Hosted by Max Ogden with Special Guest Melina
Max Ogden: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a special edition of The TWF Countdown. It's the first TWF Countdown since The Royal Rumble, and I'm here with a VERY special guest... The Women's Champion, Melina"!
RAMPAGE PREDICTIONS
Max Ogden: But, we're getting straight to the action with the first match of the Rampage night.
MONEY MIKE VERSUS SNITSKY
Max Ogden: No brainer... Snitsky is our enforcer, and he will enforce some pain on Money Mike!
Melina Perez: Wow, I'm surprised, we agree on something! I like what you Hart people have got going on, so, I'm going with Snitsky.
Max Ogden: Yeah, that's great.
TRAVIS WAKEMAN VERSUS LANCE CADE
Max Ogden: Travis beat him last week, he'll beat him again this week. But at the Royal Rumble, my boy HBK will hit him with some Sweet Chin Music, woo!
Melina Perez: Yeah, that's great. Travis will win, period.
MATT CRUZ AND REY MYSTERIO VERSUS MATT HARDY AND JOHNNY JETER: MATTITUDE
Max Ogden: Well, we all heard that Matt Cruz wants a shot at me, so, Matty, bring it on! I'll be watching this match closely. But, for my prediction. My good friend Matt Hardy will pin Rey Mysterio, just like I have in the past, 1... 2... 3...
Melina Perez: Who cares? Hollywood Heat is better than both teams!
KURT ANGLE VERSUS ROB STORM
Max Ogden: Rob, I gotta thank you man. You gave me my first feud in the TWF, and I whooped your ass! And Kurt, he needs a win, so I feel bad for you Rob because he's gonna break your damn ankle... WOO.
Melina Perez: Yeah, yeah, I agree, Kurt is just too damn good and it's true, it's damn true!
Max Ogden: Wow, I like that. Almost as much as I like you.
Melina Perez: If you want a date, you could just ask.
Max Ogden: Wow, you read my mind!
TATANKA VERSUS STEVEN RICHARDS Max Ogden: Well, we'll let you go first cutie pie.
Melina Perez: Wow, I didn't know you southerners had manners. Steven Richards is gonna beat that... Well, Indian guy.
Max Ogden: That's good. My boy Stevie Rich is on a roll since he started his teaming with Austin Porteau and Miss Hancock. Heh, cock. And this week, he'll continue it!
PRIMETIME PREDICTIONS
ROUND ONE IN THE "OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS" TOURNAMENT: BATISTA VERSUS RENEE DUPREE
Max Ogden: Renee, I don't like your moustache, so, you lose.
Melina Perez: Right, I don't care, but I agree. Batista wins.
ROUND ONE IN THE "OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS" TOURNAMENT: BOBBY LASHLEY VERSUS RANDY ORTON
Max Ogden: My boy Bobby, and my boy Randy. Hard pick, but, RANDY ORTON WINS FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW! WOO.
Melina Perez: What's up with you and saying woo? Orton's hotter, he wins.
LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: PAUL LONDON(c) VERSUS ESSA RIOS
Max Ogden: Essa Rios earned this shot, but Paul is my boy and earned his title. Paul wins, beeeeeotch!
Melina Perez: Once again, Paul is hotter, he wins.
INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: HEIDENREICH(c) VERSUS ROB CONWAY
Max Ogden: Why do I get the feeling Rob Conway will get disqualified? Heidenreich by DQ, but Conway gets a rematch later on. But if I have to pick a pinfall... GO CONWAY!
Melina Perez: Conway, Heidenreich just freaks me out.
KEN KENNEDY VERSUS ROME
Max Ogden: Kennedy is mad winner is... Ken Kennedy....
Melina Perez: Ye..
Max Ogden: KENNEDY...
Melina Perez: Right, Kennedy wins.
SEAN O'HAIRE VERSUS CHRIS PLATOON
Max Ogden: O'Haire is mad after losing his title, so, he wins!
MAX'S THOUGHTS ON THE TWF
Max Ogden: Ya know, I'm honestly glad this whole thing with The Horseman is ending because I've had it up to my neck with this! Money Mike, I don't care about you. JJ Ramplin, quit usin' steroids. Carney... You can't even buy a win without it bein' by DQ! And Jason Oliver... I've beaten you twice, and I'll do it a third time! Woo, so... Melina, what about that date?
Melina Perez: I'll tell you on Rampage...
Max Ogden: Perfect. Now, time for the Power 25!
TWF POWER 25
1. "High Octane" Damion West: Lost his TWF Championship to Money Mike, but won it back the very next Rampage. Won by Disqualification over Jason Oliver, and is the Special Enforcer for the Hart Family and Corey versus Horseman 8 Man Tag Match at Code Red.
2. Travis Wakeman: Won the Tag Team Titles with Bret Hart from the unbeatable Rosey and Jamal, and the next day not only won a qualifying match for the Rumble against HBK and Kurt Angle, but went on to win the Royal Rumble itself! He and Bret then beat Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch last week, but this week, Travis has to face one half of that team when he faces off against Lance Cade.
3. Edge: Regained the Universal Championship in an incredible TLC Match against Christian. Can Edge hold the title for a while now after being a Transitional Champion?
4. "The Memory Maker" Max Ogden: Ogden is the youngest King of Cable Champion in the history of the TWF, and the new King of Cable has won 12 of his last 13 matches, and is the new King of Cable. He defended succesfully, this time without cheating, against Shelton Benjamin and is heading into Code Red with extreme momentum for the 8 Man Tag Team Match. The big question is, what superstar is Ogden going to confront this week on Rampage?
