THE NBC LOGO FLASHES ACROSS THE SCREEN WITH "NBC SPORTS" BELOW IT. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY THE STARTUP VIDEO TO TWF MAIN EVENT WHICH SHOWS MANY OF THE TOP SUPERSTARS IN THE TWF IN RECENT ACTION. THE VIDEO PACKAGE CONCLUDES WITH THE LEGENDARY VOICE OF MEAN GENE OKERLUND SAYING "WELCOME TO TWF MAIN EVENT"! THAT IS FOLLOWED BY THE SOUND OF A RING BELL BEFORE THE ARCO ARENA COMES INTO VIEW, PACKED FULL OF FANS AS IF IT WERE A KINGS GAME.
TODD GRISHAM AND THE HONKY TONK MAN ARE PUT ON CAMERA AT THEIR RINGSIDE BROADCAST POSITION.
Todd Grisham: "Welcome everyone to a very special edition of TWF Main Event, live from Sacramento where we are counting down the hours to the Royal Rumble! Todd Grisham alongside the Honky Tonk Man and Honky, we're in for a big night, you can just feel it"!
"AIN'T NO STOPPIN' ME NOW" IS HEARD AND SHELTON BENJAMIN COMES OUT TO HIS MUSIC WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST.
Honky Tonk Man: "The superstars of Rampage and PrimeTime are all under one roof, of course it's gonna be a big night"!
Grisham: "Well at the Royal Rumble, Shelton Benjamin will defend that very title in a triple threat match but first, he's got a tall order in front of him tonight"!
THE HART FAMILY THEME HITS AND JIMMY HART COMES OUT ALONG WITH SNITSKY TO SOME MAJOR BOOS.
HTM: "He sure does, this man will be one of the thirty entrants into the Royal Rumble and if you ask me, if he gets a high number, he could end up winning it all"!
Grisham: "This match of course is a non-title affair and you can be sure that wherever they are, Max Ogden and Jason Oliver have their eyes on this match".
HTM: "We saw Snitsky get a win over Oliver last week on Rampage but I gotta ask, has anyone made more noise on Rampage than the Hart Family"?
Grisham: "Well I'd have to say no. Jimmy Hart has his men very focused right now, something you should know a lot about, having the Mouth of the South manage you for a good part of your career".
HTM: "He's the best manager in the business Todd, bar none".
Non-Title Match Snitsky w/ Jimmy Hart vs. King of Cable & Million Dollar champion Shelton Benjamin The bell sounded and it was clear that Benjamin wanted to saty away from getting in close with Snitsky and relying on his athleticism to win the match. But Snitsky quickly caught him with a stiff clothesline before delivering a jumping shoulderbreaker. After whipping Benjamin to the corner, he followed in with a clothesline before hitting the ropes and going for a running boot. But Benjamin ducked that and caught the much bigger Snitsky with a spin kick to the face. When Snitsky got up, Benjamin grabbed him from behind and pulled him down, right on his knee. He made the cover but Snitsky kicked out at 2. Just then, Jason Oliver made his way down the ramp and began watching the action. Jimmy Hart alerted referee Jack Doan who told Oliver to stay back. In the ring, Shelton connected with a stinger splash before going to the top rope and hitting a lariat takedown. He had Snitsky for a count of 5, based on the count coming from the crowd but Hart was up on the apron, distracting Doan. Oliver came around and pulled Hart off but while this was going on, Max Ogden came from behind and entered the ring, drilling Benjamin with the "Memory Maker". Oliver saw Ogden getting out of the ring and the fight was on between them. But in the ring, Snitsky beat Shelton to his feet and just kicked him right in the face when he got up, making the cover and getting the 1.........2.........3. Match Time: 8:59 HTM: "Look at that! Mister King of Cable goes down in defeat! If he gets hit with that Memory Maker at the Royal Rumble, we're gonna have a new champion"! Grisham: "Yeah, but at the Rumble, he won't have Snitsky out there to help him"! JIMMY HART LEFT WITH SNITSKY AND OGDEN. THE 3 MEN CELEBRATED AND TAUNTED THE BOOING CROWD AS OLIVER LOOKED ON FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE ENTRANCE RAMP AND BENJAMIN FROM INSIDE THE RING. HTM: "Enjoy that title while you have it Shelton, I have a feeling it won't be yours much longer"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG WOMAN HOLDING A MICROPHONE. Woman: "Hello everyone, I am the new backstage correspondent for Rampage.... Kristal. With me at this time is Melina. THE CAMERA MOVES OVER TO BRING MELINA INTO THE SHOT. Melina, at the Royal Rumble, you have a chance to become Women's champion. What do you think will be the key to victory"? Melina: "Look, I didn't come here to answer questions from some stupid ex-game show host or whatever you used to do. I came out here to make a