A huge number of fans were ushered into the AT&T Center in San Antonio, ready for the first TWF Main Event in over 6 months. The night was started off by a very well done 5 minute video package to promote WrestleMania X. #1 Contender for IC Title Tournament Semi-Finals Mark Henry vs. Blade With the other tournament semi-final match scheduled for the main card of Main Event, the finals would be determined tonight. For nearly 10 minutes, Henry and Blade fiercely went at it for a spot in those finals. Blade didn't had a problem with the monstrous Henry, taking the fight right to him with his own brand of roughneck offense. Henry was able to take control of the match after wearing Blade down in a bear hug, but after sending him to the ropes, he missed with an avalanche in the corner. Blade then delivered a perfect DDT but Henry got right back up. Blade used the turnbuckle and flew off with a reverse crossbody but the World's Strongest Man caught him in mid air and drove him into the mat with the "World's Strongest Slam" to get the 1.......2.......3. A spot in the tournament finals awaits Henry. Jaden Core vs. Dogg Cheatum (invitee) Fans were eager to see more of Jaden Core, who made his mysterious TWF debut on the last Rampage. His opponent, Dogg Cheatum, was invited to compete from the Texas based promotion, PWA, which is owned by Booker T. Core was very impressive in this one, using a wealth of kicks to both confuse and batter an overmatched Cheatum. Cheatum was able to get in a kick that was close to being below the belt but when he ran the ropes, Core blasted him with a jumping spin kick to the face. From there, Core went to the apron and used the top ring rope to springboard into the ring, dropping a knee across the throat/upper chest of Cheatum and that got him the win. Adding to the mystery of Jaden Core, he was wearing a mask that covered his eyes this time, as opposed to the open mask he wore on Rampage. Non-Title Match: Turrican and Carney vs. Rampage Tag Team Champs: Eddie Saint James and The Boogeyman w/ Monica The main event of Uprising saw an inter-divisional tag team battle as well as a huge oppurtunity for Carney and Turrican, who have had their problems lately. Carney started this match off very quickly and he caught both Saint James and Boogeyman with some of his fast paced offense. He was able to deliver the "C-Drive" to Boogeyman after Boogeyman punished him for several minutes, but he wasn't able to make the cover. Both men went to their corners and Carney looked to bring Turrican into the match for the first time. But just as he was about to make the tag, Monica got on the apron to distract the referee when a man with green hair popped out of the crowd. It was Doink the Clown! Doink sprayed something from a fake flower in the face of Carney just as Boogeyman slapped the hand of the Saint. That allowed The Saint to come in and deliver the "Death to Humanity" before pinning Carney. To add to the strangeness, Turrican came into the ring and looked down at the fallen Carney before leaving with Doink! The crowd booed as they walked off and even Boogeyman and Saint James seemed caught off guard. Main Event Goes Live THE FAMOUS NBC PEACOCK LOGO FLASHES ACROSS THE SCREEN BEFORE A MONTAGE VIDEO ROLLS AND "DEAD MAN WALKING" BY BLOODSIMPLE PLAYS AS HIGHLIGHTS OF PAST EDITION's OF MAIN EVENT ARE SHOWN. RED, WHITE AND BLUE PYRO ILLUMINATES THE AT&T CENTER AND THE CAMERAS PAN THE STANDS TO SHOW SEVERAL ROWDY AND CRAZY TWF FANS. Michael Cole: "We welcome you live to TWF Main Event where I sit with Jerry "The King" Lawler and King, looks like it's you and me tonight"! Jerry Lawler: "It sure is and I couldn't ask for a better seat than the one I've got tonight.... what a huge show we have"! Cole: "We're gonna start things off with a twenty man over the top rope battle royal involving superstars from both Rampage and PrimeTime. The winner earns a triple to WrestleMania 10 as part of the WrestleMania Jackpot match but as the ring fills up for that, let's talk about what else is in store". PROMO GRAPHICS CONTAINING THE MAIN EVENT LOGO AS WELL AS THE NBC PEACOCK LOGO POP UP FOR EACH MATCH. Lawler: "Well it could possibly be the biggest tag team match in TWF history! Travis Wakeman teams up with the Franchise Jordan Rockwell to face both the World and Universal champions, Randy Orton and Edge"! Cole: "Well how about this for a tag team match? The United Nations have accepted a challenge from John Cena and a partner of his choosing.... who is his partner gonna be"?! Lawler: "Well I have a feeling but we'll have to wait and see. But what about the match between Money Mike and Matt Cruz"? "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND ROB VAN DAM COMES OUT AS THE LAST MAN TO ENTER THE BATTLE ROYAL. Cole: "We know that Money Mike will take on J.J. Ramplin at WrestleMania but he's got a big test tonight. In addition to that, The Rockers will make a one time appearance as a tag team to face Rhodes and Dibiase but it looks like we're ready for this battle royal"! Lawler: "Well I also wanted to mention all the legends we have on hand tonight, a special invite sent out to some very important people to the world of wrestling. I even saw Harley Race in the back before the show"! Cole: "I saw some very familiar faces myself and the best way to become a legend in this business is to compete and compete well at WrestleMania. The WrestleMania Jackpot may be just the place to start for one of the men in the ring right now". 