This is the debut edition of TWF Wired, our new interview segment as part of the Superstar Corner. Maria Huerta, a new member of TWF.com, interviews "The Franchise" Jordan Rockwell this week!
Maria Huerta: So Jordan, you just come off the Elimination Chamber at War in the Winter. How were you feeling going into that bout?
Jordan Rockwell: Well I was not in the best shape going into it since I just had the hell in a cell match with Axl on Primetime, but other than that I was feeling great mentally and emotinally.
Maria Huerta: Tell me about the situation with you and Orton going into and during the match.
Jordan Rockwell: Well Randy's major issue is that he thinks he is God's gift to the business because of who his father and grandfather are and he is like a child when he gets shown otherwise. So he has an issue with the fact that I am the guy that sits atop Primetime with or without the Universal title around my waist. To me even though he is a veteran, he is no diffrent than some of the rookies that come into the business.
Maria Huerta: Were you suprised Axl won even with your assistance?
Jordan Rockwell: No! I know a lot of the people on Primetime along with the fans might not like his attitude, actions or him period, but he has a lot of heart and if he did not win that belt that night he would have eventually.
Maria Huerta: Looking ahead to the future, you've just been booked in a triple threat match at the Royal Rumble with Orton and Axl. What is your mindset and strategy going into that match?
Jordan Rockwell: Well I never go into a match thinking I am going to win cause that would not be smart so my strategy is the same as always, go into the Royal Rumble and give one million percent of me and then in the end of the night walk out with my head high regardless of the outcome. As for my mindset, it is simply as always to give the fans their money's worth and God willing when it's over, I leave with the title and if not, then I keep going till I have it for the third time.
Maria Huerta: You have a couple of weeks before the Royal Rumble. Are you worried Orton and/or Axl will try to take a shortcut before or during the match?
Jordan Rockwell: Not really, because if I worried about either one of them taking shortcuts I'd not have any time to do anything else for...well...ever. Because as I've said before that is the type of person Orton is and Axl, well, he is not a saint either, so whatever they want to do will not deter me from my goal at all.
Maria Huerta: Thank you very much Jordan. Do you have anything else to add?
Jordan Rockwell: Only thing I have to add is that to Axl and Orton..... at the Royal Rumble...... I got two words for you: It's showtime!