statement. Stacy Snow keeps reminding everyone that it will be a wrestling match at the Royal Rumble, not a beauty contest. Well, I got to thinking, why can't we do both. So I have set up a beauty contest between me and you Stacy and the fans of the TWF will be able to vote on TWF.com for who they think should win. Just take a look at these shots....... But there's no need to worry, because in less than one week, Joe Corey is coming back! A GOOD PORTION OF THE CROWD CHEERS. He has waited a long time to get back into this ring and all I got to say to Ramplin is......... JUST THEN, THE HORSEMEN THEME HITS AND THE ENTIRE GROUP COMES OUT TO A MIXED RESPONSE. Grisham: "Wait a minute, I don't think anyone asked for these guys to come out"! STEPHANIE McMAHON GETS ANOTHER MICROPHONE. Stephanie McMahon: "Hey Alexis, here's a news flash. No one gives a damn about Joe Corey so shut your mouth"! STEPHANIE HANDS THE MIC TO MONEY MIKE. Money Mike: "I know a lot of you people think I was offended by what High Octane did last week, mocking what used to be my home, the GSE. Gone Soon Entertainment? The only thing that's gonna be gone soon is that title you're carrying around Octane. And as far as tonight is concerned, Mark Banks, you really disappointed me man. But I got you in a no holds barred match tonight and all I can say is that I hope the EMTs are fully staffed because they're gonna be busy! So with....... Alexis: "Hey, you guys aren't just gonna come out here and interrupt me! Stephanie, you might be the boss' daughter, but you don't scare me"! WITH THAT, ALEXIS SLAPS STEPH ACROSS THE FACE AND TRIES TO HIT HER AGAIN WHEN SHE IS SPEARED BY J.J. RAMPLIN. Grisham: "Oh come on! He just took out a woman with the damn Ram's Horns"! HTM: "Oh like she didn't deserve it! She hit Stephanie McMahon"! THE HORSEMEN LEFT AND ALL OF THEM WERE LAUGHING AS ALEXIS CLUTCHED HER MIDSECTION IN THE RING. Grisham: "Well I can assure you that these guys will have hell to pay, and soon"! HTM: "Just remember one thing Todd, they do what they want, when they want to do it"! BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW SHANE THOMPSON WITH MEAN GENE OKERLUND AND ONCE AGAIN, THE RIOT COPS ARE PRESENT. Mean Gene: "Shane Thompson, we all know that you will take part in the thirty man over the top rope battle royale but what gives? What is the meaning of this"? Shane Thompson: "Never mind what they're doing with me old man, let's just focus on the Rumble. Once I go through twenty nine other guys and become the winner, this company will have no choice but to finally put the focus on me! Not only that, but they'll have to stop putting the focus on guys like Lashley! In fact, I hope Lashley is in that ring with me, so I can eliminate him and show the world that he's not half as good as the credit he gets! Any other questions, old man"? THOMPSON WALKS OFF AND THE COPS FOLLOW HIM. BACK AT RINGSIDE, A FRESH FACE IS SHOWN WHO MOST FANS DON'T RECOGNIZE. Grisham: "What the heck has gotten into Thompson? I'd love to see him and Lashley in the same ring at the Rumble". HTM: "I'd love to see him eliminate him! Look, he's left the guy laying in the ring, twice"! Grisham: "Yeah, but unless he brings that Singapore cane with him to the Rumble, I don't see him doing it again! But folks, this is your first look at Thumbtack Kash, a man who is currently training down in The Asylum but Chaos Wolf made an open challenge to anyone in the TWF who fit the lightheavyweight division limits and this young kid was the first to accept"! "IN THE END" BY LINKIN PARK HITS AND CHAOS WOLF COMES OUT ALONG WITH CHAE TO A HAORD OF BOOS. HTM: "Well I admire his guts but I think he'll quickly learn that he's not ready for this level". Grisham: "Chaos Wolf has been doing everything he can of late to convince everyone that he can compete with any lightheavyweight in the world and he has earned himself a shot at Paul London's title at the Royal Rumble but what a blow Thumbtack Kash could deal him here if he could pull the upset". HTM: "Well I'll say it right now, that would be the biggest upset in TWF history"! Grisham: "But fans this won't just be any kind of match. Both men have agreed that this will be a no disqualification, falls count anywhere match so it goes without saying that anything can happen here"! Open Challenge/No DQs/Falls Count Anywhere Chaos Wolf w/ Chae vs. Thumbtack Kash of Asylum The bell sounded to start the match and Chaos Wolf quickly realized that he was in for a fight. After a tradeoff of right hands, Wolf knocked Kash into the ropes but when he came at him with a clothesline, he was