20 Man Battle Royal/WrestleMania Jackpot Qualifier The fight was on as the bell sounded and the ring was filled with 20 superstars all fighting for one thing. Kevin Thorn was the first man to establish dominance in the match and he got the first 4 eliminations, starting with U.N. leader William Regal. Vladimir Kozlov came over when he saw this but Ariel was at ringside and she handed Thorn his walking stick and Thorn jammed it into the esophagus area of the Moscow Mauler. Shelton Benjamin then flew in with the Shelton Splash but Thorn moved out of the way. Shelton showed great athleticism by landing on the middle turnbuckle but Thorn pushed him out of the ring anyway. He then got a surprising elimination when he dumped Jack Swagger over the top rope as Swagger tried to eliminate Axl Irvin. Axl was quickly jumped on by Chris Masters. Meanwhile, a heck of a fight was going on between Tyson Kidd and the new masked man, Jaden Core. Core was able to duck a jump kick and catch Kidd with a back footsweep but when he tried to whip him to the corner, Kidd reversed it and flew in with a knee to the side of the head. He then placed Core in the tree of woe and flew in with a jumping dropkick to the head. On the other side of the ring, Kevin Thorn and Mr. Kennedy, who have met in these situations an astonishing amount of times over the years, went at it. Kennedy had Thorn against the ropes but out of nowhere, Thorn continued the trend of one of these men eliminating the other from a battle royal or the Royal Rumble when he muscled the man who main evented WrestleMania last year out of the ring. Sylvester Terkay met Vladimir Kozlov in an interesting battle of hand to hand combat but a strike below the belt allowed Kozlov to clothesline the Manbear over the top rope. Meanwhile, Tyson Kidd lowbridged the top rope as Finlay ran at him and that took the fighting Irishman out of the match. Vladimir Kozlov would become the new man to beat as he ended the run of Kevin Thorn, paying him back for the shot with the walking stick and throwing him out of the match. Kozlov then did the same to Tito Ortiz and Matt Hardy. But as Tito Ortiz got up, he jumped back on the apron and was having words with Kozlov when PJ Cash dropkicked Kozlov in the back and sent him sailing over the top rope! Cash was very happy with the elimination but he turned right into a hard clothesline from the Masterpiece and Tyson Kidd caught him with a perfect superkick that sent him out of the ring. Charlie Haas had Dolph Ziggler just about out but Ziggler did a great job of hanging on and he landed on the apron. Kidd came over and went at it with Haas but Ziggler got back up and was able to get both guys out of the match! Just then, Jaden Core flew right over the hunched Ziggler and landed right on the eliminated Tyson Kidd. But when Core tried to get back in the ring, he was informed by one of the referees outside that he had just eliminated himself. We were getting down to the nitty gritty and Axl Irvin and Chris Masters were still at each other's throats. RVD was able to hit Gregory Helms with the Rolling Thunder but when he went to the top rope, Mike Knox came out of nowhere and threw Van Dam to the floor. Axl was able to put Masters down with a DDT before coming up from behind the unsuspecting Knox and dumping him to the floor. Axl then went at it with Ziggler and after overpowering him, he sent up for the "Axl Cutter" when Masters came in with a low blow. The Masterpiece then threw Axl over the top rope. But as Masters celebrated, Axl went and grabbed a steel chair and brought it into the ring, cracking Masters over the skull with it. He then clotheslined the former World champ over the top rope and onto the floor. The referees declared it an official elimination and we were down to 2 men.... Gregory Helms and Dolph Ziggler. With a spot in the Jackpot on the line, Ziggler and Helms went all out. Talia, who had come out with Helms, was acting as his cheerleader outside, trying to rally him as Ziggler was clearly becoming the favorite with each passing moment. Ziggler was able to deliver a 'Rude Awakening' style neckbreaker before picking Helms up and trying to get him over the top rope. But Helms grapevined that top rope with his arms and legs and held on with everything he had. Ziggler got him to the apron when Talia got involved, coming into the ring. Ziggler turned and he had a huge smile on his face. He grabbed the lovely woman and who knows what he had in mind but Helms came from behind with a jump kick to the back of the head. He then put one hand on the back of Ziggler's head and with the other, he grabbed a handful of tights before launching him over the top rope! Match Time: 13:16 Cole: "Look at this..... Gregory Helms has done it"! Lawler: "I watch PrimeTime and I know that many people and even Helms himself have been saying this guy is so close to becoming a breakout star! Maybe he's closer than ever to doing so"! "IT's TIME" PLAYED AS TALIA CELEBRATED THE BIG WIN WITH HELMS AND SOME OF THE FANS WERE EVEN CHEERING. Cole: "Gregory Helms has just won himself a spot in the WrestleMania Jackpot.... one spot remains, King"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... The fans cheer as Lena Yada is shown standing next to Jordan Rockwell who has his Intercontinental title on his shoulder.