5. Shane Thompson: Shane has set out on a mission to prove to us all that he is the best in the business. After his year in 2005, there is no doubt that he is one of the best, and winning a shot at the Universal Title would be just the thing of proof. Can Shane win the title again? His win over Ric Flair this week on Primetime sure did show us he could.
6. Joe "The Show" Corey: At The Royal Rumble, Joe "The Show" Corey came back and had a triumphant victory over JJ Ramplin. Not only that, but he helped get, and cost Money Mike the TWF Championship! This past week on Rampage, he dominated Doug Basham and he is teaming with The Hart Family for one night only to take on the Horseman at Code Red.
7. Jordan Rockwell: Rockwell Buried Nails Alive, but seems to have the biggest match of his life against the man who's oh-so-familiar gong has hit... Twice. If you don't get it, it's The Undertaker!
8. Bret Hart: Bret won the Tag Team Titles on Rampage, and then won a match against HBK and Kurt Angle to get into the Royal Rumble. This week, he beat HBK's opponents for him along with Travis Wakeman: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. The Excellence of Execution is back, and better than ever!
9. Money Mike: Won the TWF Championship, but lost it the very next Rampage right back to "High Octane" Damion West. He has an opportunity to get back at Joe Corey for screwing him out of the title at Code Red, but he also has to face the rest of the Hart Family. Hopefully, Mike can get a win for momentum when he faces Snitsky this week.
10. Rey Mysterio: Mysterio and Cruz's alliance is incredible, but Rey's dominating win over Johnny Jeter boosts Rey right into the Top 10. Rey seems very close in line for a King of Cable Shot after the win. This week, he and Cruz have to face Matt Hardy AND Johnny Jeter though, which always is a tall task.
11. Heidenreich: Heidenreich got a huge win over Sean O'Haire, one of the only men to do so lately, and won the Intercontinental Championship. But Heidenreich lost to Rob Conway this week, which keeps him out of the Top 10. Hopefully, he won't lose again to Conway, because this week the Intercontinental Championship is on the line.
12. Melina and Hollywood Heat: Melina won the Women's Championship at The Royal Rumble with help from Hollywood Heat, and won the Bra and Panties match versus Snow with help from Hollywood Heat again! Only question is, can Hollywood Heat win their own titles?
13. Randy Orton: Orton had a huge win over Batista and Lashley, but did it with a roll up. Orton needs a major RKO and a win over Lashley to advance in the Opportunity Knocks tournament to move into the Top 10.
14. Batista: 'Tista had his Tag Match won until Lashley made a rookie mistake. But if you know Batista, you know that he's not going to let this cheap win by Orton slide! And this week, he has a chance to advance for a possible shot at Shane Thompson in his match versus Renee Dupree.
15. Matt Cruz: It seems that he and Rey's new partnership makes Karim Ibrahim's departure and turning on him seem like nothing. Inactivity though keeps Cruz from being in the Top 10. This week, Cruz has a chance to get into the Top 10 and also prove that he is worthy of the King of Cable shot he believes he deserves when he and Rey Mysterio face off against Matt Hardy and Johnny Jeter.
16. Chris Masters: Masters got a huge win over Bahamut, and looks like one of the top contenders to win this Universal Title shot.
17. Paul London: London retained the Lightheavyweight Title at The Royal Rumble but was inactive this week. He faces a big challenge in Essa Rios though, which should make to be a Match of the Year candidate, this week on Primetime.
18. Kurt Angle: Kurt Angle has had a rough past few weeks, but this week on Rampage he has a chance to end that when he faces Rob Storm. If I was Storm, I'd be watching out, because Angle is looking to break some ankles!
19. The Orient Express: Inactivity and no title defense lately keeps The Orient Express from being higher, but being Tag Team Champions keeps them in the Top 20.
20. The Brood: The Brood got a huge win over La Familia this week and Gangrel seems to be a force to be reckoned with yet again, especially for The Orient Express' Tag Team Titles.
21. Christian: The title went back and forth and back and forth between Edge and Christian, and in the end, Christian holds the two shortest reigns in history. But, we've gotta give him props for finally winning the gold, Twice. How will Christian react this week on Primetime?
22. Essa Rios: Rios had a spectacular counter to the Top Rope Backdrop by Chaos Wolf and outlasted 5 other men to win a Lightheavyweight Title Shot. This week, Rios gets that shot at London and the title, if he wins, there is no doubt he'll be moving WAY up in the Power 25.
23. Rob Conway: Conway broke up his losing streak with a HUGE win over the Intercontinental Champion, Heidenreich! Can Conway win this week yet again over Heidenreich? If he does, he will be the NEW Intercontinental Champion.
24. Carlito: Carlito had a huge win beating his former ally and the man who attacked him just the week before, Derek Darko.
25. Steven Richarda: Richards got a huge win over Mackenzie Rose and it seems as if his partnership with Austin Porteau and Stacy Keibler is the best thing to happen to him his entire career. This week, Richards takes on Tatanka and looks to continue his winning.
On the Bubble:
Snitsky - A win over Money Mike just days before Code Red could sky-rocket his career.
Shawn Michaels - Needs a win to get in there.
The Undertaker - Needs to actually show up to get in.
Rob Storm - A win over Kurt Angle could be his biggest yet.
Renee Dupree - A win over Batista could get him one step closer to the Universal Title.
Austin Porteau - Needs to stop putting Richards over and get into the ring himself.