backdropped over the top rope and to the floor. Chae quickly came over to check on her man but she had to scramble out of the way as Kash left his feet, flying over the top rope with a corkscrew dive right onto Wolf. The crowd was loving every minute of the match as Kash reached under the ring and pulled out a kendo stick and a trash can lid. He smashed the lid over Wolf's face before grabbing the kendo stick. But before he could use it, Wolf punched him way below the belt and rolled him back in the ring. Chaos Wolf looked stunned that Kash took it to him in that manner but he began to wear the rookie down, smashing him with 2 knees to the head before cracking him twice across the back with the kendo stick. Then, Wolf positioned a steel chair that Chae gave him and drilled Kash with a piledriver right onto it. Kash folded up like an accordion and seemed to be in a tremendous amount of pain as Wolf rolled him over for the cover. But taking advantage of the no disqualification stipulation, Paul London ran out to break the count. After drilling Wolf with a superkick, he went to the top rope and came off with his shooting star press. But Wolf rolled out of the way and picked up the chair, blasting the Lightheavyweight champ over the head with it. But from behind, Kash schoolboyed Wolf and got the 1...........2.........., but that was it. Kash immediately bounced off the ropes on the near side but Wolf kicked him in the gut as he came in and loaded him up, hitting the "Chaos Driver" and rolling him over to get the 1.........2..........3. Match Time: 9:48 HTM: "He got him"! Grisham: "He got him, but not without being taken to the absolute limit! What a run this kid just made"! HTM: "Yeah, and now he can go back to the Asylum and tell all the chumps down there how hard it will be to get to this level"! AS "IN THE END" PLAYED AGAIN, BOTH CHAOS WOLF AND CHAE STOOD OVER LONDON, LOOKING DOWN AT HIM. Grisham: "London didn't get the job done tonight and you've gotta wonder if it's only a matter of time before we see that title around the waist of Chaos Wolf. Let's send it back to Mean Gene". BACKSTAGE........ Mean Gene: "Okay guys, heck of a show so far. I have just learned that we have a very special guest of honor in the building tonight. Now I don't want to give away the surprise, but I will conduct an interview with this man in the ring tonight". THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK......... A COMMERCIAL FOR BURGER KING IS SHOWN FEATURING THE KING DOING THE "LAMBEAU LEAP" IN GREEN BAY FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR THE MOVIE "GLORY ROAD". RETURN FROM BREAK....... Over the Top Challenge Rey Mysterio vs. Drew Blood vs. Batista vs. Muhammad Hassan Next up was the Over the Top challenge which was basically a mini version of the Royal Rumble. 4 of the big names in the Rumble went at it here and to start the match, Batista, Mysterio and Blood teamed up against the hated Hassan. They nearly had him out but Hassan did a great job of holding onto the ropes and sliding back in and them. Batista then caught him with a clothesline as Mysterio and Blood went at it. Blood kicked Mysterio in the abdomen and headbutted him before coming at him with a clothesline but Mysterio pulled the top rope down and Blood went out to the floor. Batista then caught Hassan with his power spinebuster and threw him down on the middle ring rope. That led to Rey hitting the 6-1-9 and as Hassan backed up from the effects of that, Batista clotheslined him out of the ring. The crowd came to their feet with the match down to Batista and Rey. Rey knew he had his work cut out for him but he came at the big man with everything he had. After ducking a clothesline, he used the ropes to hit a springboard dropkick before going to the apron, looking for his seated senton. But Batista caught him in mid air and threw him over his head. But Rey landed on his feet and hit the ropes on the other side but Batista again caught him and lifted him over his head with a gorilla press, slamming Rey over the top rope and to the floor outside. Match Time: 16:57 BATISTA's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE CELEBRATED THE WIN. MYSTERIO THEN CAME BACK IN AND SHOOK HIS HAND, CONGRATULATING HIM AS WELL. BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS SHOWN MEAN GENE STANDING WITH THE WORLD CHAMPION HIGH OCTANE. Mean Gene: "Okay, I am here at this time with the TWF World champion High Octane who faces his toughest challenge to date in the form of Money Mike at the Royal Rumble. Now Octane, many people love what you did with the first ever Pit