Lena Yada: "Jordan, I wanted to get your thoughts on your match tonight when you team with ECW champion Travis Wakeman to face TWF champion Randy Orton and Universal champion Edge".
Jordan Rockwell: "Well, Lena, I'm not going to bother giving any comment about Orton cause I think it will be pointless since Wakeman will take care of him tonight, so that brings me to my old buddy Edge and to be honest, Edge, I just do not know what has happened to you, after all, you used to be entertaining and you'd have a good time. But nowadays, you are about as entertaining and interesting as a Jason Oliver promo which says something since he is like a blind man watching paint dry or better yet like a deaf man asking for the television volume to be turned up.
I mean come on Edge, you walk around here with a chip on your shoulder, a bug up your butt and like you are angry at the world and that is not the way to be even though I know you have a lot to be upset about after all you do look like your Mom had sexual intercourse with a Klingon but hey, I am not one to get into your personal business. Then again maybe just maybe, your problem is the fact that despite being the Universal champion you are nothing but second best because you are after all on the same show with me and someone has to be number two".
JUST THEN CM PUNK ENTERS THE SHOT.
CM Punk: "Ya know, if I were you, I would worry less about Edge and making jokes and a lot more about the winner of the tournament for the number one contendership to that title".
Rockwell: "I'm sorry, did you say something? I was thinking about Edge and him being a........
Punk: "Enough with the jokes, Rockwell"!
Rockwell: "Jokes?! No the joke is you interrupting me and trying to tell me how to do, well anything, cause bottom line, I know all about this tournament considering I was the one that asked for it and to go one step further, I was the one that asked him to put you in it"!
Punk: "Oh is that so?! And why would you do that"?
Rockwell: "Because I knew sooner or later you and I would be face to face inside that ring and truth be told, I got tired of waiting, and to be perfectly honest, I hope you win this thing and you come after this championship belt so that way you can find out just exactly who the hell I am..... the hard way"!
Rockwell walks off leaving Punk looking on........... COMMERCIAL BREAK............. A COMMERCIAL FOR AMP ENERGY DRINKS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PROMO FOR WRESTLEMANIA 10 FEATURING JASON OLIVER VS. SHAWN MICHAELS. RETURN FROM BREAK...... WHEN THE MAIN EVENT COMES BACK, TODD GRISHAM IS STANDING IN THE BACK ALONG WITH MONEY MIKE WHO IS HOLDING A BLACK BRIEFCASE. Todd Grisham: "I've just caught up with Money Mike here and I gotta ask.... what's with the briefcase"? Money Mike: "Inside this case, Todd, is more money than you'll ever see in your pathetic little life. Matt Cruz..... hopefully this message gets to you before our match, because we don't have to do this tonight. I've got three hundred grand in this case and it's yours..... all you have to do is align yourself with me". Grisham: "But why? I mean, why would Matt Cruz want to do that and why would you want him to"? Money Mike: "As you know, I am out to make life better for those less fortunate. Matt Cruz certainly falls into that category. While I won't get into anything too personal, yet, I think it's safe to say that many people within the industry expected much more from him at this point in his career. What better way to change his fortune than to take this briefcase"? MONEY MIKE WALKS AWAY Grisham: "That match takes place later tonight. Will Matt Cruz take the case? Back to you guys at ringside". THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE JOHN MORRISON's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND HE IS IN THE RING. #1 Contender for IC Title Tournament Semi-Finals John Morrison vs. CM Punk Two very athletic superstars here put on a great match that started with Morrison in full control after putting Punk down with a big spinebuster moments into the match. Morrison would hit his springboard roundhouse kick but when he went for the "Moonlight Drive", Punk spun out of it and got him up on his shoulders. Seeing a "GTS" in his future, Morrison slipped off his shoulders and spun him around. Punk blocked a right hand and came back with a kick to the midsection followed by 3 hard knifedge chops. After shooting Morrison to the far corner, Punk followed in with a huge knee to the side of the head. Punk loaded Morrison up for his running bulldog but Morrison pushed free and caught Punk with a round kick to the head that knocked him into the ring ropes. Morrison ran in at him but Punk countered with a backbody drop to the floor. Punk then ran the ropes on the far side of the ring, leaping over the top rope with a suicide dive. But he hit the floor very hard when Morrison moved out of the way. After rolling back in the ring, Morrison pulled referee Mickey Henson's attention away from Punk and suddenly, Edge came running out from the back. Punk got up and caught a huge spear from the Universal champion! Edge quickly made his