knows Best" on VH1. Is it just me or does Brooke Hogan look a little like a younger Stacy Keibler? I refuse to say any more because I don't want Hulk to bodyslam me!
Well, that wraps up another edition of the highly entertaining and educating LowDown. I'll see you next time when I give you the LowDown (no pun intended) on Meltdown, the huge joint production of Rampage and Primetime. I'm Gabe Morales, and I'll see you at ringside. Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?