Stop on Rampage, but they still don't give you much chance to win". High Octane: "And ya know what Gene, that's just fine with me. No one thought I was World champion material, and I beat Drew Blood twice. So Mike, I don't care if you're undefeated or not, you're not getting this off me. And as for tonight, I don't care what you do to your old pal Mark Banks, just remember that I can strike at a moment's notice". HIGH OCTANE WALKS OFF. Mean Gene: "Todd, back to you and the Honky Tonk Man at ringside". RENE DUPREE's MUSIC HITS AND THE BOOS ARE IMMEDIATELY HEARD AS HE AND DAWN MARIE COME OUT. DUPREE IS WAVING THE FRENCH FLAG, AS USUAL. Grisham: "High Octane with a little bit of confidence trailing him, wouldn't you say"? HTM: "He can have all the confidence in the world, Money Mike has been here for ten months and is yet to lose, enough said". Grisham: "Well there is one PrimeTime spot left in the Royal Rumble match and it will be determined right here, right now and this is one even I have been looking forward to". AN EVIL LAUGH IS HEARD AS RED SMOKE BEGINS TO FLOW FROM THE ENTRANCEWAY, LEADING INTO THE BOOGEYMAN's MUSIC. HE COMES OUT, SLOWLY CRAWLING ON THE ENTRANCE RAMP. HTM: "And if you ask me, this freak has no business in the Rumble match! It's the weirdest damn thing I've ever seen"! Grisham: "In recent weeks we've seen The Boogeyman go after Dawn Marie and really just mess with the head of Rene Dupree who to be honest with you, doesn't look all that thrilled to be in this match". HTM: "Well would you? He twitches, he eats worms, he's just a damn freak"! Royal Rumble Qualification Match The Boogeyman vs. Rene Dupree w/ Dawn Marie The bell sounded and Dupree started very cautiously, watching The Boogeyman go into some weird dance as he circled him. Finally they locked up and Dupree backed him into the corner. Referee Mike Enos asked for a break but Boogeyman just licked Dupree right on the cheek! Dupree, disgusted, just rolled out of the ring. Dawn did her best to calm him down but Boogeyman slithered under the bottom rope and grabbed Dupree by the hair from behind, pulling him back into the ring. Boogeyman then shot him to the corner and followed in but Dupree moved and pulled him down from behind, right onto his knees. Dupree then did his "French Tickler" dance but Boogeyman seemed to like it, sticking out his tongue. Dupree was definitely freaked by this and tried to hit the ropes but Boogeyman caught him with a slam similar to the old Boss Man Slam. Boogeyman then reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a handful of worms. The crowd was definitely grossed out as some of the live worms began moving on the mat. Boogeyman then got down on top of Dupree and stuffed 30-40 worms in the mouth of Dupree. Enos immediately called for the bell. A gagging Dawn Marie turned and ran up the ramp as Boogeyman looked on with a sick smile on his face. Red smoke began to pour out from all 4 turnposts as Boogeyman left the ring. Dupree laid on the mat with the worms still in his mouth. Match Time: 4:56 HTM: "What the hell is wrong with this guy?! That's disgusting"! Grisham: "It appears that the official ruling is Dupree wins by disqualification but it seems to me that Boogeyman doesn't really care"! HTM: "I told you he had no place in the Rumble and I'm beginning to think he has no place in this business"! THE SHOT FADES OUT WITH THE TOOTHLESS BOOGEYMAN LOOKING BACK AT DUPREE IN LAUGHTER. COMMERCIAL BREAK.......... A COMMERCIAL FOR T-MOBILE WIRELESS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER PROMO FOR THE ROYAL RUMBLE WHICH GOES OVER THE BURIED ALIVE MATCH BETWEEN NAILS AND JORDAN ROCKWELL. RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE..... HIGH OCTANE IS SHOWN WALKING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHEN MAX OGDEN COMES UP. Max Ogden: "Hey Octane. I like what you did on Rampage, that Pit Stop was awesome". High Octane: "Yeah, I know". Ogden: "And now, myself and the rest of the Hart Family can't wait for you to retain the World title at the Rumble". OCTANE SMILES AND LETS OUT A BIT OF A LAUGH BEFORE WALKING OFF. OGDEN SEEMS VERY HAPPY AS THE SHOT GOES TO THE RING. "3 MINUTES" BY 2 SKINNY J's HITS AND JAMAL AND ROSEY COME OUT ALONG WITH CRYSTAL CARMICHAEL WHO IS CARRYING BOTH OF THE RAMPAGE TAG TEAM TITLES. Grisham: "Well one has to wonder what the relationship between High Octane and the Hart Family really is but right now, as promised, the Rampage tag team titles are about to be put on the line"! HTM: "In a match that Miss Carmichael actually demanded fro her boys who are arguably the greatest