way to the back and Morrison then demanded that Henson start to count. Henson reached the count of 10 and called for the bell. Match Time: 6:16 Cole: "Punk has been counted out"! Lawler: "Edge has cost CM Punk his shot at being Intercontinental champion, but why"?! MORRISON's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE WALKED TO THE BACK WITH THE WIN. Cole: "I have no idea what any of this has to do with Edge but John Morrison has become the benefactor here"! BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW MELINA MAKING THE FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR HER MATCH WHEN THERE IS A KNOCK ON HER DRESSING ROOM DOOR. Melina: "Uh.... come in". THE DOOR OPENS AND RANDY ORTON ENTERS THE ROOM. MELINA SEEMS A LITTLE STARTLED. Randy Orton: "Shhh..... there's no need to be scared, Melina. I just came in here to wish you good luck in your match tonight. I know you'll do great". MELINA GRABS THE WOMEN's TITLE BELT AND TURNS TO LEAVE THE ROOM WHEN ORTON SLAPS HER ON THE BACKSIDE. SHE TURNS AND GIVES HIM A DIRTY LOOK BEFORE LEAVING THE ROOM. IN ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA, JOHN CENA IS SHOWN MAKING HIS WAY DOWN A HALLWAY WHEN HE RUNS INTO HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN WHO IS HOLDING HIS TRADEMARK 2x4 AND OLD GLORY. Hacksaw Jim Duggan: "Hey Cena..... I heard you were in need of a partner tonight.... someone who is as patriotic as there has ever been. Well look no further, I'm your guy, toughguy". John Cena: "Heh, thanks Hacksaw, but I've already got a partner. Maybe next time". CENA AND DUGGAN SHAKE HANDS BEFORE THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. "THOUGHTLESS" BY EVANESCENCE COMES ON AND MONICA COMES TO THE RING TO A BLUR OF BOOS. Cole: "John Cena and whomever his partner are will take on the United Nations later tonight. That match will not be for the titles but this one here will"! Lawler: "Well Melina will have to have a better gameplan than the last time she faced off with Monica.... Monica already has a pinfall win over the Women's champ"! THE FANS POP WHEN MELINA's MUSIC HITS AND SHE STRUTS DOWN TO THE RING WITH THE WOMEN's TITLE AROUND HER WAIST BEFORE DOING HER FAMOUS RING ENTRANCE. Cole: "And let's not forget all the emotions that have to be going through Melina's mind with whatever is going on with Travis Wakeman, not to mention what Randy Orton has been doing lately". Lawler: "Well it's hard to argue Orton making Melina the winner of that bikini contest, she did look great! Well, so did Kelly Kelly and Mickie James and well.... they all looked great"! Cole: "Well right now, King, it's not about a bikini contest..... it's about the Women's title"! TWF Women's Title Match Challenger: Monica vs. Melina These two ladies wasted no time attacking each other, going right at it even before the bell rang. Monica was able to overpower a very determined Melina, hitting her with 3 stiff forearms to the face. She went for a suplex but Melina blocked it and took Monica to the mat with an armbar. Fans were on their feet as it looked like the challenger would tap out. But Monica risked breaking her own arm by rolling over to get free. She got up holding her arm and Melina moved in with a kick to the head. She then picked her up and delivered a huge DDT before covering her for the 1........2........., but Monica was up. Melina picked her up and whipped her to the corner but when she ran in, Monica lifted up and put 2 feet right in her face before delivering a nasty floatover DDT. Monica saw an oppurtunity and even with her hobbled right arm, decided to take it. She went to the top rope and came off with the 450 splash, landing perfectly right on Melina and knocking everything out of her. She hooked the leg as referee Jack Doan issued the 3 count and a new Women's champion was crowned. Match Time: 4:43 Lawler: "We've got a new champion! She beat her again"! Cole: "Melina has fallen victim to Monica once again and in the process, has lost the Women's title". "THOUGHTLESS" PLAYED AGAIN AND MONICA RIPPED THE TITLE OUT OF THE HANDS OF DOAN BEFORE HOLDING IT UP OVER HER HEAD. Lawler: "The rise of this woman has been something special, Michael. She may not be the most popular or the prototypical TWF diva, but she has never lost a match and now, she stands at the top of the Women's division"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.............. RETURN FROM BREAK...... BACKSTAGE..... CAMERAS IN THE BACK CATCH A CONVERSATION BETWEEN JASON OLIVER, CODY RHODES AND TED DIBIASE. Cody Rhodes: "Can you believe this, we're facing The Rockers tonight"? Ted Dibiase: "I know, they're a team even my Dad has faced before". Jason Oliver: "Just make sure you win the match and when you do...... I've come up with a move that will keep Shawn Michaels down. We'll consider it a WrestleMania preview, if you will". Cameras show Chaos Wolf on a cell phone backstage as Chris Tirpak comes up.
Chaos Wolf: "Yeah, I’ll see you guys on Primetime and thanks for having my back".
Wolf hangs up the cell phone.
Chris Tirpak: "Well it seems like I have plans for WrestleMania, but you do not, ‘old friend’".
Chaos Wolf: "Yeah, funny thing about that Tirpak is that not only do I have plans for Mania, but I also have a match".
Tirpak: "Oh really? And just who would you be facing"?
Wolf: "Well I’m waiting on Shane to get back to me to confirm it, but I will be issuing an open challenge to anyone in or out of the TWF to fight me in my last Light’s Out match for as long as I’m on PrimeTime".
Tirpak just grins at Wolf before starting to walk away only to have Gangrel and Drusus brush past him and get right up in Wolf’s face.
Wolf: "Well if it isn’t Dracula’s little man servants. What can I do for you pansies"?
Gangrel: If you know what's good for you, then you will stay out of the Requiem’s way. Especially concerning our plans this coming Primetime for Ms. Carano".
Wolf: "Hold up, let me give you a message to take back to that punk you call a leader as well as teach you a lesson. The message is that come PrimeTime, if I feel like it, I’ll be out there to mess up your plan and it’ll be three against three as I just spoke to my back-up who said they will be there. Boys I said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve got friends in high places".
Gangrel: "Rest assured we’ll give Kevin the message but what is this lesion you have for us, little man"?
Wolf answers that with a right hand and the fight is on. After a few minutes things get bad as the numbers game catches up to Wolf. He shoves Gangrel away and inadvertently into Tirpak. As Wolf turns to deal with Drusus, he fails to see Gangrel come from behind. Before Gangrel could do anything, a crack was heard and Gangrel fell to the floor revealing Tirpak with his trusty kendo stick. Drusus got the hell out of dodge as Tirpak and Wolf stare each other down. "KING OF KINGS" BY MOTORHEAD STRIKES UP AND BOOS IMMEDIATELY FILL THE AT&T CENTER WHEN MONEY MIKE COMES OUT, CARRYING THE BRIEFCASE HE HAD EARLIER. Cole: "Well are we gonna have a match here or not? Here comes Money Mike with that briefcase which he claims contains three hundred thousand dollars". Lawler: "Well we won't have a match if Matt Cruz accepts that money". "THE NEXT EPISODE" BY DR. DRE HITS AND THE FANS LOUDLY CHEER WHEN MATT CRUZ STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK. Cole: "But why would he? Listen to the cheers, look at the show of respect for Matt Cruz. If he accepts that money, it all goes away! If he aligns himself with Money Mike, that's all gone"! Lawler: "Yeah, but you have to admit that Money Mike makes a point. Matt Cruz seems to me to just be floundering right now in the TWF and Money Mike, who we know looks out for those less fortunate, could give him the career boost he needs"! Cole: "Oh cut the less fortunate crap! Doesn't Mike have a big match coming up with J.J. Ramplin at WrestleMania? So isn't it a possibility that he's looking for as much help going into that match as he can get"? CRUZ CLIMBS INTO THE RING AND MIKE OFFERS HIM THE BRIEFCASE. THE FANS BEGIN TO BOO WHEN CRUZ GRABS IT BUT THEY LOUDLY CHEER WHEN HE SMASHES MIKE RIGHT OVER THE HEAD WITH IT. Cole: "I'll take that as a no"! Lawler: "What the heck is Cruz thinking"?! REFEREE CHAD PATTON ASKS FOR THE BELL TO START THE MATCH. Money Mike vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz Cruz was all over Mike after hitting him with the briefcase. A belly to belly throw got him a very near fall but he didn't let up. Pushing Mike into the corner, Cruz buried him with a countless amount of overhand rights before dropping him with a European uppercut. He then ran the ropes and used his boot to give Mike a facewash manuever. Mike was in trouble and he tried to roll out of the ring but Cruz stopped him and pulled him back to the center of the ring, dropping a big elbow across his chest. After a huge double underhook suplex, Cruz pulled Mike up and whipped him with all his might to the corner, following in. But Cruz hit the buckle hard when Mike moved out of the way and Mike then grabbed Cruz, delivering the "Money Pit" out of nowhere to get the 1........2.........3! Match Time: 5:39 Cole: "And just like that, this one is over"! Lawler: "One mistake was all it took to cash in..... I bet Cruz wishes he would've cashed in now, if you know what I mean". "KING OF KINGS" PLAYED AS MONEY MIKE JUST STOOD OVER MATT CRUZ, SHAKING HIS HEAD BEFORE LEAVING THE RING. Cole: "Well I'm sure J.J. Ramplin was watching this match and keeping close tabs on ways he can defeat Money Mike when we get to WrestleMania". BACKSTAGE AREA....... A SEEMINGLY FRUSTRATED CARNEY IS SHOWN WALKING THROUGH THE BACKSTAGE AREA. HE TURNS A CORNER AND COMES FACE TO FACE WITH JADEN CORE. SUDDENLY, CARNEY JUST FLIPS OUT, TURNING A TABLE OVER AND THROWING A STACK OF PAPERS ALL OVER THE FLOOR WHILE YELLING "I AM SO SICK OF ALL THESE DAMN MASKS"! BUT WHEN CARNEY TURNS AROUND, JADEN CORE HAS JUST DISAPPEARED. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE "MISERIA CANTARE" IS PLAYING AND JOE COREY IS IN THE RING. Joe Corey: "So not only have I been prevented from competing at the tenth anniversary of WrestleMania, but I get here tonight and find out I'm not booked for this show either. THE WORD "REVENGE" APPEARS ON THE PRIMETRON IN FLAMING LETTERS. "IN MY DARKEST HOUR" BEGINS TO PLAY AND NEMESIS STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK, CARRYING A BASEBALL BAT. Cole: "Ar you kidding me?! This is not what I was expecting"! Lawler: "It's Nemesis! How long has it been since we saw him"?! Cole: "This is Joe Corey's WrestleMania 8 opponent, a man he has had a lot of problems with over the years"! NEMESIS GETS INTO THE RING AND COREY MEETS HIM WITH A BARRAGE OF RIGHT HANDS. BUT AFTER RUNNING THE ROPES, HE CATCHES A BOOT RIGHT TO THE MOUTH. NEMESIS THEN GETS DOWN AND BEGINS TO CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF COREY WHEN TITO ORTIZ RUNS OUT FROM THE BACK AND SLAPS A CHOKEHOLD ON NEMESIS. THE CROWD BOOS HASTILY, BUT ONCE NEMESIS IS INCAPACITATED, HE FALLS PREY TO THE "SHOWSTOPPER". Cole: "Well this is just pathetic! Once again, Corey has gotten assistance from the UFC legend, Tito Ortiz"! Lawler: "And Nemesis has certainly been left the worse for wear"! "HERE COMES THE MONEY" HITS AND SHANE McMAHON COMES OUT ON STAGE TO A MASSIVE CHEER. HE HAS A MICROPHONE IN HAND. Cole: "Hey, here comes Shane McMahon! Maybe he's gonna suspend Corey"! Lawler: "I can't believe it, but I'd be willing to guess that Corey liked it better when he wasn't a part of WrestleMania"! COMMERCIAL BREAK............ RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE...... WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS ON THE NBC NETWORK, RICHARD RAMSLEY IS SHOWN IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE A PRE-RECORDED SEGMENT. HE PUSHES A DOOR OPEN TO A DARK ROOM AND SOMEONE CAN BE SEEN WELDING SOMETHING NOT FAR AWAY. RAMSLEY CREEPS UP ON THE MAN WHO LAYS HIS TORCH DOWN, AN EAR TO EAR SMILE ON HIS FACE. "BLACK" BY SEVENDUST HITS AND SEBASTIAN CAIN COMES OUT TO A BIG CHEER WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "Well, King, we've got four matches left tonight and they are all tag team affairs.... this should be a good one"! Lawler: "Can you believe the news of this legends battle royale? Maybe I'll be asked to compete! Maybe they'll give the winner a night.... or even a week with a diva of their choice"! "LEFT BEHIND" BY SLIPKNOT PLAYS AND NAILS COMES OUT TO BIG CHEERS. Cole: "Uh, I wouldn't hold your breath on that but it seems that Nails has someone with their sights locked on him in Samaiel". Lawler: "Nails is a TWF original, the baddest man in history, we all know that. But Samaiel is either not scared of him or really stupid. Did you see that mask"?! "HEY MAN, NICE SHOT" BY FILTER HITS AND RICHARD RAMSLEY SLOWLY MAKES HIS WAY OUT FROM THE BACK. Cole: "Well on the last Rampage, we were witness to one of the strangest situations in recent memory! For weeks, Richard Ramsley has used any outlet he could find to talk about someone who had irked him beyond belief. Feeling he'd cracked the code, Sebastian Cain brought the fight to him"! Lawler: "Very presumptive on Cain's part, we don't even know if that's who Ramsley was referring to"! AS SOON AS RAMSLEY GETS TO THE RING, HE CLIMBS IN AND IS ALL OVER CAIN. Cole: "Does that answer your question"?! NAILS JOINED IN TO HELP CAIN BUT "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" BY WOJAHN BROTHERS COMES ON AND SAMAIEL COMES OUT BUT IS IN NO HURRY TO GET TO THE RING. Sebastian Cain and Nails vs. Richard Ramsley and Samaiel Nails and Cain pulled up Ramsley and shot him to the ropes, delivering a hard double clothesline. Nails then locked eyes on Samaiel and left the ring where they began a slugfest in the aisle. In the ring, Cain came off the top rope with a flying clothesline on Ramsley before covering him for a 2 count. Cain pulled him up but Ramsley got a punch into the abdomen before raking the eyes of the King of Cable. After a running knee lift, Ramsley took Cain down with a clothesline of his own. Samaiel was then able to reverse a whip and send Nails hard into the steel ring post. He then got up on the apron and accepted Ramsley's tag. Samaiel came into the ring and stayed on Cain, keeping him on the mat. After a big delay vertical suplex, Samaiel came off the middle