tag team in TWF history". "MAKE WAY" BY METHOD MAN HITS AND TRAVIS WAKEMAN COMES OUT ALONG WITH TRISH STRATUS TO A HUGE CHEER. Grisham: "Well that's very arguable if you ask me but if they can get by what's in front of them tonight, it will be a lot tougher to argue". BRET HART's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO AN EQUALLY DEAFENING POP, IN HIS CUSTOMARY PINK AND BLACK ATTIRE. HTM: "What have Jamal and Rosey not done here? I mean, Wakeman and Hart are two of the best singles wrestlers this industry has ever seen but they haven't teamed together for years like the two across the ring have"! Grisham: "Hart and Wakeman both hold victories over Rosey and Jamal respectively and they have a huge tag team encounter at the Royal Rumble against Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels who you know have to be loving the fact they are about to have a very tough match"! Rampage Tag Team Title Match Challengers: Bret "Hitman" Hart and Travis Wakeman w/ Trish Stratus vs. Jamal and Rosey w/ Crystal Carmichael The bell sounded to start the match and it was agreed that Hart would begin against Jamal in what would be a long, grueling test for both teams. Shortly into the match, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels came out on the stage to observe. The distraction cost Hart position on Jamal who just clubbed him in the back and delivered a backdrop suplex. Rosey tagged into the match and hit Hart with a spinning legdrop. He made a quick cover but the Hitman was up at 2. Rosey pulled him up but Hart flung his arms out and caught him with 2 stiff right hands followed by an inverted atomic drop. He then hit the ropes and ducked a clothesline from Rosey. As he came off the other side, Rosey threw a kick but Hart caught his foot, only to have Rosey put him down with an enziguri. Hart went down in a heap on the mat and things did not look good. Rosey even seemed a little concerned but referee Scott Martin ordered the match to continue. Rosey whipped Hart to the corner and followed in with an avalanche splash before hitting a big belly to belly suplex. He made a cover and it was over but Wakeman came in to break up the count. Rosey tagged in Jamal who went to the top rope. But before he could fly off, Wakeman shook the ring ropes, causing him to lose his balance on rack himself on the top rope! The fans did their best, imploring Hart to make the tag. As Martin struggled with Crystal, Wakeman came into the ring and pulled Hart to their corner. Finally, Hart stuck his hand out and Wakeman slapped it, bringing himself into the match. He hit Rosey with a heavy clothesline and got on him in the corner, hitting him with 10 right hands as the fans counted with him. But when Wakeman jumped off, Jamal was waiting with a superkick that sent an echo through the building. He made the cover but somehow, Wakeman got his left shoulder off the mat at 2. Jamal and Rosey made several tags in and out, trying to take the rest of the fight out of Wakeman. But as Jamal went for a jumping splash in the corner, Wakeman moved and hit an amazing german suplex on the 400 pounder! Hart got up in the corner and even though he still looked a little dazed, he asked for the tag. Wakeman made it over and brought the Hitman back in and he immediately went to the middle turnbuckle, coming off with a front elbow on Jamal. Rosey came into the ring and hit Hart with some shots but that brought Wakeman in and he grabbed Rosey by his ponytailed hair and tossed him over the top rope and to the floor! Crystal grabbed Wakeman's foot from the floor but Trish came around and tackled her! In the ring, Jamal had Bret in a trapping headbutt but Bret used an ear clap followed by a nice side Russian leg sweep. With the big man on his back, Hart grabbed his feet and with everything he had left, he turned him over in the Sharpshooter! To add to it, Wakeman grabbed one of Jamal's arms and twisted it around, putting all kinds of pressure on and Jamal had to give it up, bringing the crowd into a frenzy as Hart's music hit. Match Time: 18:03 Grisham: "Theye did it! We have new tag team champions"! HTM: "Oh I can't believe this"! WAKEMAN GOT THE TITLES AND TOSSED ONE TO HART WHO RAISED IT UP, SHOWING ANGLE AND MICHAELS. Grisham: "How do you think Michaels and Angle like that?! If you ask me, that match at the Rumble just became even bigger, if that's possible"! HTM: "I'm speechless Todd, I just can't believe it". Grisham: "Well for you, that's definitely a first". BACKSTAGE....... IDALIS IS SHOWN STANDING WITH EDGE AND SEAN O'HAIRE. Idalis: "Well, it seems Rampage has some new champions but speaking of champions, tonight you guys...... Edge: "Yeah we know. Tonight, we face Christian and that big goof Heidenreich! And if you couldn't tell Idalis, we have a lot of gold on our side, so we'd just like to be referred to tonight as Team Goldage"! Sean O'Haire: "I've been TWF Intercontinental champion for what seems like an eternity and if that idiot Heidenreich thinks he's gonna change that because of what I did to his friend Animal, then he's got another thing comin'"! Edge: "Ya see, it's real simple! The two of us will go into the Rumble as champions and we will leave the Rumble as champions! But if we have our way in the tag match later tonight, we won't even have to wrestle at the Rumble"! IN ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA, TRACI BROOKS IS SHOWN WITH AXL IRVIN, WHO IS SEATED AND SEEMS PRETTY DOWN. Traci Brooks: "Oh come on baby, we'll get you over this losing streak". Axl Irvin: "I don't know what's wrong Trace, I can't even beat Orlando frickin Jordan. Plus, I lost my chance to enter the Royal Rumble". TRACI GETS ON AXL's LAP, STRADDLING HIM. Traci: "Look babe, I'll figure something out, I always do, don't I"? Axl: "No offense sweety, but what are you gonna do about it"? TRACI GETS OFF AXL, STANDING UP. Traci: "Well, God did give me this million dollar body. Maybe it's time I start using it". AXL SEEMS A LITTLE CONFUSED AT WHAT SHE IS SAYING AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. Edge and Sean O'Haire vs. Christian and Heidenreich Two huge matches for the Royal Rumble were put on center stage here. It was Edge and Heidenreich who began the match and the Universal champion was able to use his speed to really take the fight to the big man. After hitting the Edge-O-Matic, he tagged in O'Haire who got a running start and just Heidenreich right in the chest. He then locked in a dragon sleeper and he had him in a lot of trouble. But Heidenreich showed some tremendous power by bridging up and then sending O'Haire over his head. A groggy Heidenreich made the tag to Christian who came into the ring and had a great series with the IC champ. O'Haire was able to counter the "Un-Prettier" and then catch Christian with a jumping roundhouse. After a big powerslam, O'Haire pointed to the corner and went to the top rope. Heidenreich screamed for his partner to move as O'Haire went for the Seanton Bomb and at the last minute, Christian did move. Christian was then able to catch O'Haire with a nice reverse DDT before looking at Edge, begging him to come into the ring. But Edge just dropped off the apron and went and got his belt, essentially leaving his partner to roost. Christian made the tag to Heidenreich before pulling O'Haire up. Christian then whipped O'Haire right into Heidenreich who hit the scrapbuster slam and covered him for the 1......2.......3. Match Time: 7:12 Grisham: "And if that happens at the Royal Rumble, we will have a new Intercontinental champion"! HTM: "Yeah, old Heidenreich wouldn't know whether to wear the title or try to eat it"! EDGE LOOKED BACK, POINTING AT CHRISTIAN WHO MOTIONED AROUND HIS WAIST THAT THE BELT WOULD AGAIN BE HIS AS "DANGEROUS POLITICS" PLAYED IN THE BACK. Grisham: "And what a man Edge is, leaving his partner to take the fall! He's really got some naysayers now, especially considering the fact that he's 0 for two against Christian on pay-per-view"! HTM: "Those naysayers won't be in the match though, Edge will and he'll be able to shut them up once and for all at the Royal Rumble! And just for the record Edge, I am not one of those naysayers"! Grisham: "Well folks you don't want to go away because still to come, Money Mike takes on his former GSE running mate, Mark Banks"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR RED LOBSTER IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY YET ANOTHER ROYAL RUMBLE PROMO FOR THE TWF WORLD TITLE MATCH BETWEEN MONEY MIKE AND DAMION WEST. RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE....... AS MAIN EVENT RETURNS, MEAN GENE IS IN THE RING. Mean Gene: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome tonight's guest of honor.... the legendary Dory Funk"! DORY FUNK COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER WEARING A TWF ENTERTAINMENT T-SHIRT. Grisham: "Wow, Dory Funk, Jr. is truly a legend in this business Honky". HTM: "He sure the heck is. It's because of guys like him that these kids are able to be out here doing what they're doing today". Mean Gene: "Wow, Dory I must say it's a surprise to see you here tonight. But I think everyone would agree, a very pleasant