turnbuckle with a well placed elbow drop before covering him for the 1........2........, but Cain was up. Nails was starting to come around outside the ring and he grabbed Ramsley by the right foot and yanked him off the apron. Ramsley threw a right hand but Nails ducked and caught him with a big uppercut. Samaiel went for a leg drop but he landed hard on the mat when Cain rolled out of the way. Both men got to their feet and Samaiel stumbled towards the side of the ring Nails was on, only to be pulled down on the top rope with a hangman by the hockey masked freak! Samaiel flailed backwards only to be rolled up by Cain who held his shoulders to the mat for the pin! Match Time: 4:26 Cole: "He got him! Sebastian Cain gets the pin with an assist from Nails"! Lawler: "Yeah, well it's pretty safe to say we haven't seen the last of either of these situations"! "BLACK" PLAYED AGAIN AND NAILS JUST LEFT THE RING SHORTLY AFTER RAMSLEY AND SAMAIEL RETREATED, LEAVING IT FOR CAIN TO SOAK IN THE APPLAUSE. Cole: "Well Samaiel clearly has something in store for Nails, but what about this weird situation between Ramsley and Cain"? BACKSTAGE....... FANS CHEER WHEN THE ROCKERS ARE SHOWN IN THE BACK, BOTH WEARING BRIGHT YELLOW OUTFITS WITH TASSLES. Marty Jannetty: "It's time to rock and roll........ Shawn Michaels: "And strut and stroll". MICHAELS ALLOWS JANNETTY TO WALK AHEAD. Michaels (laughing to himself): "I can't believe I just said that". Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase vs. The Rockers The Rockers came out to their old music and they had the fans on their feet. But the young tandem of Rhodes and Dibiase were not phased, jumping all over Marty Jannetty when the bell rang. But Shawn Michaels stepped in to help his longtime partner, becoming the official man in the match by taking on both men. After a big hip toss on Rhodes, Michaels caught a charging Dibiase with a back bodydrop. He then slammed the hand of Jannetty and Jannetty went to the top rope. Michaels grabbed his partner and launched him across the ring at both men. Referee Jose Mendez stepped in, trying to get some order in the match. But as he talked with Michaels, Rhodes and Dibiase were able to get an unfair double team in on Jannetty and after a right hand to the temple by Dibiase, Rhodes put Jannetty down with the "Cross Rhodes" and that led to the 3 count. Match Time: 4:18 Lawler: "They got 'em! Rhodes and Dibiase have defeated The Rockers"! Cole: "Wait a minute, here comes Jason Oliver"! SHAWN MICHAELS KNELT DOWN IN THE RING NEAR JANNETTY AND HE DIDN'T REALIZE THAT JASON OLIVER HAD COME TO THE RING AND WAS RIGHT BEHIND HIM. MICHAELS GOT UP AND TURNED RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK THAT JACKED HIS HEAD BACK! THE CROWD LOUDLY BOOED AS OLIVER LEFT THE RING WITH RHODES AND DIBIASE. Cole: "Jason Oliver has laid Shawn Michaels out with a superkick"! Lawler: "Yeah, he calls that the Kickstart"! "FLY FROM THE INSIDE" BY SHINEDOWN PLAYED AS OLIVER, RHODES AND DIBIASE STOOD ATOP THE RAMP POSING. WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, LENA YADA IS STANDING WITH SHANE McMAHON IN THE BACK. Lena Yada: "Shane, you have already announced that Joe Corey will be forced to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, along with a Legends battle royale. But, now you have an even bigger announcement"? Shane McMahon: "That's right, Lena, I do. With WrestleMania 10 fast approaching, I figured it was appropriate for me to announce that Edge will be defending the TWF Universal title...... against the Franchise..... Jordan Rockwell. Thank you". THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE THE U.N.'s MUSIC IS PLAYING. PAUL BURCHILL AND HARRY SMITH ARE IN THE RING WEARING THEIR TAG TEAM BELTS AND KATIE LEA IS WITH THEM. Cole: "Wow.... a huge announcement indeed"! Lawler: "You bet, Jordan Rockwell challenging Edge for the Universal title"! "THE TIME IS NOW" COMES ON AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT TO A MOSTLY FAVORABLE CHEER. Cole: "Well here comes a match we have really been looking forward to. After defeating William Regal on the last edition of PrimeTime, John Cena was jumped by the entire U.N.! But he issued this challenge to the TWF Tag Team champions, saying he would find a partner"! Lawler: "But we have no idea who that partner is"! CENA STOPS AT THE FOOT OF THE RING AND LOOKS BACK, WITH A BOYISH SMILE ON HIS FACE. THE CROWD ABSOLUTELY ERUPTS WHEN "REAL AMERICAN" PLAS AND HULK HOGAN COMES OUT! Cole: "Oh my God.... I don't believe it"! Lawler: "John Cena has gone out and found the biggest name of all time.... it's Hulk Hogan"! SMITH AND