surprise". Dory Funk: "Thank you Gene". Mean Gene: "So I gotta ask Dory, who invited you and why are you here". Funk: "Well to be honest, I don't know who it was that invited me. But I know what I want to talk about. I'm not sure how many of you know this, but both Nails and Jordan Rockwell are former pupils of mine". Mean Gene: "Down there in the Funkin' Dojo". Funk: "Exactly. Now, I hear they've signed to face each other in a Buried Alive match at the Royal Rumble and I just wanted to come out here and tell those two guys what a huge mistake they are both making. I mean, I've been in this business in one form or another for most of my natural life. I want to see the same for them. But a Buried Alive match? Getting involved in something like that could be spelling your doom boys. So I......... JUST THEN, "HELL's GUARDIAN" BY SLIPKNOT HITS AND NAILS COMES OUT TO A TON OF BOOS. Grisham: "Well here comes one of those former pupils now"! NAILS GETS INTO THE RING AND TAKES THE MICROPHONE FROM OKERLUND. Nails: "Dory, you want to know who invited you here tonight? Well, it was me. And the reason why is because I remember those long days in the Funkin' Dojo. I remember Rockwell being your favorite just because of who I was, just because you couldn't fully accepted what I had done in my life. So, I wanted you here tonight so I can give you something that I've wanted to give you for a long time. NAILS REACHES INTO HIS POCKET AND PULLS OUT A PAIR OF BRASS KNUCKS. You remember who gave me these Dory? That's right, it was you! You gave these to me because you thought I'd need to defend myself because all the wrestlers would hate me if they knew who I really was! So I decided that tonight, I would give them back to you". NAILS TAKES THE KNUCKS AND HANDS THEM TO FUNK WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY. Grisham: "He's giving them back". BUT JUST THEN, NAILS KICKS FUNK IN THE ABDOMEN AND DELIVERS A STIFF DDT. HE THEN PICKS UP THE KNUCKS AND PLACES THEM ON HIS RIGHT HAND. HTM: "No, don't let him do this"! FUNK GETS UP AND NAILS JUST DROPS HIM WITH THE LOADED FIST. FUNK FALLS TO THE MAT, OUT COLD. FINALLY, JORDAN ROCKWELL RUNS OUT IN HIS STREET CLOTHES TO A HUGE CHEER BUT NAILS LEAVES THE RING AND GOES INTO THE CROWD. Grisham: "I can't believe what he just did! That is the thanks Nails shows the man who got him his chance! The man who made him who he is"! ROCKWELL GRABBED FUNK AND WAS VISIBLY SHAKEN AS HE AND OKERLUND HELPED HIM TO THE ROPES AND THEN OUT OF THE RING. FUNK WAS BLEEDING PRETTY BADLY. HTM: "You have to believe that this has lit a fire inside Rockwell though! Dory Funk is a man he has a great deal of respect for"! Grisham: "Well ya know what, this might sound bad and I'm sorry! But if Nails is buried alive at the Royal Rumble.... I'm gonna say good"! TWF RE-WIND High Octane: "Hello everyone, it is your TWF World champion here, ready to conduct the first, and probably the last edition of the Pit Stop. Tonight, we're going to talk about one man... Money Mike. Now I know you guys have all heard it. Money Mike is a legend, Money Mike is a hall of famer, Money Mike is an eight time United States champion, yada, yada, yada. But the real question is, where did he accomplish all of this? That's right, the answer is the GSE, or as I like to call it, Gone Soon Entertainment. What Mike is failing to realize is that his GSE accomplishments translate to squat here in the TWF. HIGH OCTANE MOTIONS AT A WHITE ESCALADE THAT IS PARKED OUTSIDE THE ARENA. THE PASSENGER DOOR OPENS AND A MAN STEPS OUT AND WALKS TOWARDS OCTANE. Allow me to introduce my guest tonight. If you actually watched the GSE, you might remember him. His name is Mark "The Game" Banks. Now Mark, we know you and Mike knew each other in the GSE, but what do you think of his claims that he will be the next World champion"? Mark Banks: "Well ya know what, I was surprised this company even hired him. But let's be real Mike, the GSE was a cracker jack company and all we were trying to do was somehow make it here. Ask anybody who was there, they'll all tell you the same thing. But Mike, he held onto it like it was made of gold. So if you want me to make a prediction, Mike, High Octane is gonna prove to you at the Royal Rumble why the TWF was better all those years...... they had the talent. We had..... well we had you. You got no chance man". High Octane: "Now Mark, I know I said I would ask about getting you a job if you appeared here tonight. But there's just one thing....... I lied. WITH THAT, OCTANE STEPS BACK BEFORE SUPERKICKING BANKS. THE ARENA DOORS POP OPEN AND ALL 4 