BURCHILL LOOKED SHOCKED AS HOGAN CAME DOWN THE RAMP. Cole: "Well if this isn't a dream team, I don't know what is! Listen to this place"! Non-Title Match John Cena and Hulk Hogan vs. Tag Team Champs: The United Nations w/ Katie Lea Seeing it as perhaps their only chance, Smith and Burchill attacked Cena and Hogan before the bell rang. Smith clotheslined Cena over the top rope and followed him to the floor. Smith aggressively pounded on Cena and Katie Lea even got in a couple cheap shots. In the ring, Hogan never got off the blocks and Burchill was all over him. After a swinging neckbreaker, Burchill yelled into the crowd, "What about your real American now"?! He then pulled Hogan up and rocked him with a right hand, but Hogan slowly began to "hulk up". Strangely, Burchill continued to hit Hogan, only fueling his adrenaline rush. Hogan was then able to reverse an irish whip before catching Burchill with a big boot to the face. Smith came into the ring but Hogan blocked a right hand and hit him with one of his own, knocking him right into the clutches of Cena who delivered his swinging sideslam. Hogan then ran the ropes and dropped the big legdrop across the throat of Burchill before covering him for the win. Match Time: 3:40 Cole: "Oh wow! What a moment"! AS "REAL AMERICAN" BLASTED OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS, HOGAN WAS ABLE TO RIP OFF THE SHIRT HE WORE TO THE RING AND THE CROWD WAS GOING NUTS. CENA AND HOGAN SHOOK HANDS AND BEGAN TO POSE TOGETHER WITH CENA TRYING HIS HAND AT ALL OF HOGAN's TRADEMARK POSES. Lawler: "This is great! Look at all the pictures being taken by the crowd"! Cole: "This is a once in a lifetime scene, King! This is terrific"! AS THE CELEBRATION CONTINUED, HOGAN ASKED FOR A MICROPHONE AND THE MUSIC STOPPED PLAYING. CENA SHAKES HOGAN's HAND ONE MORE TIME AND LEAVES THE RING, TO WHICH HOGAN APPLAUDS AND ASKS THE FANS TO SHOW CENA SOME RESPECT. Cole: "Well I gotta tell ya, that's gonna be amazing! Two of the biggest stars this business has ever seen, going one on one at the biggest event of the year"! Lawler: "It's gonna be like King Kong versus Godzilla! What a huge match"! BACKSTAGE......... IN THE BACK, TODD GRISHAM IS STANDING BY WITH TROY GAFGEN. Todd Grisham: "I am here at this time with Troy Gafgen who will be one of the participants in the WrestleMania Jackpot match. Now Troy.................. SUDDENLY, CHRIS TIRPAK ENTERS THE SHOT AND GETS RIGHT IN TROY GAFGEN's FACE. Chris Tirpak: "Save the speech, Troy, we all know what you're gonna say. But it doesn't matter, you got into the WrestleMania Jackpot because you used your little New Year's resolution. Well in case you didn't know, I won the Jackpot last year.... I grabbed the briefcase! (He pulls up a kendo stick) Who wants to bet I'll do it again"? TIRPAK GIVES GAFGEN A LONG STARE BEFORE JUST WALKING AWAY. Randy Orton and Edge vs. Travis Wakeman and Jordan RockwellBilled as one of the biggest tag team matches in TWF history, this match now represented the four men competing in the 2 main events of WrestleMania. But there was never much of a match. Rockwell and Wakeman started out very strong against Egde and Orton, who didn't seem to have any interest in being partners. Rockwell was able to get Edge in the STF as Wakeman tried to get the Crossface on Orton. But Orton fought free and caught Wakeman with a couple hard back elbows to the face. He then got up and kicked Wakeman very hard in the right side and Wakeman seemed to be in impervious pain. But from there, Orton and Edge together beat on Rockwell until referee Mike Chioda called for the bell, disqualifying them. Wakeman rolled to the floor and grabbed a steel chair, coming back into the ring. He dropped the chair when Orton ran at him but he was able to backdrop the World champion over the top rope. Rockwell then grabbed the loose chair and belted Edge right over the head as the crowd loudly cheered. Match Time: 5:33 Cole: "Orton and Edge have been disqualified and Wakeman and Rockwell have lost it"! Lawler: "Wakeman's got a microphone". Travis Wakeman: "Enough! I'm tired of running from this"! Cole: "What is he talking about"? Wakeman: "Everyone knows there is something wrong with me, so Orton, you might as well stay out here and listen! ORTON AND EDGE STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLE, INTENTLY LISTENING. WAKEMAN LOOKS DOWN, HIS EYES BARELY OPEN. I have a disease...... a very serious disease. It doesn't matter what it is, cause it kills you just like anything else. Wrestling is what I do.... this is in my blood and without the proper cure, which is a longshot.... I will die doing this.