HORSEMEN COME OUT, MAKING THEIR WAY TOWARDS OCTANE. BUT BEFORE THEY GET TO HIM, THEY ARE AMBUSHED BY THE AWAITING HART FAMILY AND A STREET FIGHT BEGINS.... LITERALLY. AS THE TWO GROUPS GO AT IT, OCTANE HOPS BACK IN THE VIPER AND PEELS AWAY. Lawler: "I'd say this was a surprise! I think Octane has aligned himself with the Hart Family, just like Jimmy Hart suggested"! J.R.: "There might not be anything left of these two groups come the Rumble.... somebody get out there"! THE SHOT FADED OUT JUST AS OFFICIALS AND SECURITY HAD REACHED THE SCENE. AS THE ACTION RETURNS LIVE, MARK BANKS IS IN THE RING IN BLACK AND GREEN TIGHTS AND APPEARS TO BE A TAD OUT OF SHAPE AS THE HORSEMEN THEME HITS, LEADING MONEY MIKE AND STEPHANIE McMAHON OUT TO A MOSTLY UNFAVORABLE RESPONSE. Grisham: "That was just last week on Rampage and the consensus around the wrestling world is that High Octane sent a major message to Money Mike with what he said". HTM: "Not as big as the one Mike will send him when he takes his World title at the Royal Rumble"! Grisham: "I'm told that Mark Banks has accepted this match in an effort to impress management but I can't imagine he's very happy with High Octane either after the World champion superkicked him last week". HTM: "It was typical High Octane fashion. He won that title with the same kind of crap"! Grisham: "Oh you're dillusional. But for those of you who aren't familiar with Banks, he truly was one of the more successful superstars in the history of the GSE". HTM: "That's not saying much Todd". No Holds Barred Money Mike w/ Stephanie McMahon vs. Mark "The Game" Banks (invitee) Mike came into the ring and went right to business, slapping the taste out of Banks' mouth. Banks fought back with some right hands and knocked Mike to the mat before hitting the ropes and catching him with a flying forearm. Mike rolled out of the ring but Banks kept the pressure on with a baseball slide. He then tried to take him out with a plancha but Stephanie pulled Mike out of the way and Banks hit the floor with a thud. Mike then picked him up and proceeded to do exactly what he said he was going to do. After whipping Banks into the ringsteps, he removed the protective padding on the floor and without hesitation, drove Banks into the concrete with a piledriver. Mike then went around and got the steel chair that was occupied by Lilian Garcia, yelling "Get up Bitch" which the crowd did not appreciate. Banks slowly got to his feet but Mike smashed him with the folded chair. Mike repeated this process 3 more times and Banks was out on his feet and bleeding. But Mike wasn't done. After delivering a "Money Pit" on the entrance ramp, he called Steph over and she just kicked Banks right in the face as he looked up. Mike grabbed Banks by the right arm and dragged him to the foot on the ring before picking him up and rolling him in. But then Mike went and got the ring bell off the timekeepers table and brought it into the ring. Banks stumbled to his feet, using the ropes to hold him up. But instead of hitting him with the bell, Mike just viciously threw it at his head! Banks crumbled to the mat and the bell fell to the floor as Mike pulled Banks to the center of the ring and stood on his chest with one foot as referee Jim Korderas made the 3 count. Match Time: 8:03 Grisham: "As my good friend Jim Ross would say, mercifully this is over". HTM: "That was a pure beatdown Todd. Is Banks even alive"? Grisham: "I don't know what to say. Money Mike showed a viciousness I don't recall ever seeing in the TWF and now, just as he predicted, here come the EMTs". 6 PARAMEDICS RUSHED TO THE RING WITH A GURNEY. THEY CHECKED BANKS' VITAL SIGNS BEFORE LOADING HIM ONTO THE GURNEY AS MIKE AND STEPHANIE STOOD AND LAUGHED. BUT WHAT THEY DIDN'T REALIZE IS THAT ONE OF THE EMTs DID NOT LEAVE THE RING AND WAS NOW BEHIND THEM. MIKE TURNED AROUND AND THE EMT DRILLED HIM WITH A SUPERKICK AS THE CROWD WENT WILD. THE MAN THEN REMOVED HIS MEDIC HAT, REAVEALING BLUE HAIR AND TOOK OFF HIS GLASSES AND FAKE MUSTACHE. IT WAS HIGH OCTANE! STEPHANIE ROLLED OUT OF THE RING AS OCTANE JUST LOOKED DOWN AT THE FALLEN NUMBER ONE CONTENDER. Grisham: "Remember what Octane said! He can strike at a moment's notice"! HTM: "I can't believe that nerve of this guy! He's got guts, I'll give him that"! AS "DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS" PLAYED, HIGH OCTANE LEFT THE RING, BUT NOT BEFORE BLOWING A KISS TO STEPHANIE. Grisham: "In less than one week at the Royal Rumble, we will witness one of the most intense World title matches we've seen in some time! Good night everybody"! OFF AIR..........
